Ch 4: Ikkaku - Night for @heart-pirates-week!

          Due to how regularly he has a firm grasp on his Punishers, as well as being an inevitable side effect of the manual labor associated with working on a ship, Killer's palms are usually calloused. He often wears leather gloves, primarily for the added grip strength, but also partially to mitigate this consequence — though that isn't enough to eliminate the effect entirely.

His hands are distinctly broad and square, strong. His fingers are thick; neither notably long and slender, nor particularly short. The bones are prominent under his skin, and his veins are clearly defined.

Just occasionally, his hands do become clammy — particularly when he is wearing his gloves for extended periods of time. Due to how infrequently he touches other people, it's not something anyone would ever really know about.

Despite Killer receiving burn trauma scars across almost all of his left arm, this injury does not extent to the majority of his hand, and instead begins to fade around his wrist, with very little skin being marred on the back of his hand itself.

Killer's arms are naturally incredibly hairy; however, due to the damage inflicted upon his left arm, this is mostly only still noticeable on his right arm, with his left arm now bearing just a thin coating of nearly invisible hairs over his burns. This hairline extends well past his wrists, causing the back of his right hand to be conspicuously covered in blond hair, and his left hand to bear the aforementioned delicate hairs.

His nails are usually cut down as far as possible, and he very rarely bothers to paint them. Having longer nails as well as having paint on them would inconvenience him during cooking, so it isn't something he bothers with unless it's a particularly special event.

As a habit, Killer will instinctively tighten his grip around his Punishers when he's stressed. This instinctual behavior is still present even when his weapons aren't on his person, and he naturally makes a tight fist when he's angry or irritable.

"I shouldn't allow you to leave." He looked off at the greater threat in the distance. People's lives always took precedence over an arrest, but that wouldn't stop him from trying to get both. A pirate escaping was always a threat on lives.

There's some kind of commotion further inland, smoke rising out of the open windows of the newly furnished Marine base. Fire? Someone left the oven on too long, perhaps? Civilians stop and consider the rising plumes of slate gray but there's been no alarm raised - not yet anyway. Most assume whatever it is could be self contained by the navy soldiers stationed there, given that the assigned Captain seemed competent enough in their collective opinion. Several patrols of marines stomp their way back to base - until one of them breaks rank unnoticed and dips under a shadowed awning to nudge against a browsing Ikkaku's side.

Except this person isnt wearing a uniform but the cut and color of their clothes certainly gives that impression on a glance. A hat pulled low over their face shields their features from view but a woman's voice floats out placidly, "You're not from around here, are you?" Soft and pretty, Thea tilts her chin up so the other woman can see her face more clearly. The subtle veneer broken when eye contact is made.

"Pardon my forwardness, but you strike me as someone who doesnt mind a bit of trouble. Think you can lend me a hand with something?" A tickle of mischief in her demeanor, the quirk of her mouth is fey-like.

ㅤ⠀They really needed to stop meeting like this.

ㅤ⠀His hands settled upon her hips, holding her close- not for any nefarious reason, no- it's so that they would be a touch more inconspicuous. At least, that's the excuse he gave himself, even as his fingers squeezed, enjoying the way she felt beneath his hands. The tavern was dark enough that no one would even notice the pair tucked away in the corner, not with Killer's mask set aside, the dark bandana tied ‘round the lower half of his face.

ㅤ⠀Soft. Pretty. Ikkaku had managed to wrap him around her finger. Not that he was going to complain about it. She spoke, and oh, the chuckle that rumbled free from his chest. Naughty, huh?

ㅤ⠀❝Tha’ so?❞ He murmured, oceanic gaze studying her for a moment. A slow smile spread across his lips, hidden by the cloth, though easily heard within his voice as he spoke. ❝Then go ahead. Wha's keepin ye from it, lass? Your crew is busy drinkin’ themselves blind, mine is jus’ the same.❞

He pauses his actions, he was in the process of reaching for an item on the top shelf for her. He'd felt the cool air against his skin that told him his shirt had ridden up, past the yellow sash he normally wore to secure his weapon. He stood straight again, hiding the little peep show as he looked down at her. The grin on his face small, betraying his stern eyes. "Here I thought I was aiding you. Little did I know you were here simply to take advantage of me."

He held the can of tea leaves up above his head, "I suppose you didn't really need these? I can put them back."

Now she thinks Ikkaku is just trying to make it seem like she might have a thing for redheads. She almost covers the twitch of an amused smile, "I'm not so sure he'd be amenable to that idea, and were I inclined to more casual trysts.. I'd still need 4 or 5 shots to have the courage to even ask him."

OH boy. Killer likes to say that outward appearances don't matter much to him, considering his own inherent reluctance to look at himself in reflective surfaces. That being said-

Killer is a boob guy. If they have a nice set, he is unintentionally LOOKING. Or thighs that jiggle when they walk. Or a soft tummy. Or hips. God, he loves hips. Hips that he can grab and his fingers sink in just a touch, that he can squeeze while they ride- ahem. Muscles are good, too. But soft...

He also loves lipstick. Bold colors! A bright red, a stunning purple, a glossy black, a matte Barbie pink. He thinks a bold lip shows that the person wearing it is confident in themself and doesn't shy away from attention.
