i am SOOO unbelievably thrilled by your anthro au omg. do you have fashion ideas for the characters? like their favorite outfits, fabrics, etc? imo one of the best parts of anthro characters is deciding how they'd express themselves through their clothing :]
I HAVE A FEW ALREADY!!!! i dont have many specifics because theres so many characters ahd i havent drawn them all yet LOL but i'll share the ones i do have at least SOMETHING for
im also trying to keep these reasonable for the time period and location, as in my au the clan cats are mostly rural and in small towns set (mostly) before the 2000s so most may dress more modest and conservative (especially if theyre older and very religious)
squirrelflight - the best i can describe her sense of fashion is that it ranged from tomboy as a younger girl and is currently closer to a working class butch. im not sure if masc would be a more appropriate term since i dont hc her as a lesbian (shes bi) but she dresses "like a man" and owns a lot of jeans, slacks, and button-up shirts of all kinds of fabrics and patterns. she also enjoys bright colors as well, but as she got older her fashuon sense got a little more sensible and less "loud" like it was in the 60s and 70s. she also has glasses like her daddy once shes like 35 or so. she and firestar dressed very similarly, and a lot of her shirts and neckties are things she stole from his closet
feathertail - very feminine. hippie adjacent, lots of loose and flowing garments and jingly pieces. breatheable clothes and open toed shoes. her favorite swimsuit had some little frilly bits on it i think. often combines neutral earthy tones with blues and whites
crowfeather - lots of handmedowns from his father. clothes you can do farmwork in like jeans, overalls, hardy flannel/denim shirts and boots. never grew out of this and still dresses this way and he likes it
jayfeather - he looks like a modernized (as far as the 80s goes) version of his father - same hairstyle snd way of dress. he isnt too formal but does have some more preppiness to his clothing style (polo shirts and sweaters). he avoids full button downs since buttoning them himself jjust gets frustrating since he cant match them up every time. new wave band shirts. he also wears orange tinted glasses to protect his eyes (in this au i wrote that hes able to perceive shadows and light pretty okay, but not much else beyond that) And Kinda As A Fashion Statement cuz it goes well with his facial structure and hairstyle i think
lionblaze - hes like if the stereotypical jock and stereotypical 80s rock+metal enthusiast had a baby. muscle tees and bandanas, ripped jeans, those absurdly short shorts, crop tops, etc. he's a drummer i think if that matters LOL
ivypool - punk, also sorta like joan jett to an extent. very homemade, tho sometimes she gets lazy and doesnt really commit to the outfits all the way (but definitely has the mindset, dint get me wrong). one of those girls with a chest small enough to go braless 99% of the time; wears a lot of tank tops and sleeveless shirts LOL
bone/brick/scourge - just google "the outsiders movie" or "greaser" and you'll get the idea. tho i imagine these three in particular also have some kind of bare minimum formalwear scraped together from their escapades. theyre kinda like the jetts/sharks from west side story if that helps at all
daisy - she combines flowing, pretty dresses with a sunhat and work boots. she also teaches horseback riding and owns a few (its a business she runs w smokey and floss. i think its be funny if they were polyam ITS MY AU I CAN CHANGE WHAT I WANT) and she has horseback-appropriate clothing as well
poppyfrost - THEE preppy girl of the 80s. big hair, perm and all. dresses with pastel colors. her sisters cinderheart and honeyfern are pretty similar, tho i imagine honeyfern is a little more sporty and cinderheart takes inspiration from madonna once shes trying to court lionblaze
hazeltail - long haired country girl butch. enough said
spottedleaf snd cinderpelt are nuns lol

Some super stray thoughts I had while reading STCO so far:
Knuckles would NOT prioritize his past over Tikal’s suffering are you crazy in the head!!!!
Zak Simond-Hurn’s art is really charming, if it wasn't for the digital onomatopoeias, I wouldn’t mind having this style by a base for an official sonic comic! The design for the red echidna villain however… HM. Not pleasing to the eye.
I like that Ebony are having a bigger role on the fist few issues! But also Ebony’s constantly referring to Super as his friend and doing things to bring him back. Like I get it but also is this going to be her only trait now? Girl…
And porker is going on adventures again. Actually I don’t think they ever explained why Porker went back to being more adventurous in the og comic, participating in Chaos defeat and all. Not against it, and I like to see he still has a bit of bite and wasn't reduced to only a coward, tho it would’ve been cool to see at least a comment on how hes back on “adventuring”.
It’s cool to see Amy dealing with grief over Jhonny (I’ve given up trying to write his name correctly, too weird for me), but IDK. Amy probably was the best grounded character in that situation, so it feels weird to see her distressed over it? I don’t know how to explain it but in my eyes, Amy’s grief for Jhonny would definitively be more melancholic than scary/guilty. I’m glad they are trying to flesh out Amy more, but it doesn’t feel very cohesive with the comic to me. And Jhonny-zombie the killer… a bit tacky but in a funny way.
WHO…. Designed Vichama. I just want to talk. Tell me why you made him look that way. What is that. What went through your head. Dude. I get that Ebony has considerably more anthro body features than the other animal characters, but I feel like Vichama crosses the line into the “gross valley”. If he were drawn closer to how Zachary is I probably wouldn’t care, he probs would’ve looked like an Archie character. But the bulging muscles are kinda upsetting to look at. Cover up man.
So Shadow was created by some enemies of the echidnas. Noted.
Big and the Drakon prosecutor are actually really cute. I like them. Knuckles trying to break Ebony’s spell on Tikal is making me fume. HE WOULDN'T TRY TO DO THAT!!!!! He maybe would be a little desperate trying to trigger some memories but he wouldn't knowingly hurt someone to get information!!!! There is a pannel tho in this part of the comic that makes Knux ask “Where is Porker” and then “Where is the emeralds”. THAT is Knuckles to me, checking in on people before anything else.
Knuckles not being able to carry Big is bullshit. KNUCKLES PUNCHES ROCKS IN HALF LMAO. It’s fine I assume they need to be separated for a reason.
ROUGE STICK LEGS. Somebody please give my girl a double cheeseburger with extra fries and a big gulp of soda.
Actually I love that Rouge is a cunt here. Girlboss!!!! Stole this dudes emeralds AND left them to die, queen shit. Didn’t work but she did have the intent to kill them.
Big wouldn’t eat his friends….. He’d never eat Froggy, and DP (Drakon Prosecutor) even tho looks like a fish, Big considers a friend. BIG WOULDNT THINK ABOUT EATING HIS FRIENDS!!! HE IS A KIND BIG GUY!!!!!!!!!!!! ← most egregious mistake until now. Fucking funny tho can you imagine dying by vore They kept Mighty funny, that’s good.
MMMMN. I like that Sonic is consistently arachnophobic. Really nice continuity. How he first met Shadow tho… It felt underwhelming? Like yeah we know they were going to meet some time but IDK. The framing/pacing is weird to me. Either have them meet quickly at the start of the issue and Sonic is like “IDK WHO that guy is but I don’t like him!!!” or have them meet at the end of the issue, but only show Shadow in shadow (lol) to hook to the next issue. Shadow’s bland ass “I am Shadow” has the same energy as two kindergartners introducing themselves first day of school.
Shadow’s personality is interesting tho. I like him being a bit cocky but not too much, it’s a good take on him, plus he bounces off Sonic pretty well. I do wonder what the hell they’re going to do with him tho.
Awn… acknowledgment of some of the chaotix families… Blockhead Bill my dude
Tikal being given more of a spotlight is neat. It doesn’t give her much, but it’s refreshing to see her thoughts and intentions. However, I can’t help but think that she was mainly inserted to aid Knuckles and be a well of angst. Like IDK, Knuckles has moments mourning his past, or wondering if he will ever understand his ancestors, and Tikal well… She sees things rather than feel? If that makes sense? Like in this comic she is able to see a bit of the past and think “wow this is horrible! Must be a nightmare!” but she doesn’t feel despair? Or anything much? The only moment so far she felt despair was to make Knux Angst, like “ooooh shes suffering so we need to wipe her memories, that means Knuckles wont have his backstories :(“. Smells fishy.
Oh wow, Shadow has an actually interesting backstory here. It gives a reason to follow Robotnik, hate Sonic, not give a shit, aaaand its ambiguous enough you can probably pull off whatever. Fucking congrats STCO writers.
Fave image. What the fuck are they even doing here. Freaks.
Tumblr media
Hm. No thoughts on Shadows maybe death. Thematically it’s interesting and all, but we don’t get enough time with him to give a shit. Unless I’m reading it wrong it seems like Shadow is sacrificing himself to save Robotnik, but IDK.
Grimer develops a situatioship depression.
2007 ANTI-ASIAN RACISM. BAD.
Bro what’s with this Knuckles characterization. He would NOT be mean to Tikal. If anything he’d probably be a bit overbearing, trying to give attention to her even if she didn’t want it. I get trying to tie him living his whole life alone being overwhelmed and feeling frustrated that Tikal can’t give him answers, but he wouldn't treat her like crap what is this. I like Porker’s and Knux bro moment, but that doesn’t make up for treating Tikal badly for no reason. Where’s her catharsis? She’s probably just as confused and desperate as Knuckles but she doesn't get any of these moments. Sigh. This idea could’ve definitely worked if Tikal was pushier or more imposing, but like she doesn’t do much, so Knuckles just snaps and it feels off. Knuckles’s stories are probably the issues with the biggest potential, but the writers for sure squander him the most, whomp whomp.
“One of Sonic’s fears is seeing Amy settle down with someone else” no it isn’t shut the fuck up. And the fact they put this on the same level of fear as Jhonny death is deranged.
The tonal whiplash between character comics is p funny honestly. You’ll have one really serious comic followed by a comedic one, lil bit of a mood killer. I guess STC also did this, but to me it at least wasn't jarring like this. Like how am I supposed to process Big getting shot, after Knux and Tikal experiencing the worst nightmare of their lives, living the trauma of seeing million of dead echidnas, after Vector put angel island as a security fund for his ship LMAO.
SONIC CHARACTERS HELPINH OUT THE POLICE SFAJHBJHBWRKJBJB??????!!!!!!!!????????????????????!!!!!!!!!????????11111111!!!!!!!111!!!!111!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate this actually.
These Shorty and Tekno comics…… I don’t know what it is about them but god. I just don’t like them! Firstly that now it seems they are a completely separated duo from the rest of the team. Like They don’t interact with Sonic or Amy or whatever. Secondly.. Shortfuse is TOO nice. It doesn’t feel like him where is his tantrums??? And this isn’t a diss on the artstyle itself, cause I think it looks pretty nice and cute, but I don’t think it’s really fitting for the characters? Tekno and Shorty look like they’re in a shoujo manga.
I really like how Sonic is now a loser LOL. He got canceled to hell and back.
Finally Rouge makes and appearance. Kinda only realized how little she showed up during the SA2 adaptation.
Grimer destroying Sonic’s reputation is actually kinda nice. I like that they acknowledge his Robotnik situationship depression, tho I think it’s a bit over the top have him be behind EVERYTHING. Still like it tho. Go gross boy go! (Also the art in this issue is REALLY solid, wow, Zak Simond-Hurn really is my favorite artist from the STCO group).
At some point I think I need to stop complaining about Knux’s characterization. But I Do Not Like How They Write My Boy. Doc Zach is still serving cunt so that’s great. Go grandpa go!
It’s kinda awesome to see how the issues expanded through STCO’s run, but I think having so many stories at the same time kinda makes stuff bloated. Like I’m sure I’ll forget some parts of this, even if they are short bits. Like do we really need to follow 2 sonic stories and 2 amy stories at the same time? I think it would’ve been better to pace this with a limit of 3-4 stories MAX per issue. And then once a character story is done, release the next story with the same character. Sonic and Knuckles are kinda always going to be there, having the biggest pull on the comic’s lore and story, so the other ones could cycle out between amy, tekno, shorty, tails, sonic’s world, chaotix, and so on. I haven’t read some of the other non-sonic stories like decap n attack, but those could be thrown in the cycle too!
Tumblr media
Actually I love that DP is just hanging out in Big’s restaurant. It’s goofy I really love it.
I wonder how old Sonic’s gang is supposed to be here. Like in theory some years have passed in the comic, but how many. It’s not important at all but Amy is seen drinking wine with Chrysalis and it’s like?? Is she a kid?? Is she an adult?? Is she underage drinking? Again it’s not a big deal, and I don’t even think these characters need a specific age but IDK this was odd to me.
Oof the multiple stories at the same type problem came instantly. I like how Amy acknowledges the losses of the group, Sonic is “evil”, Jhonny is dead, Tekno is missing and stuff, Porker has PTSD and cant fight… But like. That feels so weird when you have a story right next to it with Amy and Tekno together!!! This is why the pacing and bloating feels whack, the comic has continuity with SOME of the stories but not all so its confusing. I know the OG comic had moments like these but because it had less stories per issue, it was way less noticeable, and usually were one-off stories I think.
And on the topic of Porker, I did mention before how he just kinda.. went back to being more adventurous? But know the comic insists that he can’t do it? Man this is kinda messy. I don’t mind Porker starting to become more adventurous again and then maybe regressing a bit in recovery, being too much for him, but it doesn’t feel like that is what it’s being intended here. It feels like someone read STC and maybe skimmed on STCO and then wrote this, so it feels out of place? Like you have porker in the first issue of STCO going on a mission no problems at all, but then on another issue he goes on a mission to blow up an eggman database or smth and hes freaking the fuck out being nervous all the time. Like which is it!!!!! I don’t mind him progressing and regressing on his trauma but at least acknowledge or be consistent with it! Is it because the underwater mission didn’t involve Robotnik? Is that it? Who knows.
I get that Knux and the crew planned to bait Zachary and shit, but like, then why did they act like that in the previous issue? Like the plan was to break the shield so why did Porker said to Knux be careful about it? Girl. This information is only given to bait and switch the audience and it doesn’t work. Porker and Knux have no reason to pretend to not have a plan when they are alone what.
Tails working with cops I’m going to kill myself.
Oh so like. The special zone is dead for real. Like for real FR. Jesus. Could’ve let the characters grieve a bit huh.
Really liked the #250 issue (Tho its funny that I complained about the number of stories per issue, and then #250 has ONE story LOL)! It’s awesome to see the different arts from the varied artists on the STCO team. And even with my complains and whining, it’s an impressive project full of love, good to see stuff like this!
TURBO TURBO TURBO MY BOY TURBO!!!!
The art on this issue is great but some of the flow of the dialogue is off, as in, sometimes I don’t know which speech bubble I’m supposed to read next, cause usually you go left to right, but it seems this story follows top to bottom for speech bubbles and left to right to panel. Not awful but it did throw me off, and it does fuck up the pacing.
um. hi shadow? ok.
(Only read until issue #250)

