“I always feel as if I cannot keep up with other people. Everyone else seems to have a destination in mind.” photos by Will Eastwick-Field (insta) cosplay made by me (sans shirt and boots), 3D printed brooches purchased from the Dangerous Ladies taken at MCM London May 2023
Made a Linhardt cosplay last October and got some pics of him at May MCM! Linhardt was originally a cosplan from 2020 (lol) so I’m really glad I finally got around to making it last year. He’s hands down my fave from three houses and honestly a character I relate to a lot, not to mention I love his timeskip design, so it was such a joy to finally cosplay him!
I think if anything the cosplay looks better irl since all the green ends up looking a little… plain? in the pics, but I was really happy with the fabrics I chose for this outfit and I think they come across well in the detail shots!!

Munday post
I figured maybe this week I’d do a different type of Munday.  Most of my long time roleplay partners already know me quite a bit and I also try to introduce myself to newer partners as well, however I figured this could be a good chance for everyone to really get to know me.  I’m including everything under a read more not because long post and also because I know not everyone likes seeing this type of thing.  It’s just a bunch of random facts about me and my favorite things along with a munday pic under the cut.  I didn’t want to just throw out a munday picture like most would do.  I’ve done that plenty of times before and there’s nothing wrong with it, I just felt like doing something a bit more unique and different this time that might really give people a chance to get to know me :D
So long post under the cut.
So, first off, my name is Derek.  I’m the mun.  I just recently turned 30 and I’m from Indiana.  I work in a preschool, essentially as a glorified baby sitter.  I help the teachers get their breaks.
I’ve been interacting on here since November of 2013 and I’ve had this exact blog with this exact URL the entire time.  I wanted something really generic and not just a quote or something like that.  I first tried TheEleventhDoctor, but obviously that was taken so this ended up being what I went with.  As for the theme, it too was made a VERY long time ago.  The TARDIS theme with the opening doors on the TARDIS actually used to be quite popular when I first started interacting on here, particularly with the Doctor Who RP fandom.  Although I’m the only one I see with it these days, if you go looking for older Doctor Who blogs that have gone inactive you are actually likely to find a few other blogs with it.  As for the background picture, I found that one myself except for the part with Matt Smith/The Eleventh Doctor edited on.  That part was done by someone I used to interact with who just surprised me with it one day and unfortunately isn’t on Tumblr anymore :(  Having been on this platform for so long I’ve obviously seen a lot of blogs come and go and I miss every single last one of them :(  However I also enjoy everyone I currently interact with and would recommend almost any of them.  Seriously, if anyone is looking for new people to interact with, let me know you are looking for people and what fandoms you enjoy and I can probably recommend a few blogs!
Outside of Tumblr RP, I enjoy video games, yugioh, reading comics, general super hero related stuff, watching movies, playing Pokemon Go (I help run the local PoGo community) general board games, watching my shows, figure collecting, and cosplay, most of which I’m sure is stuff many of you also enjoy.  My fandoms include Doctor Who (obviously), DC, Star Wars, The Legend of Korra/ATLA (I’m one of the few that likes LoK more than ATLA), Marvel, Star Trek, Firefly, Power Rangers, The Walking Dead, Yugioh, Pokemon, Sherlock, general Nintendo fandom, Digimon and Harry Potter.
Here’s a few things about me in list form.
My favorite musician is Weird Al Yankovic.
My favorite book is Look Me in the Eye by John Elder Robbison.  As someone who’s been diagnosed with aspergers syndrome myself, this book really spoke to me in my original read through and since then I’ve purchased it multiple times.  I own at least three or four different copies of this book, partially because I kept loaning it out to people.
My favorite book series is the Harry Potter series.  Don’t ask me for a favorite book in the series, I love them all about equally.
As for comics, right now my favorite thing I’m reading is the Power Rangers series that Boom is putting out.  Some of my favorites of all time include Power Ranger Soul of the Dragon, the Star Trek TNG/Doctor Who crossover, the Power Rangers/Justice League Crossover, the original Spider-Gwen series, Poison Ivy Cycle of Life and Death, The Dark Knight Returns (I know anything Frank Miller related is a bit controversial but I enjoy it for what it is) and Batman: Hush.
Favorite movies include UHF, Scott Pilgrim VS the World, Captain America The Winter Soldier, Captain America the First Avenger, Avengers End Game, the Justice League movie, anything and everything DC animated, anything and everything Spider-Man related (yes, I even like Spider-Man 3 although it wasn’t as good as the others), anything Star Wars related although I’d say Force Awakens is my favorite one, the 2017 Power Rangers movie, Serenity, The Lego movie and it’s sequel, Yugioh Bonds Beyond Time, Mystery Men, Galaxy Quest, all the Star Trek movies, the corny 90′s Mario movie, the Doctor Who movie, and Detective Pikachu.  Really, any of the Marvel and DC movies could probably make this list as well, I’m not super picky when it comes to movies.
Favorite TV shows is something I am a bit pickier about.  Doctor Who is obviously on the list, and I’ve watched and enjoyed most of the Marvel and DC live action stuff although I have a huge preference for the arrowverse and 70′s Wonder Woman.  Animated stuff tends to vary but a lot of the older stuff from the early and mid 90′s seems to be best for that.  Power Rangers is obviously on the list as well, along with The Walking Dead, Digimon, Avatar the Last Airbender, The Legend of Korra, Sherlock, Yugioh, Firefly, and off the top of my head that’s about it.  Everyone always assumes I’m huge into anime as well, but I’m not actually that into it.  Just not my thing.
Now video games has potential to be my longest list as it’s easily my favorite medium of story telling due to the interactivity.  First off, Nintendo and Playstation are my general consoles of choice.  Nothing against Xbox, I have a lot of respect for the brand but I can’t really afford to have three consoles (even though I wish I could) and Nintendo and Sony have more offerings for me personally.  I also do dabble on PC a bit, but I don’t really have a high end PC and it’s mostly just for Sims.  That being said, my favorite games and game series include Watch_Dogs, The Sims, Mario (mostly the “main series,” 3D games and 2D platformers but I do enjoy some of the off series stuff like Mario Kart and Mario Party as well) , Pokemon, Super Smash Brothers, The Force Unleashed series, Injustice, most of the Spider-Man games, The Last of Us, Tomb Raider, most of the Batman games, Wario Ware, The Last of Us (still haven’t played the sequel yet.  Waiting to get it for cheap after seeing reviews), Days Gone, Control, Horizon Zero Dawn, No Man’s Sky, 51 Worldwide Classics for Switch, No Man’s Sky, the Tony Hawk Games (still haven’t played the new one yet), Time Splitters, The Movies, Hulk Ultimate Destruction, Zombies Ate My Neighbhors, Kirby, The Legend of Korra game (the 3d one, not the really bad one for 3DS), Donkey Kong, Street Fighter 2, Punch Out, Metal Gear Solid 5 the Phantom Pain, Sonic Heroes, and the list could go on and on.
My favorite drink is root beer or chocolate milkshakes if that counts
My favorite alcoholic drink is probably just a basic screwdriver tbh
My favorite food is Cheeseburgers, although Chicken Pot Pie is also a top contender tbh
My favorite color is green
My favorite Doctor is Eleventh obviously, but Thirteen, Two and Twelve are tied for second
Favorite companions are Amy, River (if she counts), and Donna
Favorite New Who episode is The Eleventh Hour
Favorite Classic Who story is Genesis of the Daleks
Since I’ve mentioned super heroes a lot, my favorites are Batman, Wonder Woman and Spider-Man, although Supergirl, Batgirl, Captain America, Scarlet Witch and Black Widow are also pretty high on the list.
Favorite game in the Pokemon series is X and Y
Dragonite is my favorite Pokemon
Favorite 3D Mario game is Odyssey although Sunshine would be next up on the list.
This is my only Tumblr RP blog.  I also have an ask meme blog and I used to have a personal but I haven’t logged onto it in years.
I’m on discord and I do add people from Tumblr on there, but I mostly only use it for Pokemon Go tbh
I spend every Wednesday and Sunday at the local comic book shop playing Yugioh
For anyone wondering in relation to that last fact, my current competitive deck Barrier Stun.  Some of my favorite casual decks that I play or have played in the past are Lightsworn, Blue-Eyes, E-Heroes, Greed, Sacred Beasts, Penguins and Six Samurai.
In the last decade I’ve moved about 3 times
I own pets!  I have one dog and one cat currently, but a few years back when we lived in a more country like setting, we owned 7 cats and 2 dogs at maximum.  Most of them died of old age over the last few years.
Before my current job I used to work at Walmart.  Long time followers of the blog may remember that I hated it there.
I don’t have a whole lot of writing experience outside of Tumblr tbh.  While I do enjoy writing on here, it’s the interactions itself that makes it fun for me and while I’ve tried to write a few things myself, it’s just not the same as roleplay.
Anyway, I just sort of wanted to do something different for munday besides just posting pictures of myself so I hope anyone who read this enjoyed it.  Here’s a pic of the mun to go with it.

This is a place for me to come to, to get shit off my mind. Things that have been absorbing in my head. Fantasies, thoughts, things that turn me on. Things that I would NEVER do in the real.
I am married. I have 2 beautiful boys and I love my family very much. Though my wife is NOT very sexually active. She is extremely hot in my book. She isn't sex talkative. She doesn't like bringing it up. Gets uncomfortable at times. And I'm the complete opposite 🤣.
I love talking about sex. Even in the most nastiest of ways... Like kinky, orgasmic, fun, different, etc. Like anal, for instance.
I am pansexual. Meaning I love and respect everyone for whom they desire or call themselves. Race, sex, origin, w.e. I'm not judgemental. She isn't into anal. Like at all.
Now I can eat the booty like groceries 😋. But I can't get my dick up inside of her. But my tongue can go as far as she will let me. Or my fingers (Fingers, only being 1).
I love giving and receiving anal. It feels amazing. But I have never had a real dick inside of me. always wanted to try it. I'm sure it feel way better than a dildo or toy. But, I can never get her to talk about tryin anything new. She's traditional in a way. But she is bi. And always wants to do something with another woman. But as soon as I bring up the topic, it all of a sudden becomes cheating???? Like TF??? How the hell does that make any Sense?
So, ur telling me. That it's ok for u to bring up wanting to try something different with another woman in our relationship. But me as the pan man 😂🤣 I can't. How the fuck????
Explain!
Please lol.
My wife and I were both born on the same month, same day, down to the same year. Even better, I was born 7 hours before she was. That's rare asf. We r both Capricorns. But I don't feel like I'm my sign. I act way differently then my sign. I act more like all of them in a way lol.
Off topic sorry. Already start drink 😅😭🤣🤣🤣🤣 💩🤦🤦🤦🤦
Ik, ik.... What is wrong with me? I'm married to a hot ass woman and she's not even in any kind of way like me lol... But we like and dislike alot of the same things. There r se things that r different from each other. But only very few things.
We r both about to be 29 in 3 months. Crazy how the time flies these days.
Our kids r about to be closer and closer to becoming preteens. So we feel much older then we r lol.
Again, off topic LMFAO 😂.
I'm extremely sexually active 😜. I love sex in all kinds of ways. Just NOT into BDSM, bondage. Or any other weird kinks alot of ppl r into.... I'm different and sensitive. But I claim myself to be a femboi/trap/trans. I have been thinking about goin through transition for a while now. But everytime I want to talk to my wife about it. She isn't ready for me to talk about it. It's not u, it's me. So why r u not ready for me to talk about something???? That make no freaking sense.....
Can anyone help me out here???
What am I doing wrong here? Is there any pointers I can get so that I may change something or the way I'm goin about this....
Now don't get me wrong. My wife and I r very hard workers. She works as an assistant manager at a pretty Kool restaurant. And I work 2 to 3 jobs. I do landscaping, construction, and mechanical work on the side. But between work and everything... There is little time to spend with each other. And it's like bruh.... I just want to spend time with my wife. And the thing so want to go and do, I can't without her. Because I want her to be there with me when I do them. So that she can witness it with me. To have that experience.
I'm a big teddy bear. Not that I'm a big guy lol. I'm not. I'm only 195 lbs. I've lost a shit load of weight in the past 2 years. I used to be 237lbs. So I'm doin good. But I still have that tummy. Which btw I fuckin hate.
I'm struggling here and need someone to talk to that isn't goin to point me in the wrong direction or judge me for me. I'm a really nice guy and it's extremely hard to find ppl like me in this fucked up world we live in. I love helping ppl in any ways that I can.
Alot of ppl judge me because I have no teeth. I have gingivitis. I was born with it. It means (only for those of u outtthere that don't know what it means) my gums and teeth naturally fall out of my mouth and brushing them only makes it worse, mouth wash makes them bleed uncontrollably. I have been to the dentist and they all have told me it's gunna take alot of work and time to fix my teeth and make them look and feel like teeth again. So in other words.... If I don't come up with $125,000 In the next 2 to 3 years. My teeth will remain like this till I die.... Wonderful.
Guys/girls/trans everything.....
😭😭😭😭 I hate not having teeth and as a grown ass man it tears me up about not having teeth. Like the other day I finally got to take my wife out on a date. It's been 3 years since we were even able to do that. I got something I haven't had in a while. It was mostly soft. We were talking and laughing. It's been a while for that too. I love seeing the look on her face when she laughs. It's beautiful.
But I bit down on my food and I felt something snap.
I was instantly like oh no.... What now.... Crossing my fingers I was hoping it was just part of the food. Praying to everything in me that it wasn't my tooth...
I spit all my food out and started to dig through my half chewed up food and feeling around with my tongue in my mouth what tooth it may have been. Then I found it.
I started to tear up and cry a bit. U have no idea how much it hurts to not be able to smile because I have no teeth. Or ur teeth r rotting out. And it makes u look like a crack head. Dude.... I'm a fuckin pothead. I have never in my fuckin life ever done anything but smoke fuckin weed and my teeth look like I'm an overdosing crackhead.
Do uk what that's like???? My wife is the only person I have ever met that doesn't judge me for not having teeth. She just looks at me, rubs my back and says maybe we should go. And being me, I'm like no it's ok. As ppl around me stare like what is wrong with him....
And me bek g the guy I am when I am hurting inside... Look over and go "WHAT??? HAVE U NEVER SEEN A GROWN MAN CRY BEFORE?". And they look away in such disgust.
Dude, this shit sucks.
Of topic in a way.
She is absolutely amazing. Idk what I would do without her. And I'm sorry for those of u out there that recently lost someone like my wife. Only u, understand what it's like to truly love someone as unconditional as I do for my wife.
And I feel u on so many levels.
She is one of a kind. As I am as well.
But, there r some things we still need working on. All relationships r not perfect. And mine is by far from perfect. Is not. And that's ok. I don't want perfect. I want different. But at the same time I want to be heard, just as much as she does.
If anyone has some advice, please feel free to message me.
So just so everyone is aware of my post.
I post things that I fantasize about on a daily. Things that I DO NOT ACT OUT ON. Things that just make me think. I have never done some of the thing I have posted on here. But I would love to try some.
My turn on r (for those of u out there that want to send me anything that I might like):
I love live videos of sex in any way. Real pictures of sex in any way. Anyone who wants to know more send me a message. I will get in depth.
Another thing I have been dying to try is having ppl send me money to send them videos or short clips of me riding my dildo or in my panties.
I do need some new friends who r into some fun stuff. I love public sex. Getting caught is the fun part. Gangbangs r a turn on. Orgies, parties, drugs, alcohol, school porn, I'm not into anything hairy. (No hairy dicks, or pussy pics) I like dog sex. Horse sex. Old and young. Gay. Twink. Shemales. Tranny's. Ladyboy's. Femboys. Traps. Sissies. Transgender. Toys. Dildos. Any positions. Drunk. Stranger. Public stranger. Police. Hospital. Ghetto. Teens. Kids. Underage. Anime. Hentia. Comics. Cosplay. Driving. Hitchhiker. Abduction. Kidnapped. Ransom. Random. Creampied. Cum swapping. Facials. Bukkake. Anal. Blowjob's. Handjobs. I'm not into feet. But, I'll try anything once. Cum covered. Public cum blasting. Fingering. Rimjobs. Ass to mouth. Masturbating. Parents. Cheating. Father daughter. Father son. Mother daughter. Mother son. Family. Incest. Pool. Tied up. Dungeon. Rape. And anything else u might think I like. Some of these I would love to try. Any videos of these help. I'm also a huge fun of black girls and boys. Big dicks. Pyt. Omegle. Vichatter, etc. Homemade. Anything illegal. Send me a message with w.e. u want. Hell. I'll even take links if u have those. Something that isn't going to give me a virus on my phone or computer. And get me any to prison. Last time I did that. I almost went to jail for murder cuz it was a friend of mine and he tried to set me up. I'm not ok with that.
It's hard enough not being able to talk about this shit with anyone. Cuz ur afraid they will think ur a pedo or something.
Fantasy. Those r the ones who need dick the most.
Thank u guys. Love u all. Hope to hear from u soon.

