Happy Birthday, Fine Line! Have a Louis show! (Seriously, why can’t I get cool shows for my birthday like that??). So today’s been a busy week, huh? 

It is, of course, Fine Line’s anniversary, and the celebration kicked off last night, with a twitter emoji (it's Harrrry! Doing the FL pose so so tiny!) and the DYKWYA website changing. It’s pink and black and blue and white, and now tells us that we’re “loyal” and “marvelous” and “memorable” and “powerful” and “rare” and “real” and “staying six feet apart” (or 70 other lovely options). So either HSHQ got their thesaurus out, or they tuned into Louis’ show last night, because that’s EXACTLY how I would describe it. Anyways, the day started with a Harry sighting! Well, a video from last week that is, of him doing a MakeaWish FaceTime in a blue snapback. And then there was a Harry Lambert interview, where he directly addressed the discourse around Harry’s fashion choices, saying, “Harry will never wear something that he doesn’t want to wear...I always say, 'I‘m not doing my job if I’m making someone wear things' because I just think if someone gets comfortable in what they’re wearing, then it doesn’t matter if I think it looks good.” He went on to say, “There’s never an element of me forcing him to wear anything”. So - TAKE THAT, transphobes! We all recognize that saying “the mean gay man is making Harry look gay/genderqueer” is, uh, a REALLY bad take, right? Anyways, hopefully that’s the end of it, but we all know it won’t be. He also told us that Harry chose the (fake) pearls, asking “can I just wear these every day?” and they were only replaced with real ones after that strand broke, that he tried to get H out of the Vans for the Golden vid but he said nah, and about the Golden and WS videos “I kind of saw it as the same man just in a different place in the world” which, well- yeah? But the implication that that man was not Harry is interesting. Aside from that, we got some more terrible merch from HSHQ (including a shirt that is a glove with legs stuck on it, wtf), a few celebratory tweets from HSHQ, The Forum, Jeff Azoff (there's a theme here lol) etc, AND! A post from Harry himself: “I couldn’t be more grateful for you all continually finding new ways to change my life. Thank you for listening, and for everything else. I love you always, but especially today. H”. What? That’s his name, isn’t it? 

But, of course, H wasn’t the only one celebrating online today! Louis came back and answered some of our questions about the show. The first is that he sold over - are you ready for this? - OVER 160,000 tickets for the show, making it the biggest online show of 2020 by a solo male artist, and the third largest overall of the year. Even the Sun had to admit how “exceptional” that is, describing the show as "the equivalent of eight nights at London’s O2 Arena." Doing the math, this means he raised over $3.1 million from ticket sales alone! HOLY SHIT! Hearing that, Louis came on twitter to say (in reply to a quote by his PR company lmao), “This is truly incredible. No major label, no radio, yet here we are. The feeling of support I get from you all every time I do something is unbelievable. Forever Thankful! And they never see us coming!”. Of course, this incited another round of label discourse, wondering if this means he is still an unsigned artist. Does this simply mean the livestream wasn't put on by a label, yes, does Louis absolutely know about the discourse and is he being deliberate, I would also say unmistakeably yes. Which is not to say we know ELSE it might mean -- is he signed to an indie? Still label shopping and waving how much more they need him than vice versa in the hopefuls' faces? Signed but the contract doesn't start until there's a record in play (which when you negotiate your own contract and establish artistic freedom, as we can be very sure was Louis' priority, is what labels DO - they don’t manage every aspect of an artists career)? Signed by a major label, but shading the FUCK out of Syco about radio play for Walls? What we DO know is that it wasn't a label that put the livestream on, and damn if that doesn’t make it 1000% more badass. “Memorable”, “powerful”, and “rare” indeed! He’s still early in the process of LT2, as he told us yesterday, so we might have to wait a little longer to figure out what’s happening business-wise, but he made sure to tell everyone that his fans were an integral part of his processing the most inspiring way possible: “the power and the magic comes from the people you guys,” I COULD CRY that's MY inspirational leader THANK YOU. He goes on to say “don't undermine your role in all this... together with your support we're unstoppable!” He also called us “fucking relentless” (god knows that's true) as Walls hit the charts AGAIN, and talked about how the money raised will go a long way. “WE did that!!”

