i like how most of the main relationships in toh are built of misfits. like, luz eda and king are obviously three weirdos brought together, but there are also luz, gus, and willow who were all considered out of place and became friends. hunter and willow were both "half-a-witch", even raine and eda were both loners before they met each other, with raine probably being made fun of for being in the bard coven. king and edric, both who were barely taken seriously. there's also gus and matt, who were both younger than their peers, eda and lilith, where lily was just an enthusiastic nerd and lumity where one was a weirdo and the other one was a weirdo pretending to be the ideal witch. heck, even camila and manny were definitely considered as misfits and nerds.

i just love that it wasn't just the main characters who were weird, almost everyone in the cast was considered odd! and that's totally okay, they still find happiness and friendship and have awesome lives after changing the world.

i still think hunter's palisman in the epilogue should have been a wolf rather than a bluejay

like, the only interpretations i can find/think of that make flapjack's death seem thematically coherent (rather than just the writers adding gratuitous angst to their favourite little meow meow for no real thematic reason) were interpreting it as like, a new start for hunter, or symbolic of growing out of something, or symbolic of a final separation between hunter and caleb

and replacing flapjack with a very similar bird just... feels like it undercuts all of those potential meanings

ok I’ve gotten A LOT of comments in which people are confused whenever I’ve said that Hunter is probably bisexual, so here it is!!! (for the people who didn’t know) 

First of all, the most OBVIOUS example is THIS scene from “Thanks To Them” where he holds up a sweater he made, in which there’s a rainbow with the colors of the bisexual flag.

BUT if he wanted to show support for Luz coming out, then he would’ve used the rainbow patch/pride pin like Camila does. PLUS, in Willow’s scrapbook, she put the bisexual and lesbian pride pins next to a picture of Luz and Amity on a date, therefore the kids know about how pride pins look like and what they mean, and WE KNOW this is Hunter’s sweater because there’s a sewn patch of wolves, which are important to him, therefore the bi rainbow is there because he knows its meaning and it most likely matches him!!

And this isn’t THE ONLY TIME we see him with the colors of the bisexual flag!! Look at THIS from “Any Sport in a Storm.”

This show is known for using LGBTQ pride flags as inspiration for their backgrounds, so the fact that this has happened TWICE around him is most likely intentional, so good for him!!! 

ANOTHER piece of evidence I like to use for him being bisexual BESIDES THE OBVIOUS PRIDE FLAGS is that someone asked Hunter’s voice actor who he would take to Grom, and he mentioned female characters like Skara and Emira BUT ALSO male characters like Edric. (I don’t have the screenshot of the tweet sadly.) Of course, voice actors don’t always dictate what’s canon or not, but I feel like this is a nice hint, regardless of whether he was joking or not. 

I have ALSO heard that Dana did art of Hunter on National Bisexual day, but I don’t have it with me :/ 

Anyways, the boy is bi!!! Deal with it!!

this is messy,, but i had this idea based on Willow's beta design (where she wears a trench coat)... and it's basically just "Hunter lovingly spends hours learning to embroider and embroidering an entire custom trench coat for Willow"-- and despite almost never drawing complicated clothing, I IMMEDIATELY had to draw it

Why does is have to be Hunter Deamonne vs Hunter Noceda?

Why cant Hunter have both lol? Why can't Hunter have a mom, (Camilla) AND dad, (Darius)? God knows he deserves both

He goes to the human realm to stay with Camila for human holidays and for Cosmic Frontier book club meetings. He ADORES Camila's cooking. Her home is warm and bring him nothing but comfort thinking about all the months he spent there, being the happiest he had ever been. Luz said he was family, and family is ALWAYS welcome at Camila's.

He stays in the Demon Realm with Darius of course. He improves his sewing skills and is just as good as sewing as he is carving. He talks to Darius about Wild Magic for HOURS. Darius teaches Hunter ALL the self care. Darius (and Eber) was the only adult in the Demon Realm that actually encouraged Hunter to be young and to continue learning.

It took the love from BOTH of them to give Hunter the courage to tell Belos off, and to finally be himself.

(Also Camila and Darius def have each other's phone numbers, someone probably worked out how to have service across the dimensiona or something. Camila makes sure Darius is FEEDING the poor boy right. Darius makes sure Hunter is getting enough SLEEP. And they DEF fight over who gets to have Hunter on the weekends.)