Morning Musume in NYC 2018, Friday
In the wee morning hours, I took the various trains to my hotel, and the walk from the nearest station to the hotel was a miserable affair, slogging through the slush on the sidewalk as rain poured down and the wind blew in what seemed like every direction at once, with my arms and hands in awkward positions, as I had to handle an umbrella, luggage, and a cane all at once. I met up with my friend at the hotel around 7AM, and we checked in our luggage (which cost money, because NYC), and had a discussion that, surely, no one would be mad enough to queue in this weather this early. The con had even issued an email saying that no one should queue until 9, due to the weather. I decided to scout out Javits, though, because I knew that wota gonna wot, meaning queuing stupid early no matter what. Sure enough, there was a nice line already growing at the convention center, so we joined the line around 7:30. This still put us in a good position, within the first 15-20 of the Mega line. We got to talking with a girl from Texas, and it became fairly clear that mosmt of the early queuers were MM fans, though though there were a few fans of the other artists. During all this time, rain and wind waxed and waned, so sometimes it wasn't too bad, and other times there was a bad chill. Friday did not get off to a good start, for setting impressions of Anime NYC. We had a cramped schedule, as the MM autograph session and the concert guests panel were nearly back-to-back, and then our press interview with MM was scheduled almost right before the autograph session, and all of that was almost right after doors would open. So it was going to be critical that we got into the doors to get our autograph tickets ASAP, or we might lose the window to get our press credentials and hold the interview. Well, doors opened significantly late. And then they had the Mega holders sit in line for the autograph tickets for about half an hour until all Mega and General attendees had been admitted and General had picked up their badges and then gotten in line for autograph tickets, so they could have a guy orally tell us the rules for tickets just one time (even though obviously people would show up after he did so). This meant we nervously watched the clock tick by and they refused to let us get autograph tickets for no good reason (just post the rules right by the table! It was all already in the con app, website, and booklet anyways!), getting ever closer to the time were we would just have to forfeit getting autograph tickets or forfeit the interview. Finally, they let the ticket gathering begin, and it's a damned good thing we queued early, as we grabbed our tickets and sprinted to the press office with just minutes to spare. Our fellow press members, who had waited until 8 or so to queue, did indeed arrive a few minutes late, though the guest staff handling us for the interview was extremely gracious to allow the delay. Apparently, the complaints about this nonsense were so noticeable that the con issued an apology that night and said that they would be changing their procedure for the autograph ticket queuing for the next day. So that shows that they do take feedback, which is much more promising. We were informed that we would only be interviewing a subset of the group, as they were rotating members amongst the various press outlets. And then we did our interview, and it was pretty magical. Will link the result when it comes out. UFA retained editorial power over anything we'll publish, as usual. But one of the things that happened was that my friend was wearing a 12th gen FC shirt, which Chel honed in on and gushed over a bit. My friend and I then rushed to prep for the autograph session: getting into cosplay. She went as Yokoyan in Minmin Rock n Roll, complete with pinning printouts of the cartoon cicadas from the MV all over. There are pics of her on Twitter! Originally, I was going to match her as an improbably tall Funaki, but then the Furari Ginza MV came out, and I just knew that I had to take advantage of the timeliness to be dapper!Dii. Unfortunately, having to change from "camp in miserable weather" clothes to cosplay clothes in the half hour between the interview and the autograph session meant that we couldn't bag-check, and couldn't get through the merch line, either. I ended up having the girls sign a Houston shirt. My friend, though, stole the session just about, by having the girls sign some musical photobooks. As the line was in seniority order, she started by explaining to each girl that they had signed the Lilium photobook last time (in Houston), but she wanted to finish it out with Dii's signature, so in the mean time, they could sign this year's Snefuru book instead. And not only did every girl recognize my friend's cosplay (many even starting to sing the Minmikimikimikimiki intro lol), they just lost it every time at the photobook pic of baby!KSS!Lilium!Dii. It was great. Chel also had a moment of "wait, you were wearing a 12th gen shirt before???" and my friend reassured her that she was still wearing it under the safari shirt. The girls did recognize my cosplay as well, but I didn't have much to say to them, to my regret. I did ask Chel if she watches any American TV, and she said she had watched Spongebob just that morning. And I got Sakura to do the Furari Ginza dab with me. Talking to everyone else about the autograph session, it appears that the girls (and management) were surprisingly accommodating, and most of us had really great interactions with them. Unfortunately, this meant that the line moved slowly, and they ended up running out of time, and some people with tickets could not get an autograph. Ultimately, I feel that I would have been okay with going down the line faster, so that more people would get their time with the girls, so I hope the managers keep stricter track of time in the future. From there, we spent some time with the merch (they were selling the new single, fall tour T-shirts and towels, a NYC exclusive photoset, and member key holders), before queuing for the panel. We were early enough to get within the first 3 rows, and I sussed out from looking at the chair setup on which side that MM was going to sit, so we were very very close to the girls for the panel, and I feel like the girls recognized us. Plus, an audience member brought their baby on our side, so the girls kept looking over in our area. I liked most of the decisions the con took with the panel. A moderator (an ANN writer) asking her own questions, and then selecting from a shortlist of questions submitted by audience members earlier. In the first rounds, she asked the same question of each guest (picking a single member from MM to answer each time). When MM introduced themselves, they each gave their names, and then their favorite anime. Maachan said "My favorite anime is Disney Channel," L O L. Later, a non-MM fan said that they had mass respect for the girl who said Re: Zero was their favorite, as most of the other picks were mainstream rather than late-night stuff. Shokotan really showed why she's a fan favorite, being so very enthusiastic and earnest with every answer, fully engaging the audience and sweeping them up into her energy. More importantly, she and Harunan professed their love for each other as fellow otaku. None for you, Dii. Eripon talked about how, in contrast to the other guests, this wasn't their first time in NYC. But they were still surprised by the snow, lol. She also noted that MM doesn't really have anisongs, even though this concert was Anisong World Matsuri, lol. Ayumi talked about what we should expect at the live, and especially pointed out the fist raise gesture she wanted us to do for not-Furari-Ginza. Maria talked about what makes the Colorful lineup unique within MM's history, and she said that it was about the hot energy of their lives. Hagababy talked about the hardest bit of dancing she had to learn, which was how to do turns properly. And SOMEHOW they didn't let Chel talk. What. Maachan was heavily jetlagged. And despite not getting to answer a question, she still stole a few great moments, besides the above meme-worth introduction. At one point, when they were passing the mic from Ayumi to Maria, the cord got in her face and she let out a cute squeak. Later, when the panel was discussing how Kageyama had been in the industry for decades, he mentioned that he first joined a band 40 years ago, and Maa started trying to count on her fingers what year/decade that would be, and Sakura was like "just stop that, that's embarassing," lol. One thing that tainted the panel, though, was that all of the translators weren't great. Lots of answers were really clearly truncated, missing half of the material or more, and a few were outright bungled, giving the opposite of what the guests had said. Bleh. And that concluded the MM activities for the day! We browsed the dealer's hall a bit, including picking up some Lady Kaga onsen flyers, and taking pictures in our cosplays with the big MM picture set up there. I was just beyond pooped and sleep deprived at that point, so after having a mid-afternoon dinner, we retired to the hotel.

