Boozle's 2023 Top Ten Dramas

I've been really enjoying reading everyone's top lists of the year, and I've actually been thinking about my own for a few weeks now, because I knew how hard it would be for me to put my lists together! Basically, in terms of Asian drama series, I watched a lot this year. According to my MDL, I have completed 99 dramas for the whole year. (Disclaimer: not all of these were BL, and a handful were short films. Regardless, I still think that's a ridiculous amount and I understand why people think I have no life x_x) So, I think you all can understand why these lists are going to be a little difficult for me!

Note: Everything I say here is my own personal thoughts and opinions. I'm not trying to attack anyone for liking something I don't, or disliking something I loved. We're all pals here, okay? <3

Top Ten Dramas (Note: not all dramas were released in 2023.)

(i) He's Coming to Me (2019) After watching Something in my Room last year, I swore to never watch another 'ghost boyfriend' series because gosh, even if ghosts are my favourite spooky thing, my heart cannot handle the pain of a sad ending. However, Ohm and Singto sucked me in, and this was just lovely and even gave me a happier ending than I'd expected. I'm a little sad that I was so late to this series, but it has definitely found it's place in my heart.

(ii) My School President (2022/23) I still can't believe that I originally thought this was gonna suck and only started it because I wanted to see what everyone was fussing over. I became so invested in these lads and gosh, I fell in love with the cast (minus Prom, who still irks me). Fourth, Gemini and Mark were absolute standouts in this, and I honestly cannot wait for My Love Mix-Up! because they will be fantastic.

(iii) Moonlight Chicken (2023) This is a surprise to no one, because it seems like it's on everyone's favourites list. Again, though, this was a surprising hit for me; I originally only planned on watching for First and Khaotung because I didn't really know Earth and Mix very well (I only started watching BL at the tail end of 2022, so I feel like I was still a little bit of a newbie at the time) and I just fell in love with EarthMix. They have chemistry that is just so mesmerising and belongs to them. The writing of this series was also just perfect, and the cast was wonderful. It deserves all the accolades it's been getting, and I honestly think this will always be a favourite of mine.

(iv) Choco Milk Shake (2022) In all honesty, I expected this to be weird because it's literally about a guy's pets coming back as humans and his dog falls in love with him and his cat falls in love with his uncle. It sounds like it should be creepy, but it really isn't. I sobbed like an absolute baby during this, and whilst I found the ending a little confusing, I loved it. I really hope we get that rumoured second season.

(v) The Gifted (2018) & The Gifted: Graduation (2020) Okay, I'm including both seasons of The Gifted because I loved them both for their own reasons. However, one of the main things I loved about this series was that it made me appreciate actors I'd never cared much for before. I didn't get all the fuss about Gun Attaphan until I watched this (and yes, I'd already seen Not Me), but I thought he was spectacular in this. Chimon and Nanon were fantastic, and I really loved Mek and Victor, even if they weren't as porminent and I'd have liked.

(vi) A Boss and Babe (2023) Ah, my first experience of ForceBook. I would die for these men. This was a bloody brilliant series, and if you want my honest opinion, it really showed how fantastic Book is at acting, because Cher is nothing like any other character he has portrayed. I loved the backstories and the little nuances, and the supporting cast was fantastic, too. This series deserves more credit and respect (but can we pretend the Our Skyy 2 episodes never happened? Because they were so weird.)

(vii) Beyond Evil (2021) This is probably the best Kdrama I watched all year. It had everything I need - murder, mystery, tortured men with tragic backstories, plus twists and turns in every damn episodes. The acting and writing was superb and I'm honestly depressed there isn't going to be a season 2 (as far as I know?).

(viii) Only Friends (2023) Okay, I know we all have our complaints about things that went wrong with OF, but you know what? I still loved it. Yes, I still think the creators made mistakes with allowing fan opinions to influence the editing and I'm bitted about the treatment of Boston in the end, but I loved these characters and their stories. The cast put their heart and soul into their performances (especially Khaotung and Force) and I really hope we get to see them in future series' together again, as they all work so well together.

(ix) I Feel You Linger in the Air (2023) This was another series I didn't expect to enjoy as much as I did, yet I was there with the rest of you, bawling my eyes out when it ended. Despite the fact my dream career is a historian, I often don't enjoy historical dramas, so I put this off for the first few weeks of it airing until all the gif sets finally forced me to check it out. The cast was fantastic, and the writing was brilliant. I will be broken hearted if they don't get a second season, because they deserve it.

(x) I told Sunset About You (2020) & I Promised You the Moon (2021) I'm including both series as one since technically it's just season 1 and season 2. I loved these shows. They were the most realistic portrayals of young teenage queer love that I have seen in so long. I know a lot of people get angry with Teh in IPYTM but by gosh, my heart just hurt for that confused boy; Billkin's crying is so tragically realistic and as much as I too hated that he was hurting Oh-Aew, I also could understand the confusing feelings that come with growing up. Oh-Aew was just...perfect. PP Krit really just cut my chest open, crawled inside and made a little home for himself with this performance. My only issue is that these two haven't been in anything else together since, and I really hope 2024 fixes that, because as much as I support their music careers, I need them on my screen again.

There she finally was.

Fíli licked his lips, suddenly feeling extremely aware of himself. He straightened his tunic, hoping that the vibrant blue color wouldn’t be too obvious. He usually wore more modest colors, but since uncle Thorin (even at his age!) seemed to get loads of attention in these shades of blue, the prince had decided to give it a go.

