hope would bring up the idea after you guys had been together for a while

and you were just sitting on the couch or something when she asked if you wanted to

and you would be SO NERVOUS because you know how much hope respects her parents and values their opinions

and we all know hope is headstrong and comes across as brave constantly, but she is secretly nervous too

even though she knows klaus and hayley will like you

and despite how much hope reassures you klaus and hayley both intimidate you a lot

but nonetheless y'all hop in the car for a long ass road trip to new orleans

i just know hope has an incredible road trip playlist

but anyway the drive feels like forever and a half because of the nerves

i feel like klaus and hayley would just be waiting outside for you guys to arrive

and seeing them in person completely freaks you out so you instinctively take hope's hand

"they are going to love you. i know i told you that a billion times and you won't believe me until you see it, but i swear it's true."

you guys get out of the car together, but hope steps out slightly ahead of you so you have a second to breathe

it's also insanely hot in new orleans and it's not helping your anxiety

but once you step out of the car and start walking toward the (massive ass) house, you start to feel a little better seeing hope embrace both of her parents

and then eventually their attention turns to you

i feel like hayley would say something along the lines of "hope, you didn't tell me she was this stunning!" and hope would be like "actually i did???" 😭😭😭

and you'd just be standing there blushing profusely thinking about the things hope told her parents about you

klaus honestly doesn't know how to respond to this situation

he kinda just gives an awkward handshake and hello

but he warms up to you so fast

soon enough he's telling you stories hope hasn't even heard

and she's like "who even is the favorite here?"

you guys would be staying for the weekend before returning to mystic falls

and during that time klaus and hayley grew to love you even more

hope would probably have a few things planned like dinners and stuff

but it would overall be a relaxed weekend getting to know hope's family

they're actually sad when you have to go

i feel like rebekah would show up like sunday night and be like wtf i missed it :(

but she would have a cute introductory conversation with you too!

and you'd turn to hope and be like "she is actually MY aunt"

in the car on the way home hope would be a total smartass and be like "i told you they would like you!!!"

and you'd kinda just smile because she was right

This might be a weird ask, so please disregard if you’re not interested in answering it.

I think you mentioned once that you like to cook, and a lot of your fics have mentions of food (which I love btw). So I was wondering: Do you have specific meals/recipes that make you think of certain clones? Or, do you have any headcanons as to Earth-based meals/foods specific clones would deem their favorite?

Not a weird ask at all! I do love to cook, and I'm always down to talk about food 💚

I will always think about fresh pasta with wild mushroom ragu when I think about Waxer thanks to "The Sixth Language." I have actually made that meal, and it's delicious. (I also tried to do the sexy cooking lesson with my partner, which was... Less successful 💀)

I personally headcanon that every clone has a massive sweet tooth thanks to their enhanced metabolisms and the fact that they didn't get sweets growing up. I also think they would pretty much all enjoy spicy food. This HC is for sure influenced by how spicy Mandalorian cuisine is supposed to be.

I think a lot of family-style meals would be really appealing to the clones, just because they would appreciate the sense of community. Any meal where a big group of people gathers around a table to eat and drink and laugh and talk and bond—I think that would be a dream come true for a lot of the clones. NB I'm not necessarily talking about literal biological family here; I mean it in the sense of the people you love and care about most—whomever that may include.

As far as specific foods:

I think Gregor would have a weakness for cheeseburgers (and apparently pineapple).

Dogma seems like a risotto man to me, for some reason (the technique would appeal to him, I think). He would probably love the precision of molecular gastronomy.

We know the Bad Batch loves sushi! I think seafood would be popular with a lot of the clones because they grew up on an oceanic world (though to be honest, I don't know whether their diets actually included seafood on Kamino, or whether it was just nutrient sludge).

I think Crosshair would love ramen—if he ever got a chance to actually take a bite of it.

Jesse seems like he would be very aware of his macros, and he'd be a surprisingly good cook. Mapo tofu would be his specialty. He would tell you exactly how many grams of protein was in it.

