I regularly watch his videos, recently he has talked about the back lash of his videos in the last couple of years. In his defense (not that he needs one tbf) the videos are more akin to a video diary. Just his thoughts on whatever he watches.
His videos are great for having something to watch while eating lunch or dinner. Or just to have something monotone in the background. In the photo you had, the top video there was for a music video on his channel.
I mean he does commentary, music, wrestling, speed run challenges, eSports etc
I do miss him from like 5-7years ago
I didn't even know he did music tbh no one talks about it (I'm guessing his music are the videos with low view count lmao)
To be extremely honest he's cocomelon for zoomers. I wouldn't be surprised if soon there's sudden backlash for his recent content because I've already seen rumblings akin to what I was talking about. I'm sure he has followers for other stuff, but he gets most of his views from drama, he's usually one of the first people to talk about Twitter bullshit
I know when you've been watching someone for so long you just click on their videos out of second nature, but I heard about him maybe 2 years ago. I was completely neutral on him until he defeated the idubbz 2016 slur era ("it wasn't a big deal", said the white cis man who wasn't effected by those slurs) and he seems like a fence hopper and goes what whatever option is popular. Idk, I only tried watch a handful of videos from him, but he's so unwatchable to me
I honestly appreciate your opinion on him, I was never a fan so seeing his huge subscriber count didn't make sense to me

Hello! Feel free not to answer this question if it is in any way too much, but I've been wondering about something concerning the "western" mdzs fandom. Lately, i have seen multiple pieces of fanart that use what is clearly Christian symbolism and sometimes downright iconography in depicting the characters. I'm a european fan, but it still makes me vaguely uneasy. I know that these things are rarely easy to judge. I'm definitely not qualified to do so and was wondering if you have an opinion
Hi there! thank you for your patience and for the interesting question! I’ve been thinking about this since i received this ask because it?? idk, it’s difficult to answer, but it also touches on a a few things that I find really interesting.
the short answer: it’s complicated, and I also don’t know what I feel!
the longer answer:
i think that this question is particularly difficult to answer because of how deeply christianity is tied to the western art and literary canon. so much of what is considered great european art is christian art! If you just take a quick glance at wiki’s page on european art, you can see how inextricable christianity is, and how integral christian iconography has been in the history of european art. If you study western art history, you must study christian imagery and christian canon because it’s just impossible to engage with a lot of the work in a meaningful way without it. that’s just the reality of it.
Christianity, of course, also has a strong presence in european colonial and imperialist history and has been used as a tool of oppression against many peoples and nations, including China. I would be lying if I said I had a good relationship with Christianity--I have always faced it with a deep suspicion because I think it did some very, very real damage, not just to chinese people, but to many cultures and peoples around the world, and that’s not a trauma that can be easily brushed aside or reconciled with.
here is what is also true: my maternal grandmother was devoutly christian. my aunt is devoutly christian. my uncle’s family is devoutly christian. my favorite cousin is devoutly christian. when I attended my cousin’s wedding, he had both a traditional chinese ceremony (tea-serving, bride-fetching, ABSURDLY long reception), and also a christian ceremony in a church. christianity is a really important part of his life, just as it’s important to my uncle’s family, and as it was important to my grandmother. I don’t think it’s my right or place to label them as simply victims of a colonialist past--they’re real people with real agency and choice and beliefs. I think it would be disrespectful to act otherwise.
that doesn’t negate the harm that christianity has done--but it does complicate things. is it inherently a bad thing that they’re christian, due to the political history of the religion and their heritage? that’s... not a question I’m really interested in debating. the fact remains that they are christian, that they are chinese, and that they chose their religion.
so! now here we are with mdzs, a chinese piece of media that is clearly Not christian, but is quickly gaining popularity in euroamerican spaces. people are making fanart! people are making A LOT of fanart! and art is, by nature, intertextual. a lot of the most interesting art (imo) makes deliberate use of that! for example (cyan art nerdery time let’s go), Nikolai Ge’s What is Truth?