But seriously. Did he look ridiculous? He nervously glanced around, but nobody seemed to mind him. Except the beautiful woman. Her E/C eyes traveled lazily over his appearance before she gave him a soft smile. The smooth move set his cheeks on fire and the prince quickly turned away.

‘Hey, Kíli.’ He murmured.

His brother seemed to be in another zone again, now talking animatedly with one of the bar wenches. It wouldn’t come as a surprise if the dark-haired prince managed to take one of them home for the night.

‘Kíli!’ he nevertheless tried again, now more deliberate.

‘What?’ the youngest Durin said irritably, turning his head. ‘What now?’

‘How do I look?’

Aaaaah thank you so much for asking me this, @legolaslovely !! I'm so psyched to answer this... Let's start with the DVD commentary for 'Vibrant Blue - Fíli x reader'!

I remember writing this as the sixth fic of the day for my Fíli appreciation week in 2019 (two years ago already ughhhh whyy). Though I had planned to finish writing my own seven contributions, life happened and suddenly I found myself halfway through Fíli appreciation week and still having 2-3 fics to do. I hate to rush my writing, but there was nothing for it and I pushed myself to find a plot suitable for the theme (his boyish good looks).

The theme suited a tavern setting perfectly (like, where are the Durin's going to show off their boyish good looks if not the tavern? ;D) and I remember going with post BOTFA because slightly matured prince Fíli is irresistable.

So then I thought... what happens when we place the princes in the tavern? They're both tired and bored after a long workweek. How will they handle this sudden freedom?

Haha, as you can guess... Kíli goes all the way. He's drunk and makes a fool out of himself, but somehow still manages to get a girl to spend the night with him (I blame his boyish good looks ;D). Fíli (bless this gentle, cute and DREAMY soul!) is much more reserved. He's next in line for the throne and he feels that weight on his shoulders all the time. He doesn't allow himself to let loose even a little. His uncle is counting on him to be responsible.

Ugh, poor baby.

So as I pictured this tired, sweet prince sitting on that barstool, I asked myself why he would want to go out anyway. What would motivate him to leave his duties be for a while?

Aaahh, there she was! A love interest. I didn't want to go with a 'handsome, confident prince seduces woman' trope because that would be the obvious direction, so instead I pictured Fíli slightly insecure. Don't get me wrong, he's used to getting attention from the females, but the fact that he's a prince probably have a lot to do with that. Or, so Fíli believes (I'd say it's because he's so charming ughh!). So when he sees this beautiful woman in the tavern, who probably has no clue who he is, Fíli just... pines after her- haha! I think the fact that she's solid dating material makes him especially nervous.

Ohhh and the tunic colour! We had to get those looks into the story as well... In my mind, Fíli had decided that night that he was going make a move on his crush and he wanted to look his best. We often look to our role models (awwwww) for guidance, so I guess that's why he chose to wear vibrant blue, just like his uncle.

But Fíli is ALSO SMOOTH AS FUCK and quickly finds his mojo back once she has made the move... And oohhh she is going to fall so hard for him!!!

Vibrant blue turned out to be such a joy to write, despite the pressure I was under at the time. Fíli is such a sweet and pleasant character to work with and whenever I write about him, whatever plot I try to write just comes to me naturally. I adore our golden lion and I should write more fics about him...

Reader first moved to RAW and started dating Dolph, 3 months later Finn also got a shake up to RAW. Dolph had to move to Smack Down and the reader and Dolph relationship ended because of that.”

“Finny!” you shout, running up to your best friend. Finn Balor turns around and looks at you.

He smiles and says, “Hey. What’s up? How’d the meeting go?”

You basically shout, “I’m moving to the Raw roster!”

Finn’s smile drops a bit but you don’t notice it. “Raw?” he asks. “I thought ya like it here on NXT.”

You look up at Finn and say, “Ya know that I’ve wanted to go to Raw for a while.”

“I know,” he says. “Ya haven’t been on NXT for that long and I thought ya liked it here.”

You say, “I can talk to Regal and to Vince to get ya moved to Raw with me.”

Finn shakes his head and says, “I’m staying here for a while. I had my time on Raw and they never used me right.”

You pout and say, “I’ll still come visit when I’m home. I’ll be home all the time, I promise.”

He smiles at you and says, “I’m proud of ya for being moved to Raw. Ya will be the best damn announcer that the red brand has ever seen.”

“And I better be the first person ya call after ya win the NXT title,” you say.”

You smile at your best friend and he says, “Of course. Ya will be the first person I call after I win the title.”

“I better be,” you say. “Maybe I’ll come back to NXT eventually but I’ll make sure to watch every week.”

You smile and hug Finn.

When you were told that you were being promoted to Raw, it was a bittersweet moment. You love NXT and you love the roster. Not to mention you don’t want to leave Finn, your best friend and crush since day one in NXT. You’re both from Ireland and have always stuck together. It’s how you became such close friends.

Now you’re leaving and you hate that you are.

*** present day - november 2019 ***

You sit in your dressing room, brushing out your long brunette hair. You hum quietly to yourself as you brush your hair.

There’s a soft knock on your door so you get up to answer it. You open the door, revealing your boyfriend Dolph Ziggler. “Hey,” you say, smiling. “I was just about to come see you.”

You have Dolph have been together since you moved to Raw three weeks ago. He asked you out the day you arrived and have been together since.

He kisses your cheek before walking into your dressing room. Dolph says, “The shake up is today and I was just told that I’m moving to the Smackdown roster.”

You look at Dolph and say, “I thought ya told them that ya wanted to stay on Raw.”

“I did tell them but they’re moving Bobby and I to Smackdown,” he says as you approach him. He looks down at you. “We’re going to be on different brands, Y/N.”