[#TheFourWeekendPlan]
Tumblr media
May 11
So the four-weekend plan begins with the usual mall-hopping trip at a mall in Novaliches and the three malls in the Fairview area, plus a sip of cappuccino frappe at a cafe in Lagro and a tempura bowl at a Japanese fast food in SM Fairview. I visited every second-hand bookshop in these malls and checked the shelves for some interesting manga titles. I also checked other shops as well.
Tumblr media
I checked SM Novaliches expansion at the former BPO area, and it looks like Macao Imperial Tea will open a branch there. And I find a couple of interesting manga books (one of them is Aldnoah.Zero) at Booksale’s branch in that mall as well, only I can’t spend too much at the moment.
While I had cappuccino frappe and siomai at a cafe in Lagro, I also had a fantastic (early) dinner--a tempura bowl at Karate Kid... and I get to eat with chopsticks too (yup, they actually provide chopsticks upon request). Well, I’m getting better at using chopsticks, and I don’t have to take off my fingerless gloves just so I can eat. Amazing, isn’t it?
Tumblr media
Of course, there’s the usual rooftop retreat at the Fairview Terraces roof garden, where I worked on some of the 6+1 stories to be featured on an upcoming literary special. While I initially target to publish the literary special post on the 19th of May, I decided to move it to a later date.
The night ends with just checking a couple of shops in the mall area. I didn’t get to check HMR, though.
May 12
A mother’s day celebration at my mom’s house, with my aunt and cousins. We had a small feast of pancit canton.
It’s been a while since I visit my mom since she had classes on Sundays. She is aiming to be an instructor specializing in tile setting, and I hope she makes it.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, I managed to spend an hour at Fairview Terraces roof garden writing stories and checking the venue of the upcoming event POF 2019: Asobu at the Robinsons Novaliches Trade Hall. Regarding the latter, it looks like they’re going to occupy the entire area, which is actually great considering that they need to accommodate a great number of congoers, plus the exhibitors' booths. And they even have an area for press briefings and meet-and-greet activities.
I eventually have the convention map and the schedule of the event, which were posted on their Facebook page. I’m hoping to attend the first day of the event (Friday, May 17th) just to catch the Otaku Choice Awards.
May 17-19
For the post: The Keihancarl Diaries: May 17-19, 2019
Tumblr media
Well, it seems like I can go to the first day of the event after all. I get to have selfies with some of the cosplayers and bought some awesome souvenirs as well. And I did catch the first half of the Otaku Choice Awards.
For the rest of the event, I witnessed a variety of competitions, including various cosplay competitions and the battle of the bands. There were featured guests and performances, as well as fan meetups.
Of course, I did wear my favorite black fleece coat, an anime shirt, and black fingerless gloves, but only on the second and third day of the event. For the first day of the event, I opted for a pastel yellow shirt, black knitted vest, and the same black fingerless gloves.
Tumblr media
It sure feels weird being at an otaku event all by myself, and I certainly looked like a misfit among the crowd of anime fans, die-hard otakus, and some cosplayers. Even though I’m a casual otaku watching English-dubbed anime, reading English-translated second-hand manga, listening to a few anime soundtracks, and probably collecting various anime merch, I certainly feel out of place there. I don’t know if there are some congoers who feels the same way, maybe some of them are just like me.
Despite this, I’m lucky enough to buy some souvenirs at the event, and I get to my idol Ariel Villasanta (see TKD post). And of course, I had selfies with some of the cosplayers too.
Tumblr media
Though not as crowded and exciting as the previous POF events I’ve attended (POF 2017: Danketsu and POF 2018: Ai), I still managed to enjoy the event just the same. I hoped that the next POF event will be held at the same venue next year.
May 25
For the post: The Keihancarl Diaries: May 25, 2019
Tumblr media
A mall-hopping trip commenced a week right after POF 2019: Asobu, but things didn’t go as expected. For starters, the heavy traffic in Deparo and Novaliches areas totally disrupted my mood, as well as the (expected) rainfall and some other inconveniences along the way. Also, Baywalk is closed in the meantime due to the desilting operations along the Manila Bay shoreline, from the U.S. Embassy up to the Manila Yacht Club.
Tumblr media
On the brighter side, however, I really enjoyed taking selfies at the Lucky Chinatown Mall in Binondo, and these are the only selfie pics I took during the entire trip. And of course, the shrimp-chorizo fried rice at Habeat is really good. I somehow managed to check a few shops along the way, most of them are bookshops.
Anyway, while heading down the escalator at a mall in Binondo, an elderly man took notice of the red anime shirt I’m wearing, which says “People are my playthings”. He appeared to be a little wary of the shirt’s design, but I guess he didn’t really care much about it. Also, at a mall in San Lazaro area in Manila, a guy about my age (who probably works as a sales representative for a bank) apparently tried to approach me, thinking that my shirt and/or the pins are cool, and may probably be wondering where I got them. I simply didn’t pay him attention and walked off. Besides, I’m not really expecting some random stranger to approach me for whatever reason. As I ride the escalator to the upper level, I was kind of wondering if I actually encountered that guy during the otaku event exactly a week prior, probably as a cosplayer, but that’s just a 100% speculation and nothing else. Maybe he’s just curious, that’s all.
Tumblr media
Just as I thought that my mall-hopping trip probably sucked, I happened to score another manga book at a Booksale branch in SM Fairview. Of course, I bought it immediately, seeing that it’s a popular title (Full Metal Alchemist) and I’m not gonna let this opportunity pass me by, so there!
It was quite an adventure... more like a misadventure, to be honest. But I somehow managed to enjoy the trip in a different way. I’m planning to wear the same outfit again on my next mall-hopping trip down south.
May 26
I visited my mom that day and assisted her with the module she’s working on. She didn’t have classes that day, so that means I can come over for a visit. While I initially have other plans for that day, I’ll just reserve it for the following week. Besides, I haven’t visited her in a while since her classes (which is on weekends, particularly Sundays) started last January.
June 1-2
Tumblr media
The final week of the four-weekend plan didn't turn out great as expected. My Saturday afternoon plans began rather late, and the strap of my watch was torn along the way. I have to deal with it for a while until I either had the strap fixed or buy a new one.
I decided to wear my red anime shirt again and decided to head to Starmall San Jose Del Monte for a mall-hopping trip outside the Lagro-Fairview area. And then I had matcha cheesecake at a dessert shop in Lagro. My favorite cafe is already closed during that time, as it is past 5:00 PM when I arrived.
Tumblr media
I then went on a mall-hopping trip in the Fairview malls and bought myself a gray shirt with a cool graphic print (a pumpkin holding a banner that says “I am not a latte”). I also checked the venue where POF 2019: Asobu was held two weeks ago, and it sure feels a little quiet there.
I was thinking of buying a new watch, even if that means I have to spend a lot of money just for that. I simply can't go out without wearing one. I had a donburi bowl at Tokyo Tokyo, this time it is chicken oyakodon. It was really good.
The following day, I decided to wear the gray shirt I bought yesterday and just focused on the three malls. I bought a Rockman mug at a bargain department store (Robinsons Novaliches) and had an early dinner of dumplings with laksa soup and Hainanese rice (Paotsin) at the Fairview Terraces food court.
The entire weekend ends with story writing up at the Fairview Terraces rooftop garden and a visit to some shops. And that concludes the four-weekend plan.
Postscript
Tumblr media
In the past four weekends, I had cappuccino frappe, jasmine tea with rock salt and cheese, and matcha cheesecake, dined in Japanese fast food restos, attended a three-day otaku event, bought some cool stuff (especially the T-shirts and the pins), went on a problematic mall-hopping trip, wrote snippets of the stories and articles I’m currently working on, and don cool-looking outfits (especially the ones featuring my black fleece coat and black fingerless gloves).
Despite my excitement on these four weekends, I had mixed feelings about it, especially on the second and third week (the otaku event and the mall-hopping trip). Nevertheless, I did manage to enjoy the good things that happened and I might replicate this next year. I am so looking forward to the next POF event and a mall-hopping trip right after that.
Right now, I’m looking forward to the Manila International Book Fair 2019 and my 29th birthday celebration. And hopefully, another otaku event (probably Best Of Anime 2019) at the SMX Convention Center. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for these events... and my plans.

Step-By-Step G.I. Joe Snake Eyes DIY Cosplay Instructions
SocMedSean - Social.Media.Sean Step-By-Step G.I. Joe Snake Eyes DIY Cosplay Instructions
I know, it’s a little bit of a divergence from my regular social media-focused content, but I’m in the middle of writing an article about the impact of social media on the world of cosplay and comic-cons, so I thought I would share one of my favorite cosplay creations. I’ll be sharing the link to the article about cosplay and social media in the next few days.
As some of you might know, I have been involved in cosplay for a while now and have built costumes for myself, friends and family.
I started cosplaying as a way to engage in crafting projects with my kids. We’re kind of a geeky family. My daughter is a big Harley Quinn, Ellie (from The Last Of Us), and Bucky/Winter Soldier fan and my son is a Nightwing, Green Arrow, and Star Wars fan.
As a result, I found that building costumes for each of us for Kansas City’s Planet Comicon was a good way keep us all involved in a project throughout the year.

My daughter as Bucky Barnes – AKA the Winter Soldier
Planet Comicon is in the Spring of each year, so we would start thinking about our costumes in June/July (post-Comicon) and we would build with the idea that Halloween would be our dry run.
The kids would wear their cosplay costumes while they trick-or-treated and we would take notes of what worked and didn’t work so we could make adjustments.
While the kids’ costumes have always been the priority, they always wanted me to participate, as well, so I created costumes for characters such as Deathstroke (to go with Green Arrow) and Joel (from The Last of Us) to compliment their costumes.

This year, though, neither of my kids wanted to cosplay so I decided to start on a project that I have long wanted to do…but have been a bit intimidated by. This character is one of my all time favorites from my childhood, so I was a bit nervous to do it. Most of it was in fear that it wouldn’t turn out as good as I wanted it to.
The character of Snake Eyes from G.I. Joe is one of the baddest characters of all time. His ninja skills, combined with his mastery of modern weapons made him a force to be reckoned with. His self-imposed silence and ongoing feud with his brother, Storm Shadow, made him even more mysterious and daunting.
So…with that in mind, I decided that this was THE year for Snake Eyes.
Honestly, I’m really, really happy with the outcome.
Did everything turn out as good as I wanted? No.
Were the results of my work completely satisfying and made me really happy? Yes.
Did people keep stopping me at Planet Comicon for photos? Yes.
Is there still room for improvement? Yes…and that’s what I love about all good cosplay costumes. They are never finished and can always be improved.
To share the love, I thought I might start the process of documenting my cosplay costumes in order to help someone else out there who wants some guidance.
This tutorial has detailed instructions for anyone wanting get started with a Snake Eyes comicon cosplay or Halloween costume. I outline all of the items that I purchased, as well as the steps to create the items that I built from foam.
Please – If you create a Snake Eyes cosplay based on these instructions, send me a link and I’ll update the post with your photo or photos. Let’s document some of the baddest Snake Eyes costumes out there.
Snake Eyes Cosplays That I Drew Inspiration From
To start, I want to recognize all those that came before me and helped me visualize the version of Snake Eyes that I wanted to portray. If you don’t know, there are many options for Snake Eyes, ranging from the comic book full spandex suit to the heavily-armored, helmeted movie version.
After Google searches, these are the ones that helped me decide on my approach, which is the comic book version of the character. Some of the Google searches that returned the best results were:
Snake Eyes cosplay GI Joe

Examples of great Snake Eyes cosplay
Snake Eyes visor cosplay (more on this below)
As you can see in the photo below, I have 5 comic books hanging on my wall at work and the comic book above is one of them.

