the abandoned ship theme from pokemon ruby/sapphire/emerald is such a special theme to me... something about it just exudes nostalgia. i love it so very dearly
#when i was a little kid playing emerald for the first time#i have a really vivid memory of running around the place trying to find all its secrets for hours#i dont think i ever found all of them. lol#im a kid born in the age of the internet... i couldve looked it up at any time. i probably had the old family ipad like 10 feet from me tbh#but i didnt want to! i wanted to find all of it myself#something about the place just felt so alive to me.#a mystery for little baby bri to solve about the things that have been buried by time#i think the oras remasters of the song (both for sea mauville and southern island) are very nice. but.#i just dont think they could ever recapture that feeling the original evokes in me#you know that faithful remaster project for mother 3? where they try to remake the soundtrack using the most updated versions#of the same soundfont?#i would love one of those for rse... oras is nice but it just. idk something about the pure orchestra makes it lose something for me#bri talks
