Animation can ALWAYS be more interesting by looking LESS realistic.
#animation#not bob’s burgers#this obsession with making animation look as realistic as possible rather than exploring what cant be done irl is actually so boring#i dont care if you can see the individual threads in a shirt#i acknowledge that ot takes a ton or time and talent and dedication to do that and i think thats great#but i just think the medium can be used for more than we use it for#into the Spiderverse is a great example of how it doesnt have to look super real to make it interesting and pleasing to the eye#that is such a beautiful movie too#and there are soany other examples#i dont know anything about animation btw#im just ranting#star talks