And with that, let’s talk a little bit more about last night’s (“bold”, “extraordinary”) show! ‘‘Copy’ is making its rounds on the internet, but YouTube continues to take down recordings of the show, which SUCKS, because everyone should be able to see it! Maybe in a few days when some time has passed, they’ll let it go up without an issue, or maybe they'll answer our pleas (come through one more time Louis!) and put out a DVD (and live album too how about, YES? Yes.), til then there are the downloads going around tumblr! Good thing we got Louis' seal of approval or just imagine the discourse. The ‘H’ shirt Louis was wearing last night is a Reebok shirt, which was being distributed in a few different places, such one where you could get a discount if you used the code ‘HL40’ and another where it was $28, lol. Was it the loudest Louis shirt ever- I mean I would say an unqualified NO but many are voting YES and are reeling so that's really fun! Welcome to the gang guys. Not likely to win any awards for being loud with such incredible competition but still very good SBBing-- Louis was wearing a stuffed bear t shirt in rehearsal pics. When you know you know, I guess! ;) The band is also soaking in the praises (as they should!) and have been re-posting fans’ stories on Instagram all day (as did LTHQ) - cheers, boys! 

Today’s Liam and Roman alarm was ALL us (well, not allll us, Roman did explain that the alarms would feature fans every Sunday, but then he handed the mic over). “Waking up to Liam and Roman is the best thing EVER! I don’t know why it gives me so much serotonin,” said one fan. I do! It’s because Liam is a real, live puppy dog and he’s so genuinely sweet to his fans. Love him lots, but I love him even MORE when he’s ON the advent alarm!

What inspired you this year ? Any specific works or creators ?

well the reason i came back to the teen wolf fandom was because of a dream i had about liam and theo so i guess everything i made was inspired by that dream LMAO. any specific works or creators: i did make a moodboard inspired by one of attempted--eloquence's fic, but also some fics i read made me think about songs that then i included in my playlists

What are you most proud of ?

nothing really asdfghjklkjh i just make my stupid little posts and post them. i don't think im proud of anything (but i must admit i love my jock!liam x skater!theo moodboards bc i LOVE that concept)

What’s a piece you didn’t expect to make ? Why ?

anything related to malydia and allydia, because when i first got into the fandom i only shipped lydia with stiles, and now i also ship her with almost every teen wolf girl and scott

What are you excited to work on next year ?

i don't know! i wanna make more moodboards based on AUs and/or with little stories, like the jock x skater, halloween and prom thiam ones. also it would be really cool to work with a writer and create a moodboard for their story or participate on any tumblr event, like thiam week. but at the same time i want to make less stuff, bc that would mean that im (mentally) healthier and i get out of my room more asdfghjklkjh

Maybe Niall is not the problem? I mean Liam also complimented Zayn and Pillowtalk. Even though days prior he said he would let Zayn drown and didn't understand why he Zayn hated being in 1D. And it's not just Niall like you guys have stated before it's also Louis and Harry not showing support. So why automatically assume Niall is the one with the problem??

Anon 2: I'm a bit confused right now. When the ztans got upset over what Liam said about Zayn they overreacted? The other boys haven't said anything negative about Liam & thank you for explaining how public support is so important. & how it would have motivated neutral fans. Does that mean Liam's comments about Zayn & not understanding why he left 1D had no negative effect what's so ever? Sadly for Liam while yes ot4 stans had more excuses to hate Zayn it also affected him & a lot of ppl dropped him.