Tup... Vegetarian. Idk why, he just gives the vibe. But he'd be sneaky about it. He'd feed you the most amazing meal of your life, and you'd never even realize it was vegan.

Fireball would probably love poke bowls. Extra avocado, please!

Kix is addicted to junk food, and if anyone teases him about it, he'll be extra shaky next time he has to give them an injection. Jesse is constantly trying to get him to do better.

Rex has been a Sunday roast fan ever since he ate dinner with Cut and Suu.

Wolffe and Hunter seem like barbecue men—legit barbecue, not burgers and hot dogs. Like cochinita pibil, Texas-style brisket, barbacoa, Carolina whole hog. FIRE🔥

Cody secretly loves cheap pizza (think Little Caesar's), but if you asked him his favorite food, he'd probably say something like coq au vin. Don't get me wrong, he likes coq au vin too; it just doesn't scratch that particular itch.

The entire Coruscant Guard loves street food. Any kind of street food. If it comes from a food truck and can be eaten while walking, they're happy.

Kisa found Lucille odd at first. Too inquisitive and curious. Too nice, even. He spent a good deal of time waiting to find an ulterior motive. But he did find her gorgeous, so there is that.

2 .What was their first date like? If they haven’t been on a date yet, how would it go?

A classic man.. Expensive dinner and a nice walk in the Harbour. One of those dates where you don't want to separate at the end because it feels so right and warm.

3. It’s late at night and your characters want food, what do they order/find in the fridge?

DEFINITELY the two am chocolate chip cookies couple!!! tell me I'm wrong?! they are definitely baking and giggling and getting flour all over each other.

4. What’s a typical Sunday like for them?

With the assumption Kisa has no work; Either working on their own projects in comfortable silence, or resident kittyboy knitting while Luci naps on his lap.

5. What’s their love language like? Are they compatible with one another?

Kisa's giving are gifts and physical touch, his receiving is quality time and physical touch! I do not recall Lucille's but I think her entire personality is a love language in and of itself, and Kisa agrees with me so. Very compatible indeed.

6. Do they have any pet names/nicknames for eachother?

Kisa is.. a lover of petnames and nicknames.. SO MANY. but uhh; "My petal." "My flower." "Droplet." "Mi vida." "The thread to my needle." he lays 'em on thique.

They're more talk it out people but I can definitely see them getting into it over Kisa's work. Especially the.. shittier stuff?

Okay idk about Luci, but I know that Kisa loves laundry and loves cooking. He HATES dishes though.

we don't talk sad scenarios for them very often but honestly, just divulging each other's pasts and lost friends to each other and working through the pain of it together...

10. How do they make up after a fight?

Kisses and snuggles and Kisa WILL cook for her.

Outsiders. idk how to explain it, again they're more likely to talk things through. But if somebody (like Decord or Galin or Zhongli) accidentally instigates an argument with a comment even unintentionally then well.

12. What would they say each other’s worst quality is?

Kisa is afraid of Lucille's trusting nature. It isn't that its her worst quality, he doesn't think about that. But its the quality of hers that he fears the most.

He thinks shes so nurturing and loving. It makes him so happy. She's such a kind soul and he appreciates it so much, he wants to protect her even though he knows Luci doesn't need it.

"Lucille? Ah, mi vida.. She's such a kind person, isn't she? (laughs) yes, unique too.. Her laughter is like sunlight and her smile is like the moon reflecting on a beautiful pond. The keeper of my soul that one.. Oh and her hair is simply so soft!"

okay deadass pretty sure Kisa waited so much longer than he should have. Working on something for an upcoming mission and his arm malfunctioning and Lucille picking up the dropped needle without missing a beat in her story and handing it to him with a grin before she continues and Kisa can hear his heart in his ears and he can't help the swish of his tail and his arm is still twitching but gods she's gorgeous and her voice is so soothing and maybe he won't make the deadline if his arm needs to be repaired but it doesn't matter because THIS moment matters.