In addition to this badass comic book rendering, I used these cosplays for inspiration:
Neumatic on DeviantArt
Trooper 13 on AminoApps
Snake Eyes 1 & 2 on Pinterest
This unknown Snake Eyes on Pinterest
The great Snake Eyes images on Meijin Cosplay
The common characteristics for these cosplays were basically:
Comic book character version with no helmet
Visor instead of goggles
Sword as the primary weapon
Pants
Tactical vest or armor
Important Note: This year, Planet Comicon announced that they were not going to allow freely-carried, realistic looking firearms replicas as props. The decision was made after working with local law enforcement agencies on the response to potential active shooter situations. Because the Law Enforcement Officers (LEOs) would have a difficult time distinguishing a prop rifle or pistol from a real one and, thus, identifying an actual shooter, they opted to not allow them. For this reason, I wanted my primary weapon to be the sword.
The Basics – Boots, Pants, And Shirt
Affiliate Disclosure – Before going any further, be aware the links below to the actual items that I used are affiliate links. When you click these links, I may earn a portion of the sale. It helps me keep the site going and creating and sharing great cosplays. The decision as to whether to buy the same items is completely up to you.
Let’s start from bottom up.
Finding A Comfortable Pair Of Black Combat or Work Boots
The boots I use are Black Brahma Work Boots that look a bit like combat boots. The biggest reason I use these boots is comfort. I have tried several different boots with my Deathstroke cosplay and by the end of the con, my feet were killing me.
So, after doing some research, I landed on these boots and I love them. They are comfortable for walking the con floor and they go really well with both my Deathstroke and Snake Eyes cosplays.
You don’t need to go expensive. If you find a really nice set of boots that you like but they don’t have comfortable insoles, just rip them out and buy a set of gel insoles from Wal-Mart. The key is comfort.
These are the boots that I use for both my Snake Eyes and Deathstroke cosplays
The cost of these boots is pretty reasonable. You can find the boots on Amazon or at local shoe stores ranging from $45 – $60. The boots I have are discontinued, so the ones on Amazon and your local store might be a little different.
Trust me though, invest in your boots (or at least the insoles). Your piggies will thank you after a long day at the con.
The Shirt Needs To Be Comfortable And Breathe
Cons get hot.
There are a lot of people packed into small space and if your costume is great, you’re going to get up-close-and-personal with people for photos. Make sure you don’t stink from overheating and sweating like crazy.
For that reason, I highly recommend you look into a lycra, breathable athletic shirt. For me, I went with the Starter Men’s Long Sleeve Tech T-Shirt in Black.
This Starter athletic shirt kept me cool throughout the con, allowing for up-close-and personal pics with Snake Eyes fans.
I am 6’1″ and 170lbs and usually wear a large shirt, but I wanted the shirt to be tight, rather than baggy, since Snake Eyes wears a skin-tight suit. So, I went a size down and chose medium. It was just right and never came untucked, so I was happy. It also allowed air to flow, so it kept me cool…despite being tight.
The Pants Should Be Tactical AND Have Pockets
Let’s address the pockets element first.
Being at a con without pockets sucks. Sure, it might be canonical that your character doesn’t have pockets, but you need to carry a wallet, keys, con map, bottle of water, etc…For that reason, buy pants with extra pockets. They go with the tactical look and are functional.
The pants I chose are the RothCo BDU pants in black. Again, I use these for both Snake Eyes and Deathstroke (see a pattern forming here?).
These pants were cost-effective and have help up really well over the years. The extra pockets are great for con gear.
These pants are comfortable, light, and have extra side pockets. They also have an adjustable waistband that allows you to “let them out” a little bit if you eat too much at the con.
One note on these pants. I ordered this pair back in 2014 and they have served well. The stitches and buttons have held tight and the buckles that adjust the waist still work flawlessly. The dark black color, though, has started to fade after all the washes. I will probably be buying a new pair this year so I can get that dark black color back.
Five years for a $35 pair of pants is pretty damn good, though.
The Tactical Vest, Utility Belt, Hood, And Gloves
Now that you’re pretty much dressed, the next group of items are the ones that go over your shirt and pants.
Get A Tactical Vest That Is Versatile And Comfortable
The utility vest that I use is one of my favorite items in my cosplay closet. It is very adjustable, has tons of pockets and clips, and allows for the use of pistols and swords (more on those later).
The vest I use is the UTG Law Enforcement Tactical SWAT Vest. As you can see in the photo below, it allows me to accessorize with faux shotgun shells, grenades, rounds of ammunition, and even has a pocket big enough to carry a water bottle. In fact, in the pocket to the left of the pistol, there is currently a 16oz water bottle. Can you tell?
This tactical vest is one of my favorite, most versatile pieces of equipment.
Get A Comfortable Hood That Doesn’t Obstruct Your Vision
I went through two hoods before I landed on the right one. Remember, Snake Eyes has a visor but his mouth is visible. For this reason, you need a hood that covers your head, but allows your eyes to be open. I landed on a lycra hood with one big eye opening, rather than two, individual eye openings.
The first hood I tried had the two individual eye openings (think ski mask with no mouth hole) and it obstructed my ability to look right and left. Cons are busy and Snake Eyes already has a visor in front of his eyes, so do yourself a favor and go with the bigger, single opening.
The one I eventually went with is the ULTRA THIN Lycra BALACLAVA(Black). It was comfortable, didn’t obstruct my vision or breathing and was really, really cheap. The neck was not loose and baggy, so it worked well with the visor and fit around my chin.
NOTE: I have a beard and when I first put on the hood, my whiskers all poked through the lycra. It was hilarious, like little grey and black pine needles sticking through. Be aware that if you have a beard, you might need to shave it down so they don’t stick down.
These are the gloves and hood that I use for my G.I. Joe Snake Eyes cosplay costume.
Get Gloves That Not Only Look Cool, But Work.
Okay, let’s talk gloves.
The ones in the photo above are really cool looking and they go well with the rest of the costume. To be honest, these are my motorcycle gloves and they are broken in and feel really comfortable.
However, I wouldn’t really recommend them for your Snake Eyes cosplay. The reason is because they have no tactile ability in the fingers…which is a fancy way of saying they don’t allow you to operate the touch screen on your phone. This means that every time you want to text a friend or take a photo with your phone, you have to take your gloves off.
For this reason, I will be looking for a new set of gloves to go with both my Snake Eyes and Deathstroke cosplays that will allow me to use my phone. The key is to have a tactile finger pad that activates the touch screen.
If you find a good pair, let me know in a comment and I’ll check them out.
A Comfortable Utility Belt With Pockets And A Leg-Holster Rig That Allows You To Secure The Pistol
Along with the tactical vest, this combo is one of my favorite parts of the costume because it’s comfortable and brings out the bad-ass look of Snake Eyes.
The utility belt is fully adjustable and has several small pockets to hold any small items like your car keys. That can free up your pants pockets for the map of the conference, panel schedules, etc…
The utility belt is sold separately from the holster and is the CONDOR Tactical Belt (Black, Up to 44-Inch Waist).
This utility belt and leg holster are sold separately but work flawlessly together.
The leg holster is fully adjustable to a lot of various leg lengths and allows the pistol to be secured according to the con prop policies. It attaches right to the utility belt in a snap.
The rig that I use is the UTG Elite Tactical Leg Holster,Black (Right Handed). They do offer a left-handed rig for those lefties out there. I’m actually left-handed but shoot right-handed, so I chose the right-handed rig.
Again…I use both the belt and the leg holster in my Deathstroke cosplay, so the investment is worth it.
The Weapons – Pistols, Ammunition, Grenades, Sword, and Scabbard
As I mentioned earlier, cons have really started adjusting their rules about realistic looking weapons. Previously, realistic looking pistols and rifles. Any realistic looking weapon has to be zip-tied securely to the costume in order to be allowed in. Freely-carried realistic rifles/carbines and even swords that could be used as a blunt weapon had to be secured.
The Pistols
As you can see in this image, my pistols were realistic-looking. Even though they are rubber dummy training pistols in an active-shooter situation a police officer might not be able to tell the difference.
Per the con rules, this rubber training pistol is zip-tied into the holster for security reasons.
So, to comply with the rules, I simply zip-tied them in. The prop check security personnel appreciated that I had done this proactively as it reduced the time they had to spend going through my gear.
The pistols that I use are the BladesUSA Rubber Training Gun Black With Orange Tip. They are realistic when unholstered, but it doesn’t really matter to me since they are always secured.
The Sword And Scabbard Should Be Able To Be Adjusted At The Con
The sword is something you really need to understand if you want to be comfortable at the con. For both Deathstroke and Snake Eyes, I used a single sword to keep things simple. Yes…I understand that there are times when both characters use two swords.
However, try navigating a crowded con with two swords sticking out to your sides. You’ll spend a lot of time apologizing to people for bumping into them with a blunt, yet pokey object. {AWKWARD}
So, for convenience, I went with a single sword in a scabbard that is easily adjusted. The adjustment part is important because you might want to sit down at some point. Maybe it’s lunch, or a con panel, or just to rest. With a sword that extends lower than your tailbone, you can’t comfortably sit down.
For this reason, I suggest you get a scabbard that goes OVER your tactical vest (rather than inside of the back of the vest) AND can be locked in place. The scabbard I chose is the Katana Bokken Shinai Foam Sword Mini Nylon Carrying Case.
It’s universal, it’s adjustable, it has clips to latch, unlatch…and it’s inexpensive. Even better, it worked perfectly with the tactical vest to lock it into place.
This is the sword and scabbard combo that I chose. It worked well and allowed me to take it off so I could sit at the con. My cat really wanted to be part of the photo.
The sword is the BladesUSA 1802PP Martial Art Polypropylene Training Equipment 39.25-Inch Overall. It was just the right length and worked perfectly with the scabbard.
One other note, rather than permanently attaching it to the tactical vest, I attached the sword to the scabbard. The prop inspectors at the con said that was okay since the sword couldn’t be removed from the scabbard.
I just passed the zip tie through the Tsuba (the hand guard right above your thumb when holding it) and through the carry strap and it locked it into place.
The Grenades
Snake Eyes is known for carrying grenades, so I wanted to incorporate them into the costume. Again, I had some from Deathstroke, so I zip tied them to the tactical vest and they worked well. Yes…even grenades have to be secured.
The grenades I ordered are the Lot of 4 Kids Toy B/o Grenades. They are plastic and make an annoying tick, tick, tick, boom sound when the lever is pressed, so that had to go. I simply removed the batteries and all was good.
NOTE: Many Cons do not allow props that flash lights or make noise. The prop check officer asked me whether the grenades made noise and I confirmed with him that I had removed the batteries. Be sure to do this prior to going to the con, so you get through prop check quickly.
Be sure to understand the rules regarding weapons at your con. In this case, the grenades could not make any sound and had to be attached to an article of clothing.
The Bullets
The bullets are a minor part of the cosplay costume, but sometimes it’s the details that make the difference. The tactical vest has a spot on the right shoulder for ammunition, so I figured why not fill it up.
The cartridges that I chose are the UHC Revolver 131, 132, 133 BB Shell Set. They are plastic, lightweight, and fit perfectly in the tactical vest holders.
These plastic bullets fit perfectly in the ammunition holder on the tactical vest.
Are they 9mm or .45ACP, which would fit the pistols if they were real? No.
Do I (or anyone else) care? No.
The Clan Insignia
One other important detail for Snake Eyes is his clan insignia. Snake Eyes is a member of the Arashikage clan, along with his brother and nemesis Storm Shadow. The clan has a distinct insignia that is present on each of the version of Snake Eyes.
Sometimes it’s on his shoulder and sometimes it’s on his sword. It just needed to be present.
I added the insignia to the front of the tactical vest where it was prominent. Honestly, I did this with black and red duct tape. I will be redoing this for the next rendition, making it a little nicer looking…maybe a custom patch. For now, this worked great.
This version of the Arashikage clan for Snake Eyes was made with duct tape. I’ll be getting a custom patch for the next round.
The Visor
Okay…if you’re like me, this is the part you really geek out about. All of the previous gear could be bought, but I wanted to make the visor myself. Again, did it turn out perfectly? NO.
Did it work well? Pretty much (more below).
Did people want photos? Yes.
Is there room for improvement. A LOT.
This was the first round and this is the biggest area that I’m going to spend my time improving for the next round. In fact, I loved the concept of the visor so much that I’m going to create a fiberglass version of it so I can re-use it without worrying about the craft foam breaking.
Which it did. Right as I got to the con. GRRRRRR!
So, if you are wondering what the zip ties are in the top of the visor, they are because the screws pulled out of the foam and the visor detached from the headband. Luckily, the fine folks at prop check gave me two zip ties to fix it.
Here we go…steps for creating a Snake Eyes Cosplay visor.
Step 1 – Gather Your Materials
These are the things that I needed to create the visor:
Craft foam
Paper to draw the template
A flexible measuring tape
Sharpie marker
Pen/pencil
Good set of scissors or shears
A sharp utility knife
Mod Podge
Small craft paint brushes
Grey spray paint or primer
Step 2 – Measure Your Head And Create A Template
The first step is to use the flexible measuring tape to measure your head. The goal is to get an idea as to how big you want the visor to be. It’ll help to have another person because you need three hands.
With two fingers resting on your nose, measure the distance from ear-to-ear. The two fingers are going to give you an idea of how far the insider of the visor will be from your face. Don’t worry…nothing is set in concrete yet. This will just give you measurements for your template.
Next, draw out the template and cut it out. After looking at photos online, this is what my template ended up looking like.
This is what my visor template looked like to start.
Tip: When you are cutting out your template, mark which pieces you are going keep and which you are going to remove. The first time I created the template, I cut out the center piece of the visor because I wasn’t paying attention. Ooops!
Step 3 – Use The Template To Cut The Foam
Using the paper template, trace it out on a piece of thick craft foam. The foam I like is from Harbor Freight and it is marketed as Anti-Fatigue Mat Set.
I use this craft foam from Harbor Freight because it is nice and dense and inexpensive. It is marketed as “Anti-Fatigue Mat Set”
This stuff is really easy to cut. For the outer edges, use your scissors, but for the inside pieces, use a good, sharp utility knife. If you place the foam on a thick piece of cardboard, it makes it easy for you to cut all the way through the foam.
Once you have the visor cut out, you should have some thing that looks like this.
NOTE: These photos were taken during my mockup, so the cuts aren’t as clean as the final output. If you aren’t working through a mockup, be sure to make your cuts as clean as possible.
The top is the paper template, the bottom is the visor cut from craft foam
Cut The Center For The Angle
Now that you have the size of the visor set up and the foam cutout, you need to cut it in half. Yes…cut it in half. The reason is because Snake Eyes’ visor is pointed at the front. So, you need to cut it in half and then slightly cut the angles of the edges to they fit together at an angle.
Once you have it cut in half, you should be able to stand it up like this.
Cutting the visor down the middle allows you create the front angle
Next you need to do some cutting to make the pieces come back together. Just go slowly and cut small angles and you’ll do fine. Again, this is why I planned on doing it twice, a rough mockup and then the final. The final angles were easy once I had done it on the rough mockup.
Glue The Front Of The Visor Back Together And Set The Bends
Now that you have the angles cut, just use a hot glue gun to glue the front angles back together. REMEMBER that a little hot glue goes a long way. Don’t glob up the front of your visor with excess hot glue. Later, when you put Mod Podge on the visor, it will help strength the spot that you glued together.
Once the front of the visor is glued back together, the round pieces that go next to your ears are going to be sticking way out. You need to carefully bend them to where they should be and then secure them so they stay there.
TIP: BE PATIENT and let you hot glue fully cool. If you try to bend the visor too soon, you’ll cause the hot glue to release, undoing all your hard work.
To set the bends, I used a small bucket that was just about the same diameter of my head at the ears. I just taped the round parts of the visor to the sides of the bucket. Sounds weird, but it worked. Use a kickball, a watermelon…whatever has the same diameter as your head.
Apologies that I didn’t take a photo of this step. It seemed kinda silly when I was doing it, but it worked great and “set the bends” of the visor.
TIP: If you have issues bending your craft foam, just heat it with a heat gun or a hair dryer on high. Heating up the foam will make it flex easier. Just DON’T overheat it.
Paint On The Mod Podge To Hold It In Place
With the front of the visor glued together and the bends set, it’s time to paint on the Mod Podge so the bends stay there all by themselves and the front visor angle is strengthened
If you are a crafter or hobby cosplayer, you probably already have Mod Podge. This stuff is basically like white glue, but it hardens and keeps craft foam in place. It can be sanded and painted. I cover all my craft foam creations in it.
Tip: It’s called “Mod Podge” not “Modge Podge” or “Hodge Podge”. You can get this stuff at Wal-Mart or any big box craft store.
Mod Podge is great for making sure your craft foam stays where you want it.
As you can see in the background of the photo above, I set the angle of the front of the visor and then started painting it with three layers of Mod Podge, spaced 30 minutes apart. After the third layer, the visor stayed where I wanted it and I un-taped the back circles from the bucket and gave them three layers of Mod Podge, as well.
Paint It To Color
Once the Mod Podge has fully cured and the visor stays where you want it, it’s time to start painting. Since my craft foam was grey and I wanted to visor to be grey, I just hit it with a coating of grey primer to knock down the shine of the Mod Podge. One coat did exactly what I wanted.
This grey paint+primer took the shine off the visor after applying the Mod Podge.
Add Household Screen To Hide Your Eyes
Once you have let the visor dry, you should have a pretty cool looking visor that fits the shape of your head. Take some photos in the mirror…you’ll look bad ass!
One thing I noticed when I was looking in the mirror is that you could see my eyes. Since I wanted my Snake Eyes cosplay to be mysterious, I decided to pickup some window tint and glue it behind the visor.
Bad idea.
The window tint was waaay to dark and would have made it tough to navigate the con.
Instead, I just used a piece of household screen that I had used on another project. I cut it to size and used hot glue to secure it to the back of the visor. I know, the hot glue looks kind of crappy in the photo below, but no one else ever saw it but me.
The cool thing is this totally worked. I could see just fine, but people couldn’t see my eyes.
Attach It To The Headband
Now that you have a cool, mysterious visor the next step is to secure it to a headband. I picked up this Magnifier with headstrap and lights from Harbor Freight. It was on sale for $2.99 so I figured it was worth a try.
It worked….well…kinda.
After cutting it down and securing it to the headband with screws, all seemed to be good. That was until I got to the con. I made a couple of adjustments and the screws pulled through the foam. GRRRRR.
So, I had to use a couple of zip ties at the con to hold everything in place, which worked fine.
Did anyone point out the zip ties? Nope.
Did people still want photos? Yep.
Did it work good enough? Yep.
Will I be figuring out another option? Definitely.
The Outcome
Nice job getting this far. If you have read through all this (or at least scrolled through it), here’s what you were probably hunting for.
Perfect? No.
Am I proud enough of it to spend 3 hours putting together these instructions? You betcha.
And I hope they help inspire some potentially bad-ass Snake Eyes cosplays.
My Next Steps
These are the things I’m going to work on for the next evolution:
Incorporate knee and elbow pads and maybe some armor made from craft foam
Re-build the visor using a fiberglass mold process to create a REALLY amazing visor. This visor was also a little big, so I’m going to size it down just a little bit.
Create a derivative that uses goggles and a mask like this one

