Yes, it’s another OC playlist. This time for Aunlin.
1 - “Rockstar” - Nickelback
Unfortunately, this song fits her personality and goals better than anything I’ve ever heard. Aunlin has dedicated her life to becoming a famous performer, and will stop at nothing to achieve it.
2 - “Ultraluminary” - Over the Moon Soundtrack
The first of several show tunes in this list, because it felt appropriate. It’s a self-aggrandizing song about how great the singer is, with the sound of an over-produced pop hit. This is the kind of song Aunlin imagines herself singing in front of an enthralled audience of thousands.
3 - “Applause” - Lady Gaga
She hasn’t gotten the audience she wants yet, but Aulin will hopefully one day be drowned in the adoration, screams, and thunderous applause of her legions of fans.
4 - “Roxie” - Chicago (2002) soundtrack
Show tune number two. She’s gonna be a celebrity, that means somebody everyone knows.
Who says that murder’s not an art?
5 - “Big and Loud” - Cats Don’t Dance
The third show tune. Everything Aunlin does is big and loud, because that’s the best way to get attention.
6 - “More” - K/DA
Never satisfied, always giving everything in pursuit of her dreams. She doesn’t care who gets hurt as she climbs the ladder of success.
7 - “Hell on Heels” - Pistol Annies
A song for her warlock patron, and the fact that it didn’t exactly make her a worse person. Those traits were already there.
I'm hell on heels
Say what you will
I done made the devil a deal
He made me pretty
He made me smart
And I'm gonna to break me a million hearts
8 - When I Rule the World - LIZ
Aunlin doesn’t particularly want to dominate the world in the classic sense. But if everyone alive was her fan, and would do anything she asked of them, that would be just fine.
9 - “You Should See Me In a Crown” - Billie Eilish
Don’t forget that Aunlin is a drow. And even though she was born and raised entirely on the surface, there are some deep-seated facts that cannot be ignored.
10 - “Dead Girl Walking” - Heathers the Musical soundtrack
The final show tune. And a song for Wyll. The poor fool doesn’t understand that Aunlin is fully aware the price her patron demands for its gifts. She knows she’s on a tight schedule to get what she wants. And one thing she wants is to ride him ‘til she breaks him.