I saw you reblog the post "send an OC and you tell me which of your OCs would fall in love with them" and had a moment of oh no, how many non-furry/dragon characters do I have. So I'm throwing you a variety!! We're gonna have to put aside the fact that two out of the three here are furry characters. I'm genuinely severely lacking in human people, despite how much I talk about them. (Is this a game show where only the winner out of all of them gets a date, or are they all getting paired off? Up to you!)
CONTESTANT NUMBER ONE
I gotta throw you a character I haven't mentioned before much. Silver Bullet Babe, or just Silver for short, spends a large majority of his time studying magic. Coming from a well off family who encouraged his focus on his studies and seclusion from others, his social skills are lacking at best. On the plus side, though, being with him comes with the added bonus of a very extensive library filled with otherwise forbidden knowledge. He's also very pink with lovely hair.
Tumblr media
(I'll never get over how beautiful this commission is, and I'm devastated that I've lost access to the artist since)
CONTESTANT NUMBER TWO
You already know this one. His info post isn't up yet, so his exact details might be blurry, but let me introduce you to the danger to aviation laws himself, Hazard! I don't. I don't have his picture on my laptop, so you're gonna just have to imagine a tall Canadian with the most mid fohawk ever who talks with an accent that is an affront to the concept of language itself. He's a great guy, I promise. Asides from how much danger he puts himself in for his own entertainment, he's a great guy.
CONTESTANT NUMBER THREE
*Shuffles through my characters* fuck okay who else is in here. hm. I feel I've gotta give you another one I haven't talked about before. I'm digging up Doe for this one.
Do you need a girl in your life that doesn't take shit from nobody anymore? Would it be even better if it were impossible to tell if she even liked you or not? Then let me present to you, Doe! I know for a fact she has an anthro design around somewhere, but evidently not here. I don't even have her regular design on this laptop, so we gotta just imagine an orange skywing woman together. What does she have to offer? She's fearless with the strength to back that up. She's punched both Sandwing and Skywing soldiers on two separate occasions. Her boss is, unfortunately for her, also her best friend, so they're a two for one deal, so you'll also be gaining a really weird uncle as well.
Oooooh, introductions to new OCs!! I love this!!
Let's see here...
For Silver, I could see him getting together with Kestrel. They're also super inquisitive and work with magic frequently, so I could definitely see them bonding over that initially. And like... Kestrel's social skills aren't fantastic either, being a changeling who's been told effectively their whole life that the only thing they're good at is causing havoc and distress, so I think those early interactions might be a little awkward. But after that, y'know, it all would work out great!
I think Quinn would probably fall for Hazard in like.... a weird way. Like the "buddy you're just really fucking Odd. I kinda want to punch you in the face but I also kinda want to kiss you and we'll figure out the logistics of that later" kind of way. She's absolutely a daredevil too and would initially be drawn to that thrillseeking side of him, always trying to one-up him until it becomes a weird sort of game, and then that game becomes a weird sort of flirting... they'd be the weirdest, most hazardous (pun not intended) power couple on the planet, but that's my answer.
Doe definitely strikes me as Eris' type - someone who can fire right back to whatever little battles they want to throw at her, who isn't going to flinch, who's good and strong and driven to keep pace. You've heard of people getting along like a house on fire? These two would get along like nuclear fission. This might be The Most Dangerous relationship I have ever come up with, maybe not to the two of them but definitely to everyone else in the immediate vicinity.