You hug him and say, “We’ll make it work, Dolph. We have to.”

He runs his fingers through your hair and say, “I would love to make it work, Y/N. I would love to, but you know what it’s like when couples work on different brands. It rarely ever works out.”

You look up at Dolph and ask, “What are ya saying, Dolph?”

Dolph says, “You know how much I like you and how much I like being with you, but we can’t be together if we’re on different brands. It never works out in the long run.”

“So you’re saying we should break up?” you ask.

He nods in response. “Maybe one day we can reconnect but right now, we can’t be together,” Dolph says.

For some reason, you’re not disappointed by this news. You like Dolph but you’ve always thought that there was someone better for you out there.

Someone like Finn Balor.

You miss Finn. You haven’t spoken in a month because of your schedules. He's been busy defending his title on NXT and you've been busy with being an announcer. You've tried to find time to talk to Finn but either he's busy or you're busy.

Dolph says, "I'll, uh, see you around, Y/N."

"Ya too, Dolph," you say. Dolph leaves your dressing room and you sigh. You go grab your phone and try calling Finn.

Finn doesn't answer, leaving you upset.

There's another knock on your door and you answer it. Triple H stands at your door. "Hi," you say, surprised. "Can I help ya with something?"

Triple H says, "Just coming by to drop off the card for tonight. Pierce is sick."

That's when it hits you. Triple H usually runs things surrounding the NXT brand. You ask, "Is NXT involved in something tonight?"

"Possibly," he says. "If I can get Vince's approval. This is the card with the matches on with that NXT is involved in."

You nod and take the card, reading over it.

Adam Cole versus Drew McIntyre. Lana and Dana Brooke versus Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler. Seth Rollins versus a mystery opponent is slated to be the main event tonight. "Who's Seth's opponent?" you ask.

Triple H says, "I don't know. He's issuing an open challenge tonight. That's all I know."

You nod and say, "Well, thank you for the card." He gives you a kind smile before walking off. You close the door and sigh.

NXT is getting involved and you can't help but wonder if one Irishman is going to be making an appearance.

To distract yourself, you get into the attire that was left in here for you. A lacey black dress that sparkles. Your shoulders and arms are the only parts of your body that can be seen under the dress because the lace is sheer. The dress falls to just above your knees.

A third person knocks on your door as you're about to do your makeup. You answer it, revealing your best friend, Becky Lynch. She smiles and says, "Look at ya. Looking all snazzy. I like the dress."

You smile and let her in. "Thank you," you say. "But I have no control over my wardrobe. The dress is kinda cute though."

Becky kind of laughs and sits down. You do your makeup as Becky says, "I heard Dolph's moving to Smackdown."

"Yeah, he is," you say. "He came in here and said that relationships don't really last when the couple is on two different rosters. Well, he said that it usually doesn't work out, so he ended it." You shrug.

Your best friend squints her eyes at you and says, "Ya don't seem that upset about it."

You do your eyeshadow and say, "I liked Dolph, but I always thought that there could be someone out there that's better for me."

As you speak, your mind wanders to Finn. You wonder how he's doing. You hope that maybe you'll catch a glimpse of him tonight. Maybe he'll be Seth's mystery opponent. You don't know.

Becky says, "Someone like Finn Balor? Because he's calling ya."

Quickly, you grab your phone that you threw on the couch and you answer the phone. "Finn?" you say as soon as you answer it."

"Hey," he says. "There's my favorite announcer. How ya doing?"

You smile and say, "Fine. I'm doing okay. How are ya doing?"

Finn says, "I've been better. I saw ya called and I wanted to see if something was wrong."

Becky points at you and mouths, "I knew it." You wave her off and say into the phone, "Nothing's wrong. I was just thinking about ya earlier so I thought I'd ring ya to see if ya were busy."

He says, "I'm a little busy but I have a second to talk."

"I was just getting ready for Raw but I can stop for a second," you say.

Finn laughs softly and says, "So, tell me about Dolph. Everything okay there? Ya seemed happy the last time we talked."

You say, "I, um, we kinda broke up. He's being moved to Smackdown because of the shakeup tonight."

He's quiet before he says, "Oh, that's terrible. I'm sorry."

You shrug and say, "It's fine. I know there's someone better for me out there." You glance at the time. "I have to go now but can I call ya later?"

"Yeah," he says. "Call me after Raw is over and we'll actually talk for more than a few minutes."

You smile and say, "Okay. I'll talk to ya later then."

You both say your goodbyes and you hang up the phone.

Becky says, "Tell me how long ya have had a thing for Finn Balor. I don't blame ya, by the way. That man is very attractive. Maybe not as attractive as Seth but still attractive."

You laugh and say, "I've had a thing for him since our NXT days. Basically since day one." You rub the back of your neck. "I'm sure he doesn't feel the same way about me though so I never said anything to him about it."

She laughs and says, "Tell him. You're single now and ya said that there was someone better than Dolph Ziggler out there for ya. What if that person is Finn?"

"He's not on this brand either," you say. "He's NXT champion so he wouldn't have time for me anyway."

Becky says, "Well, that's not true. When Seth was Universal Champion, he still had time for me."

You blink at her and say, "You and Seth were champions at the same time, Becky. You traveled together for press and everything."

She thinks for a second and says, "Yeah. That's very true. Okay, anyway. I have a match tonight against Asuka so Imma go get ready for that. I'll see ya out there."

You nod and finish getting ready for the show tonight.

There are five matches on the card tonight, plus the main event. The first match was Dana Brooke and Lana versus Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax. Shayna and Nia won.

