some people are reddit are already claiming that Buffa's actions were antiheroic, but I disagree because anti heroes do not involve civilians even when there is a world reset that would happen.
I fucking know right????
Like he was an antihero as long as he was fighting kamen riders. You could still probably see my tweets and stuff defending Michi...
But then the jyamato festival arc happened... Like people do realise that if Ace hadn't pulled that upgrade out of boost, everyone there would have died too??? Including little kids, old people? People just trying to celebrate their lives?
And then in heaven and hell game he did kill them all.
He killed Keiwa, stood by as the jyamato's killed innocent people, then killed Ace and Niram.
But you want me to believe he has some hidden gentle agenda behind it?
You want to say he's doing it to protect? And not because of his moral superiority where he thinks he's doing people a favour by taking the sins to protect them by killing innocent bystanders???
He's not killing riders now? After killing people who had nothing to do with DGP or jgp or any of the riders?
Looking down on people willing to risk their lives for a goal, i get that people shouldn't be greedy. But what's wrong with people wanting a better life for themselves?
The man we were introduced at the start who wanted to save his son's life and needed money but ended up dying. Was he wrong to do so? Was he wrong to try to want happiness for his family?
Ace who had fought in this multiple times? Is he wrong? Keiwa who just wants the world to be a better place and is willing to fight for it is wrong? Neon who lived a miserable life just wants someone who would actually love her and now wishes that she would cease to exist for others is wrong?
No none of them are wrong.
If they are wrong then all preceding Kamen Riders who wanted the world to be a better place are all wrong.
They like to act like he has big morals there but it's still his personal hatred running him and it's time the show actually accepts that.
Is there a possibility of him turning it around? Of course but does that undo everything else done so far?
I am sorry but this goes past the anti hero for me.

Junior Worlds Preview - Junior Men
Considering I’ve gained some figure skating followers (either followers from before getting into figure skating, or new followers), I figured I’d do some highlights for Juniors, especially less well known Juniors, for people to keep an eye out for with Junior Worlds fast approaching.  I know for some people Junior Worlds is one of the only times they watch Juniors (this is a pity because the YouTube streams of the JGP circuit have some of the nicest, most enjoyable commentary ever, and there’s a lot of kids out there skating their hearts out).
Don’t be too surprised if there’s a lot more falling over among the Junior Men than you’re used to with Seniors.  They range from 13-19 and are often midway through growth spurts.  There’s also a wide variety of countries represented, and you often get a chance to see countries just starting to develop their skating programs, which is a lot of fun.  As a viewer it helps a lot to not put too many expectations on the Junior kids and just watch where they are right now, keeping in mind that they are still growing and developing and finding their feet and style on the ice.
So my first one of these is going to be for the Junior Men.  There will be videos and descriptions below the cut.
Daniel Samohin (ISR)
youtube
SP Cup of China 2016
I was a little bit surprised to see Daniel here for Junior Worlds this year considering he’s the reigning Junior World Champion and competed in Seniors this year.  He’s young enough to compete Juniors still though, and he’s had a bit of an up and down season so far (and his countryman Alexei Bychenko has been having an excellent season).
Daniel is incredibly expressive, and he’s a lot of fun to watch.  He’s got the big jumps when he’s on, but he doesn’t always quite hit them.  It doesn’t matter too much though because he’s so much fun on the ice.  He’s got a definite chance to defend his title, and I wouldn’t be too bothered if he did because I like him a lot as a skater, but I’m always a little bit iffy when people compete down to Junior Worlds from Seniors (especially when they already medalled there).
Cha Junhwan (KOR)
youtube
JGP Yokahama 2016 SP
Junhwan is amazing for only being 15.  I’m really looking forward to seeing him grow up and how that effects his skating and skill.  Hes been really getting those big jumps down since he started working with Orser, and it seems like it’s been a good move for him overall.  I think he has a real chance to medal here, and I would be happy to see him on the podium.  He’s a lot of fun to watch.
Vincent Zhou (USA)
youtube
US Nationals 2016 SP
Vincent is coming off coming in second at US Nationals behind Nathan Chen.  He’s going to Junior Worlds instead of Senior Worlds at least in part because he has next to no Senior experience internationally.  He’s trying to join in the quad arms race, though so far, he’s really only got a solid 4S.  He’s been attempting a 4Lz, and I’d love to see him start landing it well because his 3Lz is beautiful.  Jumps aside though, Vincent has lovely spins, especially his camel spins which often have interesting variations, and most importantly to me for liking him, beautiful step and choreo sequences (his spread eagles are impressive).  He’s a lot of fun to watch, especially when he nails his jumps, but even when he doesn’t.