stock dancing but it's all the fandoms i've ever been in
despite tumblr's accounts being called blogs, this is probably going to be the only "blog post" that I'll ever post. at least in the near future.
it's going to be a long one. disclaimer, it will contain some talk of things like fandom discourse, as well of mentions of Dead Dove topics, so scroll away if you need.
it will also be pretty personal, so I'm not adding all the tags for the fandoms and characters. this is mostly to those who know me.
I'll start at the beginning, in the best chronological order that I can remember. Not by order of appearance in the video, because I kept forgetting what came first when drawing the frames.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My Little Pony (Rarity) and Warrior Cats (Firestar)
These were my very first "fandoms." Before I even went to school, I discovered MLP on the television. I then proceeded to draw those stupid little ponies on the desk and some plastic containers. Thankfully it was with pencil, and not on any important containers and whatnot. Very glad I'm not a brony now, and very glad there was a human version so I didn't have to make a pony awkwardly dance.
Warrior cats was a series I read for a long time. I don't remember when I dropped it, but I just ended up losing interest. It has been stretched out by a lot by now, I believe. Warrior cats was also the first fandom that I "participated" in, by using Amino. Somehow, miraculously, I got out unscathed. By that, I mean no "safe adults" or suspicious people approached me. Not that I would've fallen for it after listening to internet safety week. Firestar is at the end of the animation because, well, it's difficult to make a non-anthro cat dance the same way as people do.
It's funny, because these two are most associated with people becoming furries later on in life, and somehow I am the only one who doesn't take much of an interest in furries within my friend group.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
LittleBigPlanet (Sackboy) and Vocaloid (Miku)
LBP wasn't something that I was really "in a fandom" for, but I definitely really enjoyed playing it with my best friend and even made my own username based on it. I remember playing LBP, LBP2, and LBP3, and the disaster that was LBP3 because after finishing the story, none of it would load properly. Tons of surfaces and props would just be missing. Still, it's a nice game to look back on.
I will be honest, this is probably the first Miku I've drawn. Vocaloid has just been a thing in my life since discovering it back... I don't remember when, but the first music that went in playlists of music I liked to listen to was generally made with vocaloid or other voice synthesizers. Miku has always been there, somehow.
*not to be mistaken with AI voice generators, as people actually agree to provide their voice for the voice synthesizers
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Marvel (Winter Soldier), Pokemon (Misty), Yandere Simulator (stand in- Vera)
I never drew anything for Marvel, except for the above frame. My family watched it when I was younger, everyone watched it before it started falling off after the infinity stones thing got resolved. The only reason I put it here was because I definitely read fanfiction for it, and definitely thought there was something fruity about america and his best friend. I mean, you find yourself in the future and everyone you've ever known is dead except wait, your best friend isn't, but he's brainwashed and now you have to kill him, so you betray the government and all your new friends instead to try and reach him. Shame that kind of story was stuck in the mcu.
Pokemon was an interesting phase. I drew Pokemon in ms paint, but never any of the humans. I had (still have some) Pokemon plushes and watched the first Pokemon anime on Netflix when it was still on there. I also watched the one with Serena. This was also the fandom that I first discovered porn. And tentacles. So if you ask me why, it's because of Pokemon. It's rather funny, because once again, I seem to be the only one in the friend group who doesn't take an interest in Pokemon anymore.
Yandere Simulator was discovered in elementary school. Because it's been shown that the dev was found to be interacting inappropriately with minors, I have not drawn the protagonist of the game and instead used an OC of mine as a stand in. All you need to know about Vera is that he is not a good person. I used to draw for this fandom back in my Amino days, just a bit, but ended up dropping it because of more and more people pointing out his incompetency. Plus, the complaint that to do anything in game you would have to watch the videos on YouTube, thus making a blind playthrough impossible. As well as his "sex license" comment, which was more than enough to turn me away from that game.
That aside, YanSim was my first exposure to the "yandere" trope- the obsessive, possessive type characters. In the game, it was done in a very bland way, but I like the general idea of the trope. Its influence still drives me towards certain preferences of mine in other fandoms, but I'd rather attribute that to Araki, who apparently popularized the trope with Yukako. I guess this is probably where my interest in "bad things happening in fiction" started.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Don't Hug Me I'm Scared (Sketchbook), Don't Starve (Willow), Cookie Run (Roguefort Cookie)
Initially, DHMIS was going to be my second or third fandom on the list, but I realized that I got into it when I was old enough to have an email address, and not before. Hence, now it's down here. I ended up using that popular design of the human sketchbook to be recognizable. It was an interesting fandom, and also another from my Amino days. I don't know who came up with the idea of the sketchbook and the clock having a love-hate relationship, but looking back on it, they might've been cooking. I remember joining a discord server for it, having my phone get taken away, and then coming back and the server was about the grinch. I also remember that this was the first time I actually interacted with the community and talking to the others within the fandom, since the Amino community was pretty small. I look back at it and cringe, because there are so many things I did for attention. Instead of linking back to a person, I would put emojis around the link with sunglasses and pointing hands saying "This idea came from 😎 👉 this person." All that aside, this is probably where my interest in horror started.
The only reason I remembered that I was technically in the Don't Starve fandom was because I went looking in my folder of drawings and found some there. Then I remembered that yes, I had also read fanfiction for it. Mostly, though, it was a videogame that I played with my family. I ended up using the charcoal pencil brush here for Willow, instead of the pen, to mimic the artstyle just a bit.
Cookie Run is a fandom that I was in, and only get back in briefly whenever Roguefort is in an event. I also first discovered it due to an artist on tumblr who I followed for DHMIS. No idea where they are now because I can't remember the correct spelling of the username. Other than that, I just play the game, which I have been playing since before high school. Now I am out of high school. It was also the fandom that I believe was probably responsible for a good amount of my early art improvement, due to some art challenge where you drew every cookie. Overall, fond memories, but I'd rather not return to the fandom. Too much drama, too many people making big fusses over dumb shit. The Valentine's Day video being an especially dumb one, especially when you consider that maybe, putting in offensive stereotypes contributes to bad perceptions of real life people vs some ship between biscuits. I even remember asking, when I was younger, "Should I ship Pink Choco cookie with White Choco cookie or Hero cookie? I can't decide." Poor little me didn't know about multishipping, and the answer I got was that "Some people headcanon the Choco cookies as siblings, so it's safer to ship her with Hero." Well, now that I'm older, I have decided that I don't have the energy to act like fictional ships anywhere near the same level as real relationships and problems, and would probably ship both were I still interested in the fandom.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Team Fortress 2 (Sniper), Doki Doki Literature Club (Monika), Jojo's Bizzare Adventure (Kakyoin)
Yes, I was in the TF2 fandom. I barely played the game but I usually played as Medic when I did. I also realize that as I type this out, this might have been the original old men thing. Or at least, some of the oldest. I drew them a lot, and I wrote a fic that I orphaned some years later out of shame. It had a werewolf in it for some reason, and was multiple chapters. Although each chapter was only about 1000 words, compared to my current long-term multichapter fic which easily have 2000+ a chapter. Well, aside from that, I don't know why I liked Sniper the most. He throws piss in bottle and I will say, piss is something I avoid if I can. It's in my muted words somewhere.
I never personally played DDLC. I did watch playthrough of it, and seeing people's reactions to some of the stuff was always enjoyable. Yes, Monika was my favorite, and still is. I can't say with certainty why she is, but maybe I just found her the most interesting out of all the characters. This fandom I remember drawing for because this is where one of my OCs originated from, although that character I am only really remembering as I type this out, despite repurposing her.
JJBA. I cannot say that I look back at my time here happily. This is probably where I first started learning about the current state of fandom (ie, Not Good) and getting a bit of personal experience with it. At the time, I did enjoy it. I enjoyed talking in a ship server (A) about it, and another general server (B) about it. It was great and all, until A started blowing up. Which wouldn't be a problem if it didn't have a blacklist of topics that anyone could add to. They're useful in smaller circles, yes, but in large public servers, most things are going to end up being blacklisted. I remember dresses and "positive talk about mothers" being blacklisted, and eventually I got too anxious that I would say something on the blacklist to speak at all. B was okay, and I even tried to get over my fear of talking to strangers in voice chat by joining one during a whiteboard or something similar where everyone draws on the same canvas. I later ended up deleting all 200+ of my messages there and leaving. Why? Because the members of the server did not know the concept of "block and move on." "Scroll away." "Ignore things that you don't like online." A popular artist in the fandom was brought up and the people started trashing on them because of their wedding, which was apparently themed with the favorite JoJo ship. (But honestly, if someone wanted to theme their wedding to a ship I would respect the hell out of them.) The reason I ended up leaving that server was because they started saying stuff like, "It's creepy and weird, because the characters are minors so there's probably something wrong with that person," and implying such things over a JoJo ship of all things. (And, it gets into the territory of the "violent videogames are the cause of vioence" argument. Do you think that because I particularly enjoy using shotguns in videogames because I find them satisfying means that I want to go out and shoot real people with a shotgun? The state of gun control in the US is awful, and if anything, I want less guns.) And, generally, judging things by how "weird" they are rather than whether it harms or helps people is too arbitrary of a measure. Unfortunately, this was far from the last time that I would see serious accusations made on the basis of dumb shit, and now I am doubtful of most callout posts.
Other than that, at least I know all the Jojo references people complain about seeing all the time. Although, now that I'm not into JoJo, I don't actually see that many jokes about it.

Helltaker (Malina) and Weak Hero (Alex)
Malina gets two frames because she unluckily got the one that did not show her face. I can't say I remember much about the Helltaker community, but this was the community that I posted on Reddit to. Since then I have not used Reddit, but it was a good game and people seemed nice, at least from what I remember. Azazel was the one I drew the most, but Malina is a gamer girl, so I chose her for this.
I only remember Weak Hero because I saw that I drew a total of two images for this fandom. I discovered it on Webtoon, and joined a server which I have long since left, and that's all I can remember. Other than that, it was a webtoon with fighting and that's all I can say.