Final Thoughts
This was a fun one to put together and I will definitely be evolving it. Better visor, a few tweaks and tunes, and Snake Eyes will be back at the cons!
If you found this helpful, let me know with a comment. If you created a Snake Eyes cosplay or Halloween costume based on these instructions, shoot me a note with a link to a photo, I’d love to see it and add it to the post.
I will also be working on instructions for Deathstroke, Joel and Ellie from the Last of Us, and maybe even some Harley Quinn (including a full bazooka) instructions.
Just for a tease, here’s a little sneak preview of the bazooka work in progress.

Spooky Times
Welcome to October! It’s a week in and for the first post of the season I have ten new sets for you, most of which are pretty spooktacular if I do say so myself.
We begin this post in a similar position to where we left off the last time we spoke with our own Cosmic Daughter: Brittny Nicole. Brittny and I had been planning this shoot really since our very first one out in the desert. For this shoot I travelled out to Idyllwild with Brittny and her boyfriend Max (who was kind enough to shoot some BTS for us). This set is of course really epic because Brittny and I don’t know how to do otherwise. I don’t want to say TOO MUCH but I will say “Slime booty” and leave it at that.
Up next is another new set with my POC Miss Chaos in an impromptu journey. There’s an abandoned pool I’ve had my eye for some time and well the timing just happened to be right a few weeks ago. Miss Chaos is also a big fan of abandoned places so I knew she would be perfect for mission. Our only intention was the pool but we later found ourselves at the new store of my old employer The Stockroom. The Stockroom’s new Echo Park location was once an old mechanic’s shop so that was pretty cool!
Our adventures continue with the return of The Goddess Chelsea Hanes. Those that follow me closely know Chelsea is a close friend of mine that moved to Portland last year. She hit me up that she was coming down to LA so we set up a shoot. I took Chelsea to The Scary Dairy in Camarillo. Normally when I go to the Scary Dairy its pretty easy to get in to as large parts of the fencing are torn down. Well apparently they fixed them just recently. Not to be deterred we decided to hop off the fence anyway. It was totally worth it as you can see the photos came out great, but the adventure was harrowing. On the way to hop the fence out I caught my septum ring on the fence, bending it in half, and nearly ripping it out of my face. Needless to say I will not be hopping any fences anytime soon. Of course it was wonderful reconnecting with Chelsea.
Things take a turn for the spooky with a brand new set featuring Cosplay Queen Fablechan. I once again venture deep in to Orange County to shoot with the homegirl. She showed me some really cool locations and we got pretty spooky/sexy with our surroundings (artistically speaking of course). Always love shooting with Fablechan and I think we had some real fun experimenting with double exposures and some weird Pineagrams inside of this cool tunnel.
From one weirdo that I love to another is the return of Girlwolf Cindy Clark after her successful surgery. Cindy has had a tumor in her leg for years. Though it was benign, it was causing her great pain and precluding her from a lot of physical activity including running (which she’s done all her life). Cindy finally got the insurance company to approve the surgery after a very long fight. Well after two months of recovery time she was itching to get back out there and shoot. Funny enough I had the shoots with Fablechan and Cindy scheduled on back-to-back days unbeknownst to anyone but me. Over the weekend before the shoots I received a text from Fablechan featuring a picture of the two of them together. It turned out they met one another for the first time at a Dolls Kill audition and snapped a pic for me!
Cindy and I met up in Downtown and shot at some of my favorite grungy spots in the Arts District as well as finding this really cool abandoned garage that lent itself to some photos. We had a great time catching up and being dumb. We attempted to shoot on one rooftop before being thwarted by security but made our way on to a better rooftop, so how’s that for you? All I can really is that when Cindy and I shoot together it’s nothing but punk rock.
The abandoned pool shoot with Miss Chaos from earlier in the post was impromptu but this trip to Santa Barbara was not. Miss Chaos and I had been planning a trip to Santa Barbara to visit the famous Knapp’s Castle. The trip was a bit of an emotional rollercoaster as we kept driving through all this beautiful fog only to have it wind up super sunny where we were (whatever!). We started off by visiting this cool/weird water tower up in the mountains. I was very unhappy without fucking bright and hot it was but I still think we got some cool photos.
From there we headed to Knapp’s Castle which was SPECTACULAR. Knapp’s Castle if the remains of an old mansion in the mountains up past Santa Barbara. Sadly we saw a bunch of construction equipment and materials around, and though it didn’t seem like they were tearing it down, it definitely seems like they are building something around it, so we felt extra lucky we could visit. Miss Chaos put together some really fun looks and we even got an assist from Chelsea Hanes who let me borrow one of her Spirit Sugar Clip-in hair wraps.
We finished the evening by getting some delicious local food followed by our last location at the Santa Barbara pier. It was an exhausting day and an epic shoot.
After my journey so far out I wanted to keep things kind of local for the next shoot with the spooky Sarah Seraine. Sarah flexed her makeup skills with a rad black metal look (fitting that Sarah is in fact a metalhead). Sarah did an amazing job with her makeup that really set the tone for the whole shoot. We adventured around the industrial perimeter of Downtown LA and discovered some really haunting spots and finished off in Chinatown. Normally Sarah loves to be nude or nearly nude but I think we pulled off a killer set showing a slightly different side of Sarah.
The spookfest continued in overdrive with a brand new featuring Sage Sin. Unless I told you it was Sage you might not know it as she went full Michael Myers for this shoot. During our last shoot Sage and I joked it would be fun to do a shoot with Michael Myers doing some silly things. On the day of the shoot I remembered that the house from the original Halloween is actually really close to my house so we shot over there a bit, followed by Lori’s house, and then we got in to some really silly stuff around Pasadena.
For our second to last set of the post I want to introduce new muse Watermelon Waifu! Ms. Waifu is a good friend of Fablechan and requested a shoot together. I took Watermelon to my fav spot, Switzer Falls. I hadn’t been to Switzer in a minute so I was happy to get out in to woods. We had a fun time and she put together some really cute and spooky looks. We talked serial killers, music, and essentially all things spooky.
Finally we end things with a set I’ve been wanting to shoot for a while: The return of Alondra Excene Shields! Alondra is always a favorite muse and human being of mine. We consistently make killer stuff together. Unfortunately Alondra is also a busy bee and we hadn’t been able to line our schedules up again since our last shoot during Easter! Of course we couldn’t let the spooky times go by without a shoot. Also I had been wanting to shoot Alondra badly since she shaved her head. Alondra suggested we go to Switzer to get those spooky vibes going. Alondra is actually the one that introduced me to Switzer Falls in the first place so I was happy for the sequel. She brought some really creepy outfits including a series of masks made by her friend Graham Schofield. This shoot was completely different than our previous Switzer shoot and maybe our best one yet. Thanks again for checking out my work with these rad ladies and until next time, enjoy!

This week’s featured cosplayer is someone that we wanted to feature for a long time! Her name is Waifutella and she builds some of the most impressive cosplay but if you as her, she will say she is just the world’s okayest cosplayer. Temple of Geek has reached out to Waifutella to chat about her cosplay to which she graciously accepted. Continue on to learn about her cosplay, her fandoms, and her love for Nutella.
(Danniel Slade) Can you start off by telling me a little bit about yourself?
(Waifu Tella) I’m afraid there’s not really much to say! I’m a lot more boring than people give me credit for. I’m a full time student, cosplayer, and huge hecking nerd.
(DS) Okay, I need to ask. What does your cosplay name, Waifutella, mean and how did you come up with it?
(WT) Waifutella is a combination of two words- the first being “waifu” (a term that anime fans know well). A waifu is a character who is so perfect you would snatch her up in a hot second and marry her if you could. The second word is nutella- anyone who follows me knows how much I adore it. It’s a bit of an addiction actually- I eat it straight from the jar, on the daily.
(DS) Why do you use the subtitle “world’s okayest cosplayer?”
(WT) *burts out singing Ingrid Michaelson’s “I just want to be okay”
I don’t do well with compliments. I’m a vending machine, compliments are a wrinkly dollar bill- it’s just really frustrating and uncomfortable for everyone involved. When I wore my first real cosplay (Bucky Barnes) to a convention and later posted pics on Instagram, people were complimenting it left and right, and I would insist that my work was at best okay. One of my friends joked that I was the “world’s okayest cosplayer” and… it just stuck ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
(DS) What fandoms are you into?
(WT) Marvel (cinematic and comics) is definitely my go-to, particularly Captain America, Captain Marvel, and both Hawkeyes. I also adore Blizzard Games, (Overwatch/StarCraft II/Diablo III) No Game No Life, Welcome to Night Vale, the Tolkeinverse, HP (hufflepride!), The Witcher, Doctor Who, Legend of Zelda and Kingdom Hearts.
(DS) When did you get into cosplay?
(WT) My friend and I went to our first con together-SDCC- and all of our information about conventions was gathered through Tumblr posts. They made it seem like everyone there cosplayed, and I didn’t want to be the only person left out, so I brought along my Halloween costume. When we got there, it seemed like hardly anybody else was dressed up, but I had a lot of fun! So I kept doing it, and I’ve found it to be a really great and diverse creative outlet as well as a great way to make new friends. Excluding Halloween costumes, it’s been a little over two years now!
(DS) How do you choose what you are going to create for cosplay?
(WT) I’ve actually recently changed my entire approach to this. I used to make cosplays for characters that I liked well enough and weren’t a huge financial burden to make (textbooks aren’t as fun as cosplay, but they’re definitely my priority.). Nowadays, I need to be a hardcore fan of the character and the design. I’m tying to put a lot more craftsmanship and technique into my work; so I try to choose characters that I love enough to spend repeated all nighters working on. It means I haven’t had a steady stream of new content, but I’m a lot more excited to show everyone what I’ve accomplished!
(DS) In total, how many costumes have you created over the years?
(WT) Oh heck. Definitely more than seven. Ummm… I’ve done quite a few, and about half of those were so awful that they’ve never been shown to the internet (and they never will)
(DS) Do you have a favorite costume that you want to wear over and over?
(WT) I would love nothing more than to wear the winter soldier over and over again, but last time I was in it, I broke the elbow! So, sadly, it will have to wait until I can make a new arm.
(DS) What was your easiest build?
(WT) My easiest build was definately the punisher. I grabbed my gun, shoes and shorts from the winter soldier, roughed up and old pleather jacket, added paneling to the sleeves for aesthetic, and painted his logo on a T-shirt. That, plus wig styling, took the better part of an afternoon.
(DS) Now on the flip side, what was your hardest build?
(WT) My most difficult build- I would have to say it’s a tie between two characters. I’ve been working on Captain America and on Twilight Princess for the better part of a year, but every time I finish, I put it on and decide it’s not good enough to represent them properly. So I’ve remade them each at least six times. I think I’ve got them pretty much set this time around, though, so hopefully I can show the final versions off soon.
(DS) What is your favorite convention to cosplay at?
(WT) I think it’s going to be Blizzcon! Last year I went for the first time, and I didn’t really cosplay for it but it was such an amazing convention, it felt like home. I’ve got big plans for Blizzcon 2018, I’ve been working on the cosplays for months now- they’re definately my hugest builds yet.
(DS) Do you have a funny or embarrassing story that you are willing to share that happened while in cosplay?
(WT) So, my second time wearing my Winter Soldier cosplay at SDCC, it got a lot of attention. I was being stopped for photos left and right. Since people may not actually know you, they have a tendency to shout out your character’s name to get your attention (as its a lot more effective than shouting out “hey you” or “cosplayer!!” in a crowded con) I kind of got into it that year, whenever someone would shout out “Bucky” I would turn around and reply as best as I could in character, “Who the h*ll is Bucky?” People loved it. In the evening my friends and I went out for dinner- still in cosplay, and I was still getting pressed for photos left and right. I was waiting at the bar to get a drink and when I heard someone say “Bucky” I grabbed my airsoft rifle, turned around, gave the guy my best winter soldier deadpan and delivered my line, hand resting on the trigger. His face drained and he stammered out “my girlfriend..” turns out he was on a business trip and he and his friend were just grabbing dinner after a day at the office and he was telling his coworker about his girlfriend Becky. He had no idea what Comiccon was and had never even heard of my character. I felt awful! I ended up buying him and his friend a drink as my way of apologizing and reassuring him I wasn’t going to pelt them with airsoft bullets.