The next match was Becky versus Asuka for the title. Asuka retained, which left Becky mad.

The third match was a six-man tag match, with three teams of two. Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston are a team against the teams of my now ex-boyfriend Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode and two members of the Undisputed Era, Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick Strong. It's basically a mini Survivor Series match, minus the eliminations. The stipulation is if the Undisputed Era loses, they stay on NXT. If they win, they get moved up to Raw.

The Undisputed Era wins the match and all four of them are now members of the Raw roster.

The fourth match is Keith Lee versus Braun Strowman. Keith wins.

The fifth match is Drew McIntyre versus Adam Cole. Randy Orton interferes and costs Drew the match.

It's main event time. Seth's music hits and you say into your microphone, "Making his way down to the ring, he is the Monday Night Messiah, Seth Rollins."

Seth gets into the ring. He doesn't have his disciple, Murphy, with him as he's handed a microphone. "So, as you can see, my disciple Murphy isn't here with me tonight. That's because he's a traitor and left me. So, I'm issuing an open challenge for anyone to come out here and prove to me that they have what it takes to be my disciple. Come on, anyone. From Raw or Smackdown, or even NXT. Come on out."

Everyone looks at the stage to wait and see who comes out. Everyone in the arena waits.

And that's when Finn Balor's music hits. Your jaw almost drops, happy and excited to see Finn with his title. The crowd jumps up and cheers. You smile in the timekeeper's area as Finn makes his way down to the ring. He's handed a mic on the way down.

Seth has a smile on his lips as he looks at that title around Finn's waist, who's dressed and ready for a match in his white ring gear and a matching white leather jacket. This is the gear he wore in his last main roster match at Summerslam in 2019 before he went back to NXT in October. The NXT title is now over his shoulder as he steps into the ring.

Finn is looking at Seth. His music fades and he says, "Hi, Seth. So, I heard ya are looking for a match tonight. How's this? Ya and I in the ring right now. If ya win, then ya get my title and I'll be your new whatever ya call it. If I win, I keep my title and ya never can challenge for this title, or any title that I hold, whether it's the WWE Championship or the United States Champion. I think ya get the point."

You look over at Seth and he says, "You're on Balor. Let's get a referee out here and get this started."

The crowd cheers and you're handed a card with something to read on it. You nod and as the guys get ready in the ring. You look up and say, "This match has just been made official by WWE officials. The following match is scheduled for one fall and is for the NXT Championship. Introducing first the challenger, weighing in at 217 pounds, from Davenport, Iowa. He is the Monday Night Messiah, Seth Rollins."

You listen as the crowd boos Seth. You forgot how much the WWE Universe loves Finn Balor.

Once the crowd dies down, you talk into the microphone again. "Weighing in at 190 pounds, from Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland, he is NXT Champion. Finn Balor," you say, smiling as the name Finn Balor leaves your lips. The crowd cheers. Finn looks at you and points at you, making your face heat up.

The ref takes the belt and holds it above his head. Someone runs over and grabs it, bringing the belt back to the little area. You look at the gold belt. It looks so pretty with Finn's side plates on it.

The bell rings and the match is underway. Your eyes are on Finn the whole time.

It takes 20 minutes but Finn hits the Coup de Grace and pins Seth, retaining his title. You take the belt and run to the ring, not being able to hold in your excitement. You bring your microphone with you because you have one more thing left to say.

Once you're in the ring, you almost tackle Finn with a hug. He hugs you back and you hand him his title.

"And still NXT Champion, Finn Balor," you say as Finn's music blares in the arena.

He looks down at you and takes your microphone. You stare up at him as he says, "I, uh, I need to say something really quick."

The crowd dies down and you stare up at your best friend. He looks at his title and he says, "This title isn't mine anymore. This title isn't mine anymore because as of this moment, I am on the Raw roster. As a full-time Raw superstar, I cannot hold the NXT title." He puts the title down on the ground before looking at you. "But as a full-time Raw superstar, I can spend all the time in the world with ya. Travel with ya, talk to ya whenever I want. And most importantly, take ya on a date or two whenever we want."

Your eyes widen as you stare up at Finn, realizing that he has feelings for you too.

"If ya would like, of course," Finn finishes with. The crowd collectively gasps as they wait for your answers.

Finn's arm is still around your waist and you're still standing close to him. So, you give your answer in the one way you've been wanting to. You put your hands on Finn's face and pull his face down to yours. Your lips crash to his and immediately begin moving against them.

He smiles into the kiss and drops the microphone, wrapping both your arms around his neck as his arms wrap around your waist.

The crowd cheers loudly as you kiss Finn in the ring.

Eventually, you and Finn make your way back to your hotel room. He tells you about what he had to do to get to Raw.

Since NXT was part of the shakeup this year, there was a chance that he could get sent to Raw. It was small because he held the NXT title. So after some negotiations with William Regal, Triple H, and Vince McMahon, he would voluntarily relinquish his title after a match tonight. So that's what he did. He voluntarily relinquished his title and is now apart of the Raw roster.

He also told Vince that he wants a run or two at the WWE Championship, which is held by Drew McIntyre. Vince agreed because he knows the fans love Finn versus Drew. Add a title in there and it makes for a few good championship matches.

Once back at the hotel room, Finn says, "I need to shower really quick then we can watch movies or something for a bit."

You nod and watch as Finn disappears into the bathroom, closing the door behind him. The water starts and you sigh.

It would be really bad if you just walked into the bathroom and told him everything that you've been feeling, especially tonight.

When Finn walked out in the white gear, a little ache formed in your core and you tried what you could to stop it.