Omori (Omori) and Genshin Impact (Xinyan)
Omori was the first rpgmaker game I actually drew things for, although most of these drawings consisted of Sweetheart. Although I do like Ib and The Witch's House and Corpse Party, I never really went into the fandom. There wasn't much else to it, but the plot of Omori was good and it led me to discover one of my favorite artists, who, unfortunately, has left the internet. I wish them well.
Xinyan is here because she was and still is one of my favorites from the game. I wish she got better treatment from the game, especially gameplay-wise. I haven't drawn much for this game, due to the level of detail on outfits, but I did still play it for two years and read fanfiction for it. Lately I've just been watching videos for the story quest, though. Uninstalling it gave me 50+ GB back of space on my computer. About the Genshin fandom... JoJo may have been my first real bad experience with how online communities are, but this was my first time seeing how widespread it was. Lots of baseless accusations, fighting over headcanons, telling people awful things because they dislike a character... Well, the post that says the best way to enjoy fandom is to enjoy it with a small circle becomes more and more correct.

OC era (Left to Right- Aster @/sepialkali, Lucy @/hattiestgal, Alason @/moonlightguardianmoon, Zion @/sweet-pattycakes, Bisu/Sparrow @/monarch-orien, and Danaus)
For this one I realized that I had leftover blank frames at the end of the animation, and asked my friends for their ocs to fill in. This era lasted a very long time, and started because I discovered Tupperbox. Since then, my characters have become a lot less watered down as I drifted away from roleplay, and most of the things I do with them is just art now. Two of them are getting a sort of visual novel story thing made of them though, if that counts for anything.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nu:Carnival (Kuya), Stardew Valley (Elliott), Wildfrost (Tusk)
Despite playing this game for a sizeable amount of time, the most I've done for this fandom was read fics and draw an event character once. Somehow, despite the bland gameplay, I have made a habit of continuing to play the game. I used Kuya because he's the only character I consistently roll for.
I first played Stardew Valley a long time ago without mods, and then forgot about it for a few years. When I came back to it earlier this year, I thought it would be funny to install mods that makes characters into crazy yanderes. It was definitely entertaining, although most of them were pretty standard. I will give massive props to whoever made the Elliott one, because they added events and schedule changes and a lot more than just dialogue changes. Anyways, the reason this is here is because I decided, on a whim one day, to start writing a very long fic for Stardew. This was at the beginning of the year, and it is not even halfway through right now. Then I lost interest in the game while retaining an interest in writing the fic, somehow.
Wildfrost I picked up near the beginning of the year. It doesn't have much of a story, and there's little fanart because of that, but the character designs are pretty good. I still play it daily, and Tusk is still a good unit, because it's basically free damage.

Honkai Star Rail (Peepaw Welt), The Greatest Estate Developer (Lloyd), The Coffin of Andy and Leyley (Ashley)
Honkai Star Rail remains on my computer, but I cannot find the energy to open and play it. Each new character becomes its own meta, and the gameplay loop isn't that enjoyable anymore. During the time that I did, however, I had my 50/50s ruined twice by Welt, which is why he is here. Otherwise I would've chosen Tingyun or Yanqing instead. Gameplay aside, I am lucky to have found a good community for this fandom through a ship server, as an almost complete mirror of the previous servers I was in for JoJo. They are what keeps me in the fandom.
TGED was a very short era that lasted for less than a month. During that time, however, I was afflicted by the demons, and drew and even wrote a decent amount (at least for my standards.) Funnily enough, what drove me away from it was the server I was in for it. This fandom is a very small one, and so the server had probably the majority of active fandom members that could speak English. What made me leave was the poor moderation and some immaturity from some members. Links to NSFW fanart was allowed in the same channel as SFW fanart, NSFW conversations wouldn't always be in the NSFW channel... Which, if it was an adults only server, would've been fine, but it is not, and I feel that this server is a genuine safety concern with the NSFW problem.
TCOAAL was a game I watched a playthrough of when it first came out, and then I saw the chaos that happened when it blew up with the release of the second chapter. I personally found it very entertaining, with the way people didn't have a problem with cannibalism and murder and cults until they found out there was an ending with incest, and suddenly the game was a bad game you shouldn't play. Although if you look at the Steam reviews most people don't care because, well, it's only a game. This game also served as a bit of a precursor. I find codependency in ships interesting, but I am only slightly interested in the game. I don't think about it that much, for some reason. Maybe that'll change when more chapters are released.
Tumblr media
The S-Classes That I Raised (Han Yoojin)
If you take a quick scroll through my account, you can probably tell that this is my current fandom. Funnily enough, the server that brought me into this was one I joined while trying to get out of TGED. I suppose it only worked because I read it on Webtoon awhile ago. This server is a lot better kept, although maybe it's because it's strictly an 18+ server. As well as that, it's a smaller community within the fandom, because the server's subject is inherently tied to one of the Big Dead Dove topics, so there's a lot less worrying about drama starting over that sort of stuff. To my mutuals, I will not talk about weird dead dove stuff that I'm into unless asked to, so don't worry about it. Some sort of codependency just makes me go crazy. Unfortunately, I was not able to fit him next to another image to make Tumblr make him smaller, and had to remove one of Malina's frames to fit the 30 image limit.
If any of my friends are reading all the way down to here, thanks! I'm very lucky to have you guys as friends, and I hope we can stay friends for a long time.

So, this question might get a bit 'real' but I gotta know, how do you deal with the fact that many artists your age are better than you and that there's artists younger than you that are also much better? I mean, I get insecure when I see another artist that's either my age or younger that, contradictory, seems light years ahead of me and I'm like a decade younger than you, so I'm genuinely curious how you handle it.
I used to sort of be hyperaware of that when I was younger, especially because I really didn't start really being interested in doing art until I was 15, and wasn't able to get my first graphics tablet until I was 19, so I had a bit of a late start and probably didn't help that one of my cousins, who is 6 years my junior, was and still is somewhat of a prodigy when it came to arts and crafts.
Being 15 while hardly grasping the concept of anatomy and my cousin being 9 and making a whole heckin hyperrealistic pencil drawing of an upclose of a sea turtle on the beach, it sort of momentarily knocked the wind out of my sails if not for her saying "I wish I could make up characters like you do, though." which really sort of gave me an interesting perspective on other points of view. As far as she was concerned, she could make really good drawings, but she thought my characters were more fun to imagine.
Of course, I also have some disability stuff that does affect my fine motor skills to some degree, which is why I prefer to use pencils over inks and draw small because that suits better with the control of my wrist because if I did the whole-arm thing you're supposed to do, I'd never get a legible clean line, and holy heck, I absolutely cannot do paintbrush work cleanly at all, it's an absolute mess and looks nothing like how I do with pencils. Either way, I have a slight disadvantage with my range of (lack of) skills, and perspective is jank most of the time because I have no depth perception anyway without my glasses. Sometimes a sketch can take a few minutes on a good day or I spend all night trying to get a decent looking leg to work out in the drawing before giving up and throwing that in the "come back later" bin.
Another thing I like to hold onto is something my Mom has told my brothers and I over the years whenever one of us expressed disappointment in not matching the other in skills: "You are in competition with nobody but yourself."
I also have a sister-in-law who is a fairly popular artist in her particular community, but her wonderful words of wisdom for art is: "If you spend like a thousand hours working on a skill, you're gonna get really good at doing it."
Also, like, the majority of relatives on the paternal side of my family are natural artists in one way or another, sometimes even with textiles and crafts, and I'm recognized as the one in the family who does toon style over realism. My Lil Bro who has an account here on Tumblr I occasionally plug does fantastic anthro work with paws, claws, snouts and textures among other things. He's younger than me by a couple of years, and is the source of the "Sonic Man Candy" print I have hung up in my room that's a bit of a joke between us that I sometimes reference here one in a blue moon.
I haven't drawn this character in a good long while, but a cat character of mine known mostly as Bill (full name "Jared William Danus III") is a bit of a time capsule on how my art style started and changed over the years as I worked more of certain weak points and figured out that my best attributes were probably eyes and expressions, so I put more emphasis on those than anything to mask what might be lacking.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bill started as simply a cat variant of your typical "imp counterpart to another character" in the vein of something like Mr. Mxyzptlk, as he's actually another universe's version of another character of mine, King Milo:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Over time, I sort of evolved Bill into his own thing, where his entire concept was "What if he wasn't exactly the typical main character, but the brother of a Chosen One sort of character, and wasn't even the Prime Universe version of all his variants?"
There's a massive amount of explanation behind him that I won't muddle here, but anyway, you can see that my earlier art bits were very not so good and very amateur and immediately makes my more recent stuff already look a bit better in comparison.
I'd say one of the most effective things you can do as a moral boost in times of doubt got your skills is to take an one of your older art pieces and redraw it. Get a real good look at what you've been able to improve on, check out your new techniques, maybe a better color pallet developed over the years, or maybe you can see life in the eyes of your characters or even see energy you weren't able to do the last time you drew that.
Age really doesn't determine your skill, it's how much time you've put into something you're very passionate about that helps it grow. And maybe a little bit of natural talent with some of us, because I'm pretty sure that's exactly what was going on with my cousin there. Straight up like that SpongeBob drawing a perfect circle thing.

