I honestly don't think any update WONT be controversial in some way, they could do a 10 page of nothingness and people will complain about the lack of Vriska, it's a shame that it's turned into a hateconsuming fest, I'm not forgiving the fans of the Epilogues or HS2 either since i've seen them also egg on the haters to see what they spew out next. I miss the old Gigapause phase where everyone was united in their antipaction of the UP8

I would say I agree with you, but even then, when the Gigapause ended, Game Over happened, and the Retcon happened, there was already the start of toxicity and over-criticism in stuff. This has been kind of a slow but steady shift in the overall landscape of, not Homestuck, but Fandom and consuming media in general? People are also on edge right now due to quarantine. But like, again! I GET not liking the current content! There’s weird stuff. It touches on different topics. People may not want what the writers do with the characters. But honestly calling the writers EVIL for this and sending some of the shit I’m seeing around? The overblowing is intense.
