IB Summer work

Today I am working on my production proposal for my Theatre HL class. One thing I recommend all transferring students to do, regardless of the program, is to get in touch as fast as possible with your new school to discuss classes and work that has been done in the other school. In my case, I learnt that my new school had already done the production proposal, while in my old school we only did a mock one which counted as our IA for theatre. While there are a few things I have to catch on, I am feeling quite exited to start this proposal as I am doing it on a play I really enjoy called "The Crucible", by Arthur Miller. I am trying to finish this in these next two weeks so that I can get it over with and focus on other things such as my EE, which is due the first day back.

Ian or Ikaika is a street light that is a moray eel, he is from Kaunai Hawaii, most people call him Ian but he doesn't mind Ikaika either

he is pretty quiet and usually stays out of the way of people, though he does get along with Shark hook and Knapsack (oc by @dirtfish)

his job on the summer ship is a botanist (study of plants), sometimes while doing something he will just stand and stare for a tiny bit before going back to what he was doing

he always has his mouth open (he is a mouth breather 😧), and sometimes people will tell him to close his mouth.....it doesn't close for very long T_T he also has very sharp teeth

it’s already last day of august!! i decided that today was the beginning of red tv season, so that album has been my soundtrack for today. i also finished all my readings for my lectures on friday, so i can come to class fully prepared. pictured are my notes + me working through lunch, and a quote someone put up by the water fountain at school! also a photo of the fall weather coming in.

we now move onto september and a new season! 🍂🌲🌱🍄🌘🌧️🍎

Alright so there’s probably a ghost hanging out in my room because 3am just seems to be a prime time to theorize but that’s besides the point. After listening to VHS on loop for hours two things stuck out

The beginning line of “Would you like to see what I see? You can see everything” is probably not just cult vibes but maybe The Founder himself. “…cannot see what I see…I can help you to see what Joshua sees. I can help you to see what I see.”

At the very end of the song “with only three easy payments” it first came off as a haha TWRP doing silly advertising thing again like with the Perfect Product. But what if it refers to The Nucleus of Sensation

The diagram looking thing points out the senses of sight, touch, and smell with hearing in the middle. (It mentioned mouth somewhere but I’m just gonna ignore that for now. might be related to the whole “My lips are cracked and parched” idk). Anyway back to the point. The Founder page says “…you must never trust your rods and your cones.” (referring to your eyes) and just keeps repeating how you can’t trust your own senses. What if giving up your senses is the payment? Specifically that of sight, touch, smell/(maybe) taste. Giving something up/sacrificing a part of you seems like a culty thing to do.

lately the whole chronic migraine thing for me is like "good luck getting in to see someone before next year.IDIOT. good luck finding a medication that actually works for you you IDIOT. good luck even getting it covered depending what it is. IDIOOOTTT. im really over spending the summer in bed man..it feels so embarrassing having to be like "yeah I'm not even in so much pain lately it's just the fact that it's literally every day and it's the nausea and the brain fog". at least I'm not in the er again