Grab Bag Doodles
Oh, it’s actually a grab bag this time instead of NSR and OC doodles! I’ve been working a lot more than usual this past week, so I haven’t had the energy to work on anything serious, but I just feel like I’ll explode if I don’t start posting at least something I’ve drawn once every few weeks, so here’s my doodles from last-last week.
1) Tabuu and Primid. Wanted to start drawing them again. I feel like I didn’t get as much out of Tabuu and his underlings as I wanted before my interests started shifting.
2) Mini Bosses. As I doodled this, I thought of a comic about how my human Tabuu, Galeem, and Dharkon seemingly have an aversion to clothes. Tabuu is like that for obvious reasons, he’s already a naked humanoid, so any clothing I gave him in this form was just for modesty. Galeem and Dharkon just don’t wear shoes because I feel like they’re more ethereal that way. I’m also trying to drop some of the religious imagery with them and make them more fantasy focused. It’s still a work in progress though.
3) Malt Shop Blue Sketch. He’s the next one up, but I’m not feeling the pose, so I’m probably gonna rework this. It doesn’t really lend itself to much interesting animation. I did however want to swap out his shades for regular glasses, so we can see his eyes through them.
4) Touhou!DJSS. I dunno, I just like the design I made for him and wanted to draw it again. It’s amazing how well DJSS lends himself to being a haughty anime girl.
5) Ex’s Meme. I’ve been wanting to do this for a while, just so my feelings about this ship are a little more clear. I actually already filled it out, but I’ll wait until I actually finish the art to say anything about it. I wanna redo the art anyway. I think it’d be funnier if they’re interacting a little more directly.
6) Sizeshifter. A joke from the “Let’s do a science!” comic that might get cut. I dunno, think it’s a little low brow, but... it’s still kinda funny. Kliff’s here because he’s helping with the experiments as a part of his community service.
--------------------
NJ + Kliff: So does it work on your pe-
DJSS: You’re both going to stop right there before I have a reason to kill you.
--------------------
7) Kun3h0 Expressions. Just working on some expressions for Kun3. I didn’t label them all, but going clockwise, starting in the upper left corner: default, excited, annoyed, despondent, shocked, disappointed. I might rework “despondent” to be a little more interesting. I like making her puffs a little expressive though. Maybe the puffs should “inflate” when she’s mad?
8) Yomi redesign. I don’t think I ever posted about them, but Yomi was the character I came up with to test how HONK works. I was never really happy with their design, but I had to push through so I could focus on learning the program rather then get caught up in the art. They’re still not great, but I like them more than I did before. I might try a human version, because I think this is just serving to prove to myself that I’m really not good at doing more anthro furry stuff yet. We’ll see though~ I’m not too attached to them, so I might design a new avatar for testing.

are you a furry/what's your fursona?
cACKLES OH NO I WAS WAITING FOR THE DAY I'D GET THIS ASK-
listen, kind anon. i spent so many years being very much a non-furry - with lovely furry friends, but it was just not for me! i was always much more into human characters, and anthro characters never really struck me the way they did for a lot of furries growing up. buuut over the past couple of years, i've been drawn to a lot more to furry/anthro characters!!
the first one was definitely Dave the Octopus from The Penguins of Madagascar series…see, i had no idea he was actually an octopus because i'd seen art of his human design (humansona?), and it was quite a shock to realise i still loved him in both forms!! past him i found myself head over heels for Professor Ratigan, then Dr Francis Blowhole…my recent character fixations have been pretty sus, huh 😖💖 we've got Professor Marmalade, Comfortable Doug, Klaus, Megavolt, Moneybags, Ugly Sonic…i suppose there's no denying it any longer. yeah, i reckon i qualify as a furry now 😂
to answer on the fursona part: i've tried drawing a few before, but i've never settled on a specific design or species!! for some furry characters i've drawn like…different self-insert fursonas dependent on how they fit in-universe. for instance, for Comfortable Doug i have this very silly axolotltaur, but i never posted her design;;; i just don't know where to begin! thanks so much for asking this though - it feels pretty nice to talk about for the first time 🥰

