the first week of IBDP year 1 is over! don't have that much work but it still has to be done. revised chem and did research for physics experiment.

when i graduated high school, my sick ass philosophy teacher gave me a list of things to live by. here is that list!

pay attention to animals and plants

move everyday, a lot

learn how to breathe well and spend at least a few minutes a day just doing that

read difficult books

liberate yourself, at least a little, from cars, shoes, and furniture

use technology but don't allow technology to use you

say kind things to people; don't talk shit about people

go to funerals

The IBDP is an amazing way to have a normal sleep schedule!!!! AND AS A BONUS you can have such a healthy work-life balance!! My mental health is the best its ever been!!

Sometimes I wonder why I even bother doing the IB program, especially here in Spain, where basically I am probably going to end up just being accepted in college due to the national exams.

I feel like I am always doing more work than other people. So, I have a doubt:

Do most schools focus only on the IB programme itself (only focusing on IB content) or is it common for schools to mix it up with their national school system??

(My school gives lessons separating them in an IB section and the “traditional” one, with the regular exam system, and grades)

I don’t even know if I am expressing myself correctly here haha🥲. But I am genuinely curious about how it works in other places.

I once convinced some people that for my IB standard level History exam I wrote gay fanfiction between dictators during the Cold War. What made it funnier is that I passed. I don't know if I'm being a bit too egoistic if I actually convinced anyone but I do comedy I guess.
