name your vecna-defying song (with or without explaining the choice) and tag 5 st buddies to answer the same
I was tagged by @pizzaqueen. Thank you! I was hoping to get tagged in this one. 😅🎵
For me, the choice was pretty easy:
It’s gotta be Walking on a Dream by Empire of the Sun.
youtube
I was introduced to this song by a stoner friend of a friend, several months before I moved to Hawaii for a couple years. It makes me feel like I can be adventurous and travel anywhere and do anything! I really miss those days. 😭
Runners up = Cosmic Love by Florence & the Machine and Cinema (Skrillex Remix) by Benny Benassi.
I think I only have three ST mutuals and two of them have already done this, so @othermouthstotell if you want to you can do this! 😁
Very little, if anything, gives me more pleasure - in a strange way. Nothing else has ever kept my attention longer than this. Nowhere else have I ever consistently learned something new - no matter how little or seemingly-insignificant - every day. Never have I been so grateful for getting my ass kicked on a regular basis. No matter how much it tells me to quit, I don't. I won't. I can't. Like Brokeback Mountain - I wish I knew how to quit you. You'd think that such a masochistic mentality would transfer to other parts of my life - spoiler alert: it doesn't. Does anyone know the person Benni Benassi or Hoobastank wrote 'Cinema' or 'The Reason', respectively, about? I just want to ask them what it's like to have songs like that written about them. Must feel nice. I had a conversation recently with someone who I thought cared and wanted to stick around. I opened up and told them how much I struggle - that every day is a literal battle with the darkness inside me and how much I hated it. How I wished it wasn't like this. I never got to the point I wanted to make - that I'm still fucking here. And every time it gets bad - and it gets REALLY bad - I always pull through and end up better than before. That I'm too fuckin stubborn to quit and I get better and better each time. I really wanted them to know that. I don't think they ever will now. I'll never stop fighting. Sometimes it's just too dark to see what I'm fighting against. Posted @ckfightlife • @bjjproblems (at Los Angeles, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/CjmGS61rAf5/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
With that one part of this song https://open.spotify.com/track/02FuO3zDHGFAz0yP7HHGvy?si=11_E47zjRiCciwoUcuC0Cw like around the 1:20 mark I think that would be funny
4:A song that reminds you of someone you would rather forget about /// uh, I guess Cinema (Skrillex Remix) by Benny Benassi that reminds me of an ex-boyfriend? That’s the only thing I can think of and it’s not like I ever hear that song?10:A song that makes you sad /// Dying in LA by Panic! at the Disco but it’s so pretty?????? I love it so much.17:A song that would sing a duet with on karaoke /// So story time, one time at work one of my favorite coworkers was at the host stand with me when You’re the One That I Want by Olivia Newton John and John Travolta came on so she was Danny and I was Sandy so definitely that one. That was incredible.
THIS TIME PERIOD PLAYLIST MARKS ONE OF THE EARLIER TIME PERIODS OF I LIVING IN HYATTSVILLE MARYLAND SINCE MAY 19, 2010 WITH MY ANGELIC/SWEET HUSBAND FOLLOWING ME TO HYATTSVILLE MARYLAND IN JUNE 2010. I ADMIT TO ALSO SELECTING THIS TIME PERIOD FOR MULTIPLE REASONS SOME OF WHICH I PREFER TO BE DISCREET/PRIVATE ABOUT THOUGH ONE REASON I FEEL COMFORTABLE ADMITTING IS THAT THIS IS A TIME PERIOD WHERE I AM BOTH INTUITIVELY AND LOGICALLY CERTAIN THAT A MULTIPLE NUMBER OF MY MUSICAL INTERESTS CAME FROM WITHIN MY CREATIVE AIMING, ADVENTURE MINDED, AND FREE SPIRIT MINDED SOUL.
Sun Is Up by Inna-first song to start of part two of my May 19 2010 to October 20 2013 Playlist part two playlist. I enjoy this song because of the cheery vibe.