12/1/23: r/SketchDaily theme, "Free Draw Friday." Since I didn't do a character portrait last week, and these are closely related, I'm doing two this week. This week's characters from my anthro WWII storyline are the von Adel siblings, Godfrey and Tatiana. They're the children of Ratdog (AKA Adel) (updated portrait) and Didrika. Ratdog's surname is never given--it starts with von and he's the last to carry it, so his children turn his first name into their surname. Both Ratdog and Didrika lose their soulmates near the story's end and name their children in their honor; Godfrey is named after Godfrey Klemper, while Tatiana is named after Boris's sister Tatiana. This is them as adults since they aren't born yet during the main story. There'll be more about them later in my art Tumblr and Toyhou.se.
Regarding their design, they're meant to resemble both parents somewhat. And based on their eye color I don't think genetic laws follow the same logic in my story, but I dunno, maybe Didrika's got blue-eyed ancestors.
TUMBLR EDIT: So, according to human genetics, if Ratdog has no brown-eyed gene and Didrika has no recessive blue-eyed gene, they COULD still have blue-eyed kids, I guess...? Genetics isn't my strong suit. Anyway.
I'll write up Godfrey's and Tatiana's entries together as they're so closely tied and don't have enough info yet to justify separate writeups, though their art will be separate. I think baby Godfrey might show up in a flash-forward(?) near the end of Ultima Thule but am not sure; they do not appear otherwise in the main series, as they aren't born until afterward. Aside from the main, mostly wartime plot, there are backstories (see, for example, Ilse von Dobermann's recent entry), sidestories (lots of the plot I've been going over takes place "offscreen" while the main plot is occurring--I haven't drawn him yet, but Hauptsturmführer Oskar Ettlinger is a good example of a character who appears almost exclusively in sidestory), and afterstories, or flash-forwards, what becomes of the characters afterward. (There's also a peculiarity I call "In Heaven," but I won't get into it here.) You can see an example of extensive afterstory in Johanna Wolfstein's entry. Godfrey and Tatiana appear almost exclusively in afterstory; I roughly estimate that they're born in the late Forties/early Fifties, so as they appear here, the story is likely in the late Sixties/early Seventies--again, very rough estimate. I think Ratdog is born around 1910-1915, so he'd be in his fifties or sixties.
Very brief summary of events I've already gone over, Ratdog loses his lover Godfrey Klemper to a sniper, and Didrika loses her lover Boris to suicide toward the war's end. As Ratdog had given Boris his gun to kill himself rather than die a slow death due to a wound, Didrika initially blames Ratdog for his death, and shoots him in retaliation. She belatedly realizes the truth of the situation--Ratdog was just trying to alleviate the suffering of an enemy, plus, he's mourning his own loss--so when he passes out from blood loss, she bustles him back to his house to try to save his life. When he regains consciousness, the two former enemies realize they're both going through the same grief; they never do fall in love with each other, but they do grow close over their shared pain, and become devoted partners. Didrika names their first child after Klemper. She's rather dismayed when their second child is a girl, simply because she'd hoped to name the baby Boris. Vaguely amused by this, Ratdog--now going by his birth name Adel--asks, well, what would Boris have named her...? Didrika thinks a moment before remembering how fondly Boris had spoken of his younger sister Tatiana, who had been killed serving in the Red Army. They name their daughter Tatiana.
Adel and Didrika had not planned on having children--Didrika figured she wasn't even able to. So she's rather flustered by the whole situation. Ironically, Adel is better prepared to handle it than she is. He fathered a son, Hans, out of wedlock years ago, and had to figure out almost entirely on his own how to care for the baby as a single father after the mother abandoned the infant with him. He made a lot of mistakes, but did his best, and loved the boy dearly; so he took it pretty hard when Hans was run down by a speeding motorcycle after wandering out in the road. He buried the toddler some small distance from his house in the woods, and buried Klemper beside him after his death years later. Klemper was the one he'd considered his family, similar with Didrika and Boris. They're together now instead. Didrika has no idea how to handle a baby, and is easily frustrated; the more even-tempered Adel ends up bonding more with Godfrey and then Tatiana, knowing better how to handle them. Didrika loves their children, of course, though she never quite manages to bridge this little gap between them; she just doesn't view herself as mother material. Adel dotes on the children, while Didrika maintains a slight distance. It's a rather odd family dynamic, but they manage to make it work.
Adel and Didrika often bring their young children to visit the Himmel house, a formerly abandoned mansion out in the country near the Albrechts' farm. Otto Himmel once served in the SS but did what he could to thwart their influence behind the scenes, to protect his disabled son; he moved into the mansion and, similar to Adel, partnered up with Johanna Wolfstein (Himmel's never stopped mourning his deceased wife), and they've adopted a handful of children, as Johanna can't have any of her own. The mansion becomes a favorite visiting place for old friends, allies, and even former enemies from the war. Himmel adores children even more than Adel, having always wanted a big family, though his wife died giving birth to their only son; he now takes joy vicariously through his adopted children, and those who visit his house. He greets baby Godfrey, then baby Tatiana, with a big smile and asks to hold them. As they grow into toddlers he spoils them with candies, and likes to watch them run around and play on his property. Whenever they knock something over or break something in the house, he's the one to quickly brush off Didrika's exasperated admonishments, insisting that children will be children, and it's always best to just let them play and get it out. Himmel soon becomes a sort of beloved family member himself, with Tatiana especially calling him Uncle Otto. Himmel's eyes, which are usually so sad, always light up and crinkle when he's called this. Over the years, Tatiana often visits him for advice or comfort, which he always gives.
As adults, Godfrey and Tatiana decide to live together as neither ends up getting married, at least earlier on. They've always noticed the bit of distance between their parents, and Adel (who's better at such things) explains why he and their mother never got married; they love each other, but they aren't in love. Didrika obviously still carries a torch for Boris, and Adel still mourns Klemper. Godfrey takes this revelation better than Tatiana, who believes parents should be devoted to each other and their children; "Unfortunately, Schatzi, life isn't always so simple," Adel says when she mumbles her disapproval, and Godfrey--always more realistic and less romantic than his sister--shushes her before she can carry on. "This isn't the sort of thing for you to fuss over," he chides her when they're alone, and when she again tries to protest--"Think on it, Godfrey, how it feels to know your own parents don't even love each other?"--he replies, "You're thinking only of yourself. Didn't you see how he felt--? Every time he says my name, for example," and when Tatiana furrows her brow, he says, "Like it reminds him, every single time. Of the person he really loves. You can't just choose to stop loving someone because they're gone, Tati. Uncle Otto could tell you that."
Didrika gradually grows listless and weak, and finally can barely pull herself out of bed. Adel waits on her hand and foot, but it's obvious she's very ill, and only getting worse. A country healer comes to look her over and quietly tells Adel what she believes she has; she uses a different, folksy name, but Adel knows that in the city they simply call it cancer. The healer says it's in her blood, and while she can alleviate some of the symptoms for a time, she can't cure her. "It isn't good, is it," Didrika murmurs when she sees the look on Adel's face; she tries to convince him not to worry about or waste his time on her, but he promises to care for her as long as he's able. "Let me take care of everything now...?" he says softly, "And you just try to get your rest." Didrika obviously feels guilty to no longer be able to carry her weight, but knows better than to argue. She breaks down crying a few times, and Adel always comforts her. Godfrey and Tatiana, who live nearer the city, come to visit often, sitting with their mother and keeping her company when their father has to go out and do anything. Tatiana tries to convince her to return to the city with them, but Didrika refuses: "If a healer can't do anything for me, why do you think some fancy city gadjo doctor can...? I'm better off here, at home." Tatiana appeals to Adel behind Didrika's back, but he simply reiterates Didrika's argument, adding when he sees his daughter's aggrieved look, "You think I haven't already tried to convince her otherwise, Schatzi...? She's stubborn, and she changes her mind for no one, not even me. Believe me, I've tried every line I have." Although it crushes her inside, Tatiana knows he's being honest and there's nothing more they can say to change her mind.
One day Kolten, Himmel's son, is out in the yard chopping wood when he spots someone approaching across the fields; recognizing Adel, and seeing the look on his face, he puts down his ax and hurries out back, calling, "Papa--? Papa!" Finding Himmel tending to the vegetable garden--"Kolten? What is it?"--he says, "Herr Adel is coming. His face..." And without thinking he mimics the expression. Himmel pales a little, pushes himself to his feet, and grabs his walking stick. "Find Johanna, and have her fetch some hot tea," he says, and limps off as Kolten obeys. He meets Adel in the yard, like Kolten sees his glassy stare, and says, "Herr Adel...? Are you all right?" Adel swallows a few times before murmuring, "Didi," and although it's rather out of character for both of them, Himmel briefly embraces him before leading him inside.
Although rather numb--"I don't think it's really hit him yet," Himmel murmurs--Adel is already trying to figure out what needs to be done. He thinks they should try to contact Mirela and her father Nikolas, two other Roma he knows, to ask about any customs or rites they might need to follow. Regarding Didrika's burial, "She should be with Boris," Adel says, and he's adamant about it. Boris had died out in the countryside, and Didrika had buried him herself; she gave Adel the location and coordinates at a later point, and Himmel jots this down. Johanna calls Sgt. Gold Rat, an American soldier still living in Germany; he's close to Mirela and Nikolas, and the two agree to meet with Adel to sort out Didrika's funeral. (Upon hearing the news, Mirela breaks down weeping; Didrika and Boris had been her mentors of a sort.) Nikolas says the important thing is that Didrika be buried in consecrated ground; "I don't believe it is," Adel says doubtfully, as Boris was buried pretty much in the middle of nowhere. Himmel says, "I believe I know someone who can help," and when they all gather out at the forest's edge to locate Boris's grave, a Catholic priest joins them. Himmel has known him since before the war, and once threatened some troublemaking Nazis away from his church. "This isn't entirely 'kosher,' for want of a better word," he murmurs, adding, "Typically a bishop should be the one doing this," but Nikolas says it should be all right, so he scatters holy water around Boris's gravesite when they finally locate it and recites a prayer. The men dig a grave, Kolten doing most of the work as he's the strongest. "Keep this between us, ja...?" the priest says to Himmel, and offers more prayers as Didrika's body, bundled up in blankets, is lowered into the hole--Mirela, crying again, places within a religious charm, while Johanna murmurs a Jewish prayer and Nikolas sings a folk song under his breath--and Godfrey comforts his weeping sister. Adel just stands silently, looking the weariest he's looked in a long time. It's an odd little mishmash of a funeral, traditional Roma and Catholic and Jewish mixed all together, but once the ground is covered up again and markers and flowers and stones placed, the group quietly agrees it was a nice ceremony, and slowly disperses. "Papa and Mama should be together," Tatiana mumbles sadly as she trudges through the grass with Godfrey's arm around her, to which her brother sighs and replies, "This is both their wish. You do think they should have that much, ja...?"
Still...Tatiana is as stubborn as Didrika, and confronts her father not long after; "How do you and Mama plan to find each other again?" she asks, "If you're not near each other? You two were together, you're the one who cared for her most, not this Boris. You should be together at the end. You might not be able to find each other, so far apart." "Find each other where...?" Adel asks, sounding mystified; "In the next life," Tatiana insists. Adel gets an oddly resigned look on his face and sighs.
Adel: "We really shouldn't argue over this, Schatzi."
Tatiana: "Why not? Don't you worry?"
Adel: "I don't worry about something I don't believe in."
Tatiana: *stunned* "What...? Don't believe in what?"
Adel: "A 'next life.' There's no such thing. There's no second chance, to do things over. We have this one life, and that's it."
Tatiana: "How can you not believe...?"
Adel: *bitterly* "If you'd seen the things I've seen--" *cuts himself off, takes & lets out a breath* *calmer* "Because I've seen no reason to believe." *pause; Tatiana stares* *sighing* "And this is why we shouldn't argue over it, Schatzi. Your Mutter and I, we didn't agree on this, but when you and Godfrey were born, we agreed we wouldn't teach you how to believe, we'd let you find your own things to believe in. And you have. It's not what I believe in but I'd never tell you what you should or shouldn't believe. And you shouldn't be telling me."
Tatiana: "You...don't believe you and Mama will find each other again...?"