Your feet are carrying you to the bathroom before you can do anything. You shed the dress and your shoes before walking into the bathroom.

The shower in the bathroom is a glass stand up shower. Most of the glass is distorted but the top maybe 16 inches aren't so you can see from Finn's chest up. His eyes are closed as he rinses his hair.

Quickly, you take off the bra and panties you're wearing before you open the door to the shower. Finn looks down at you and asks, "Y/N, what are ya doing?"

"Saving water," you say. "Kinda."

He smiles down at you as you close the glass door. You stare up at him and he asks, "Now what are ya really doing?"

You say, "Seeing ya in the white gear tonight made me feel things, Finn. I know I shouldn't just get in the shower with ya, but-" You're interrupted by Finn's lips coming down to yours. You gasp, surprised by the kiss.

His lips move against yours before he pulls back and says, "Ya are telling me ya want me to, what?"

You stare up at him and say, "Whatever ya want, Finn. I just need ya to do something to me."

Finn smirks a bit and his hands come down to your waist. He guides you so your back is against the wall. You stare up at Finn and he says, "Is this what ya really want? I want to make sure it's what ya want one hundred percent."

Your hands rest on his chest and you nod. "It's what I want, Finn," you say. "I've wanted this for a while."

He smiles and kisses you. The kiss is rougher than the kiss in the ring and his hands start to roam. Soft sighs leave your lips. As the two of you share the kiss, Finn moves and presses you against the cold wall of the shower. Your hands are on Finn's cheeks, slipping your tongue into his mouth. Finn smirks against your lips.

The kiss continues for a second before Finn leans down and picks you up by your thighs. You wrap your legs around his waist as Finn pulls back from your lips and he starts to kiss your neck.

A soft moan escapes your lips as your hands slide into Finn's short wet hair. You smile and say, "This has gotten longer since we last saw each other."

Finn smirks and looks up at you, detaching his lips from your neck. He says, "I'm guessing ya like it."

You giggle and nod, saying, "It gives me something to hold onto." He laughs and kisses you again.

He reaches to the side and turns the water off. Carefully and slowly, Finn leaves the shower with you wrapped around him. He's careful not to slip on the tile floor of the bathroom as he leaves the room.

Finn walks out to one of the beds, laying you on your back. The kiss breaks as he looks down at you, eyes wandering all over your body.

"I've imagined how ya looked for weeks and this exceeded all of my expectations," he says, smiling down at you.

You giggle and stare up at him, saying, "I could say the exact same thing." You glance down at his semi-erect member that's poking at your thigh.

He starts to kiss your jaw and he says, "You're so beautiful. I can't believe that maybe you'll be mine after this."

Sighing, you say, "I've been yours this entire time, Finn."

Finn smirks against your neck. You slide your hands down his sides and use one of your hands to stroke Finn's member. He gasps a bit against the skin against your neck. You feel him begin to harden as you stroke him.

"Keep going like that and I won't last as long as ya probably want me to," he gasps.

You leave kisses to his head and say, "We have all night, Finn. And all day tomorrow."

He looks up at you and says, "Good, because I won't be able to stop once I've started."

You reach up, pecking his lips before you say, "Then start."

Finn smirks a bit before he kisses you harder than he ever has before. You sigh softly against his lips as he runs his tip through your already soaked folds. "Finn," you mumble against his lips. "Please. Tease me another time. I need ya right now."

Slowly, Finn begins to push himself into you. You gasp into the passionate kiss.

You're not a virgin but you're not really that experienced in bed. Finn knows this so he's making sure he's careful with you. On the other hand, you know how experienced Finn is in bed. He's never had to tell you. You used to travel with him when you worked for the NXT brand and stayed in the hotel room next to him sometimes. He's not really that quiet, and neither is whoever he's with.

He moves slowly and shallowly at first, making sure that he's not hurting you. The little bit of pain that you feel slowly melts away to pleasure, and you're a little bit of a moaning mess underneath Finn's body. You drag your fingers down Finn's back as he moves.

Every few minutes, Finn picks up speed and thrusts deeper into you. You wrap your legs around Finn's waist again. Your back arches off the bed ooccationally and chase Finn's hips. He slips deeper into you, making you moan and gasp under Finn.

A wave of confidence overtakes you a couple minutes later. You roll so you're straddling Finn's waist with him still inside you.

Finn stares up at you as you begin to move your hips, riding him. Finn intertwines his fingers with yours and helps hold you up. You throw your head back as you bounce up and down on Finn's now rock hard member. Moans escape your lips and Finn grunts and growns beneath you.

Your walls begin to clench around Finn and you moan, "Finn, baby. I'm about to come."

"Come, princess," he gasps, thrusting up into you as you move your hips.

Your eyes are squeezed shut and you release around Finn as he quickly pulls out of you and comes all over your stomach. You collapse onto Finn, your sweaty chests sticking together as you come down off your high.

Finn wraps his arms around your shoulders and you sigh, your ear pressed against his chest. His heart is beating quickly. You feel him leave kisses on your forehead. You smile and look up at him, resting your chin on his chest. Finn smiles down at you.

"So what do ya say?" he asks. "Will ya officially be mine?"

You giggle and nod, leaning up and pecking his lips. "Yes."

Even though it was just last month that I revealed it here on tumblr, two years ago on this very day— August 25th— was the day where Override was first conceived! Back in 2019, Override was immensely different than what it is today; at the time, it wasn't even called Override, nor did it take place in a universe designed by my own hand per se.