Tumblr media
I love this painting! it’s notable for its unusual depiction of christ: shabby, unkempt, slouched, in shadow. if you look for other paintings of this scene, christ is usually dignified, elegant, beautiful, melancholy -- there’s something very humanizing and humbling about this depiction, specifically because of the way it contrasts the standard. it’s powerful because we as the audience are expected to be familiar with the iconography of this scene, the story behind it, and its place in the christian canon.
you can make similar comments about Gentileschi’s Judith vs Caravaggio’s, or Manet’s Olympia vs Ingres’ Grande Odalisque -- all of these paintings exist in relation to one another and also to the larger canon (i’m simplifying: you can’t just compare one to another directly in isolation etc etc.) Gauguin’s Jacob Wrestling the Angel is also especially interesting because of how its portrayal of its content contrasts to its predecessors!
or! because i’m really In It now, one of my favorite paintings in the world, Joan of Arc by Bastien-Lepage:
Tumblr media
I just!!! gosh, idk, what’s most interesting to me in this painting is the way it seems to hover between movements: the hyperrealistic, neoclassical-esque take on the figure, but the impressionistic brushstrokes of the background AAA gosh i love it so much. it’s really beautiful if you ever get a chance to see it in person at the Met. i’m putting this here both because i personally just really like it and also as an example of how intertextuality isn’t just about content, but also about visual elements.
anyways, sorry most of this is 19thc, that was what i studied the most lol.
(a final note: if you want to read about a really interesting painting that sits in the midst of just a Lot of different works, check out the wiki page on Géricault’s Raft of the Medusa, specifically under “Interpretation and Legacy”)
this is all a really long-winded way of getting to this point: if you want to make allusory fanart of mdzs with regards to western art canon, you kind of have to go out of your way to avoid christian imagery/iconography, especially when that’s the lens through which a lot of really intensely emotional art was created. many of my favorite paintings are christian: Vrubel’s Demon, Seated, Perov’s Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane, Ge’s Conscience, Judas, Bastien-Lepage’s Joan of Arc, as shown above. that’s not to say there ISN’T plenty of non-christian art -- but christian art is very prominent and impossible to ignore.
so here are a few pieces of fanwork that I’ve seen that are very clearly making allusions to christian imagery:
1. this beautiful pietà nielan by tinynarwhals on twitter
2. a lovely jiang yanli as our lady of tears by @satuwilhelmiina
3. my second gif in this set here, which I will also show below:
Tumblr media
i’m only going to talk about mine in depth because well, i know exactly what i was thinking when I put this gif together while I can’t speak for anyone else.
first: the two lines of the song that I wanted to use for lan xichen were “baby, I’m a fighter//in the robes of a saint” because i felt that they fit him very well. of course, just the word “saint” evokes catholicism, even if it’s become so entwined in the english language that it’s taken on a secular meaning as well.
second: when I saw this scene, my immediate thought was just “PIETÀ!!” because LOOK at that composition! lan xichen’s lap! nie mingjue lying perpendicular to it! the light blue/white/silver of lan xichen in contrast to the darker robes of both nie mingjue and meng yao! not just that, but the very cool triangular structure of the image is intensely striking, and Yes, i Do love that it simultaneously ALSO evokes deposition of christ vibes. (baxia as the cross.... god..... is that not the Tightest Shit) does this make meng yao joseph of arimathea? does it make him john the evangelist? both options are equally interesting, I think when viewed in relation to his roles in the story: as a spy in qishan and as nmj’s deputy. maybe he’s both.
anyways, did I do this intentionally? yes, though a lot of it is happy accident/discovered after the fact since I’m relying on CQL to have provided the image. i wanted to draw attention to all of that by superimposing that line over that image! (to be clear: I didn’t expect it to all come through because like. that’s ridiculous. the layers you’d have to go through to get from “pretty lxc gifset” --> “if we cast nie mingjue as a christ figure, what is the interesting commentary we could do on meng yao by casting him as either joseph of arimathea or john the evangelist” are like. ok ur gonna need to work a little harder than slapping a song lyric over an image to achieve an effect like that.)
the point of this is: yes, it’s intentionally christian, yes I did this, yes I am casting these very much non-christian characters into christian roles for this specific visual work -- is this okay?