(DS) Are you affiliated with any cosplay groups?
(WT) I’m not with any official groups, but I’m part of the @Cosplay_And_Babes Instagram family! I’m also a page model for @Hotandgeeky (also on the Instagram), and I’m definitely an advocate for @butternut_gouache’s #ForceAgainstCyberBullying campaign.
(DS) Looking back at your early cosplay years, is there anything you would tell yourself that you know now that you didn’t know then?
(WT) I’d tell myself not to wear a cosplay that I’m not 100% passionate about. There was a really brief period where I’d make a new costume for the sake of new social media content, and eventually I started getting pressured into wearing specific cosplays because “it would get you more Instagram followers” or “your followers would like that more.” The moment I let that last one start to effect me I had to take a break from cosplay and think about a few things. And honestly? It’s ridiculous that it was even pressured on me to do so. The people who advised that were 100% trying to help me out in their own way and I don’t harbor any resentment towards them for it, but catering to strangers on the internet isn’t me. I’m not getting paid to do this, I don’t have a Patreon, and I’m not here to try to get famous. I’m here to dress up like fictional characters and have fun with my friends, and I shouldn’t let anything influence that.
(DS) Do you have a cosplay that you consider empowering to wear?
(WT) Definately steve.
(DS) What is on your cosplay bucket list?
(WT) I’d love to cosplay every version of Captain America, Bucky Barnes and Peggy Carter one day.
(DS) Outside of cosplay, what do you do for fun?
(WT) I never have fun I’m too focused on my GPA! But okay, I also do archery, play video games and collect vinyl records.
(DS) Are there any other cosplayers that inspire you?
(WT) My best friend Mikky (@mikkydyer on the Insta, Internet do your thing) is a huge inspiration for me. I actually adapted my pants for Captain America and my new version of HydraCap and my upcoming Captain America cosplay from her work. Mikky is absolutely amazing, the craftsmanship and attention to detail she puts into each cosplay astounds me. As someone who never learned how to properly sew (I usually just put fabric in front of a machine and pray it doesn’t fall apart as I’m wearing it… yes that has happened before.) it’s really amazing to see people who put in proper technique and methods into their craft. Besides, she’s not just an inspiration to my cosplay, she’s an inspiration to my daily life, she’s without a doubt one of the best people I have ever had the privilege to meet, and the honor to call my friend.
(DS) What is your next convention that fans will see you at?
(WT) I really only go to one or two conventions a year- between school and finances, it gets rather difficult to do more than that- I’ll be at Blizzcon this November, and after that the only thing that I guarantee is SDCC 2019.
(DS) What would you say to someone who might want to build their first costume but don’t know how to get started?
(WT) Research the heck out of it! You can never find too much information on how to do something. Look at tutorials for characters with similar designs, different tutorials for the same pieces, research the materials you use, try to see how a bunch of other people have done it and use their methods to find what works best for you! And be sure to hit up your local thrift store (I’m partial to goodwill) and see if they have any pieces you can buy for your costume. There’s more than one way to make a cosplay. I started writing a series on my Tumblr page about cosplay research and building.
(DS) How can our readers find out more about you?
(WT) On Instagram @waifutella, On Twitter @waifutella, On Tumblr at waifutella.tumblr.com and on Kofi (bonus content) ko-fi.com/waifutella!

karups babes - Life, Death and Amateur Picture Galleries
So, once I arrived and the event started I not only spent some time swiping matches on Tinder but also posted in a couple of other places to see whether anyone in the area was at or near the event. As it was just a one day event I wasnt holding out much hope of any encounters but was at least determined to try and see what, if anything, cropped up.
tt/2kxxyVt), kitting myself out in a maids outfit, with a short skirt and white thigh-high socks. He was also in cosplay - as the 11th Doctor - and once he saw my outfit he was quick to compliment me on how much he loved it, and from there it wasnt long until the conversation turned sexual. As it happened, it was one of those other apps that brought me luck - someone sent me a message letting me know that they were also at the convention, and after a quick chat we both swapped pictures of ourselves. As were both at the event alone, after some more discussion we decided to meet up and see if anywhere caught our eye, and so agreed on a meeting place and headed to meet one another. He was only a couple of years older than me, not much taller, and with short, curly hair and a slightly heavier build that didnt make him an ideal 11th Doctor - still, he wasnt unattractive either, and so I bounded up and said hi before we talked for a little where we were. My outfit of choice for the day was my second time dressing as Rem from Re:Zero (http://ift. Its been a boring and frustrating start to the year, but at last this weekend brought about the years first Comic Con for me, meaning a trip across the country, a Friday night staying at a friends house who happened to live pretty close to the convention, and then an early start on Saturday morning to get changed into cosplay and jump onto a local train for the event. " he asked, prompting us to get moving and get down to business. "Shall we go for a walk and find somewhere? Beyond the odd snippet of conversation or suggestion for where to look we didnt talk much, a silent mix of nerves and excitement in the air instead. Neither of us had a place nearby we could go to, so plans instead switched to whether there was anywhere else out of the way we could slip away to. After walking through the event hall and realising thered be nowhere suitable there, and dismissing the idea of trying to do anything in the packed toilets, we instead headed out through the main entrance and headed away from the crowds towards the further reaches of the conventional hall building. Eventually we came around the far side of the building and found a deserted area - away from all of the loading bays and staff entrances, and next to a main road but sheltered from it by a thick lining of trees and hedges. Moving over to the most sheltered part of this area, we stopped against the wall of the building, and after another awkward moment he asked if it was okay to kiss me. After nodding my assent, I was soon pressed against the metal wall of the convention centre as he started to karup pussy kiss me, carefully at first then with increasing intensity. A couple of months of frustration and our public location meant that going slow wasnt in my mind - I wanted to feel pleasure from someone elses efforts, so responded with a question of my own. "This looks quiet" I suggested, and after some hesitating and nervously looking around for a flaw in our plan we decided to throw any further caution to the wind and just go for it. "What do you want me to do? "Would you like to lick my pussy? Kissing each of my thighs a few times, I felt him using his fingers to hook my blue and white striped knickers to one side, and to assist him I slightly awkwardly leaned back against the building so that I could lift one leg and drape it over his shoulder. It was a simple but effective tactic that was giving me the stimulation I needed, and it must only have been five minutes before I was moaning, moving my hips and grinding against his face, holding my short skirt up average naked girl pics as I urged him on, still awkwardly standing with one leg over his shoulder. With so many Doctor Who cosplayers around I nearly had a false alarm and went to introduce myself to the wrong person, but realised my mistake in the nick of time and eventually found the guy Id been talking to. My needs soon turned into arousal, and I could feel my wetness increasing as he pushed his face harder into my crotch, concentrating solely on licking, sucking and teasing my clit with his lips and tongue while his hands squeezed and kneaded my behind through my knickers as he pulled me into his face. " "Id love to" was his response, and with that he was soon getting onto his knees in front of me, his hands running excitedly up my legs, beyond the tops of my socks and over my thighs, pushing up my skirt with first his hands then his head. " he asked after breaking the kiss, putting me in charge of how things progressed. This gave him the easier access he needed to pull my knickers aside, and I quickly felt his tongue seeking out and eventually finding my clit as I sighed happily at the sensation. " was his next question, and nodding I picked up my back which Id set on the floor beside us and fished one out to hand to him. "Do you wanna turn around? Almost falling as I pushed him away and tried to unhook my leg at the same time as the sensation became too great - I practically hopped on the spot until I could untangle myself and get back to a proper standing position, while he picked himself up off the ground with a wet, smiling face. Satisfied that I was ready, I then felt his cock pressing and teasing up and down my lips. After a few moments I felt my skirt being pushed up around my hips, before fingers reached into the waistband of my knickers as they were tugged quickly down around my knees. "Do you have a condom? Sadly, the whole thing was over rather briefly, and after a few minutes of this fast and relatively hard fucking I felt him press deep into my and gasp a few times as he came. He pulled out and pulled off the condom while I pulled my knickers back up over my soaking pussy, before he talked about how much hed enjoyed it. I shuffled my feet and shifted position to stand a little taller, spread my legs a little wider and press my backside out towards him a little more - this gave him the access that he needed to slowly, carefully push his cock into me while I grunted at the feel of a penis inside me for the first time this year. Picking up my bag, we walked back around the event building as we cooled off in the freezing air, eventually finding ourselves back at the entrance. Once Id had my fill of the day I headed back to my friends house on the train to change just as she was heading out to work for the evening. " he enquired as he ripped open the packet, and knowing what he wanted I dutifully turned around and leaned forward, placing my hands against the icy cold metal structure of the building which also reminded me of how freezing cold the day was, although it hadnt bothered me to that point as my mind had been elsewhere. Then I felt one hand on my ass, while the other reached between my legs to run a finger up and down my pussy lips to test my wetness. The match in question is supposed to be arriving here in 20 minutes as I write this, so I had just enough time to recount this story before hopefully heading off on another crazy adventure! He gripped me tighter with his hands and attacked my clit with even more gusto in response, and I was soon panting and groaning which turned into yelps as I came. Once he was inside me, a few slow thrusts soon gave way to a quick, fast fuck - his need for release clearly mirrored my own just minutes before, as rather than making things last he held my hips and thrust rapidly against me as I braced myself against the wall, head down and moaning from his movements inside me. My plan was simply to change, shower and then head home myself, but another Tinder match might have just changed those plans. We hung out a little longer as we re-entered the event, but found ourselves with little in common or to talk about - eventually he was the first to make his excuses, and I waved him off as he thanked me some more, at least a little more satisfied than when I started. If you have any issues relating to exactly where and how to use karup pussy, you can call us at the web site.

