I started reading I stan the prince and girlies I am crying. the premise is so ridiculous and hides the fact that this story is first and foremost about being kind and how a little kindness can change your entire life

Another one of my toxic traits is that i thoroughly believe Karura, had she lived, would’ve been the most desi-toxic mother to mother. No more ‘Soft sweet womanly mother-love would’ve saved them all 🥺” the Suna family in my mind pass on mental health disorders through bloodlines like their kekkei genkai.
EDIT I wanna elaborate on this actually. I think she would’ve raised her kids up to be militant Suna shinobi like literally everyone in the family. I think she was stubborn and authoritarian and prideful and fiery and jaded like Rasa. They loved each other fiercely for a reason. I think they both had serious mental health issues and just a bad idea in general on how to be People as you would yknow, in a generation-long culture of child soldiers. Just because two people love each other doesnt mean they have a sunshine and rainbows nuclear family relationship, especially in their culture where those emotions were probably frowned upon.

I think its kinda funny that in Clavis’ route (spoiler btw) Clavis gets worried that the MC will like Chev more than him. Like it makes sense since Clavis always compares himself to him, they grew up together and his inferiority complex is directly connected to Chevalier, but when it comes to the Mc… if you’re gonna be worried, be worried about Leon instead?! You were there when we met Chev and he was all like “yo those books are more valuable than you” like Clavis, give our MC a little more credit I’m begging you!

Young Royals Seasons 1-2 Review
Just finished watching seasons 1 & 2 of the Netflix show Young Royals. Figured it only made sense to make a post speaking on my feelings about the show and give a rating for both seasons!
Overall I absolutely love the show. The story, writing, characters (for the most part.) are all incredible.
When it comes to LGBTQ+ content on Netflix, my first comparison was to Heartstopper. I knew absolutely nothing about this show prior to watching it myself. Hadn’t seen any trailers, clips. I just knew it was gay. Young Royals is definitely not Heartstopper. I was surprised how sad and dark the show got with the topics it covered because Heartstopper was such a wholesome feel-good show. This show, had me sad, angry, & anxious the whole way through. In a good way.
Wilhelm & Simon are incredible leads. Relatable and lovable in every way. They’re perfectly flawed and they’re incredibly relatable. Their story has been so emotional and enthralling. I just want them to have a happy ending, but I don’t think this is the kind of show that gives happy endings.
August stinks. I hate his character, and I genuinely don’t think there’s any way to redeem him. Because even in season 2 he hasn’t learned. He’s still being an evil rat.
Sara is up there with August and the Queen in terms unbearable characters. I loved her in season 1, but her development in season 2 was awful. She fell in love with August despite knowing what he’d done to her brother! Like, I wanna cut her some slack, but it’s so unforgivable. I also just genuinely hate her and August together.
Felice is mother! I think she’s beautiful and I absolutely love the friendship between her and Wilhelm. It’s good for him to have someone to talk to because as the show goes on, it’s like he has fewer people to turn to. But she’s been a friend to him since the start and I love that. Her plot of wanting to please her mother and do what she wanted was relatable and I liked to see her breaking away from that being herself in season 2. (Seeing her with her natural curls was one of the highlights of season 2)
Rosh & Ayub are the best characters. They don’t do much, but that’s okay. They still deserve the world.
Like I said, I love the show. I love every character besides August, Sara, & the Queen. And I absolutely NEED this show to be renewed for a season 3! It’s what we deserve!
Season 1: 9/10
Season 2: 8/10
