A pattern I see often with Elizabeth Olsen stans and how they defend her is defaulting to the ignorance stance. “She didn’t know it was a slur” or “She never knew Wanda wasn’t a white Christian”. Elizabeth Olsen is an adult woman. She was corrected on her language (live on TV) and still used the word again and again. She is old enough to Google her character or, heaven forbid, read the actual source material.

She is more than capable of taking accountability. She knows what she had said and done (and what she continues to say and do) is wrong and she does not care. Her stans baby her so much that she can be incredibly antisemitic and racist with zero consequences. Supporting her is permitting this sort of behavior, and it’s incredibly telling how fast “allies” switch up when their fav is being bigoted.