36. How long have they been friends? Would they consider each other best friends?

I like to think they're fast friends so sure maybe they aren't friends the longest before dating (looks at mors caeli with judgement) but they're good friends!!

37. How did they become friends?

ngl I highkey forgot how they met and we should visit that again!! but I think it was Sulien's fault.

Kisa is not AT ALL ticklish, so maybe Luci?

Hmm they're both carefree but strict in their own ways, imo? On the surface you'd think Luci is the less strict parent, but with what they've both been through I think they have their own "things", yk?

Kisa is a bit of a weirdo and will sleep with something that smells like her. He has them cat senses. He's not a particularly needy person, but this is his first really real long term relationship so.. yk.

"She's a walking green flag. Literally. I love her so much."

42. Have they ever been jealous?

oh Kisa is MEGA jealous. he's just really good at hiding it. She's such a charismatic lovable person! hard not to be a little jealous of all the attention she gets.

They are both extroverted and introverted enough.

Kisa is bad at it at first. But once Luci tells him what she needs and how she likes to be comforted, he takes that to heart, and he's really good about being there for her. Kisa hides his feelings at first, but when/if she calls him out on it, it just comes out like a waterfall and he stops hiding them.

Anime Magic 2023: Friday

I'll be honest. I don't have a good reason for why I didn't feel like writing up this weekend. I mean, Anime Magic was in August and it's now early November. Normally, I'm more on top of this stuff, so that I don't forget details. And I had fun at Magic...IDK. Can I blame pregnancy brain? Let's blame pregnancy brain.

Since we had to wait until @lechevaliermalfet got off of work, we didn't do a whole lot at Magic on Friday night. We didn't have to wait in the registration line this year, since we were able to get our badges in the mail. That was a small timesaver, which was great, since we arrived just in time to get settled into our hotel room, meet with @shbumi, and then go downstairs for Oriana's Drag Race. It was supposed to start at 1800, but didn't really get underway until about 15-30 minutes later.

That wasn't necessarily a bad thing, mind you - I bumped into someone I knew from the ACen Discord in the lineup outside of the Drag Race area when waiting for the doors to open. So I got to know him a little better. As always, once the show began, Drag Race was a ton of fun, with great performances, lots of courage and creativity from the contestants, and laughter. Onc

Honestly, Drag Show is where most of my Friday night photos came from. In a new twist this year, Oriana granted the winner of Drag Race two performances in the Drag Show on Saturday, and also gave the runner-up a performance in the Drag Show. After Drag Race, it was time for a late dinner at Sugar Factory. I think this might become a new thing for trips to Rosemont. Guess we'll see...

I decided to try something that wasn't a shake this time (though they had a deeply tempting Barbie shake). I couldn't even finish half of it - as always, very good, very rich food.

After dinner, back to the con for a little bit of exploring. We stopped at the manga library for a few minutes.

@lechevaliermalfet and I then said goodnight to @shbumi, who headed back to her room while we stopped in at the Kohei performance.

I think we caught the tiniest bit of Kohei performing at a previous Anime Magic, but this time we were there for pretty much the whole sing along. And there is something nice about sing-shouting your favorite anime tunes with a bunch of other fans that's energizing.

@lechevaliermalfet then called it a night, while I decided to stick it out for the beginning of the Midnight Dance Extravaganza.

There had actually been some technical issues during both Drag Race and Kohei's events and I'm sad to say that continued during the Friday dance. Props to the crowd for not getting super upset and finding ways to still have a good time, but it does sorta suck that AM keeps having these issue every year.

I didn't stay too long into the dance before cutting out to get some shuteye of my own. On the way back to the room, I saw these signs:

Definitely wonder what happened to bring those about! I couldn't tell you if they actually managed to enforce those rules during the weekend - I didn't pay enough attention.

