alas we are in a great drough and nothing is sticking. (outside of a dozen iterations of jason plowing/getting plowed which i'm not writing down, so they're not gonna stick around long either.)

-idea!!!! -tell frends all about idea!!!! -copypaste the !!!!s in a doc -writhe the first scene it's SO VIVID and SO COOL -... how tf does it dovetail with the scene frends and i went !!!! over last time??? shit i have to come up with an explanation now. uuuughgh that's WORK. -repeat process until a vaguely plot-like structure appears -open file to write, spend most of the time making small edits to previous writing -6 months later another chapter is complete, yay : post it. -hOW TF DOES IT DOVETAIL WITH THE ENDING???????? -make self type down an as detailed as possible bullet point list of things to bring up for the plot, get distracted in the middle, come back a week later having forgotten what i wanted to add and making up new things that don't feel like they flow as well BUT I WOULDNT KNOW, WOULD I, BECAUSE I FORGOT-- -??????????? !!!! ?? T_T -... idk man i just work here.

anyway i don't really have drafts, everything you see is technically first draft because it's too much work coming up with several ways of going through a chapter's checkpoints and then writing them down and i hate editing OUT sentences and things so i cling to them way more than i should. also it's just been harder and harder to make myself concentrate in recent years. idk. /flop.

Matteo - He writes his own music and also plays a few instruments! He wanted to go into music production for college, but that never worked out. He also really likes to write - he writes buffy the vampire fics, and many of them are self insert or smutty LMAO. He'd get into x-files too once someone showed it to him :)

Ellis - He does embroidery! His mother taught him and he's really into it. He also watches trashy soap operas - and he draws, but most people don't know it and wont get a chance to see it. He's very good - he would've done something more arts or sports related if his father hadn't pushed him towards being a detective u_u

Blake - He cooks (if you consider his chefly abominations cooking). He doodles. He games like a gamer. He causes fights on purpose. But more than anything. He likes to take pictures :)

Vance - Classical music enjoyer and also Hyperpop enjoyer. Hobby wise....he works. gfkjshdf He's worse than Ellis.

Julia - Walks...she likes to wander a lot, but in doing so, she often gets lost. fgkjshdflgk They've had to track her down a few times before her phone battery died. Dangerous game she plays.

🍀 : What inspired this oc?

Okay this is a fun question bc I drop the Matteo lore every chance I get bc its so funny to me. Ferret inspired little man. But the truth is, the others...all came about because the world Matteo resides in, needed them?

LIKE GFJKSHGFL He is the sun around which the ocs I have created rotate even if they don't really ever interact, bc through him I start thinking about gaps in the world or things that would be fun to add. He's the filter and everyone who appears is condensed little nuggets of an idea.

Vance exists because he needed a Boss. In needing a Boss, Vance's storyline also very nicely added up to being a catalist.

Julia exists because the plot needed a hook. Because of that, she's developed into something more, and my wife and I are actually in the middle of reworking her purpose to better fit agency into her whole situation.

Others came about for similar reasons - what is this story missing, and who can I fit into it to help fill it out?

From there idk. I just take elements that feel like the right "vibe" from the mental library in my brain and fiddle with it until it looks/feels right....it's not often a very directly-inspired-take??? Moreso I'm not often entirely aware of the influences going into the oc, bc I do it based on vibes KJKJGHSLKDJF

233,667 words total so far. I write long stuff.

At the moment it's only Stranger Things. I've posted for another fandom, but the fixation has changed and so here we are.

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

Of soulmates and colors; What happens in Vegas...; I just came to say...; Amok; and Like a curse.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I try to. I might not answer to all comments in the case of people who are binging one of my multi-chapter fics and I'm suddenly overwhelmed by the idea of answering 15 comments one by one (but it's the greatest kind of overwhelm available so please don't stop!)

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Probably What doesn't kill you makes you a monster, but then I recently added a continuation which is angsty as fuck but has a happy ending so I'm not sure if it counts. I tend to give stuff either a happy ending or a very hopeful ending. Life sucks already so much, let me at least give fiction a positive ending!

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Uh, hard question there. What's happier? The beginning of a new relationship? Elvis officiating your wedding to the love of your life? Soulmates defying death? A little coda about two monsters still being together in their fifties? You choose.