By that, I mean that it originally took place in the Earthbound/MOTHER continuity (PSI powers included!) and, for the longest time, went by the name "MOTHER: Into the Unknown". It would have been set directly after the events of Earthbound, and still retained its Y2K plot elements... loosely. Like I said, its story back then was a lot different.

Though, more on pre-Override trivia for a future post. I was debating on whether or not I should post something to commemorate the two-year anniversary of Override's creation... until I realized I still had a battle sprite to show off. So, as a nice continuation to Override's first actual teaser...

... here's what happens next!

When it came time to think of a few enemy types for Override, I knew that I wanted an enemy similar to that of the MOTHER series' Starman, something that could come in a few different forms but ultimately be recognizable regardless of variation. And so, with a few sketches here and there...

I designed the SGN-DRN— the Synergon Drone! The Synergon Drone was created with two specific inspirations; the L'il UFO from Earthbound and a pinch of a Mega Man-esque aesthetic, combined with my usual character design philosophy. The Synergon Drone's initial design sketch portrayed it to look a lot wider (You can see this version of the design in the original teaser), but was eventually slimmed down a bit.

And spriting the Synergon Drone was no picnic, either. I actually decided to start from scratch at one point when I had already drawn at least 40% of it because I knew that it could look a lot better with enough tweaking, and surprisingly enough, I pulled it off! A whole lot of colors were used in the Synergon Drone's battle sprite, but that only makes it a lot more visually pleasing!

I also went ahead and not only sprited an overworld sprite for the Synergon Drone, but animated its rotors, too! On its own, this makes for a really solid gif, and I'm impressed with myself that I was able to cram all of its details into a much smaller, size-accurate overworld sprite!

The last thing I'd like to talk about are a few aspects of the battle screen that I sprited, featuring Lauren's first (hostile) encounter with a piece of Synergon tech. There are a few things that you'll notice are new in this battle screen compared to the last one, such as what it looks like when you're laying out your attack strategy as well as an adorable sprite I made of Lauren deep in thought.

It was a whole lot of fun making this new battle screen against a Synergon Drone, though next time when I upload another mockup of an in-game screenshot, it will instead be an overworld scene where I'll test out my skills in tilesetting. For the time being, I hope you've enjoyed the spritework as always!

Destiel wasn't supposed to happen

Castiel, the rebellious son that changes his Father's plans

Supernatural 15x04 meta. 15x04 spoiler. Destiel meta. Castiel meta.

Hi! Okay I really thought I wouldn't write another meta, but this is important revelation we have here...

Remember I said in my previous meta here Chuck had afraid of CAS? That's why he wasn't writing him?

And this post here my friend @magnificent-winged-beast did... About how Cas could be important saving the day by the end of the show? Okay, I'm gonna prove here why every decision Castiel did, it wasn't supposed to happen from the very beginning... And how this had affected Chuck's favorite show.

Let's start this...

Castiel's wasn't part of the Winchesters's story

This is it. In episode 4x22 Castiel wasn't supposed to rebel and wasn't supposed to help Dean and Cas to stop the Apocalypse...

Look at Chuck face... He's not amused...

So, if Cas wasn't supposed to be with the Winchesters, then it wasn't supposed to Dean and him fell in love with each other. First important fact: DESTIEL WASN'T WRITTEN BY CHUCK. Is part of Castiel's and Dean's decision.

Not just that but each decision Castiel had taken, and this is logic, wasn't written by Chuck, and it always ended up by complicating Chuck's Bro-only storyline.

But... How many choices Castiel's had taken against his Father's will??? Because then... Each one of those choices and decisions... Doesn't supposed to happen...

Let's see...

The first one that introduces Castiel inside the Winchesters's story is the rebellion against Heaven.

But we have more...

He came back to life... But without memories of Sam and Dean

We are agreed all the Godstiel drama was Chuck's bad writing... Oh Lord is easy now to just threw things to one fictional character and not the real writers here 🤣.

But then... We had Emmanuel... Emmanuel had no memories of Dean, or Sam. So, and because he's Cas, the one that born with a crack in his chasis, se could say, it doesn't supposed to remember Dean and Sam. But he did...

So, against Chuck's will I presume, Castiel was back in the game.

He was brainwashed several times to kill Dean, but he didn't

Angel follow orders. God's orders, God's words. So, everything Naomi did, it was written by Chuck.

As we know, Castiel had to kill Dean, but he didn't, so... Again, it wasn't supposed Castiel break the connection with Heaven and disobey. But there's this little thing called Destiel here... That wasn't in Chuck's plan... So... Boom. Another decision against Father's desires and bad writing.

Love love love, Chuck didn't write this for sure.

When Castiel wasn't there, Dean took Cain's mark

Dean was with Crowley, he left that time, and he took Cain's mark, a bad decision, obviously written by Chuck too.

So... Castiel was human and he wasn't supposed to become an angel again, because we know everything Chuck's writes is to keep Cas away from the brothers, but... Our sexy Commander did this...

And he was back in the game!

There's ba huge and blatant parallel between episode 9x18 and this season... Metatron was doing God's job, literally, he was a writer writing a story, just like Chuck, using Cas, Dean and Sam and manipulating them...

Episode 9x18 Meta Fiction starts with Metatron saying these words...

METATRON: What makes a story work? Is it the plot, the characters, the text? The subtext? And who gives a story meaning? Is the writer? Or you?

He pauses before mentioning subtext, which is very interesting knowing subtext is pivotal for Destiel but... Let's jump to another quotes Metatron says in this episode...

METATRON: Tonight, I thought I'd tell you a little story...Let you decide. That was my plan, anyway. I guess that's where my story failed.

