I don't actually have any hoya, although I think this might be a sign, because there's a different varietal of hoya that is very close to my irl name, too. I will have to start keeping an eye out for this one (which is also known as a fishtail hoya), because I just love it and would love to have one. Thank you for the tip!
I'm glad people have been enjoying my houseplants! It's something I've just gotten really into since the beginning of the year, and it's brought me a lot of joy. Like, we all found each other on this website because we like the same anime, but it's really because we're all looking for friends, so it makes me feel good to share a little bit more about my life and have people enjoy it. 💕

Plants, unlike humans, don't scream out loud or demand attention whenever they do anything wonderful, or in fact, when they do anything. Thus it is easy to jump to the conclusion that the plant's growth is stagnant hence it is not doing well. But we do get pleasant surprises sometimes, like sudden, unexpected flowers. The most common plant happening that we won't notice is rooting. The plant could just be concentrating on its root growth to explore new "underground" territories but we worry over its lack of top growth.
Anyway, for this plant, because I don't have much successful experiences with hoyas I was wondering if it is actually happy. But I wasn't worrying because it doesn't seem to be wilting or getting dehydrated so I just left it to be. (Before this one I'd learnt the hard way that hoyas need more water than I thought so am thankful for those experiences.)
Few days ago, I noticed that new growth has emerged 🎉
Meanwhile I'm still observing my Philodendron billietiae and trying to apply/convince myself with the above concept/theory with it LOL

Hoya polyneura broget is such an interesting plant to grow. For this particular baby @plantsxplants shared with me, the silvery variegation only comes after the leaves finish hardening as if the leaves decides how green/silver they want to become as they grow into their final form, instead of having the variegation set before they start to unfurl like those Monsteras and philodendrons. Thank you @plantpotting for sharing the baby @mud.witch with me whose matcha/wasabi shade pairs so well with these little fishtails 🧜🏻‍♀️ (at Seattle, Washington) https://www.instagram.com/p/CKSEQ3FgyVU/?igshid=1jbmvvomxl8jt

My Hoya Polyneura ‘fishtail’ has grown one size up since I moved it to the kitchen for more sunshine and a slightly higher average temperature and humidity. I think it’s also happy to be hanging (literally) out with its other wax leave friends and their hanging planter homes. I actually got one of those mermaid tail pots for my Hoya Polyneura ‘Fishtail’ before its arrival, but after actually meeting her, I decided to potted her in this @riverof.ceramics double dreamers for so many reasons 🌱 She’s waiting for her other polyneura roommate to move in next door 🌱 Those two leaves right on top of the dreamer head reminded me so much of the sprout hairpin once shared in Rima’s stories 🌱 And as far as I know Rima’s also looking for a polyneura so thought I’d kinda fulfill that iso and hopefully I’ll get to bring her a part of it when I visit Canada!⁣ ⁣ Rima @riverof.ceramics is having her shop update tomorrow (Aug 22) at 7pm mst (6pm pst/8pm cst/9pm est). There are some incredible new glaze recipe that I cannot wait to get my hands on! Don’t forget to check her out at www.riverofceramics.com (but again, dear plant/planter addict friends of mine, please save some for me 🤣) (at Seattle, Washington) https://www.instagram.com/p/B1cBhV-ggo3/?igshid=1vi09yo19m5mo