I obviously thought it was because I made it. but would I feel the same about a work that was written doing something similar? probably not. I think that would make me quite uncomfortable in most situations. but there’s something about visual art that makes it slightly different that I have trouble articulating -- something about how the visual often seeks to illustrate parallels or ideas, whereas writing characters as a different religion can fundamentally change who those characters are, the world they inhabit, etc. in a more... invasive?? way. that’s still not quite right, but I genuinely am not sure how to explain what i mean! I hope the general idea comes across. ><
something else to think about is like, what are pieces I find acceptable and why?
what makes the pieces above that reference christian imagery different than this stunning nieyao piece by @cyandemise after klimt’s kiss? (warnings for like, dead bodies and vague body horror) like i ADORE this piece (PLEASE click for fullview it’s worth it for the quality). it’s incredibly beautiful and evocative and very obviously references a piece of european art. I have no problem with it. why? because it isn’t explicitly christian? it’s still deeply entrenched in western canon. klimt certainly made other pieces that were explicit christian references.
another piece I’d like to invite you all to consider is this incredible naruto fanart of sakura and ino beheading sasuke after caravaggio’s judith. (warnings for beheading, blood, etc. you know.) i also adore this piece! i think it’s very good both technically and conceptually. the reference that it makes has a real power when viewed in relation to the roles of the characters in their original story -- seeing the women that sasuke fucked over and treated so disrespectfully collaborating in his demise Says Something. this is also!! an explicitly christian reference made with non-christian japanese characters. is this okay? does it evoke the same discomfort as seeing mdzs characters being drawn with christian iconography? why or why not?
the point is, I don’t think there’s a neat answer, but I do think there are a lot of interesting issues surrounding cultural erasure/hegemony that are raised by this question. i don’t think there are easy resolutions to any of them either, but I think that it’s a good opportunity to reexamine our own discomfort and try and see where it comes from. all emotions are valid but not all are justified etc. so I try to ask, is it fair? do i apply my criticisms and standards equally? why or why not? does it do real harm, or do i just not like it? what makes one work okay and another not?
i’ve felt that there’s a real danger with the kind of like, deep moral scrutiny of recent years in quashing interesting work in the name of fear. this morality tends to be expressed in black and white, good and bad dichotomies that i really do think stymies meaningful conversation and progress. you’ll often see angry takes that boil down to things like, “POC good, queer people good, white people bad, christianity bad” etc. without a serious critical examination of the actual issues at hand. I feel that these are extraordinarily harmful simplifications that can lead to an increased insularity that isn’t necessarily good for anyone. there’s a fine line between asking people to stay in their lane and cultural gatekeeping sometimes, and I think that it’s something we should be mindful of when we’re engaging in conversations about cultural erasure, appropriation etc.
PERHAPS IT IS OBVIOUS that I have no idea where that line falls LMAO since after all that rambling I have given you basically nothing. but! I hope that you found it interesting at least, and that it gives you a bit more material to think on while you figure out where you stand ahaha.