Hi,I’ve decided to address both of you at the same time because I have similar things to say.Not once have I mentioned that Niall is or was theproblem, I don’t know if you read it off somewhere and are coming at me to takecollective responsibility but I have not once painted Niall (or any of theothers) as the bad guy. The tags designated for this topic by me are:management fuckery and the situation, not Niall fuckery or any warped ass shitlike that. I have always maintained, it’s not just Niall, it’s also Louis and Harry, where have you been?Having said that though, Niall a few months back mentioned that if they don’t publicly wish each other, a million stories get written about it, so he is aware of that. Louis clearly preferred publicly expressing his love for Niall, instead of texting in private, he said so himself. So they’re clearly aware. I guess it’s maybe unfair for everyone to be especially expectant of Niall but that’s also because Niall was and continues to be the most publicly supportive out of all of them. He clearly hasn’t discount on publicly supporting Harry or Louis. Besides, Niall and Liam share the same UK label so maybe that’s also another reason people expected him to tweet something, if nobody else. I never mentioned ztans getting upset anywhere? In fact, I understand if ztans got hella upset and all, they buy all narratives and think the world of z*gi’s photoshopped PR romance so I really don’t think I have ever directed any of anger at what they had to say or not. I was more pissed and a bit irked by the so called Ziams and OT5 stans who give the benefit of doubt to everyone over everything but conveniently ignored Liam. About Liam’s comments where he says he doesn’t get why Zayn left, I think those were absolutely unnecessary and insensitive and yes, people have a right to be pissed at him for saying that but I saw some really ugly stuff being hurtled at Liam which is completely unwarranted. The drowning game was a joke, imo. I would also like to clarify that I don’t think Liam in actuality doesn’t understand why Zayn left, that’s because:1. Liam in his first radio interview since Zayn’s departure sounded absolutely understanding of Zayn’s situation, he even said that he didn’t get it at first and he understands now. If he really was clueless, he would have voiced it out then. 2. Zayn’s mentioned that he and Liam talk thereby explaining things were fine between them, even as per the narratives. 3. Liam when asked about the Titanic question picked Harry and Ed over Zayn. Let’s talk context: they went hard for those 2 days with anti ziam-ness, so I’m not surprised. Practically speaking though, he’d already said Harry’s music taste wasn’t his and incurred the wrath of a majority of this fandom. Ed co-wrote his solo debut single, there was no way he’d have not picked Ed because who is that ungrateful? There was no correct answer with that question. It was very reminiscent of Zayn’s radio interview where he didn’t even bring up the PillowTalk views vs the History mv views but he was cornered by the radio guy. 4. I cannot repeat this enough times but the bit about not understanding why Zayn left came from Dan Wootton. Dan Wootton got exclusives from before SGT and PillowTalk mvs dropped, how? Dan Wootton gets exclusives of Liam’s personal life, and for that matter of all the boys’ personal lives, how? Dan Wotton continues to sell narratives. BUT, like my friend mentioned, we never got a picture advertising the podcast with Dan Wootton and Liam as we did for Dan Wootton and Niall or Dan Wootton and Harry! Ever wondered why? “Oh oh but we got audio of Liam!!!” Yeah we did. Print quotes are easy to manipulate because sometimes the tone gets lost in translation and also quotes can be made up but I can assure you that if you went to Billboard right now, if you had the right connections and tried to extract that audio of Zayn and the interviewer that led to the Billboard interview, then you will find it. Because believe it or not, while most of these print quotes can be skewed, they actually do come out of the boys’. It’s not that black and white. Meanwhile Zayn messed up on audio too right? With the ‘n’ word? Where is his apology?Most importantly though, Sashaa Malik 2 days after the Dan wootton and drowning mess, happened to like and possibly rt a tweet saying Liam will always be supportive of Zayn and won’t let anyone forget Zayn is a part of 1D. But she has always been a Liam girl, you say? Okay but Sarooha Malik Snapchatted/Instagrammed bopping to Strip That Down. As insensitive as that Dan interview mention of Zayn was, that podcast didn’t gain much traction either. I get the feeling you’re both pitting Liam as a villain and implying Liampraising PillowTalk was some sort of damage control and I’m just going to remind you of the following:1. Liam was the only one who went off script and thanked Zayn at theBBMAs, so much so that the next time on stage they cut him off and this proves he went off script, and if you still doubt that go check H, Lou and Ni’s expressions,2. Liam was the only one who included Zayn in the 5thanniversary tweet, Zayn acknowledged it,3. Liam publicly said he loves Zayn and would welcome himback in the pap session from 2016, 4. ZAYN FIRST brought up “wanting to do somethingoutside of the band anyway” with Liam5. Repeating this but Liam’s radio interview with Ryan Seacrest after Zayn left plus pap sesh from 2016 is pretty Zayn positiveWas all of this preemptive damage control too? From over 1-2 years ago? LMAO. Liam didn’t abruptly start talking positively about Zayn, so kiss my ass. @anon 2, you indeed are welcome and people always drop Liam, but the hypocrisy is pretty evident when y’alls fave fuck up even more.