But if we're also counting things I've written and not published yet, then my entry for Harringrove BigBang, An affinity for dead things, wins. This fic has everything! [REDACTED]! [REDACTED]! [REDACTED]! [REDACTED] [REDACTED] while [REDACTED] [REDACTED]! [REDACTED]! And it will have gorgeous art too! I can't wait for February to come, dammit!

4.Where do you find inspiration for new ideas? pfff hahaha idk, random things. I see a post talking about a kink, next thing I know I really really want to write about that kink. Or a special pairing, or a funny situation... I also draw a lot of inspiration from other writers, that's how I end up with so many fics derivative from other works. There is something very challenging in trying to understand a character as written by another artist, and trying to follow the same train of thought...

8.Do you prefer the beginning, middle, or end of a story? I'm rubbish at endings (unless I have very clear what sort of last punch I want to throw) and as for beginnings sometimes I feel like I am unfocused or don't know if I'm dragging on a bit too much... Middles are my thing, then!

16.How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Share one of them? pah!! who knows, there are so many of my docs (numbered!! I don't learn) with random concepts or lines waiting to be remembered and developed... I'll have to disappoint you, though. Nothing worth reading in stock U_U

40.If someone were to make fanart of your work, what fic or scene would you hope to see? I would be downright melting if someone did artwork like that for me, never mind the fic or scene. whatever impacts them the most, or find the most beautiful. I personally like a lot the visual of Xiao Xingchen with a veil (Xie Lian style <3) so something like the scene from A Comedy of Yi City Errors when xue yang helps him down the stairs and can't take his eyes off him... or the other from Red Sun Rises, when Xiao Xingchen waits for Xue Yang in their room wearing the veiled hat and nothing else XD

55.Of the characters you write for, which is your favorite? Has that choice been swayed at all by your followers/readers’ reactions to certain ones? Xue yang will always be my favourite, my darling boy. I don't thing my way of writing him has changed much, but then again I haven't been writing for long either... Amongst OCs, my favourite is the stormcloud, that oversized toddler-brain natural disaster trying to rule over some ants ^w^

75.What scene in The Stromcloud took the longest to write? What was difficult about it?  Speaking of!! I was very hesitant with the last chapter (I promise, more are to come... someday...) because it's the first one the boys get to explore each other. I wanted it to feel warranted and not rushed, but I was so impatient with it, so eventually it seemed like the story was a bit disjointed. It tends to happen to me with longer fics, that's why I admire you guys so much that you can pull it off (I don't have the patience!)

76.Did you have any ideas that didn’t make the final cut of Uber-confident?  I considered adding a short epilogue with the aftermath, particularly how Song Lan felt about the whole thing and tried to report it but xiao xingchen was too ashamed and reluctant... but as you know, angst is not my forte, so I ended up scraping the whole idea and simply ending on a sharp note. If someone else wants to pick up the ball, feel free to do so! >/////<

(This is a joke dw, tho I am curious what keeps you from getting into P5 fics, at least generally)

I guess it’s dissecting what I like in fanfiction under the cut:

I'm just.....like It's a few things. The big thing is I gotta be in the mood for a fanfic. (right now, I'm not really in the mood for Persona fanfics, even of the games I do like). Sometimes it’s timing (I don’t have a lot of time to read). This is the biggest hurdle.

Then the next obstacle is......what I like, and what I like for each series I read.

I tend to like re-write what ifs. "What if this character dated this char?" or "What if the series was re-written but with this plot point." (Actually....that might be why I'm reading a lot of shojo "I got reincarnated *as the *insert char usually not the MC of* of a game/movie/book" or "I've gone back in time after I was killed and/or wronged and will avoid that fate" recently.....)

In that scenario with Persona (including just.....characterizing the silent MCs)........

P4 I think it's the one by Fortunesrevolver where Souji is NG+ post bad end, and is trying to recruit Naoto to change everyone's fate.

P3: What if Male/Female were both there? (namely The Fools' Tournament, Raison De Vivre, and I think another but the name escapes me). Be it that they are separate people (and will they kiss? O0O) or twins (they do not kiss hopefully, read more of these twin AUs during P3P's early years). There's also just "FeMC but she's kind of a dick but she doesn't voice it and the implications of that" (not really a what if but more leaning on just pure characterizing the MCs)...can't remember the name atm tho. 