was this just an excuse to show off cool (fan)art i like? maybe ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

2018 - semifinal 1
originally posted 5/13/20
Thoughts before watching Alright, we're heading into more familiar territory for me. I've heard the studio version of a number of the songs in the 2018 contest and I've liked a lot of them. I didn't watch this show live, so I don't know anything about the hosts or whatnot, and have only seen a couple of the live performances. I'll be watching the 2018-2014 shows through the German Eurovision website. They're available there with German commentary. I speak some German so this is a fun exercise for me lol. Azerbaijan Song is very... standard Swedish export. It's not bad and Aisel is an OK singer live. If I remember correctly, this was the tougher semi and this ended up falling through. Staging was weird - I liked it at first but there's an awful lot of running. Iceland A disappointment from Iceland. I like a lot of their less-popular entries but this is just boring. Ari is a strong vocalist, but my issue isn't with him so much as it is with the song, and with the underwhelming staging. Albania I'll get hate from the fandom for this, but I'm not crazy about it. Eugent's a good singer and he gets props from me for keeping his song in Albanian but it just doesn't click with me. Belgium This one's underrated. Not great but I feel like it doesn't get as much credit as it deserves. Sennek's got a great voice and a decent stage presence, and the song is actually pretty good. Staging killed this one IMO. I think using the main stage could have saved this - seeing Sennek being serious and as elegant as she could be in that dress, against the backdrop of the fans, was a little jarring. Czechia I need to establish first that I LOVE this song. I listen to the studio version all the time. And I love Mikolas as a performer and I know that he'd been injured and that the staging was adapted. But it's just not as fun live! Once Mikolas starts moving he really is fun to watch and gets everyone excited but I feel like too much of the performance was him standing there. I know Czechia did the best they could trying to change the staging in such a short time (he literally got injured at the jury rehearsal) but idk I feel like he could have moved around a little more. The fun of this song isn't in the vocals or the lyrics it's in the VIBE, the fun you have while singing or listening. I love dancing to this song and making a fool of myself while doing it and it's a shame that Czechia wasn't able to show that off this performance. Lithuania This was good, fight me! Staged really well and an absolutely beautiful song. My only problem with this performance is that Ieva seemed to move between vocal quality very awkwardly, sometimes sounding timid, sometimes not holding back, sometimes really pushing her sound into the back of her throat. Israel Oh, Netta. I want to start by saying that that staging was an EYESORE. I'm not going to make a judgement on whether it was cultural appropriation, because I'm white and it's not my place, but it sure was not the best to look at. For the most part, I like songs and stage performances I can take seriously, and this just wasn't it. I think Netta's a good singer and Toy is an alright song, and I found the use of a loop machine actually really clever (but I'm not sure if she actually used it... maybe her backup singers were doing the sounds? I feel like that somehow breaks the rules about recorded vocals). It simply isn't for me. Belarus Seriously disappointed by this one. Belarus usually does an OK job with staging but this just sucked. As I understand the song underwent a pretty significant revamp that hurt its chances badly. The chorus is nice to listen to, though, and I wish Alekseev had allowed himself to belt more instead of trying to be tender. Tender is OK sometimes, but didn't work for this song. Estonia This was so fucking creative. It's definitely different, a standout, and it was staged really well. Estonia did a great job with what they had (that is, a less-than-conducive stage design). The dress effect was really cool
and I don't think I've seen anything like it. Moldova's 2013 entry comes close but that dress was cool in a different way. The musical style isn't my favorite to see in Eurovision (and I just generally don't like opera) but Elina has an amazing voice and the song was generally well put together so I think it worked. Bulgaria This is another one I listen to a lot - probably one of my favorites of the year. It's a really well composed song with good live vocalists and a pretty good stage performance too. Great song, didn't trainwreck live. What more can you ask for? Macedonia I enjoyed this one. The singer has a great voice and it was staged pretty well all things considered. The song did feel like it was two songs stitched together - the verses one and everything else another - and that outfit really did suck, but I actually don't hate it. Croatia Franka is really fun to watch. She has a lot of presence, staging was decent, song was good. I love me a good triple meter. Her voice isn't my favorite, though. All in all I don't dislike this one, definitely a solid entry for Croatia. Austria Pretty good. Cesar has a very pleasant voice and the song is fun. Staging could have been done a lot better. Don't hate it. Not crazy about it but definitely one of the better entries of the night, I think. Greece I can't figure out exactly what I dislike about it. The song is pretty, the live vocals are okay, and the staging is okay, but something about this doesn't vibe with me and leaves my impression of the song solidly mediocre. I guess I feel like Yianni's vocals weren't right for the song? Finland I like it! Saara has one of my favorite voices so far and the song is good. I don't have strong feelings on the staging. Armenia Kinda underwhelming, but it's a nice song and I really like the staging design. Switzerland Can't believe this didn't qualify! Strong stage presence from Corinne and overall a really great song. The fire sparkler was a nice touch although it did fuck up the lighting, I think? Ireland Another of my favorites. A very sweet song that's genuinely just nice to listen to. Definitely the best entry from Ireland in a while. Cyprus So, I hadn't actually heard the original version of the song before now, only covers. It's alright. Definitely a really strong performance and a fun song to listen to, even if Eleni's live vocals leave something to be desired. My personal qualifiers Bulgaria Ireland Switzerland Finland Lithuania Czechia Cyprus Belgium Austria Estonia Miscellaneous thoughts Filomena is really funny in the green room! I like her a lot. Mikolas rapping was also priceless. Love the guy. I was on my way out of the Eurovision fandom in 2018, but I feel like a lot of people said this was the hell semi? I don't agree. Like, I know the top two of the whole contest were in this semi but overall I was really disappointed by the songs and performances. In my opinion this is only the hell semi in that a lot of the songs were so solidly mediocre that it was really just a toss-up to which ones would get through.

