Finally decided to go and make a commission sheet, my commissions have been open for a while, but I figured it couldn't hurt! At the moment I'd like to focus on Mechs/Transformers, but I am still open to take regular commissions on a case by case basis!

Babygirl Nugget is getting her sutures out today and all her test results have come back okay! Thanks again to everyone who donated money, shared my post or commissioned me, you all so kind and it really helped me feel better during all of this. This month has been stressful but I'm glad this is hopefully all over and I can move forward with eveything!

While I'm gonna be closing my emergency commissions my regular ones are still open by the by if anyone is still interested.

Question, how do you go about picking what fish you base the merformers off of? I love love love all your designs <3

aww thank you! To answer your question, A lot of research lol, I have a couple rules to start out with; 1. No repeats, so in the 6 years I've been doing mermay in general everyone has been assigned a unique creature! 2. Try to stick to salt/brackish water, unless I'm filling a request for someone as a special occasion 3. They have to be a confirmed species etc., so no color morphs that counts as repeating if I've used the animal already After that, I delve into a pit to look up both facts on the characters and also facts on various marine creatures. Ideally I'll find something both fits thematically with the character and in appearance (example all the medics I've done have been animals that act as “cleaners” for other creatures and also look like them!), but sometimes I do just bend whatever I can find that matches their looks/colors when I can't find a good personality fit. I pick what character's I'm doing and start pairing them with their animals in January because I am kinda really picky about this. Anyway, thanks for the ask, hope this is a good answer lol!

If it isn't clear from the lack of merformer today I have kinda, Crashed. I'm still going to try to finish the last couple and will keep posting but I'm letting myself take a break and not holding myself to having them all done by the end of May, time is fake lol

So I may have to bow out of mermay this year in favor of emergency commissions because my cat Nugget has decided to develop Problems (Stones+UTI) and might need surgery. I still haven't decided yet what I really want to do, but she's currently taking up most of my free time and funds, so I might not have much of a choice.

I have literally zero idea Why but shockwave holds a special place in my heart, to be clear I do mean our normal purple shockwave, gunman, yellow eyed cyclops. He's got some spice, some flavor I like the idea of playing with, even tho I'm not sure What I want done.
