I have the raph build-a-bear which i went and bought as SOON as i saw they announced it, when i walked into the shop, the person helping me told me i was the first person who got one from that store which had me cackling bc i literally zoomed from my work to the mall where the build-a-bear was

I have two funko pop key chains of leo and raph (the leo one i gave away as a gift!)

2012:

the arc when Leo leaves the team for an episode, and Raph goes through the realization that it’s not easy being the leader

When the brothers have to go into Mikey’s mind to help rescue him

And not to be cliche but the farmhouse arc is SO *chef’s kiss* it’s not even funny I’m obsessed with it

I do really like Splinter’s entire arc in the Mutant Mayhem movie, I’ve talked about it before, but i think his speech, when he goes “i don’t get it, and i might not like it, but you like humans and they’re important to you, so I’ll help you” is absolutely fantastic, i cried my eyes out in the movie theater

well they’re certainly taking things in a direction huh there’s things i liked in all of them, and there’s certainly some build up elements that have potential, but i feel the same way about those moments as i did about tf5 and tf5 was, well,, [additional feelings that are kinda spoilery under the cut]

actually i think part of what might be bothering me is that the turts were only in like 1/4?? like leo was in 2, right, but the story was about hueso and piel and except for leo gay confirmed which was pretty good, that was,,,,,, a really fucking wild episode like i know it makes sense that they would be 2-of-1 like that but the way they did that was buck fucking wild and on hand like, a human gestalt! neat! but that was also really fucking weird

but like maybe that made it so wild and weird to draw attention away from the shadow fiend? i hope that image shows up soon, i wanna take a better look at it, it didn’t seem like mama’s assistant who if i’m remembering correctly had yellow eyes, but maybe that was just a mask?

like the april and splinter episode was Awesome, i really liked that one, i think i liked it the best out of all of them and that recruit development? chefs kiss. some people were saying in the chat either she’s casey or a red herring, but after like explicitly making her and april foils i’m 100% on board and i hope she fucks up mama’s steeze

the last one felt.... weird?? like you could’ve taken mikey out of it and it wouldn’t have changed the plot at all, which is, again, a weird direction to take a turtles show. also it felt really out of character to me???? but like,,,,,, in a weird way, because yeah, that is how they would respond to Someone who had caused what was happening, maybe it was draxum who felt ooc? like i find it hard to believe that he would just submit to two teenagers like that and be like i know. you’re right. i did appreciate that dev of him not just saving humans but actively being like “oh shit!! the humans!!” and making a friend. although it wicked seems like they’re setting him up for a backslide which is...... idk

anyway, a lot of thoughts from this set lmao,,
