The "very close talking" scene from the Bounty Hunters episode of Psych, but make it Buddie. One of them (at this point it should be Eddie) makes their intentions clear but gives the other the time and space to be ready. Come on ABC, don't let us down!

You know what saddens me the most is that i think they truly thought they did a great finale that everyone would love. I mean the Season 5 finale was received badly, but in terms of simply being boring. So they thought hey lets do a highstake emergency that involves the entire 118 (the critism of last season was not enough 118 as a whole if i remember correctly) this time and everyone will love it. And now look at the BACKLASH. People HATED it. Days later and everyone is still upset about it. I haven‘t seen a single positiv review about it. Even the journalist who usually praise them are awfully quit.
I really would like to find out what everyone involved in the finale thinks about it. Are they shocked about the outcome? Frustrated? Hurt? Don‘t give a damn or even care?
Okay, so I touched on a lot of this in my last post, but I will say that within all the criticism I've seen, it's been mostly about the writing being inconsistent for everyone and especially not being clear on getting Buck from point A to Z, no one has called the big emergency itself BAD, just not long enough with enough depth and focus on the characters and their emotions which...has been an issue since KR took over anyway. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I think they should be proud of the work they have done and again, within the criticism there have been a lot of comments about loving the cast and the work they put in and how great the crew has done with the practical effects.
I think what got to a lot of people was the news coming out that the show knew this was the end, they planned this for the finale and at the end, everyone was just kinda stunned that the "ideal finale" that they knew was coming and that they intended to end the show forever on, had so little in the way of firefam emotions, and was so willing to fly in the face of any character development they stumbled into across the season just to force two side characters into the show that no one really knows or cares about (while sidelining Ravi entirely 🙄😒) as a "happy ending" when they could have just...NOT done that and had a big firefam moment together like s3, maybe with them all in the hospital and gathered in Chim's room. Hell, I would have settled for Bobby in his hospital gown officiating the Madney wedding at Chim's bedside because they didn't want to wait anymore!
It makes me sad too because it's SO clear how hard the cast is trying and how much they love working together and love what they're doing but the writing has let them down time and time and time again and I'm SURE it's frustrating to work so hard and see the backlash when you have no control over where the stories are going.
Anyway, I hope they all have a lovely hiatus and get to relax and come back refreshed and hopefully the show will work on the issues coming from the top wrt pacing and arc planning. (Also, maybe if studios weren't so greedy and paid their fucking writers and were willing to shell out for quality instead of trying to cut corners to pad profit margins we wouldn't be here either so I hope the writers get what they're asking for too. I saw chart floating around of what they're asking for and the percentage it is and it's NOTHING compared to what studios are making. We can't as an audience expect quality if the studios refuse to pay people what they're worth.)