REVIEW

I loved this episode!! I thought it was great :D. We didn't get much interaction between the cases, but to be fair, we usually don't lol :D. We did get a bit though, so that's always nice :)). But the little group scenes we did get were really great :D. Plus some duos we don't always see - ESPECIALLY considering some (one - person/duo) of them haven't been here for 5 seasons XD. It was great having Kalu back lol, and I really liked all of the storylines :). And, slightly different in this case (just by my meaning), the patients were cool too :). When I said storylines a second ago I was talking about the characters' personal storylines, but I'm not always/usually doing that lol. Anyway, great episode!! Really sad for that one plot though DD':. Still, great (not exactly despite that bc it was great too lol but yk :) ).

Now, time for the individual parts!!

Quick bit: Jerome 🥰🥰, love you hun, miss you 😭 <33, excited to see you again soon :)) (hopefully xD). And also nothing better happen to him and Asher lol.

Lim! We didn't see much of her this episode, but she was great for what she was in :DD. I'm so sorry she had to go through that when she was younger <33. And then at the end, she hired Kalu :DD!! And was smart about it too lol :)), finding him a spot. Then of course, her scene eitht he girls at the end :')). Well not Lea but yk lol. Them all having dinner together was so cute 😭😭❤️, AND supporting Morgan? We love to see it 🥰🥰🥰 :')). Them :'DD. But yeah, Lim specifically offering to do it :'). Not that Jordan wouldn't, but this is a section about Lim lol. Also, we didn't see Lim do much of her job medicine wise like hands on, but she helped with Morgan and Jordan's case and she hired Kalu lol, so, she was as always amazing at her job :). Anyway, she's great, love her :DD.

Perez :). Another person we didn't see much, but again, he was great for what we did :)). Did his job well, and seeing him try to help Park out a little while also kind of being deer in the headlights sometimes lol was sweet :). Also him trying to guess who Joe was to Park XDDD. Hilarious lol, I love him <333. But yeah, he was amazing this episode 🥰🥰. I hope the NA is working out for him btw :'D.

Andrews! Too bad he didn't get the donation xD. But lol, he was great this episode. Honestly, I think his level of anger level at Kalu was pretty good - it's been years, lol, he's at least partially over it xD. But I'm glad they could still work together :). And of course, Andrews was great at his job this episode 🥰. I'm definitely excited to see how it goes in the future with him since Kalu's around! Like I said, I think where he was at was good, but I do think they should talk at some point. Also, by the way, I started this paragraph on Sunday (Monday morning?), so it may be a bit short from here on out lol - I'm on a time crunch xD. Anyway! I love him ❤️❤️.

Glassman :)). I'm really glad he could be there for Lea :'DD. He helped her feel better about herself, and her fears, and he found her a way to keep a bit of her 'old' life :')). Amazing 😭😭❤️. Also, again, I love me some Maddie stories :')). The amount of we've been getting lately is just lovely :DD. - wait. Glassman better not die any time soon xD. Anyway, I really loved his scenes with Lea, they were so cute and sweet :'DD. And I'm sure he was great at his job this episode lol - I don't think we saw it xD. But, nonetheless :). He was great :)). I love him <333.

Morgan! I felt so bad for her this episode :'((. Seeing that look the others gave her when they were talking about having an abortion? 😭. But also, seeing them support her at the end of the episode was so :'))). I love them all so much <333. Anyway, Morgan was great at her job this week :'D. It was definitely a tough one, but they all got through it <33. Also, Morgan's conversation with Park was a slay moment xD. I love her :') ❤️❤️.

Asher! Again my man with his tea-seeking tendencies lol xD. But, even though we didn't see too much of him this episode, he was great in what we did see :). He was great at his job, obviously, but it was also fun seeing someone interact with Kalu who never knew him :D! But also. Not that I don't trust Asher. But he better not like Kalu 😒. Or at least not for long and obviously not do anything about it. I trust Asher, I don't trust the writers xD. He better have been just looking for tea lol. Anyway, he was great, and funny as per usual lol xD. I love him 🥰🥰.