The Most Ridiculous Cosplay and Comedian-Con Fails
New Post has been published on https://takenews.net/the-most-ridiculous-cosplay-and-comedian-con-fails/
The Most Ridiculous Cosplay and Comedian-Con Fails
From Superman to Batman and the X-Males, everybody loves Comedian-Con occasions. The cool costumes, the fastidiously thought our cosplay themes, the…What? That woman appears nothing like Marvel Lady, and that MAN definitely higher not be Princess Leia. Let’s take a very good take a look at these cosplay and Comedian-Con fails.
I gotta admit, whereas that is cute in a extremely unhappy kind of manner, I don’t suppose the Implausible 4’s “Factor” character would respect this pitiful try at cloning. Although I’m curious how he obtained the styrofoam to stay, I don’t suppose I actually need to know. Comedian-Con Fail!
That is really an authentic thought, I suppose. I’ve by no means seen anybody attempt to cosplay a VHS tape cassette earlier than. And I’m sure I by no means need to see it tried once more. Is the child attempting to channel his interior “Ariel”? Is he attempting to channel all of the characters without delay? Does he want for an easier time? I’m shocked that somebody his age even is aware of what a VHS tape is.
“Sailor Moon” wants a shave. Badly. A minimum of she’s courageous sufficient to let the world know she’s most undoubtedly NOT an actual blonde. I at all times thought these anime characters have been a bit too clean-cut for their very own good. This simply proves the purpose. To all mother and father: be taught to worry this character.
“Jigglypuff,” the deranged pink Pokémon appears nothing like this pink..factor you see beneath. And why would he be so low-cost about it anyway? Why would he go to all the difficulty of dressing up like a spherical, pink Pokémon a extreme consideration deficit dysfunction, however run out of pink make-up earlier than he might do his face?.
“Jessie” from Pokémon’s “Group Rocket” is such a show-off. She’ll do something to remain within the limelight. This one appears like she simply got here off the set of VH1’s “Behind the Music.” On that episode, she’ll in all probability clarify that she makes use of a physique double for all scenes and she or he simply voices the character, for apparent causes.
I’ve been telling folks for years that Pokemon’s “Misty” was this man I do know named Travis. Nicely, at present the reality lastly got here out. I heard Travis was came upon due to his dependancy to body-hugging yellow tank tops. He stored going into the lads’s altering room at Goal to attempt them on and the remaining is historical past.
Are you able to think about this “Cat Lady(?)” beneath slinking round your property in search of a bowl of milk? Its always-dirty intestine dragging on the ground or grass all day lengthy? I’d lure it with some catnip to it’s scratching publish whereas I hid in a closet with my aluminum bat. 20 minutes later Cat Lady would have a brand new dwelling within the nation. I’d stuff the bizarre turtle with cheese to present the cat some firm.
I noticed this one on the Discovery Channel the opposite day. It’s a prehistoric Comedian-Con model of Spider-Man. Its extinction was discovered to be induced not by the large meteorite which worn out so many dinosaurs on the identical time, however as a result of it was too massive to climb, and was too heavy for its internet to help it after falling right into a prehistoric field of Cheetos.
Crimson ziplock over the top however, this cosplay isn’t all that unhealthy. And by that I imply on a scale of Chernobyl, I’d quite be caught in a tsunami. This isn’t a lot Indignant Hen as Insane Hen. Hell, If I noticed this one climbing a tree, I’d throw this boy at a wall whether or not he requested me to or not.
See what is going to gene splicing get you at Comedian-Con? One offended Wolverine combined with a extremely, actually outdated and fairly probably dementia-laden banana. This isn’t gonna go down nicely at this man’s retirement dwelling. I’m curious as to why a banana would paint on underwear, nevertheless it’s actually none of my enterprise.
So the opposite day, I used to be strolling down the road simply window purchasing when lo and behold, I see a few Wolverines on the counter of my native Krispy Kreme. Now I believed to myself, I suppose superheroes get hungry too. Till I spotted there was just one Wolverine on the counter. And it was hungry….
I believed this was a clip of RuPaul’s Drag Race once I first noticed it, lol. I’m so foolish. I suppose Aquaman determined to return out of the ocean at Comedian-Con. I do suppose the gold starfish necklace units off his eyes, although. And people chiffon fins are to DIE for!! I have to get the identify of this man’s designer.
I admit I don’t know what this factor is meant to be. So I’ve determined it’s that Pikachu character from Pokémon. Really, I’m calling it the Pokémon that ATE Pikachu. And Pikachu’s different Pokémon associates. And Group Rocket. OK, it ate Ash, Misty, and Brock too. Glad??
Not gonna say one phrase about this strapping, younger Comedian-Con man’s portrayal of his favourite character “Colossus.” Nope, I’m not even gonna mess together with his huge toes or how badly he wants a tan. However I WILL say this; That excellent, strategically positioned object that’s between his legs is greater than sufficient to make me snicker all day lengthy!
I do know Darth Vader has a tough job. You recognize, operating his mighty empire, managing sufficient GoFundMe accounts to consistently exchange these costly Dying Stars, and so on. However Darth, actually, you could eat one thing. Something. I swear, the very last thing I noticed you eat was that hand you chopped off, lol.
I do love Marvel Lady. Too unhealthy this isn’t her. Don’t you acknowledge the hairdo?? That is actually Marvel Lady’s stunt double. She’s shy, that’s why she’s nonetheless sporting a pair of these “Relies upon” underneath her Marvel Bottoms. Wouldn’t desire a “Paris Hilton” to occur at Comedian-Con when she steps out of that limo now, would we?
Don’t I do know you? Wait, I do know you. You have been at my good friend’s wedding ceremony. Yep, you have been the ring bearer!! I knew it. I always remember a stomach button. Or Tub Salt glazed-over eyes. So, you at the moment are a girl huh? Cool. I really suppose you look higher now as Storm, mutant climate mistress. Superman is just for weddings anyway.
I like to consider this Comedian-Con man because the Flash that slowed down. Method down. Within the comics, after all, Flash has to eat plenty of energy with a view to be all tremendous speedy. This Flash merely fell right into a stoop. Or possibly a vat stuffed with doughnut glaze. I’m unsure.
I nonetheless do not forget that first Star Wars film from the Seventies. Nicely, I keep in mind Leia. What a magnificence, I believed. So swish, and what a physique! As you see above, Leia appears simply as nice as she did all these years in the past. Certain, all of us get just a little bushy once in a while as we age. However Leia nonetheless has that rocking physique, and what a rack!!
Metal physique, nigh indestructible, tremendous energy. Sadly, this cosplay man doesn’t have any of these qualities. However he may very well be taking part in Colossus’ uncle, “Reynold’s Wrap” I suppose. One who apparently wants some low-cost Spec Savers glasses to battle super-villians and such. No use preventing when you may’t see with out squinting, lol.
Everybody is aware of Deadpool has a Marvel Lady fetish. I for one am so blissful he’s let it out. OK, he didn’t let it out precisely. These are pics from his hacked Google Drive account, posted to Comedian-Con. It’s true, and I’m not ashamed to publish them both. It’s time to point out heroes how they are surely.
It is a Comedian-Con tragedy, nothing extra, nothing much less. That is Iceman after a few doobies in the midst of a heatwave. For medical causes, after all. Very like Michael Phelps used to do. I simply thought it is best to know what the true Iceman is like when he’s a, nicely, 7-11 slurpy.
Nicely, what do we’ve got right here? I see the Iron Man animated collection’ character has by some means come to life. Nonetheless made largely of paper I see. And that blue repulsor ray coming from his has is mighty intimidating too. And what’s this? I didn’t know Pillsbury had a brand new mascot at Comedian-Con. The extra you recognize…
Worst. CosPlay. Ever. This appears just like the porno model of “Human Centipede.” Why would anybody do that to themselves? I wouldn’t even do this in non-public, lol. All this for fifteen minutes of fame? And I guess at the very least two of them will run for Congress sometime. Their mother and father have to be elated.
Sonic the Hedgehog by no means appeared extra emaciated. Clearly, he’s fallen on exhausting occasions and never consuming repeatedly. Nonetheless, I see he’s protecting his spirits up together with his well-known finger stance. Bless him. The identical factor can’t be mentioned for poor R2-D2 although. It appears as if he’s nonetheless doing the lingerie gig for stag events simply to make ends meet. Fortunately he has no genitalia.
A lot as I just like the present, doing CosPlay out of “The Simpsons” is a bit suicidal. Mr. Burns’ taped-on nostril is unhappy sufficient, however a stuffed and soiled tube sock strapped to his head? And this offensive Homer? Give any fats man only one Duff beer and so they all seem like this, lol.
These CosPlay fails solely come down to 1 query: Which Lara Croft would you quite? Personally, I’d take “Castrated Lara” on the proper. I merely love the voice that comes out of a eunuch. Heavenly. Plus it appears like he might do loads of housekeeping and maintain the garden manageable too. And he in all probability has no real interest in the rest.
Bruce Banner have to be kidding himself if he thinks he’s actually the Hulk. Perhaps he typically simply turns inexperienced with out turning into the Hulk? Nicely, he definitely doesn’t appear to be scary anybody. Not even that child within the stroller is intimidated. This 90 pound Hulk is fortunate the birds aren’t taking a poop on him.
Everybody need to be Leia at Comedian-Con. I don’t get it, however I settle for it. The costumes are OK, however why so a lot of them? This jogs my memory of the newer model of “Battlestar Galactica.” The model the place the Cylons don’t die, they’re merely resurrected. And I didn’t need to say something, however isn’t that Hillary on the left??
Mountain folks, I imply the deep-woods form, have to have heroes too. Sure, even the inbred. That is what would occur if Superman had landed within the mountains of Virginia. I can think about him being raised by “Banjo Boy” and the remainder of his household from Deliverance. Yep, raised on hog jowls, squirrels, and the occasional Tasmanian Satan and given a sixth-grade training. This one is admittedly tremendous.
Maybe his energy lies in his unimaginable top. He’s in a position to run underneath any car standing straight up. He’s so highly effective he’s in a position to flip again time (at the very least when he listens to that Cher track) and area. And don’t overlook that fantastic cape. Rumor is he solely makes use of the factor as a safety blanket, however I’m not shopping for it.
Ariel, you’re trying so…match. Yeah, actually. Did you modify your coiffure or one thing? I see you’re nonetheless rising that beard so you may donate hair to sick youngsters. Nicely, I believe that’s nice. Me? Nothing a lot. I used to be heading in to take a look at 12 Monkeys. I hear it’s fairly good. You too? Cool. Hm? Oh. Umm, no pricey. You possibly can’t eat them. It’s not a restaurant. Is that why you’ve obtained a ginormous fork in your hand?
OK, this man is killing it with the Ku Klux Klan Grand Wizard CosPlay outfit. He’ll have the ability to put the worry of the Almighty into…What? He’s not a caucasian? However what in regards to the hood? It’s only a ceramic painter’s pot he obtained from HomeDepot? Oh. Nicely, by no means thoughts.
It takes a quite courageous individual to combine meals into their very own hair. I can think about a swarm of honey bees coming for “Leia” proper now; her, attempting to battle them off along with her Nerf water pistol, trying to run (nicely, possibly waddle) into the closest spaceship or cave (or Circle Ok) for cover.
I’m questioning why EVERYONE seated is ignoring this man? Are they frightened that in the event that they make eye contact he’ll ask them for some spare change? “Magneto” right here has by no means appeared extra appalling than this. And what’s with the Boy Scout knot that he’s utilizing on his Salvation Military Retailer sheet? And please, a jock strap for a helmet?
I’m simply gonna say it and stand my floor: I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the primary 4 phrases on the signal. I’ll go no additional. So, what’s up with the new chick? What’s her expression imagined to imply? At first, I believed she is perhaps drugged and wanted help. Now I suppose she’s kind of hinting that for the correct of “compensation” she’ll pose with ANYONE at Comedian-Con.
Think about, if you’ll, your baby’s sixth celebration. You’ve invited all your child’s associates, obtained all of the presents and employed the leisure so that you and the opposite mother and father can seize a couple of cocktails whereas the brats are distracted. You rocked this get together and you recognize it. Then the leisure exhibits up: Spiderman’s Nice Grandfather. Wrinkly as all hell, can’t even put on a masks as a result of he’s too outdated to breathe filtered air, and needs money upfront. The youngsters scream, some even begin to vomit once they see his scalp transfer by itself. You and the remainder of the mother and father simply get one other cocktail.
Am I the one one who get dizzy this over-stuffed Spiderman costume? I imply, I’m certain the man desires to play superhero with all of his associates however couldn’t mommy get him one thing that will match? This factor appears just like the digital camera is on LSD or one thing.
Simply take a look at the pitiful expression on the younger man beneath. Would YOU be impressed with this Cosplay try? Hell, I’d be suicidal too if all I needed to put on to the large Cosplay get together was a cardboard field that I in all probability needed to battle a rabid homeless individual for.