oooh, can you please explain the headcanon dynamic you have for bffs! boyd, derek and kira? i've always seen boyd & derek but rarely with kira as well.
OK SO! I actually made a small (incomplete) thread on twitter with some reasons why I think Derek and Kira would be the perfect best friends you can read it here.
So I headcanon that Noshiko probably (most definitely) had some business in Beacon Hills when the Hale family was alive and she was friends/allies with Talia and when she came to visit she brought little Kira and that’s how she and Derek met for the first time, as wee dorks! I headcanon the Yukimuras are the reason Derek is familiar with the Kitsune aura and recognizes what Kira is instantly.
About Derek & Boyd - I think Boyd and Derek make a lot of sense because Boyd has the kind of personality that mixes well with Derek’s - he sticks to himself most of the time, stays in the corner listening and gathering clues about people, has the same kind of dry humor as Derek, is the kind of person that will be upfront about what they think and will let you know but without pressuring you. I love the relationship between Derek and all his betas but I always saw Boyd as Derek’s second. I think Boyd is the one most likely to be there to calmly give advice and give him the side-eye when needed without being too abrasive.
If Boyd had stayed alive I think he would’ve evolved into Derek’s best friend quickly and Kira would TOTALLY fit that dynamic when she arrived in 3b - first, because she’s someone Derek can trust and so Boyd can trust and second because... idk, I just really see them clicking? I think their friendship would be the chillest thing but also the three of them would be fantastic in a fight together. Also I just feel like they all need some place to belong and their personalities would never clash so they could be a safe place for each other.
Does that make sense?
Kira & Boyd - sadly we have zero interactions between them, but I think Boyd would LOVE her and he’d start looking at her like a little sister (and probably roll his eyes at her a lot because oh god, is that girl full of sunshine? But he also needs that fun, enthusiastic side in his life that sure he can get from Erica but not in the same way - Erica is fun but realistic, Kira is the positivity both Boyd and Derek need in their lives). And for her part, I think Kira who is in real need of some friends would find a great one in Boyd - he’d totally listen to her even when she’s being a little too much (hey, don’t judge, i love that about her!) and he’d help Derek when it comes to keeping her feet on the ground and also, Boyd can’t roll his eyes at Derek and Stiles pulling pigtails on his own?? He totally needs Kira’s running commentary about the whole thing!
And... well, I just love all three characters so maybe it’s just me reaching because I really wish they had had scenes together. :’)

Junior & Nancy
Gay nerds
Junior: Nance, how on earth are you tackling this art project? To say I'm discombobulated is an understatement that isn't getting me an A any time soon! Nancy: 😕 sums it up in a way. Obviously I can fall back on the twin thing but is that too safe? 😩 But we couldn't be more different Junior: 😖 Like, I love how vague and open to our own interpretation it is...but also I fucking hate how vague and open to our own interpretation it is! 😢😂 No one would blame you; least of all me, 'cos I was tempted- being the sore thumb I am when counting our ten- and I've not even got the twin angle everyone is so about in all areas of art tbh Junior: If nothing else, Buster is a willing participant in a photo op always? Junior: Ooh, you could get something matchy match from your childhood photos (I know they exist) and splice it with portraits of you now...Think that elevates it Nancy: You've put your finger on it. Nancy: But I don't think you're so right about the lack of blame 🤔 even with the boy/girl straight/gay redhead/brunette angle it still feels ??? Nancy: Basic 😒 Junior: I get you Junior: Meant to become the next Magritte in just 4 weeks, like !!! Junior: Well, I've heard at least 4 girls from class saying they're going to do a heavily made-up portrait next to a #nofilter #naturalbeauty one so Junior: We'll do better than