Jordan :)). Her case was so sad this episode :'((. I mean obviously it was Morgan's too but yk lol. I'm glad they honored her wishes and tried to save the baby, but I'm also glad they eventually convinced her to let her go. Jordan's conversation with her was so 😭😭. Just, heartbreaking </33. But I'm so glad she managed to do it <3. No one deserves to be put in that situation (the patient I mean, but also them as doctors), but they went through the whole thing with respect and grace. Also I loved them all being there and supporting her for the baptism :'). And of course, that ending scene with the girls was great <33. So yeah :D. Jordan was amazing at her job this episode 🥰🥰. I love her <33.

Shaun! It was really nice seeing him try to help Lea :)). I am glad they found a compromise :D. Also, it was super cool seeing him interact with Kalu again!! I'm interested to be seeing more of that in the future :DD. Anyway, yeah, Shaun was great this episode 🥰🥰. He was of course amazing at his job. Speaking of, I'm SUPER interested in how everything's going to go down next week! I believe this is the introduction (based on context, and just that I don't think it's already running lol) of The Good Lawyer, and it'll certainly be cool :D. But I say speaking of because of the malpractice suit - that's gonna be interesting to sort out!! Anyway, it looks really good :D. But yeah! I love him ❤️❤️❤️.

Lea :)! I'm really happy she managed to find a compromise :D. Kind of, keep a piece of her "old life" with her :')). And her scenes with Glassman were so cute 😭😭. But I just think it was really nice with showing a) that you can have mixed feelings, and b) that just because you have kids does not mean you have to change every bit of your life completely and never look back. You can still have your identity :)). Anyway, I'm super glad she got her cool car 🥰🥰. And I'm sure she was great at her job this episode, lol. I love her :DDD.

Park! I don't always go in importance/plot/idk significance to me order, but I decided to put him at the end in vaguely that (ish) :). Not often he goes last! Cool :)). Anyways, I loved him this episode!! It's not often we get to see Park ANGRY (and I use caps for emphasis), but we did this episode and it was super cool :)). Like, that boxing scene? OOGH, the drama!!! Anyway, he was awesome :DD. He was also great at his job :))! And honestly, for his sake, I'm glad he managed to forgive Joe :'). He deserved that <33. I just think it helped him gain some peace 🥰🥰. Also his conversation with Morgan was great :)). He really did need somebody who wasn't afraid to say anything lol. But, yeah <33. I love him ❤️❤️🥰.

Overall, I really enjoyed this episode! I thought it was great :D. The cases were cool and interesting, and there was an abundance of great character moments!! A bunch of emotions swirling around, but also some funny bits :D! And a pretty evenly spread focus, for the most part. And of course, this episode seems like it'll be pretty influential! Kalu is coming back to St Bon's :DD!! That's big news!! I think it'll be really cool having him back 🥰🥰. Looks like I'll have to start doing a Kalu section, lol! I would say again, but it'll be for the first time since I wasn't liveblogging back then xD. And I didn't watch it live anyway, I think I started in 2019 or 2020 lol. Anyway! Still, it'll be super interesting to see ehow everything works out :DD. Like, how it all ends up being from now on. Idk if he's gonna stay around, but it's cool for now! I'm really excited to see what happens :D. And, of course, for the introduction of The Good Lawyer!!! It looks awesome :DD. The episode, and the show/character/concept (both I guess?) as a whole :)). Super excited for that too 🥰🥰. But, back to now, this episode had a ton of great moments. And it was really good in general, not just in moments :)).

Update on my covidness. Covidity?

I'm at 4 weeks since I got sick.

I count last Monday, July 25, as the first day I wasn't actually sick anymore, so I was actively sick-sick for like 17 days. But the fatigue has barely let up - I've had a couple good days but they're usually followed by really bad days. I can basically do One Thing a day, such as helping with dinner or going with my husband to the grocery store (which turned out to be a mistake and wore me WAY out, but I hadn't left the house in three weeks and was desperate).

It's especially bad in my arms - some days my legs feel like I could probably take a walk (I haven't dared yet) but doing almost anything with my arms is exhausting. After the trip to the grocery store, where my husband did most of the work, I was reduced to playing games on my iPad one-handed, switching out hands as each one wore out.