We Made It is out!! [literally redacted for length, me going on and on about how great the song is] But not just that, LT TOUR DATES ARE OUT!! The tour starts in Europe and the UK in March (the Apollo! Donny Dome!), goes international, then wraps up in North America in July, and most of the venues are small and the tickets are on sale in less then two weeks so basically, write your wills/bankruptcy paperwork now cause it's about to get real. Fans are already camping out in South America and TBH they might just have the right idea. We're told there will be "a few more dates" at a "later date" but not soon enough to ease this frenzy I'm guessing. Anyway WMI! The video is out too and continues but doesn't finish the story started in the KMM video- again there's a snippet of the next single at the end and it's Don't Let It Break Your Heart! DLIBYH was recently registered, showing Louis as a performer only, no writing credit, which was surprising. Not clear if he didn't write on it at all or just not enough of it to put his name on there. New writer of note who is credited: Wrabel, a singer songwriter who also runs their own label, Big Gay Records. Louis is in NYC doing promo. He sang at Sirius this morning (airs tomorrow). Also tomorrow Elvis Duran, and he records his Build Series interview in front of a small fan audience. He got papped, just a man, his bodyguard, and his latte casually strolling the streets, and then headed off to a fan meet and greet. If your heart isn't already in tatters from the many many moving fan accounts of Louis taking his time and connecting personally with and loving each one of the lucky fans, how about the picture of Louis jokingly flipping off the huge poster of his own face? And if that hasn't done you in, get ready for Louis asking to hold a baby named Louis and yeah. The cutest fucking Louis+baby pics you'll ever see [commentary redacted] Anyway coverage of the single: lots of quotes about the song and its nostalgic slant, Louis telling all kinds of stories about what inspired the lyrics, and I do mean all kinds! When more than one media outlet comment that he "has shared a few different stories behind what it could mean" you know it's getting shifty out there. So is about the fans, Eleanor, touring (that was a good one!), his mates, or "some other relationship" as one outlet offered? To quote Louis, "I think if the fans really listen to my lyrics you'll know what I'm singing about," and "this song is a message to my fans."

And on the topic of Harry, what is he up to? Well! He's is gonna be on Saturday Night Live on Nov 16, he's gonna fully take it over! That's right he's the host and musical guest and will get to introduce himself and you know he'll make the most of that... He'll be the 28th person to do the double duty which led to much being made of the 28, which led to people crying to Jeff to get the tweet about him being the 28th presenter performer deleted and sue the outlet for announcing it LMAO. Obviously that didn't happen because, what.

Liam's Christmas tune is out and it's a really lovely song! All I Want (for Christmas) was released midnight everywhere so technically not yet lots of places but you know, it's out. The lyric vid is on YouTube, it's the adorable tale of animated game of thrones Liam, his pink haired ex girlfriend (is that the NTMY girl?) and his new significant other, a giant fluffy wolf. And Liam performed tonight (not the new song it was before that.) It wasn't scheduled but he stepped in to fill Rita Ora's slot (she was taken ill and cancelled) to play at the Amazon Music Fashion Europe Event in Berlin. He plays the Kiss Haunted House Party tomorrow night at Wembley, which given that it's Halloween themed I don't expect the Christmas song but who knows.

A new version of NTMY was announced for midnight local time tonight, which it for sure is somewhere (see: Liam's song being out) but I don't see it and honestly it's busy today anyway. Tomorrow for that! But for today, the Niall and Lewis Capaldi friendship test video is out and whatever you were imagining and hoping it would be, it absolutely is. It's Quality Content indeed y'all. It doesn't have a best part, it's all the best part, buuuut Lewis making Niall turn bright red is pretty damn good. Niall will be on Graham Norton Nov 8 as a guest and performer.