that by default but I'd like to come up with something vaguely original still Junior: Miss' sanity relies on us lowkey, no pressure 😷😜 Nancy: I had that passing thought let it go though 😜 Nancy: You could text her Nancy: 😕 yes pressure Nancy: What to do? Junior: I like to keep it in professional hours Junior: for her sake, she gets a bit amorous when she's had a glass o vino after work Nancy: 😮 she does? Nancy: can I bribe my way to top of the class by raiding the cellar Junior: That was my second suggestion 😏 Junior: Take one for the team please 🙏 Nancy: but she's straight STRAIGHT Nancy: couldn't be enough Nancy: back to the mindmap Junior: Damn straights 😒 Junior: if all else fails, we can put this grade next to our last Junior: break the fourth wall, v meta Nancy: our school gets the one bohemian who is Nancy: put her next to the sterotypical art teacher Junior: did you mean my mother? 🤔 Junior: her, the engineer, hilarious 😂 Junior: Mum'd be up for it, you may borrow her Nancy: I might yet Nancy: when's this due again? Junior: we've still got 3 weeks, don't worry Junior: just trying to get it over and done with here Nancy: I should Nancy: The Tempest essay is due soon Junior: Don't remind me, even the gayness can't make it enjoyable, like many a teen show 🤷 Junior: Could combine? Somehow? Umm Junior: The supernatural characters and the humans...why yes, I am clutching at straws Junior: This term is killing me Nancy: If I'd get away with handing in some shots instead of an essay I would Nancy: not happening Nancy: 😩 Nancy: What ideas have you had? For the juxtaposition...forget the tempest Nancy: burn that Junior: If only, 1000 words=1 photograph, no contest really Junior: again, if only Will had 💀 Junior: The idea I can't get out of my head, even though it has been done to death so is BEYOND basic, is mashing up a classical art piece with something modern and pop culture...to say something about me (eww!) Junior: Tbf, they usually use Renaissance or very very famous art pieces so I could win points by using some relevant surrealism/ going beyond calling Mona Lisa #flawless Junior: Its all I've got Nancy: I think it's good Nancy: Let's both run with overused concepts and make them not basic in our way Nancy: act like we planned it Nancy: nobody has to know we had no other ideas Junior: Absolutely 😎 Junior: Total confidence is key, comes so natural to the both of us, like Junior: I think worrying about being 'original' is the true hack thing to do here anyway 💅 Nancy joined the chat 13 hours ago Nancy: 😖 yes Nancy: stealing that all Nancy: now if you could keep it going and give me some thoughts on shakespeare to plagiarize 😜 Junior: If I could, I would but even SparkNotes isn't helping me Junior: shall we peruse the best film/stage adaptations? maybe tomorrow night if you're free Nancy: I've seen the 2010 version a few times for obvious reasons Nancy: but yeah the others not so much Nancy: we need to do something that isn't me asking my mum for help Junior: Oh, babe 😂 that's the real tragedy here, you doing that to yourself Junior: maybe I'll borrow her and she can do mine for me Junior: still down for a movie night obviously Nancy: 🙉 Nancy: Lead female character Nancy: Shakespeare should've Nancy: Please do take her Nancy: mum swap 😂 Junior: As much as Bill LOVED any excuse for a drag show darling... stick with the evil queens and witches 😘 Junior: Let's do this, full family swap! Let them drive you insane for a bit whilst I live the life 😬 Nancy: Switch that around both my parents are so type A Nancy: Plus you've got all the brothers and sisters to dodge behind Nancy: Buster takes more heat off than most but he's still just one boy Junior: well, mine would refuse to be bound to a type, just as annoying I promise Junior: Its true I can mostly fade into obscurity with all their shenanigans, yet it still somehow isn't the case, just 12 nosy people in your business instead of the usual 2, with a disinterested brother flexing off in the background Nancy: 🙈 Nancy: I'm not having kids Nancy: Don't care if the future wife is frantic Junior: It is an issue that divides all of us tbh Junior: I don't think I'd mind one, to put all my efforts into Junior: but unlikely Junior: unless I