So that's where I am now. Four weeks in I'm not sick, but I'm also hardly capable of doing anything. If this happened during the semester IDK what I would do - I have video lectures from when we were remote that I can use, but I couldn't even fucking grade in the state I'm in.

The only thing I can compare it to is when I was undergoing chemo 18 years ago. It feels so much like that sometimes it's creepy. The way I would be doing okay and then suddenly go way downhill in a matter of minutes - that happened the one time I tried to eat at a restaurant. (Our anniversary was while I was still sick-sick, and the kid was at camp for a week so since I wasn't sick-sick last Friday I was like okay I can sit in a booth and eat for an hour. And I did, and was tired but hanging in there, but around the time we ordered dessert I just crashed.)

The arm tiredness is also similar to chemo. The way some days typing or holding a book is too much for my arms, and holding a video game controller in my lap is the best I can do (I have played a LOT of ACNH let me tell you).

Anyhow. In case anyone was wondering. I really hope this lets up a bit before classes start in 2.5 weeks!

I think my husband & son picked it up at the July 4 parade, which was a Monday. They got sick Wednesday/Thursday. Thursday night I wasn't quite sick but I felt the way I always do right before I get sick so I knew it was coming.

Friday, July 8 was the first day I was definitely sick, fever and all. (I will note that although 100.4 is technically the "fever" cutoff, my baseline body temp tends to be around 97-97.5 instead of 98.6 so I consider anything above 99 as a fever, and even though my immune system is messed up and I'm sick way more than my husband or kid it's still pretty damn rare for me to get a fever even by that measure.) Saturday my temp got up to like 101.5, when I still had a fever Sunday I tested and was positive for Covid.

At that point I thought to test my sense of smell and realized it was mostly gone. My husband realized that the problems he'd been having since his brief sickness Wednesday/Thursday were all due to covid brain fog.

Monday, July 11 I went to a grocery store clinic and got a positive test there and a prescription for Paxlovid. Took Paxlovid like a good girl for five days, but by the time I was done with it I still had a fever and was still testing positive (I tested 24 hrs after my last dose, so on Saturday July 16). I'm assuming it prevented me from getting worse, at least, but I did NOT have the miraculous "I started feeling better two days into Paxlovid!" experience that I've heard from so many others.

Finally that Sunday, the 17th, my temp dropped below 99 and stayed that way. So I had a fever for about 9-10 days straight. I was still very definitely sick, though. My bones still hurt all the time, my sinuses were a mess, headaches on and off, and I had the general "sick feeling" that is often the only symptom I get. My sense of smell and taste were still off, though smell was at least returning. I finally tested negative on Saturday, July 23 but I was still sick for another day or two.

On this lovely Easter Sunday, April 17th 2022, Delicious Party finally came out of its hacker-induced hiatus! And because of that, I'd figure I'd do a late night celebration with one of these! Spoilers, I guess... with a side of mild catching up, a la mode~!

-So, DePaPre! I'm told that we use this because "DeliPre" is something both very different and very not safe for work. I like this, it sounds like everybody's favorite rehash, Decapre from Street Fighter IV! And to a lesser extent, Depeche Mode.

-My favorite so far? Probably Rosemary, he has that sassy gay uncle energy I aspire to. Yui's a great protagonist though, I love her very much. Kokone too! Spicy lass! And Kome-Kome~! Little fox babby! Idk how I feel about Pamu-Pamu yet though, but once Ran finally enters, I assume she and Mem-Mem will be a funny ramen lady and her dank little dragon dude who will help elevate this cast to new heights.

-Idk if I really like Takumi though. He looks like Sans Undertale, yeah, but like... he's not really interesting me so far.

-Oh Toei Animation... you blockheads~! At least you try.

-The same cannot be said for Crunchyroll, however. What a shit service, and anyone who uses it should run away as soon as they can.

