Scientifically speaking, how does your hair defy gravity?
Kukuku... this might be a long one. I'll make a cut. But they don't really defy gravity.

Well, how do plants do it?
Tumblr media
They extend their roots in the soil. All that dirt holding it down will make it ten billion times more resilient!
Hair also gets structural support. It starts growing in the dermis, the second layer of skin.

I hear some of you asking, "But doesn't long hair still easily fall down? How does that work? And how are you able to make all those spikes!?"
Shush. I'm not done yet. If the hair is short and thick, it can still stand, but a longer strand will fall over because the base isn't wide enough to support it. It'll be easier to move just a small part, shifting the center of gravity lower and letting it topple more easily. Think stacking books into a single tower!
But that's for only one strand. For now, we'll take some flaxseeds, and...

Kukuku... hair gel helps your hair stick together. More cohesion makes it more solid! But keep it lightweight, or it'll be dragged down anyway.

Eh... does that make sense? Just look it up elsewhere or go ask your teacher.