co-parent from the sidelines with your wife Nancy: weirder scenarios have come about Nancy: I'd prefer a kitten Junior: steal one when you come over Junior: Ma'd probably notice but really, do we need so many? Nancy: Gran's such a dog person can I get through the door Junior: True, true Junior: Always living on such extremes this fam Junior: I don't know 😏 Nancy: look at me and my brother ultimate homo and hetero Nancy: embarrassing Junior: 😂 Junior: I'd love to suggest he doth protest too much but lbr Nancy: dad's never been prouder 😂 no teen pregnancies for his little girl Nancy: shakespeare would write that Junior: Who are we putting our money on to go first Nancy: that's harder than it sounds Junior: Rio is obvious choice but I sometimes think Grace might go insane and come along and take the claim Junior: *Shudders* Nancy: change the subject I beg you Nancy: I'd rather hear about your attempts to avoid your secret admirer who's a girl and hopelessly 💘 Junior: well, I would rather pretend that was not a thing 😬 Junior: as your brother once eloquently put it, when he was very pissed, 'i could clean up and get untold amounts of pussy' Junior: and that's that on that Junior: considering getting a face transplant 'cos my off-putting demeanour is not doing enough 😒 what problems to have, eh? the privilege of it all! 😂 Nancy: maybe we should go under together Nancy: moral support and potential discount Nancy: if I get told I don't look gay one more time I'm returning my badge Junior: well, where is your crewcut and tank top, like? 🤔 Junior: out here confusing the masses like that, idk Nancy: 🙉 Nancy: Not an identical twin playing tricks either how dare I Junior: why can't you just get in your box and like it, god damn it Nance! Nancy: unrelated except about boxes but should I get some new kit for this project or am I just stalling Nancy: a memoir Junior: any excuse 😜 Junior: but yes, do it Junior: i'm using it as excuse to go 'round all the best art galleries in town again so Nancy: Can I tag along Nancy: they're so quiet it's everything Junior: Naturally Junior: We're art students, we've gotta act like it, I'll keep the pretentious commentary to a minimum if you keep the equally as pretentious 'grams down too 😘 Nancy: I'll try Nancy: The feed wants what it wants though Junior: Can't argue, just leave the real money outta the shot Junior: Gotta leave my fangirls wanting more, like 😂 Nancy: That I will promise Nancy: Not trying to be mobbed by straight girls Junior: You mean you resist the lesbian stereotype of LOVING that too?! Nancy: Somehow it's managed Junior: no mean feat, one of the few gays in the village Nancy: Don't clap it's too loud 😂 Junior: *Finger clicks like this a slam poetry night* Nancy: Thank you Nancy: [sends a selection of childhood pictures] how early years can I go before everyone's rolling their eyes Nancy: Thank you too mum for these. Why did you do this to us? 🙈 Junior: Awww what 👼 Junior: This is how I like to remember Buster, before it all went wrong... 😉 Nancy: 👶🥕 Nancy: The glory days Junior: Weren't they just? Junior: At least you didn't have an extra older sister to dress you up, that's worse...the photos I could bring out, good lord 🙄 Nancy: 😜 And I wasn't that sister. You've welcome Buster Nancy: 🍀 Junior: *Whispers* Can we agree he needs SOMEONE to give him a makeover tho Nancy: I volunteer you as tribute Nancy: I've tried Junior: Maybe next family gathering Junior: if he shows Nancy: Bide your time Nancy: birthday present failsafe idea Junior: the amount of birthday celebrations in this fam is unholy Junior: We have a better social life than I would ever wish for, ugh Nancy: don't make me think about it Nancy: I'm sharing and it's made no difference Junior: wouldn't want you to miss out on all that good good attention we all crave 😂 Nancy: 🙈 Junior: Speaking of attention, have you heard the latest gossip that has piqued our peers? Junior: Even the teachers, complete popularity contest got him that position Junior: Interesting, though... Nancy: Besides me in my minority of one Nancy: And Sian would never Junior: Sian Gaffney? She's never gay! Thought you didn't do straight girls, you're reaching there Nancy: 🙉 not her she's dating the oldest Keenan lad Jake?