-Oishina Town~! What a very lovely place~! Like Aozora City~! But like... making me real hungry. ...I know I'm going around in circles with Today's Special, but I should probably grab a snack. ...even if it's currently a fair bit past 10 PM... maybe next episode.

-When I was a kid, I was a real picky bastard when it came to my food. Kinda comes with the territory of being autistic. Now that I outgrew it, and as an adult who sometimes has to cook for his own family who have actual jobs and social lives, I think I finally understand the depths of my mother's pain when I slave over and nearly burn myself alive and/or decapitate myself while cooking dinner only for it to be left out because somebody didn't feel like eating. I will eat whatever I am served with no complaints for now and forever.

The teacher was a veteran of the restaurant business, and he definitely should've been teaching at an actual culinary college instead of a crappy public school with asbestos in the gym's ceiling and (from what I've heard after I graduated), a lot of violent incidents. Even though I tried my best to behave/get everything done as best I could... I'm still decently sure he didn't like me very much, but that's okay. It's thanks to him that I can never accidentally poison anyone or burn an entire kitchen down.

EXTENDED SUMMARY, CHARACTERS, EXCERPT AND NOTES:

Carmine can taste it. They're hiding something. Humans have such a silly smell about them, turns an overwhelming shade of sweet when they've made a demonic deal. All four of these children have. He just can't figure out what, and more importantly: why.

It keeps him on the surface longer than he should be. Long enough that Lilith sees it fit to send him a fucking trainee? And if that wasn't insult enough, the trainees one of the eternal teenage know-it-alls.

He's already got four annoying toddlers to trail, and now there's one tugging his hand in the new generation's approach to soul-catching like Carmine isn't one of the best employees they've had since the turn of the century.

And somehow, to make it all worse, the trainee is good at it. And if Carmine wants to keep his spot at the top of the food chain, he's going to have to get the soul of that dumb bitch who's running the joint.

But, of course, the kid gets him murdered??? And then has the nerve to figure out how what those toddlers managed to stick their syrupy, grubby little hands in. What gives?

But two can play at that game. If he can't get the dead guy's, then he can have the next best thing.

Jesse has lived just under seventeen years, but he's ready to check out. Or he was. But of course, some selfish bastard had to come along and say you can't ever act on those thoughts again! Don't think like that!

And then the hole kept getting deeper.

He's got blood on his hands and no matter how fucking good it felt to cut off the air supply to the God who stole his innocence, it's probably not going to feel very good to watch his mom suffer through a highly publicized trial with headlines like CHILD MURDERS HIGH PROFILE BENEFACTOR!!!

BEVERLY PINES: A seventeen-year-old cursed to feel the pain of those around her. It makes for some fun family dinners with a sadistic mom and a missing dad. Distance nulls pain, but she can't ever seem to make it past state lines before her mom gets wise and breaks one of her ribs. Oh, well. She's got a bone to pick with psychos like her mom. Apparently, Pastor Dallin was one of them. She doesn't think she could stomach the pain of killing someone, so next best thing, right? (spotify playlist)

CLARICE ANDERMANN: Also a seventeen-year-old cursed to be constantly in motion. It's honestly not that bad. She's Yale bound! Perks of having endless energy for everything to cheerleading to debate contests, though she can't imagine her heart's going to keep up like this. It's already hanging on by a thread. BILLY: An annoying fuck trapped in a seventeen-year-old's body. No curses. The opposite, in fact - blessed with a silver tongue and a keen sense of deduction. It takes him all of two hours to put together (almost) everything about Jesse Nix. He just didn't think he could push the repressed little fuck to murder that quick. There were moments, where she was reminded just how different this voice was, how violent.

She had found Lynette, making off with her makeup that she’d spent her own allowance on. Mavis doted on her and, from what she’d seen of other families, everyone else looked upon their little siblings with contempt, despising the burden they dragged along with their existence.

But Mavis adored Lyn. When she'd been born, her mother had come home with a tiny thing bundled in pink fleece. Mavis had taken to Lyn on sight, thinking Lynette’s headband adorned with a baby blue bow was the universe’s way of telling her happy birthday! as reparations for the ones her mother had missed while she was enduring her week long stay at the hospital.

