i nearly started crying at work because i remembered the kenhina friendship

it’s just... so pure... can you imagine a love without expectations? can you imagine someone seeing you and just... choosing you? no second thoughts? someone who, for all intents and purposes, isn’t anything like you, and yet has chosen you? for someone to see you and love you not despite but because of your faults? to meet your insecurities and boundaries with total acceptance and joy?

I'm playing catch up on Haikyuu!! now (currently on episode 18 of season 1 as I send this) and I'm having increased paranoia of voltron antis migrating over to this fandom and latching onto the ships like kagehina or kenhina or even the lesbian ships, forgot the names of them hhhhh, and claim "*ship* is canon King!!" That is if they aren't in this fandom already... I don't go in the tags for this anime lol.

I hope antis stay away, I won’t let them ruin hq for me.

Though I’d love to see their mental gymnastics though because I’m sure they’ll ship Kiyoyachi (a wlw ship with a character introduced in s2) even though they’re a 3rd year/1st year lol