Million Dollar Girl Diddy Trina Keri Hilson-I confess that I unexpectedly heard this bold song by late 2012/early 2013 from a German music cd import titled Catwalk Megahits 2012 collection. The music collaboration involving Diddy Trina and Keri Hilson have well timed vocals that sync perfectly with the music.
Scream and Shout will.i.am feat. Britney Spears-I am definitely glad to have originally had the chance to unexpectedly enjoy this song around the late 2012/early 2013 timeframe. The vocals from musician will.i.am and Britney Spears and peppy dance music create a thrilling and dynamic song.
ThatPower Will.i.am feat. Justin Bieber-I enjoy the confident and empowering energy of this song. I admit that there is a chance that I might have first started to enjoy this song more after the 2013 timeframe yet definitely by the 2015/2016 timeframe. Still, it feels great to follow my creative intuition to discuss about this song and add it to this post playlist.
Fortune Soul Blackmill-I am lucky to have originally heard this song around the late 2012/early 2013 timeframe and I still have yet to flesh out the full meaning multiple years after hearing it. Still, the beautiful music and magnetic vocals make this a mesmerizing chillout song.

Calabria 2007 by Enur feat. Natasja-I have to credit being introduced to this song by the summer/autumn 2012 timeframe via multiple sources (Pandora etc.) . I am lucky to also have access to hear variations of this song by Enur feat. Natasja from Amazon. I am also thrilled that youtube has kept this song available to listen to online.
Spread A Little Love Havana Brown-I confess that there are other songs by her that I also enjoy. However, my creative intuition/intuitive spirit influenced me to hear this happy/upbeat song tonight which I am fortunate to have originally heard by the March 6 2013 timeframe.
Supernatural Kesha-This is definitely one of Kesha’s more push the envelope songs that also happen to be very creative, as this song appears to be made in a music storytelling format. Regardless of the meaning, I am definitely glad that I unintentionally discovered this song by the late 2012/early 2013 timeframe after purchasing her Warrior music collection.
I Will Wait Mumford and Sons-I admit that I have been hearing this phenomenal song at times unexpectedly more often lately for whatever reason from either ihearttradio andor amazon music. Kilometer (A-Trak Remix) Sebastien Tellier-I truly wish that I could remember the exact title of the music compilation that introduced me to this fantastic song by the 2012 timeframe. The music and lyrics are a touch smoldering yet in a memorable way.
Whole Lotta Love Led Zeppelin-The guitars, music, and vocals flow together in an imaginative progression. The current photo image on youtube matches similar to the version of this song that I first heard by around the December 2010 timeframe.
You Look So Fine Garbage-I actually first heard some of the songs by Garbage during the 90s as a teenager because one of the local rock radio stations played their music frequently. However, I admit to surprisingly coming across this compelling song by around the March 16 2013 timeframe.

4 The Rest Of My Life Robin Thicke-I am lucky to have heard this brilliant and soulful song by around the August 2013 timeframe.
The Logical Song Scooter-This is another sensational dance/trance song that I first heard by the autumn/winter 2012 timeframe that from a European music import cd collection. I find it a fascinating music tribute to Super Tramp’s classic rock version of The Logical song.

Lucky Strike by Maroon 5-I admit that this song’s title having a metaphorical comparison to a bowling game is one of the multiple reasons why this song stays on my mind from time to time after first hearing the song around the August 1, 2012 timeframe (from Maroon 5’s Overexposed music collection-their deluxe edition).
Witchy Woman by The Eagles (youtube version of Live at the Los Angeles Forum 10/20-22/76)-I confess that a version of this song penetrated my soul when I first heard it by the May 2012 timeframe (after hearing it on one of the Eagles Greatest Hits collection). I find this to be a magnificent classic rock song.

24. A song that you think is really overplayed
I don’t really listen to the radio. I mean, I don’t avoid listening to the radio! Again, I’m not trying to be elitist or anything, I just only really listen for very brief periods of time, in other people’s cars, so I don’t really listen often enough to find any songs annoyingly overplayed?