But that mindset was a disease, one that had finally caught up with her. Had Lynette not become her burden? She was nineteen, busting her back day and night so Lynette wouldn’t have to, that she might avoid the life that Mavis had lived in those blissful six years where it was her and her alone.

Had her mother not tampered down her birthday celebrations since Lynette’s was so very close and they couldn’t afford double anyway? Had Lynette not deprived her of the teenage experiences she heard her classmates speak of, going out and tasting alcohol for the first time while Mavis followed a ten year old Lynette house to house so she could complain of a stomach ache after she’d devoured all the candy on the walk back home?

And now this! Stealing her few precious items, the few things she bothered to save up for, few things she bothered to keep hidden. For what? It wasn’t as though she was ever going to have the courage to ask a peer of her’s out. She was a thief.

One Mavis had made the mistake of taking care of. She should’ve embraced those stirrings of resentment, should’ve left Lynette to her own devices since Lynette didn’t appreciate anything, or even half of what Mavis afforded her. She should’ve left her out in the cold that Christmas. How could anyone have known? It wasn’t as though corpses could talk--

She had let Lyn take off with the whole case, as if to remind herself when she woke up the next morning what she had considered, how vile the thought was.

Lyn had never done anything unforgivable to Mavis. Mavis didn’t suppose she ever could. It was no fault of Lyn’s she didn’t understand what it was like to live with their father. How could she? It was a topic off limits to Lyn by both Mavis and their mother. After all, a child born blind doesn’t know until it’s pointed out to them.

And yet, she found guilt hard to summon. She did, but the speed at which it came, the strength, made her uneasy. What had happened to the girl she was? Lyn had been her world. What had changed?

Then, dully, that other voice, entirely of its own volition, said You did.

I'm so confused right now. (•-•)... like really confused. I saw him again for the first time in months on Sunday night when he came back from a trip with his roommate. It wasn't really that weird at first it was kinda just the "you want some of my drink? You can have some" kinda deal so I was like hm ok why not. Then when I got home he texted me cause I left his birthday in the car without telling him so he was like "Thank you seal ❤️" normally if he had just said thank you seal I'd be like hmm normal but the freaking heart?!?! What the heck is that suppose to mean!!! Then he asked if I put something on and was like you smell very good. Then the next day we hung out again and we went to the casino. It was my first time!! So I was like what the heck is going on here! That wasn't the weird part. The weird part was that he put his arms around my shoulders and before we drove there we were at the bank and he just hugged me. It was kinda just a one arm hug but still it was like wtf?!? He even started playing with my hand and did the thing where he would flop my wrists around. Also he would smell me a lot.Then we went to dinner and then we went to some place called Hollywood hustler and it turns out it was a sex shop...(•_•) he started putting his arm around my shoulder a lot. It's like what the heck!! The whole time I'm like wait don't you have a girlfriend??? Isn't that her on your phone's lock screen?? I just know that it's some girl with her back turned. Idk who exactly it is. So then he started teasing me about the things inside the shop. When I got home he texted me and asked if I had a boyfriend. And I'm just like what the heck?!? He even asked if I was interested in anyone. So I'm confused (•-•).... like my brain is just saying okay what are you planning -.- today we went to get ice cream and we just sat at frosty freeze for a while talking. Btw every day we hung out so far we've been with his roommate too. So today he started doing the flicking the chin thing ppl did a lot in middle school. Like in middle school people would go around flick people's chins and say "my bitch". Except he just flicked my chin and that's it. Also I'm not sure if he did it on purpose but his knee was touching mine when we were sitting at frosty freeze. He still did the same things as he did before like letting me drink his drink, eat his food, smell me, and hug me. But today we went to a DVD/vinyl, etc kinda shop and he was hugging me from behind. So it was like what are you doing??? Tomorrow we're going out to breakfast though. Still I want to ask him what he is thinking but I'm too scared.