Nicolas Nadeau (CAN)
youtube
Canadian Nationals 2017 FS
Just like Daniel, Nicolas is an amazing performer.  He’s had a bit of a rough season with an injury over the summer, but based on Canadian nationals, he’s back and gunning for the top.  He’s got a 4Lo now.  He’s the reigning Junior Silver Medalist, but considering the missing the beginning of the season, I’m less weird over him being back this year.  He’s barely young enough to compete in Juniors, so this will be his last Junior Worlds no matter how it goes, but I am hoping it goes well for him.  He’s so much fun to watch, and I’m glad he’s back.
Andrew Torgashev (USA)
youtube
JGP Dresden 2016 SP
Andrew is such a wonderfully dramatic and artistic performer.  He’s got incredible musicality, and I just really enjoy how much he gets into his music.  His jumps aren’t necessarily his strong suit, but he gets them done well, and he’s staying competitive, but his spins are incredible.  I love the way he uses a lot of levels in his step and choreo sequences.  Watch out for him being beautifully dramatic.
Lee Sihyeong (KOR)
JGP Saransk 2016 FS (ran out of embeded videos)
Watch out for the cutest celebrations when he finishes if he does well.  He’s on the cusp of getting really really good scores if he can get some of his hardest jumps down, but I have a pretty good feeling he’ll be getting there (he doesn’t have scary landings the way a lot of the Team Korea boys do).  He’s got nice lines and footwork, especially considering a growth spurt that has left him with a distressing tendency to occasionally fall over on sit spins (hopefully not at Junior Worlds).  I don’t think that he’s going to be looking at anything close to the podium unless he has had a tech breakthrough, but I’m really happy to see him get a chance to skate and show that there’s more depth to the Team Korea field than just Junhwan.
There are a lot of other amazing skaters to look out for at this Junior Worlds.  These are just some personal favorites.  I hope that all the kids have a great set of skates and come out of it feeling like they did the best they could.

Canadian Nationals Preview - Ladies
Next preview for Canadian Nationals! This time, the Ladies! The field is a bit depleted, but there is still plenty of talent to be had! They used to only have one great skater at a time – now they have three!  It is also worth noting that Veronik Mallet is not competing here. I am sorting things a bit differently this time – Gold Medal Favorite, Silver Medal Favorite, Bronze Medal Favorite and Other Skater to Watch.
Let’s go! It’s a battle between the past thee ladies champions
Gold Medal Favorite
Let’s face it, there’s one Canadian lady who has pulled away from the rest of the field. Kaetlyn Osmond will win her third National Title here; I have no doubt about that. Her inconsistencies of the past seem to be gone *knock on wood*, and she is becoming the starring lady we all knew she could be. She not only is the only Canadian Lady with a top ten score in the world this year, she actually currently has the fourth highest score – behind Medvedeva, Miyahara, and Pogorilaya.
Silver Medal Favorite
There is another skater who is starting to come into her own, as well – Gabrielle Daleman, former Canadian National Champ. After an eighth place finish at Worlds, she has skated better this year than she ever has before. She is the solid favorite the silver medal right now and the second spot on the World Team for the Canadian ladies.
Bronze Medal Favorite
The favorite for the bronze medal is reigning champion, Alaine Chartrand. It’s going to be difficult for her to defend her title, but if she skates the way she did at Nationals last year, she could. She’s the third-ranked skater here, though as the other two have pulled away from her. She’s going back to her old short program from last year, so maybe that will be what needs to put herself back on the World team!
Other Skater to Watch
There’s only one - and she’s no threat to the podium in any way. Sarah Tamura has been the top Canadia ladies skater on the JGP circuit for the past couple of years, and she’s a solid for fourth place - not bad for her senior debut! She’s also the reigning Canadian Junior Ladies Champion.
Predictions
GOLD – Kaetlyn Osmond SILVER – Gabrielle Daleman BRONZE – Alaine Chartrand 4th – Sarah Tamura 5th – Kim Deguise Leveillee 6th – Larkyn Austman 7th – Kim Decelles 8th – Michelle Long 9th – Alicia Pineault 10th – Megan Yim
That’s it! Respond, send me a message - I’d love to know what you think.
