And the fact that you mention that Gold is someone we actually knew? Like holy crap I love that! Because now I’m just like ‘heheheh imagining rolling up to Tsurumi and seeing your friends doggos have just decided this is their new home now’ and like I’m so curious about how we’d react to Albedo! And like, Albedo’s story mentions that Gold told him to seek out her friend Alice, so would we have meet Klee’s mom before too? Would we know about Rubedo as he vibes out in Dragonspine plotting his replacement attempts?

Ah thank you so much for sending this. I got hit with the biggest wave of writer's block but your excitement kept me going :,) I just posted Albedo's edition to this Fallen Archon Reader! concept, but to answer your questions and a little more context:

Yes! Reader does know Alice! I'm not sure how old Alice is so I don't know if they would know each other from Khaenri'ah or after but they have gone on adventures together.

Reader was "reborn/resurrected" (idk the term I wanna use yet) about 150 years before the start of Genshin's storyline. So, from Khaenri'ah's destruction to then, they don't know much. When they start meeting other characters and forming relationships with them is like 5-2 years before the story begins.

Reader is constantly searching for the answers to Khaenri'ah even as she makes a home in Mondstat.

Rubedo knows Reader! Reader was there for his creation, even helping Gold test his abilities. They were sad when Rhinedottir (Gold) considered him a failure and mourned him when Rhinedottir placed him into Durin.

Therefore, Reader knows Rubedo's corpse is on Dragonspine. They don't realize he's alive until the events of 2.3, but Reader does get the odd feeling someone is watching them whenever they're on the mountain.

I refer to Rhinedottir as Rhine or Rhinedotter when writing because Reader knew Rhine as a decent person. Strict and ambitious but not evil, yet.

When Reader eventually makes it to Tsurumi Island, they are shocked and saddened to see what's become of the Rifthounds.

Let's not forget Reader is born of the Light and Abyss realm. As a god, they aided Rhine by using their light element to combat the corruption that comes with the Abyss.

Special Talents:

URSINE PHYSIOLOGY: Power to use the abilities of bears.User with this ability either is or can mimic/transform into a bear. While Mika gave up this power, it was a family power, and one that ended up passed down to Jasper. Everyone in the family was a little surprised by it, Jasper himself included. After a little while, the ability to turn into a bear kind of grew on him, but Mika and Liam had to set a few ground rules - no using his power to scare anyone being the most important. Occasionally, he’s used his power to protect his family from other bears while on camping trips; otherwise, he rarely transforms. Before he learned how to control his powers, though, he’d often transform without meaning to, and at the worst times. He’d be play-fighting with Mishka, and the first time it happened, he was met with terrified screams. He didn’t understand what had happened that scared his parents and little brother so much, until he looked down and saw his paws. Afraid of himself and the thought of hurting his brother, he let go of Mishka and ran off into the woods, having a full-blown panic attack in his bear form. It wasn’t until hours later, when Mika found him and talked him down, that he was able to return to his human form and come back home. Sometimes, he thinks about giving it up like his mom (not that he’d ever tell her that), but then what power would he have? He’d just be...normal.

Who they like better:

Jasper’s favorite family member is actually Mishka, but his mother is a close second. She gets him more than his dad does, but his brother is his ride-or-die best friend. When they were little and their parents would fight, Jasper always kept little Wolfie out of it, away from the tension, in an effort to protect him. They’d blast music and play games and sometimes even climb up on the roof to make up stories about the stars...and sometimes howl at the moon, although that was more-so teasing from Jasper than anything else. He can still remember when his parents told him he was going to have a baby brother, and how excited that made him. He loves being a big brother, and Wolfie is always his number one.

Who they take after more:

Mika!!!! Not only does he share her looks, he also has the same ursine physiology she once had. Personality-wise, it’s a more even mix, since his parents both live for adventures, and so it’s a family thing. He’s a bit more social (like Mika) than his father, but he does prefer to be independent.

Personal Head canon:

After the prom night debacle (aka Mika ditching Liam and then the earthquake happening), it seemed pretty safe to say Mika and Liam wouldn’t be on good terms for a while. Liam had always been taught to handle things with an air of diplomacy, but this was college, not some formal event with world-leaders. It took a while for the tension between them to ease up, even though it was mostly one-sided. Liam held a grudge, even going so far as to be rude to the girl in the middle of an anxiety attack. In hindsight, it was a dick move, one that he regretted, and later went back to apologize for. Still, he’d rank Mika more as an acquaintance than a friend...

Years passed and fate seemed to keep throwing them in each other’s paths, so they accepted that some higher being must want them to be, and decided to give their friendship (relationship?) another try. As it turns out, getting together wasn’t such a bad idea after all. Once they really got to know each other, they discovered they had a lot of similar interests and tastes, and before they knew it, they went from friends to lovers to life partners.

When they found out Mika was pregnant, both swore off cigarettes, for the baby’s health. The withdrawal hit them hard, but their baby’s health meant more to them than anything else. They wouldn’t let anything happen to this baby, a n y t h i n g. When Jasper Reed Rein was finally born, they couldn’t thank their lucky stars enough that he was born healthy, and he became the center of their universe.