(he stops the music and removes CASTIEL's gag. He then pulls back CASTIEL's coat and looks at the torn pocket.)

Yes. This is "The Curious Incident," eh, inspector Gregory?

Remember this? METATRON had written a little story in which Gave was there asking Castie to lead the angel's, but Cas saw his trenchcoat was entire, and he recalled it had a torn pocket, that's how he breaks with that fictional dream or wherever that was. This is very very important because if Metatron in CARVER ERA were mirroring Chuck, and Cas was the one who made Metatron's plans fail he could be the one to make Chuck's ugly end fail now.

CASTIEL: And you did all this to make me a hero?

METATRON [laughing] Ah, that's priceless. Um no. You are not the hero in this mess-terpiece. You are the villain. I'm the hero.

Gosh! Always think about Metatron as if he was Chuck, he doesn't want to CAS to be the hero, he wants to use him, and then he be the hero, or the great writer.

METATRON: Do you know why I didn't kill you after I stole your Grace? I like you. Truly. Among all God's little windup toys, you were the only one with any spunk. I left you human because I was hoping you would live happily ever after, but you screwed that up, too. And now... Uh, you leave me no choice. I mean, if you want to get back on board, fine, but you're gonna have to follow my script.

CASTIEL: Well, based on your assessment, that doesn't sound like me.

Okay, here... You're gonna have to follow my script and Castiel answering THAT DOESN'T SOUND LIKE ME!! SO...

Castiel doesn't follow any script, not Metatron's not Chuck's !!!!!

And that's why Chuck doesn't want him, that's why he's afraid to mention him or write about him!!

DEAN: Why are you doing this?

METATRON: Because I can. Because you and your little brother and your fine, feathered friend and all those secrets you've got locked away in your bunker can't stop me. But I am gonna enjoy watching you try. It's gonna be a hell of a show. I'll see you around, Castiel. Never forget I gave you a chance.

Is the same and exact words Chuck is saying in this season, so I truly believe this episode was written as a guide for the last season. CARVER'S name on that crypt in the first three episode from season 15!!!

Lucifer wasn't suppose to escape from Hell and Jack wasn't suppose to be conceived.

It was Castiel who said YES to Lucifer, freeing him from that cage, and then he possesed the president and conceived Jack with Kelly. Everything because he said YES, so I think is obvious THIS WASN'T WRITTEN BY CHUCK EITHER. Why he would want a powerful Nephilim going around???

So no, he should be destroyed...

All the Metatron gifs were made by my talented friend @agusvedder !!! You should ask her for gifs! She's amazing!

But when Castiel had to kill Kelly and Jack... He decided not to do it.

So Jack showed him a new future in 12x19... A future that surely wasn't written by Chuck. A future that Jack will bring as his replacement (remember I said he was related with the snake in season 14 and with Shiva in this season, you can find the meta here.)

Castiel wasn't supposed to wake up from the Empty

And because Destiel wasn't supposed to exists, I'm pretty sure Chuck wasn't expecting Dean's longing for CAS through Jack's powers wake up Castiel.

So Cas was back with the Winchesters's again, against Chuck's will. AGAIN!!

Pushing Castiel away again

The break up is too good to be real for Chuck, Castiel isn't with the Winchesters now, and he's free to write wherever he wants. A dark ending.

But... Castiel and his decisions and Destiel and Jack ARE TOO REAL AND THEY DON'T FOLLOW CHUCK'S SCRIPT.

And that's why my friends I believe Chuck doesn't write Cas, because he's afraid of his rebellious nature, and that's maybe the key to defeat this chaotic God.

To Conclude

Chuck is afraid of CAS because he always skips the script. He isn't able to write him because Castiel is unpredictable.

There's a lot of my friends like @mrsaquaman187 @magnificent-winged-beast @weirddorkylittlediana who thinks as me, Cas will be very important by the end of the season.

Destiel wasn't supposed to exist, but it does, and everything related to it is real and genuine.

The fact that Jack is a consequence of Castiel's decisions, it would be reasonable to think he wasn't written by Chuck neither, and he plus Cas could be the key to defeat him. Don't forget the connection between Sam and Chuck through the bullet wound.

random thoughts (part i)

this is childish but rolling my eyes at cult member pbg going to paris(?) with tae. waiting for the jk + tae + bp l + bp j love square rumors to start any time now.

personal feelings about charlie p aside, l&r is heaps better than that mess of a song that will almost definitely be #1 on next week's bb chart. getting klr+jb - stay or dl - levitating vibes from l&r.

in other news: top-line quick hit thoughts about festa dinner

the powers that be at h-y-b-e (fka and interchangeably referred to as bh) gambled with them getting an exemption and lost. there's still a chance for it in light of the busan expo bid and the existing political pressure but the clock's ticking down

hindsight is 20/20 but to think that they could still have gone on their break some time in 2019 and been done with it by around now (per what yg insinuated). no, i don't hold the same view about the e word, see point above. on the bright side, it looks like tae and jk have gotten a lot closer, or at least become far more open, since the start of 2019

in order of who comes across as least in favor of the break to the most (not a hiatus in the one d sense as everyone from the ceo to the janitor of h-y-b-e has reiterated): jin, jm, jh, yg, jk/tae, nj

think this was quite clearly backed up by who spoke out after the dinner and who remained quiet. a note: i don't think jh and jm like it but they're pragmatic and driven enough to take the time for self-improvement

nj seems so done. what happens if he decides he doesn't want to come back?