Adel: "Even if we could, that's not what was meant to happen. She wanted to be with Herr Boris. That's the belief that brought her comfort. You'd talk to me about belief, yet deny her that...?"
Tatiana: "Then...if you don't believe that, what brings you comfort...?"
Adel: *resigned look; silence*
Tatiana returns home to Godfrey, stunned; she'd never had any idea their father is an atheist. This hits almost as hard as realizing that he and her mother hadn't been in love, and she spends quite a while agonizing over it. Godfrey's acceptance of this information--none of it surprises him in the least, "If you'd been through even half the stuff Vater's been through, you'd understand why he doesn't believe"--just frustrates her further, and she seeks solace from "Uncle Otto." Although he doesn't regularly attend church, Himmel is definitely a believer, and he and Tatiana have prayed together numerous times. From all she's heard, he's been put through the wringer as well--he lost his father at a young age, his mother took her life when he was a teenager, he served in the Great War while underage and suffered a severe injury and shell shock, nearly died of the flu, considered taking his own life, lost his wife in childbirth, had his disabled son taken away to be raised by the state, then his own brother-in-law tried to have him killed so he could take custody of his son and experiment on him--so, Tatiana reasons, why isn't he atheist, too? To her consternation, Himmel doesn't confirm her reasoning: "It's different for everyone, Liebe. Some people have a fuller cup than others; some people are built up by pain, some are torn down. What's a comfort to one person might be suffering to another. Even I've had my moments of doubt. Everyone has to work with what he has. Your Vater's choice not to believe is his choice alone to make, not yours. He has his reasons I'm sure he's thought through. All you can do is respect that."
Tatiana is terribly discouraged by all this hitting her at once--she's a rather anxious sort who worries constantly about everyone, and so takes comfort in the thought that someday all her family will be together again, and perfect, and at peace--which she's pretty sure can't happen if they aren't all on the same page. And it especially bothers her that she can't change anyone's mind or convince them otherwise. "I'm his daughter, you think I could convince him to believe, if only for my sake," she complains to Godfrey; his apparent lack of concern about such things wears on her, yet she has no one else to vent to. "I feel like a failure that I can't get him to believe." Godfrey assures her this isn't the case; it's not her place to convince anyone of anything, and she'll just drive herself crazy trying. "What about you?" she demands, "Why does this not upset you?"
Godfrey: "Because I accept it's something I have no power to change. And the sooner you accept it, the less you'll drive yourself mad over it. If you believe so much, no matter what Vater thinks, everything will work out in the end, won't it--?"
Tatiana: "Do you believe...? Or not?"
Godfrey: *rolling eyes & sighing* "Tati..."
Tatiana: *growing strident* "Do you--?"
Godfrey: *throwing up hands* "I...don't know! I don't know."
Tatiana: "How can you not know--?"
Godfrey: "I just don't! I don't understand how you're so certain something is true and Vater is so certain it's not. I really don't think ANYONE can know for sure." *shrugs* "I guess...I'm somewhere in the middle? And I'm fine not knowing."
Tatiana: "How can you be fine with it? What is there for you to take comfort from?"
Godfrey: "I just am. And I take comfort from Mutter and Vater not pushing anything on us and trusting us enough to make our own decisions. They believed in us, why don't you believe in them? Everybody has to come up with their own path, and they believed in us enough to let us do so. I find that comforting. Don't you?"
Tatiana: *eyes downcast; murmuring* "I just want us all to be together again someday."
Godfrey: "And maybe we will be. How do you know we won't? And that's then, not now. Why don't you be here for Vater now?...I really think he needs us, now."
Godfrey explains: Adel of course hasn't said any such thing aloud, but Godfrey is sure he's in pain. Much more than he'll let on. He and Didrika might not have been IN love, but they still loved each other, and now she's gone, and Adel is alone. He's suffered a near-unimaginable amount of loss in his lifetime--his parents, his sister, his son, Klemper, now Didrika--Godfrey finds himself uncharacteristically worried about him. Tatiana instantly forgets her troubles about convincing him to believe and fixates on this instead; "He didn't cry at the funeral," she says, eyes wide, "are you sure he's so upset...?" "You know how he is, always hiding everything," Godfrey replies; "just because he won't show it doesn't mean it's not there." He suggests that, rather than keep trying to pick an argument she'll never win, she simply try to be there for their father now--"And not just in some future afterlife that might or might not exist."
Tatiana is oddly silent for a long moment; her stare drifts downward and her fingers fiddle nervously with the edge of her blouse. "What...?" Godfrey says, and frowns. "What is it?" Tatiana responds by drawing in on herself, a miserable look coming to her face. "Tati, you're frightening me now," Godfrey exclaims, "what is it? What's wrong?"
Tatiana: "I...I planned to tell Papa later, I swear I did, but now...now I wonder if...if he should even know at all. But I don't know how I'd keep it from him."
Godfrey: "Keep what from him?"
Tatiana: "If he's really going through so much all at once, I don't want to add to that."
Godfrey: "Add what--? Tati, what are you talking about?"
Tatiana: "I only just found out for sure a few days ago." *pause* "I..." *trails off* *hands creep over her abdomen*
Godfrey: *stares* *eyes widen* "Tati..." *looks up at her* "You're pregnant...?"
Tatiana: *nods, eyes wet*
Godfrey: "How...? What are you going to do?"
Tatiana: "A stupid mistake. But...I don't know..." *looks at her abdomen* "I kind of like the thought of being a Mutter. I think I'd make a good one...do you?"
Godfrey: "Of course you would."
Tatiana: "I'd be all on my own, though..."
Godfrey: "You wouldn't. You could stay here and I could help you."
Tatiana: *peers up at him* "You mean it...?"
Godfrey: "Of course I mean it! You're family."
Tatiana: *looking down* "I was going to wait a little while, then tell Papa...give him some time to get used to the idea...but now I'm not so sure I should."
Godfrey: "How exactly would you hide that from him--?"
Tatiana: "I don't know...but I can't bear to disappoint him, now...!"
Godfrey: "Tati..." *takes her arms* "If you think for one moment Vater will be disappointed in you over this..."
Tatiana: *tearful* "How could he not be? I'm not married...not employed...don't even have a partner...I have no idea what I'm doing..."
Godfrey: "Listen to yourself. You do know who you're talking about, ja--? Vater, who made a stupid mistake. Who owned up to it even though he had no idea what he was doing. Who loved that mistake with all his heart and mourns it still. Trust me, Tati, he's not going to be disappointed in you, because he's not a hypocrite."
Tatiana: "Maybe I should think about it a little while..."
Godfrey: "Nein, Tati, you have to tell him."
Tatiana: "Maybe after it's born--"
Godfrey: "Nein. You have to tell him as soon as possible." *grasps her arms, looking her in the eyes: "As soon as possible, Tati. Trust me."
Tatiana promises to tell Adel the next time she visits, Godfrey's insistence perplexing her. What happens next is outlined HERE.
Elias Baswitz is a former partisan fighter who had a run-in with Klemper during the war, and they shared a brief time together before parting ways. After the war, he accidentally stumbled across a makeshift grave near a woodland road, an odd combination of a death rune and a cross, topped with a Stahlhelm; curiously lifting the helmet to peer at the rune, he was startled to see the name G KLEMPER carved into the wood. He only belatedly noticed the much smaller grave beside it, bearing a marker that said merely HANS. He tearfully said a prayer for the dead and placed stones on both graves before heading on his way. Every time he had reason to pass by that area, he would pray and leave stones, until one day he found a man with a rifle pointed at him, demanding to know why he kept leaving rocks on the graves. Baswitz replied that it was a Jewish custom and he'd meant no disrespect. This seemed to strike a chord for the man, and he asked if his name was Elias. After a few confused questions and answers, the situation was cleared up: The man with the gun was Ratdog, AKA Adel, and he and Klemper had been close. The two became decent acquaintances, Baswitz always making sure to pay his respects at Klemper's and Hans's graves whenever he paid Adel and Didrika a visit, Adel sharing his hospitality and news in return.
Baswitz is the one who, trekking through the snowy woods one day after a blizzard, is puzzled to see no smoke rising through the trees as he nears Adel's cottage; his puzzlement turns to concern when he sees that Klemper's and Hans's graves haven't been cleared of snow yet, then alarm when he spots the cottage and notices that the door is standing open. He hurries up, calling, "Herr Adel--? Herr Adel!" as he enters--he shudders at the way his breath plumes even inside, furrows his brow at the open windows, the snow piled on the floor and furniture. He picks an upended glass off the table--underneath is a slip of paper saying merely I'M SORRY, I TRIED--and glances around again, calling, "Herr Adel?" Then gasps and jerks back--he spots the bed area tucked into an alcove, and someone is lying in it, still and powdered with snow.
Baswitz makes the long trek to Himmel's house. Himmel, Johanna, and Johanna's brother Jakob Wolfstein have to calm him down to get the details from him as he can barely speak; once it becomes clear he's talking about Adel, the three men hurry out to Wolfstein's big truck while Johanna gets on the telephone. They drive back to the cottage, where Himmel carefully rolls Adel toward him a bit and feels his neck; he shakes his head, murmuring, "He's ice cold." He retrieves something from Adel's hand--an old wooden horse--and looks it over, puzzled. They debate what to do, before deciding to bundle him up and place him in the snowbank next to the cottage until a proper grave can be dug--beside Klemper and Hans. "That's where he would want to be," Baswitz says through his tears; "he cared for those graves like little else."
Johanna greets them back at the mansion; she's called Godfrey and Tatiana. They arrive some time later, and Himmel and Wolfstein share the news; Godfrey's face pinches with obvious grief, though he doesn't seem surprised. Tatiana breaks down sobbing. She's so overcome that Johanna has to take Hans from her while Kolten stands in the doorway, hands over his ears. Baswitz is himself consumed by guilt--"I should have stopped by to check on him sooner"--but Godfrey murmurs, "He wasn't doing well for a long time...I don't think you could've done anything. No one could have."
There's little hope of burying Adel in the deep of winter with the ground frozen; they have to wait until the spring thaw. Kolten again does most of the digging--"I can do it! It's not too much," he insists when the others try to help--and a third marker is placed beside Hans's and Klemper's. Baswitz promises to tend to them all. Adel is interred without any real ceremony, though it's obvious some silent prayers are being said; everyone heads back to the cottage. Tatiana is the hardest hit, so Johanna sits with her until Himmel comes in. Tatiana sobs on his knee as he strokes her hair.
Tatiana: *crying* "I'm so angry with him."
Himmel: *silence*
Tatiana: "How could he be so selfish...? How could he think we'd be all right without him? I wasn't ready. I had so much to tell him. I thought...I thought Hans would convince him to hold on. I thought I could convince him. Why? Why weren't we good enough...?"
Himmel: "Sometimes nothing is enough, Liebe. It says nothing about you."
Tatiana: "Now I have to figure everything out without him and I'm not ready to and I'm just...so angry. I'm so mad at him for leaving us. Am I wrong? Godfrey doesn't seem angry."
Himmel: "Grief is never wrong, Liebe. It's merely different for everyone. Don't feel ashamed of it."
Tatiana: "I feel like I'll be angry forever" *cries harder* "How could he leave us...things were going to be better. All he had to do was hold on. Why couldn't he hold on...?"
Himmel: "I think sometimes the hurt just outweighs the happiness, Liebe. Some people hold on until they simply have nothing left. It's not your fault for not being enough. I think...he just gave out before you came along, but held on as long as he could anyway. There was nothing you could've done."
Tatiana: "I thought he might keep going for Hans."
Himmel: "And he did, as long as he could. Until he couldn't anymore. That's not on you, Liebe. You didn't fail him. You did your best. You kept him going so he could meet his grandson. You're a good daughter."
Godfrey and Tatiana return home, though they keep in touch, Tatiana calling on the phone just to talk when she needs advice. She stops by for a visit not long after; Kolten emerges from his room to look at little Hans, bundled in Tatiana's arms, while Johanna fetches Himmel. Noticing Kolten's curiosity, Tatiana asks Himmel if Hans would be safe with him (Kolten is a very big, imposing guy); "Of course," Himmel beams, "Kolten?--would you like to hold him for a bit?" Tatiana shows Kolten how to hold the infant--Hans is positively tiny in his huge hands--and steps into the next room to talk with Himmel. She's nervous and uncertain about something, so he tries to put her at ease. She finally, tentatively explains why she's there: "I'd...I'd wanted to ask Papa," she murmurs, "but...well...anyway, you've always been so kind to me, even when I know I was a hassle and didn't deserve it...what I wanted to ask you was, would you be Hans's Pate (godfather)?" Himmel just stares, so she hastens to add, "If...if you want to. I understand if you don't, and it's all right--and I'm sorry if I'm bothering you--"
"Nein," Himmel says abruptly, cutting her off. He shakes his head; "I mean you aren't bothering me at all. Of course." And his sad eyes light up and he beams again. "Of course I will," he says. "I'd be honored. Danke."