I've probs read a few more under that umbrella but it's been a LOOOOONNNNG while

Next would be.....sequel fix. Looooove me some sequel fix. Read a lot of them (mostly P3 or P4/ P3 and P4 crossover) back before we got Arena and then the next sequel spinoffs.

P4: "Five years Later" and "Fate or Fortune" (oh gee they are also SouNao centered fics, how did that happen? 8U)

P3 same, tbh they are usually crossover with P4. I've read A LOT of these (mostly FeMC related ones) but it's too late for me to dig these up. Uhhhh The Fool's Turmoil is one (don't read unless you read The Fools' Tournament tho). 

And of course.....there's shipping. Sometimes it's fluff and not related to the above two. But it's usually related to the above two. I have to really care about a couple for that. (SouNao, MinaAi, SouHam, ShinjiHam, and MinaHam are what's drawn me tbh, MinaHam obvie shipped when they AREN’T siblings not that I’ve seen a whole lot of AU sibling ones that are shippy but it’s been like almost a decade since I last looked so I could be wrong!). Read lots. And yeah, shipping can be important. I'm 100% happy with no ships in my fanfics, but if there's a ship I DON'T like, it's a no-go. My ships or no ships. (this isn’t anything against the authors work obvie, I would like to think they’d be happy with me not....reading something that I know is not my speed). 

So where does P5 fit into all of this?

Well.....I really do not care of rereading P5's plot in a "what if" scenario (tbh I'll happily just stay in my own mind for that, I play around with my own scenario's tbh). Mostly cause I'm afraid of it.....being P5...and all it's.....P5-ness......but with added stuff. The closest I can see myself reading is a "fix it" fic rewrite but.....really depends on if I’m in the mood. 

I....do not care for a sequel with P5. Unless it is literally them falling from grace and getting their just deserts (and painstakingly going through how they really kinda screwed things up, crossover with past games is a plus but not required), then maybe. I'm a messy bitch who loves drama, the drama gives character development, PT become better and learn the error of their ways (and not the half assed bullshit that P5S does). But I’m not sure if people who genuinely like P5 and it’s cast would think that needs to happen. 

Then there's ships......I'm.....not really THAT invested in P5 ships.....to want to read them.... I do have ones I really don't like and other's I do like and would rather prefer seeing (but it’d probs be easier to just read a no-ships involved fic).

Anyway, yeah that’s what I like. Sequels, slight AUs/what if/rewrites (within universe/working relatively within canon, Non Persona Ex: What if Luz never went to the Boiling Isles and instead Amity was trapped in the Human World? still uses canon settings and rules but it’s an interesting “what if” scenario) , bonus points if my ships are in it. I usually like to work “in-universe” to something. If I’m just reading fluff it’s usually something in universe. And I don’t really care for like.....Coffee shop/Flower Shop AU, or doctors AU, or *insert thing that is completely separate from canon/working in universe* AU. I can see the appeal but it’s usually not for me (only real, true AU I think I read was a Samurai era one of SouNao.....can you tell I loved/still love SouNao?)

I hella get why people are so leery about letting their fics be added to collections on the ao3 (although they have now fixed it so if the collection owner tries to hide or set the authors as anon it will notify you asking for your permission before it does so!) and I've in the past recommended bookmarking the fic and adding the bookmark to your collection, which is great if you know the collection exists and are investigating it in the first place, but!

sometimes I read fics that are actually in a collection and if I like them then like... 8 times out of 10 I'm going to go collection surfing for more fic.

The Worst. i read one like, 5 years ago and i still remember u_u no idea how people manage to read it. oowh, your uncle knows what's good. money or video games, what else could someone need, right. aaaaah now i wanna eat dumplings ;; you know what's good too hehe. cuban food tho, you got super curious about it, i never tasted it. -🌊

I read a fic and it was like my favorite ever it was super long but the major character death tag was added like right at the end so obviously wasn't checking for it anymore and I got absolutely shook to my core I cried for 30 mins and I still haven't completed the fic even tho there were only 3 chaps left cause I was bitter and sad 😭

I'm actually cuban so cuban food is like what I grew up on so it's very comfy to eat it (it's also mostly garlic flavored agsgdgd always a plus) there is nothing more comforting to eat than white rice with a lil lime and Vaca frita with tostons *chefs kiss*
