huge fan of the idea of little traces of the werehog still being left even after unleashed. maybe its something as major as sonic still being able to turn into the werehog under certain conditions. or maybe its just something small like having a little extra fluff and unusually sharp fangs and claws. maybe he still occasionally slips into werehog-like behaviors. idk. i just dont think that you can absorb part of a darkness god and then go completely back to normal once its gone

#now im thinking about sonic and the tales of terror.#which is a sonic childrens book that had some halloween themed stories in it #one of which had sonic turning into the werehog again after the events of sonic unleashed #the explanation was that all that exposure to dark gaia energy left him more sensitive to it #so being around dark gaia energy can make him turn into the werehog again even if dark gaia themself is still sealed in the earth #idk that book probably isnt canon i just think it is interesting. rotating that concept in my mind
