Note
What are the wounds on Gideon's body from? She has a neck wound and the (infamous) chussy, which Pal says is consistent with her reported injuries. I don't remember these 馃槄 Help?
when Gideon died, she had 3 confimed injuries:
the fencepost speedhole (present on Kiriona; now sporting teeth)
her shattered knee (status on Kiriona unknown, we never see her without pants)
her fucked up shoulder (status on Kiriona unknown, we never see her without a shirt)
when we see her in NtN, she has 3 confirmed injuries, with only 1 overlap from what we saw in GtN:
"huge wound in the throat [that] made the neck yawn open" (cause unconfirmed)
the infamous tooth chussy (see above....)
"another wound lower down" (location/cause unknown - could be the knee injury, could be something else. my assumption was stomach/trunk area because Palamades mentions it when he's unbuttoning her shirt)
my thoughts on the wounds in NtN (considering Camilla needs to have witnessed all of them, in order to inform Palamades of their existance, therefore none of them could have happened after BOE lost her body) are:
(my favorite) Harrow chewed chunks out of her to complete the Eightfold Word. Neck and tummy. Considering Ianthe "Actual Cannibal" Tridentarius said that "just a drop of blood" would do, this might be unlikely, but I think it is the most emotionally devastating and therefore the sexiest of all options. Harrow, consumed by grief, in a panic and a hurry. chomp. parallels also to John getting on his knees and just shoveling dirt into his mouth in John 1:20.
the fence caught her in multiple parts, i.e. she was impaled by 3 spikes at once. this is a very logical explanation but seems rather underwhelming, and therefore I disbelieve it on principal. Also, her neck wound is not a puncture, and she would have had to fall like, sideways onto the fence which just seems kind of awkward
She had more injuries from the final battle in GtN than we were informed of. I can belive this for an ambiguous"lower down" wound, but not for the gaping neck one.