West Week Ever: Pop Culture In Review - 6/23/17
It’s gonna be a quick one this week, as I’ve got too much real life stuff going on. Plus, there was a lot of little news, but no big whammy.
Last Saturday I took in Awesome Con which, in its fifth year, was being held at the Washington Convention Center. Normally I’m all about con reports. You’ll see my cosplay pics, and hear about all the stuff I bought. Not so much this time around. I don’t know what it was, but it didn’t feel very Awesome this year. I hate cons that are filled to capacity (like NYCC), but I felt like this one could’ve been better attended. Sure, there were a lot of folks there, but I still bet they fell short of the numbers that had been expected. No cosplay really caught my eye. There were only, like, 7 comic vendors. The show really doesn’t seem to know if it’s a pop culture con, like a Wizard World show, or if it’s a comic-con for the DC area, rivaling Baltimore’s.
It wasn’t all bad, though. I got to hang out with my buds @KeithDavidsen and @ClassickMateria, plus I had a great conversation with 2/3 of the 3 Black Geeks Podcast. Oh, and I totally gushed over Christopher Hastings, who currently writes I Am Groot and The Unbelievable Gwenpool for Marvel. I’ve been a fan of his since his indie series, The Adventures of Dr. McNinja, and I’m a huge Gwenpool fan. I pretty much went just to meet him, and he was totally gracious and nice. Meanwhile, I was gonna confront Scott Snyder and get him to sign my Dark Days: The Forge book. And then ask him why he blocked me on Twitter. But the stars were not aligned, as his line was capped before I got there. I suppose it was for the best. So, while lacking in awesome, there’s still room for improvement, and I’m sure I’ll be right back there next year.
While a lot of folks are getting excited about it, I have some problems with the way Netflix’s The Defenders series is being marketed. Something seems off with the tone of everything. See that poster above? As I remarked on Twitter, it looks like a TV Guide ad for a show Fox canceled in 1994. I can hear the promo now: “The Defenders, followed by an all-new New York Undercover. Thursday, at 8/7 Central.” There’s nothing about it that *pops*, and it just looks so pedestrian. Are they a rag tag group of NYC street-level heroes, or is it a coming of age drama about 3 guys and a girl trying to make it in New York City? I still have 3 more seasons of Marvel Netflix shows to catch up on before I can even watch this, so maybe I’m not the target audience. It’s just all so formulaic now, though. “Hey, look – a hallway fight!”
We finally got a premiere date for the long-delayed Star Trek: Discovery, bowing September 24th at 8:30 on both CBS and CBS All Access. What’s with the 8:30 start time, though? I guess we’ll get some kind of half-assed, 30-minute Trek retrospective before the show. And, taking a page from cable shows, the season will be split in two, with the first 8 episodes airing in the fall, while the remaining 7 will air starting in January. I couldn’t be less excited for this show. So many damn hoops to jump through, so many broken promises regarding its premiere date. At this point, I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they requested a blood sample before allowing you to watch it. That’s how crazy this has become. What was once thought to become the most pirated series of all time, I’m now starting to think most of us aren’t even gonna bother.
I had no clue that Phil Lord and Chris Miller were the directors on the Han Solo film (how’d I miss that?), and I would’ve told anyone who’d listen that they were a terrible choice – which is why I’m not surprised that they were fired this week, citing “creative differences”. Sure, The Lego Movie was great. The Jump Street franchise was great. But I don’t see them fitting into the “Star Wars vision” that Kathleen Kennedy clearly has. They would’ve given us something great and entertaining, but I don’t know if it would’ve been a “Star Wars movie”. Then again, I’m not the biggest Star Wars fan, so what do I know. I’d like to think there’s room to do a lot of stuff in that franchise, but I just don’t see their style fitting into what’s already been established. And then Ron Howard was announced as their replacement. I really don’t know how I feel about this. I mean, gifted director, but this seems sort of out of his wheelhouse. Any of y’all have strong thoughts either way?
youtube
Meanwhile, somebody needs to make up their mind about whether these Spider-Man spinoffs are gonna be set in the MCU or not. We were basically told that only Spider-Man was crossing over, and even that’s been threatened as a possible one-time deal. But then Amy Pascal did a press junket earlier this week, where she danced around the matter, saying that the Spider-Man spinoffs would build upon the world that is being carefully crafted, leading some to believe they might actually be set in the MCU. That’s how some folks saw it. I just saw it as Pascal trying to keep her job. I guess time will tell. Meanwhile, Spider-Man Homecoming 2 is already being discussed (which I hope is called Spider-Man: Sadie Hawkins Dance), and there will reportedly be a cameo by another MCU character who’s not Iron Man. Keep it in your pants, boys. Let’s see how this one does first, OK?
Song of the Week
youtube
Yup, it’s a Taylor Swift song, but it’s NOT sung by Taylor. She gave this song to Little Big Town, who have ridden it to #1. It’s got her trademark juvenile lyrics, but I still think it’s beautiful. I kinda wish I didn’t know she wrote it, but I think that was part of the push that got it to #1. Anyway, here’s “Better Man”.
Things You Might Have Missed This Week
Shonda Rhimes had to fail eventually, which is why her summer Shakespeare series, Still Star-Crossed, has been moved to Saturday after 3 low-rated episodes. Stick a fork in that turkey!
Speaking of dead shows, CMT couldn’t make the numbers work to revive Last Man Standing, so the sitcom is officially dead
Dule Hill’s real-life fiancee, Ballers actress Jazmyn Simon, will play Gus’ love interest in the Psych reunion movie
Apparently Nickelodeon is prepping a one-hour reunion, called Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling. I didn’t have cable growing up, but I know this means something to some of you.
Virginia Madsen won’t be back for season 2 of Designated Survivor. I was kinda hoping she and Kiefer would bang, so now I have the sads…
Six cast members are out at Taken, amid a major shake-up prior to season 2. I guess you could say they didn’t have the right set of skills.
They’re teasing a Downton Abbey movie for 2018. I hope it’s called Downton Abbey: Matthew’s Revenge!
There are rumors that Damon Lindelof is in talks to do a Watchmen TV series for HBO. That network is really into dongs lately, so I guess this is a perfect fit.
Daniel Henney is shifting his Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders character over the main Criminal Minds series, following the former’s cancellation. Remember that when your CBS-watching grandpa asks you where he’s seen that “Oriental fella” before…
The CW is interested in a Supernatural spinoff called Wayward Sisters, which would star recurring guest star Kim Rhodes. I don’t watch Supernatural, but she was Zack & Cody’s hot mom, so I’m a supporter of giving her more work!
After a thorough investigation, Warner Bros found no evidence of misconduct on the set of Bachelor In Paradise, and production has resumed on the season. Now it’ll probably be the most-watched season of the show, but there’s no way they saw that coming, right? Right?
As a reward for being the #1 daytime drama for the past 28 (!) consecutive years, CBS has renewed The Young and the Restless for another three seasons
NBC is scrambling to do some damage control, as Megyn Kelly’s highly publicized interview with Sandy Hook truther Alex Jones was beaten by a rerun of America’s Funniest Home Videos. That’s right, it was beaten by a show that’s been rendered virtually obsolete since the proliferation of the Internet
Heroes is coming to Crackle on July 13th. You know, that free streaming network that nobody watches? So, if you’re still itching to save the cheerleader, there ya go.
The sequel to Jurassic World will be called Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Meh. That shit ought to be called Jurassic Galaxy. Take those dinos into space already!
Daniel Day-Lewis has quit acting, meaning we’ll never get to see him in the Fast and the Furious franchise like we’d always dreamed!
Fresh off his mistrial, Bill Cosby plans to give speaking engagements where he will instruct folks how to dodge sexual assault charges. I couldn’t make this shit up! “If you put the pudding pop in the Jello, make sure you’re not caught on any Kodak film!”
Transformers 5: Bad Touch had the lowest opening day box office for the franchise, with $15.7 million.
In the ultimate Fuck yo’ Father’s Day move, Beyonce’s dad announced to the world, via tweet, that her twins had arrived. I hear he was dragged away by wraiths soon afterward.
Adam West’s unaired episode of Powerless can now be seen on DC All Access, as well as Hulu.
No one had the West Week Ever this week. As Nina Simone sang, “It be’s that way sometimes”. I do have a correction from last week, though. Like I said up top, I’ve got some real world stuff going on and I wasn’t really thinking clearly. I inducted Adam West into the West Week Ever Hall of Fame, when my pal @zacshipley pointed out that a better honor was staring me right in the face: that honor should be called the West Life Ever. So, the post has since been corrected and, going forward, that is what will be bestowed upon those greats that we’ve lost along the way. Adam West had the West Life Ever.

The Hottest Fashion Accessory For 2017 Is The HuCard
Behold the latest from THUNDERBOX, a Japanese fashion label that not only uses video games as an accessory in various product shots, but as inspiration for threads as well. The two highlights of the SHOTSHOT STAGE3 would have to be appearance of HuCards, or Turbo Chips in the West…

And this Takahashi Meijin (from his appearance in the GAME KING mockumentary) inspired top…
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You can either watch GAME KING here or simply refer to this collage that miki800 whipped up…
Tumblr media
As for other game-centric attire from THUNDERBOX, here’s this snazzy Famicom inspired button up, from their CASE FOURTEEN line…
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And this jack and suit combo from SHOTSHOT STAGE1…

Sticking with the subject of apparel real quick, @HeavyViper recently tweeted a pic of himself wearing Mountain Graphics’ STAR SOLDIUS shirt (grab yours here, BTW) while making boops and beep on stage with a Game Boy…
Tumblr media
So GDC was this past week, a place not normally known for cosplay, yet when the creator of Seaman shows up… as well as @TheAnnaTheRed…

As I’m sure everyone already knows, the NintendoSwitch also finally came out, and there’s been lots of celebrating online. This is perhaps my fave piece of fan art I’ve seen thus far, by quistal…
Tumblr media
BTW, I’m not making the biggest deal about the release because, I dunno, I simply don’t have one yet? Though I will say, leading up the launch, I did find myself somewhat swept up in the excitement, which wasn’t quite as big, yet in some ways managed to echo the buzz that surrounded the the original Wii’s release.
I also came across something that’s related, which I’ll be sharing in the next installment of the Super Attractive Club newsletter, but until then, please enjoy this recap of a Nintendo hardware launch over 10 years ago, when I was just starting my tenure at GameSetWatch. I wonder if this girl got the Switch?

According to Arcade Crusade, a proposed Sega Classic Arcade Machines Lego set reached the 10,000 supporters necessary to be considered for a real thing, so that’s pretty neat! Personally, I’d rather have a Lego Virtua Racing cab, but I’ll get whatever set that includes a Lego Yu Suzuki…

Coming soon to Japanese airwaves is Final Fantasy 14: Daddy Of Light, a show about a father and son that become closer while playing FF14 together. Here’s the intro, and... how many times have you watched something and wondered if it was some Saturday Night Live parody? Does Japan have something along the lines of SNL?
youtube
And speaking of Final Fantasy, remember this? Well, here’s something along those lines (via the-entire-furry-fandom)…
Tumblr media
Does anyone out there also remember CRT Souls? Well, didn’t realize it until recently but there’s been updates since last time. Here are my faves from parts 4 and 5…

Much news has been made with the recently unveiled Video Game History Foundation, and for good reason. Though it’s worth being reminded of the Japanese Game Preservation Society, which I’ve mentioned previously. And sixteen-bit recently posted a fairly recent profile produced by NHK World that’s an absolute must watch for anyone interested in the preservation of old Japanese games, in the mother land…

On a related note, here we have a 40-minute long video featuring Primal Rage 2. The play through is based upon a recovered work in progress ROM dump. It’s worth noting how the Friday Night Fisticuffs crew initially thinks it’s going to be dumb yet they become fans real quick. I myself was a huge fan of the original, cuz of my love for stop motion plus, of course, dinosaurs.
The sequel has humanoids (they’re actually gods, I think) that transform into dinos, plus vice versa, which would be so dumb if not for how well animated said deities are. Also, I absolutely love the cue given, to signal the usage of a fatality: “DO IT!”

For whatever reason, I am fascinated with this look at games that attempt to deal with a player’s indecisiveness when being asked to continue (via meldowiseau)…

Swarm explains: “Bungie using a bunch of unnamed icons to make images inside folders in OS9. I’m ready for this to make a comeback.” Me too buddy, me too…
Tumblr media
It’s been a while since I’ve mentioned Toco Toco around these parts, so here we have the latest episode, featuring the director of Persona 5 discussing the usage of Tokyo as the setting for the game (be sure to turn on subtitles)…

Wait a minute; there was an Uzumaki game for the WonderSwan (via vgjunk)?!?!

This week’s recommended reading is this post entitled: “How to get good at Pinball”. A small taste…
“Here’s something newbies don’t often know: not only is it okay to nudge and tilt the playfield, the game actually assumes you will and incorporates that into play. Don’t do it too roughly or the ball will void, but yes, you can nudge the table, usually twice each ball. To quote Dr. Strangelove, ‘it is not only possible, it is essential.’”
Which do you prefer? This Ulala Figma, coming later this year…

Or these vinyl Morolians, available now…

Time for some random bits of Sonic! Starting with this illustration in which Knuckles seems generally happy with the train wreck of that 32X game that he stars in (via vice-s-assistant)…
Tumblr media
Then there’s Knuckles in a hospital bed, with Sonic and Tails looking on, somewhat non-plussed. It really feels like Knuckles did something stupid or the like (via hypostatics)…
Tumblr media
Here’s what Sonic would look like if he was human (via finalfantasyvii)…
Tumblr media
And here’s from the intro to some Sega Saturn game in which a girl has Sonic and Tails dolls stuck to her head (via sonicthehedgeblog)…
Tumblr media
Now might be a good time to also share some highlights from Super Mario Broth. Like the sculpture created to raise awareness for I think a koala hospital in Australia…
Tumblr media
This bad ending in a choose your adventure book in which Mario accidentally causes the death of Luigi…
Tumblr media
Mario with Buzz Aldrin…
Tumblr media
And Mario with some Russian, who apparently had the rights to Tetris that Nintendo needed…
Tumblr media
Speaking of Tetris, I have no idea what the deal is with this scantily clad animu babe (via larvalhex)…
Tumblr media
For whatever reason, this oldie but goodie from around these parts got reblogged like crazy a few days ago, on PlayStation 1 audiophiles…
Tumblr media
And finally, yet another quality head-to-head from VCDECIDE, this time of two separate Sakura Taisen stage productions…

Don’t forget: Attract Mode is now on Medium! There you can subscribe to keep up to date, as well as enjoy some “best of” content you might have missed the first time around, plus be spared of the technical issues that’s starting to overtake Tumblr.