yippee
so I've been procrastinating, of course, but i procrastinated on that Breeze scene from Euphoric Agony by stopping my procrastination on finally designing my new fursona (Both Kealan (the goober in my pfp) and Breeze lost those titles because of lore reasons.)
Tumblr media
Tadaaa! This is Mellan, same pronouns as mine (they/he/it)! Funny enough, this is with zero reference and i've never actually drawn a leporine before.
i'm surprised i managed this 'cause my art skills have been a little silly lately and just don't want to do anything. No shading for the sake of color picking later on, but I'm glad with how this turned out!
almost considered doingna raccoon... maybe secondary sona but I also have some anthros I gotta design/redesign still so...
oh and first proper sighting of the lineart i usually use. my shading looks vaugely like it's painted to so that's something to expect. Only vaugely - it's messy but with the lineart it looks great trust me (i'll have to post old art for an example)
oh and that 16-point star is my personal sigil - not sure if it's like unique unique but it's the sigil i use for my mando armor (part of the mandalorian mercs) so ofc i had to include it

i think this explains the aging up topic pretty well
so where is the line drawn from ‘aging up a character ’ to p*dophelia because i’ve seen adults say pretty 18+ stuff about bakugo in particular without disclosing is he’s ‘aged up’ /gen
i’m going to answer these in one ask because i addressed both of these points in the first post. don’t rb this post im going to delete it in an hour bc im exhausted and don’t bother the original creator 👍🏽
the video is a form of thought policing and doesn’t definitively conclude anything. they use bnha as an example, saying without a timeskip - you can’t view these characters as adults because you’ve never seen them engage as adults. so where does this put anime onlys for animes with technical timeskips for example an anime like haikyuu that doesn’t have a timeskip animated? does that mean anyone who writes smut for haikyuu without having read the manga is a predator? or pre season 4 of aot before tha timeskip got animated? or is it possible see a character and revert to their adult depictions when making fan content because that’s how fiction works?
and where does that leave a character like yuuji who has a canon age according to the author, of being 18? where we’re currently in a different year? a character like yuuta? both of who are canonly of age?
the second point is a bad faith argument since it works under the assumption that the other person is expressing explicit attraction to a character because he’s a minor. do you think people who express attraction to a character like legoshi or nick wilde both of which are anthro animals, is an accurate depiction of what they do or how they feel?
or is it possible to find a character depiction and personality appealing briefly  without it being a “gotcha,” moment? that a person isn’t perceiving age but a character as a whole and that their mind fills in the gaps by perceiving them as something else, recontextualizing them to fit in bettr w their own perception of life, as an adult?
you’re welcome to draw the line at either of these. that is your right. calling someone a something as damaging as a predator on the basis of transformative fan content is not.

Have you ever looked into the Kilrathi from wing commander? A race of alien/tiger creatures.A lot of the time I look at your amazing catart projects and think you could make some badass kilrathi art! :)
Haven't really heard or watched any of Wing Commander, so my characters aren't based from it.
On the subject on where did I got my inspiration from is really nowhere. I think I've mentioned it before vaguely here, but for reiterations sake I'll tell you how "Catproject" came to be.
So before becoming a pony artist, I did a lot of anime artwork so I kept switching back and forth between the arts, and at one point I wondered if I could combine both of the arts, hence becoming a furry artist. One of my first furry artwork was a Lombax inspired (From Ratchet and Clank) female, who I think I never named and I created along side her two other male characters of similar kind. The story went that one of the male characters went missing, so the other two would go look after him. During their search they would stumble upon other villages and one of them was the cat village.
Kur was my very first cat anthro that I've ever drawn and he was supposed to be the head of the village in the story. I mentioned already that I didn't get inspiration from anywhere, well that's a bit of a lie. Kur's inspiration came from my character in Skyrim Khajit that was named at the time "Criminal Scum". His style nowadays doesn't match it at all. I created next Nao and I became so invested in them that I started drawing more of them and come up with an origin story for Kur as well. The original story that was first mentioned is quite scrapped at the moment and as you have probably noticed already, I'm quite focused on this story. It has been planned since 2014.
I was also asked long time ago if my characters were based from the Thunder Cats series, and I do have to say that I've missed all the series with anthropomorphic cats... As for the setting for the story, I'd probably call it grounded. It isn't sci-fi, despite having modernlike clothing, no space traveling, but not set on earth either. Both of the story's factions live in quite primitive settlements rather then highly populated city's. Characters have superpowerlike abilities, but their more common traits for them rather than something that needs to be earned. The only idea that I'm conflicted with is magic, since during combat scenes that characters would be able to summon their weapons from thin air (That's why my characters don't have sword cases) and that would be the extent of their magic capabilities. Also I planed a scene where there would be some realm traveling. I don't want the magic to be the vocal point of the story and neither something to be there for plot conveniences.
Anyways sorry for the long wall of text, but I do hope this will clarify most things left unexplained. Also, I'll look into the Kilrathi art. :)

12, 23, 37, 49 for OC questions!
wasn't actually expecting to get asked anything holy crap!
12. Name an OC that isn’t yours but who you like a lot
@acheyri's FFXIV character Svee! I have never been so obsessed with an OC that wasn't my own, but I genuinely love Svee so so much, both her design and her story. She's complicated and messy and real, and Ripley's art and discussions about her are absolutely fantastic.
Tumblr media
23. Introduce OC that has changed from your first idea concerning what the character would be like?
Ough, that would be Sira, my very first OC. I don't have any pictures of her first design (when I was 8-10) because I never took photos of it and have long since lost the journal she was doodled in, but she was a completely human girl with brown hair and ordinary human blue eyes. She was one of three protagonists of a very very YA "series" I was writing about three human girls who became nonhuman through shenanigans and had perfect nonhuman boyfriends and saved the world lmao. Then when I first joined the furry community, I reworked her into a cat/dragon (and supposedly wolverine but I was 12 and this was literally never shown in her design) hybrid:
Tumblr media
(old art by @felisrandomis - like, 11 years ago old lol)
over the years i reworked her again and sort of merged her with another character of mine, a werecat assassin, and bounced her through several design changes. I made her dark gray with light gray rosettes, dark gray with blue rosettes, then finally settled on and stayed with silvery gray with darker gray rosettes.
Tumblr media
(art by Chandraken - also 11 years old; i went through changes for Sira rapidfire for a while there lol)
Tumblr media
(crop of the last ref i did for her a few years ago. she does have a fully human form but I used to draw her as an anthro or neko 90% of the time so)
Her story is also waaaaay different than the original iteration. Rather than a 13 year old girl who magically saves the world with no pain or consequences and also gains cool powers and a hot boyfriend, she's now a bitchy, traumatized adult assassin/ex child soldier locked into a life contract with an employer she wants to kill. She also murdered her husband (he kinda deserved it). Her storyline... really does not have a happy ending any more.
37. Introduce an OC who is not quite human
How human do they have to be/appear to fit the "not quite"? By my definition Sira would qualify, as would my answers to number 49, and also this dude!
Greirat, local satyr boy. One of two different satyr OCs I have and definitely the more wild one despite having such a sweet face. He's lowkey a shapeshifter and his true form is a cat-satyr creature created by @.Felisrandomis, so this is about as human as his appearance can get:
Tumblr media
His ref sheet is like. The only art I've ever drawn of him and I really oughtta fix that sometime. Maybe tweak his design a little, now that I think about it.
49. Which one of your OCs would most likely enjoy memes
My MTG oc Mestas, hands down. Lovac, one of my FFXIV ocs, would be a very close second, and it's probably a good thing those two exist in totally separate universes, because they'd likely drive their friends batshit constantly memeing back and forth with each other.
If social media was a thing on Ravnica, Mes would totally be a tumblr blogger. She'd constantly post memes about her friends, the guilds, and any prominent characters from canon. She'd @ Jace Beleren in every single one. He has no idea who she is or how she got his contact information. He's blocked her 16 times and she still manages to do it. She doesn't even have multiple accounts.
No pics for these two cause I'm redoing Mestas' ref and I changed Lovac's skin tone, and my only saved screenshots of him are from before that. He's not my main file so I rarely play him OTL.

I really love the recent concept of were-shark Bruce! It's honestly so creative! I've heard of quite a few were-creatures before, but never a were-shark! And his design? SO perfect! Quite possibly the most adorable sea beast on legs I've ever seen! 💖 Do you think he'd like being petted more in that form than in human form?
// Thank you! Unfortunately I can’t take credit for ‘wereshark’ or the design since many artists who have drawn anthro sharks have the similar standard design. The Cetus species design, on the other hand, is something I’ve spent years developing!
As for whether Bruce likes pets more in wereshark or Cetus forms, probably! But he’s also pretty affectionate in human form, too.

“Diarmad”
TFW you have a badass villain in a story but turn him into a clown  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯   I kinda struggled with the colour choice so I guess it's experimental again..? I've never drawn an anthro bird before so this is like... my first try :D His name's Diarmad and it's a bearded vulture (really LOVE these). Need to calculate while drawing next time because the wings look horrible xD This character is a part of an rpg me and my friend are playing, the whole plot and story is based on TPN (you can read about the AU here). Diarmad is one of the "Guardians" (Loyal Daemons' "pet") who's very purposeful when he gives himself a task. Appeared only once in the whole story... but will return again >:3 Kinda wanna punch myself for doing new projects and ignoring the old project which are like... almost 5 years old and need to be finished?? Damn, but I couldn't resist xD Character & artwork © me