what jin will do if he gets an exemption? i'd be surprised if he has anything more than a few tv appearances lined up right now (if anything). not because i don't think he's popular enough but he seems resigned and just wants to enjoy the rest of his time as a free man. yg will have backup plans for his backup plans

an approx 28% freefall in stock is slightly more than i thought (my professional opinion would have been closer to 23-25% especially considering the delivery). the market will correct itself eventually but everyone going on about h-y-b-e making 7x the money is way off

i have way more to say about this but how the way the news was broken was a chicken fried nightmare rolled in a train wreck breaded in a greek tragedy. i understand that they wanted to reach out to fans first and "directly" but during festa and in the midst of a cb? /facepalm

anyone else no longer able to listen to fy?

can we get a lv vlive quartet album please? they spend all their time together anyway and those performances would be fire

will we see the maknae line chilling in chicago for hope-apalooza? chi-town holler!

i hope we still see jk+tae content but i'm not optimistic. there's so much that's cut out or that they choose not to show to begin with when it's ot7/live

“Is that hot chocolate?” I noticed Kazi holding a to-go carrier the next day. We all had convened at this warehouse again, keeping up pretenses for the sake of public view just in case.

“Ivan brought doughnuts, too. It’s not snowing, but the best we can manage in here is using some rusty heater that barely warms up this entire place.”

Meanwhile, from the corner of my eye, Maya had cornered herself and was already sipping from one styrofoam cup nearby.

“Thank you.” I took one of the last cups, standing up against the nearest backend wall.

“You’re welcome. Here. I’ll stand. You can sit down.” Kazi offered. His free hand slid one vacant folding chair towards me instead of allowing himself to rest.

“Thanks, but won’t you be uncomfortable soon?” I narrowed my eyes, caring.

“Not the first time.” He chuckled half-heartedly, just as I had last night.

“Maybe we can take turns sitting down until somebody leaves one of the other chairs behind.” I shrugged.

Before I thought Kazi would speak, we both glanced forward to see Maya carrying her own chair right across the room. She set that piece of furniture right down, clanking its noise with purpose before leaving almost as quickly as she had arrived near us.

‘Thank you.’ I signed to her, which only prompted Maya to smirk over her leather-clad shoulder.

“She’s been annoyed.” Kazi sat down across from me in that damn chair, drinking the hot chocolate at last

“Why?” I shook my head.

“Us.” Kazi still allowed his words to be short this time.

“What’s the problem?” I asked, genuinely concerned.

“Us going back and forth. She notices more than you realize and it’s really bothersome.” Kaz furrowed his brow, letting those dark curls of his hair shadow once more.

“Like I said, unless we actually walk out of the job right now, nothing can change. This isn’t a fairytale, Kazi.” I sipped my hot chocolate, but still eyed him.

“Aren’t you getting tired?” Kazi scrunched up his face, setting down the hot chocolate cup.

“Tired of what?” I licked my lips.

“Avoiding me.” Kaz leaned in while sitting in that chair, but wouldn’t get closer. At least not yet.

“Just because feelings are there, doesn’t mean we should act on it. We’ve talked about this already. I affirmed, trying to distance myself away from the truth here.

“But you want to. There’s a difference.” He finally called out my bullshit and reached forward, setting down my beverage alongside his own cup.

“Damn. We only met not that long ago and you somehow read my mind.” I whispered, barely keeping up composure.

“Maya told me everything, even before you finally showed up in person.” Kaz revealed, which almost threw me off guard.

“And?” I titled my head.

“You’re not bad.” This bastard chuckled once more. I nearly lost it, but pulled myself together especially around Maya and everyone else here.

“Care to explain why you gave me that bottle of cologne?” I asked, still messing with him in one way or another.

“Have you sprayed the scent anywhere?” Kazi scooted his chair closer, forcing our eye contact again.

“Maybe.” I teased back, biting my lip.

“More details, please. I’m curious.” He dared to smile, showing off those brightest teeth.

“Not here. There are too many people around.” I winked.

“Can I have my gun back?” Outside in this parking lot, his voice called to someone in the distance, sounding frustrated. Cold breezed nearly raged on.

“What happened?” I peaked my head into the window of Kazi’s driver’s seat, already noticing that someone had been walking away from the truck.

“Barton gave another warning.” Kaz gripped the steering wheels with one hand, but faced me anyway.

“How the fuck did he find us again?” I wanted to scream, but Kaz hushed my anger within seconds.

“Who knows? We just need to be more careful all right?” Kazi then scoffed, unlocking the passenger seat door for me to slip through.

“Fine.” I mumbled, turning my eyes away from him.

“Hey,” He offered my senses another gentle whisper and I looked right back, already noticing that his own gaze zeroed in on me.

“Yeah?” That slight question felt small, but he knew the expression on my face.

His bandaged hand reached to touch my shoulder, almost pulling me closer towards him. In turn, I dared to close my eyes and finally acknowledge what we had been dodging all the while.

Just when this man aimed to lean forward and finally press his lips against mine, my cell phone pinged, signaling one text message out of nowhere:

MAYA: Meeting tonight with Uncle. Kazi has to be there, too. Don’t come with us.

“Duty calls for both of you.” I glanced down at my phone, regretting moving away from Kazi.

“Sorry, but we can’t change the rules on this one. See you tonight?” Kaz then lowered his voice and started up that engine of the truck.

As expected, Maya then walked out this warehouse and began driving away from here in her own car. The vehicle was still damaged from one of many fights.

“Be careful. Tell me if either one of you needs help, okay?” I eased my words, trying not to start freaking out this time.

“Always.” Kazi looked towards me before facing the road, taking us back home before tonight became reality.

I could only hope for the best now.
