couldn't clement be a poc? he didn't have a relevant role in this season other than him being lola's ~friend~ to show maya's jealously.

why couldn't he be, to say, black, or any other poc? the show is already full of white people, and the poc that are present aren't given a role (sekou not being there, redouane not getting screen attention, bilal having his season taken over, this season pov switch + the entire season being about mayla rather than maya, and not even an endgame 💀💀)

and this only talking about new gen like.... did we forget about imane's season? the whole yousana love triangle being even more extreme with manon/sofiane actually dating? daphne being an extreme version of vilde? and i don't want to go in deep because truly, there's so much to unpack.

point is that they could have included poc. clement, sasha and hugo could and should have been poc, especially since s10 is about anais and something tells me sasha and hugo will have a relevant role in it.

also with the whole kiss thing i think if they will do a s11 the main will be either sascha or clement and their love story will be a focus.

i thought s10 would have been about diverse characters like max or redouane but once again, we will have a skinny white cishet abled girl dating another skinny white cishet abled boy, the only difference between the two couples being their hair color.

also you said sascha is most likely there to replace louise, which makes me think? where the hell is she.

100% agree with everything you’ve said. i’ve seen people on twitter say they’ve cast two women of color for s10 roles (as well as a literal famous white influencer: kato vibes and as ardi pointed out, ego/money over audience), but considering the s9 main credits seem to be the credits for both 9/10 (like, why else was hugo/sascha/clement in the s9 main credits, but suzanne/june were in the minor ones despite appearing more?), they’ll probably just be background roles to appear ~diverse with whiteness centered regardless since anais is the main (despite spending 3 seasons hinting at something with redouane and his mother, his films, his boxing.......)

sekou having to move away bc quentin was in canada when covid hit really only makes sense for when s7/8 were filmed. it would’ve been so easy to slot sekou back in if they’d cared to.
