Poe Pumpkintooth is my toontown sona (and who i play in corporate clash, if ya ever see me feel free ta say hi! I might actually hop on later lol) he is an inventor who tries to take himself more seriously than most toons, though fails in the most ridiculous ways possible. He technically works for the resistance but also like he does not do his job, half the time he’s hanging around cogs, especially the Spammailer.

The Spammailer or “Ilove yuu” (yep name change lol) is a sellbot manager who acts as a delivery woman. She is found in one of the streets of Mezzo’s melodyland. Her personality can range from cheery and delightful to straight up mean. Her fighting stuff is TBA

I may make a villain g-lo design. it'll be like black hat is collecting refugee heroes LMAOO. but honestly, if g-lo were to have a villain/anti-hero arc, it would be from her view crumbling after miss heed's downfall. then she'd start to notice her mistreatment as a sidekick and want to dismantle the system. i dont think she would join blackhat instute, but she would be inadvertantly helping them. then she and miss heed kiss bc i love my rare pair 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩 maybe they'd both meet because they're both undercover and hiding in the same alleyway or something LOL. I feel like g-lo would make a lousy villain bc she only knows how to be a hero or sidekick and miss heed could show her the ropes since she went to black hat institute. they'd make a good ranged/melee fighting duo too they'd honestly have great chemistry. plssss ilove them so much and i ship them so much (they've never interacted)

Some more because I have hot anxious femme brigade brain rot(and I'm probably getting annoying):

a) Starlet's not really out at work, even though she suspects that some of the other girls may know what's up

b) one of the lady bosses(who encouraged Starlet into becoming a dancer) absolutely knows but she doesn't say anything to Starlet about it

c)her suspicions are confirmed once she starts seeing Dakota pop up more frequently both in the lounge itself and backstage

d) Baby keeps their private,romantic and public lives as separate as possible. Her go-go dancer friends don't know about her graphic designer friends, but Dakota and Starlet know about both groups.

e) the go-go girlies know about Dakota and Starlet because they always make an appearance and make it rain on Baby whenever she performs(the other girls get tips too, equal opportunity money making here)

f) Baby and Starlet work on a trade system in terms of costumes (i.e: Starlet stoning one of Baby's go-go dancing outfits in exchange for Baby working on her headpiece or hair), while Dakota does sketches for them both

ilove how you draw the clothes of the characters! it is has any particular reason for you to draw them that way?might have some inspiration? ((sorry no speak english))

A/n: That is a wonderful and very interesting question! (This explanation ended up getting super long, so I bolded the pieces that actually answer your question.)

There are a few different inspirations for the designs. In looking at how gems are dressed in the show, it’s often somewhere between retro-futurism and sport leotards. A lot of it seems to be based on dance leotards, which makes a lot of sense! However, it’s made as a projection of light--in other words, it is their body. Because the gems are organic in this universe, I wanted the designs of the clothing to feel more like they could be real clothes, too. More like they can come off and still be cloth.

I hate to admit this to some degree, since it’s kind of cursed knowledge according to those in my Discord server, but Peridot’s redesigned outfit is specifically based on a Powerlifting uniform. It’s just Yellow Diamond themed. It’s just sort of what her canon design reminds me of??? For some reason??? Then Quartzes kind of look like they wear wrestling leotards... So that’s what quartz outfits will mostly be based on, probably.

In terms of colors, I started with Peridot’s design. When I was first designing everyone, I was thinking very heavily about “greys,” a kind of alien that exists in pop culture, which are often referenced in the show around Peridot especially. That’s actually why everyone’s eyes are black! Pearl is most closely related to greys, being white-skinned, tall, skinny, and so on. Thus, I tried to translate her outfit to be very space-age, very retro-future, but still be heavily based in ballet. Steven, I think, was the most interesting one to design. Fun fact: I’m not colorblind, but there are some shades of red that I can’t actually see! I can tell when it’s a shade of red I can’t see because the color will glitch and fade back and forth between red and orange like a broken VHS tape color error. I like red, though, and so I wanted to get as close as I could to colors I can’t see without using colors I can’t see. That’s why he has so much burgundy in his color palette! The rose in his hair when he’s older actually was originally for balancing the bold color of his jacket into the rest of his body. His sandals match for the same reason. It added a lot into my designs of Rose and Lion, too! The thing is that I actually dislike Steven’s canon jacket in Future. There’s a whole practiced rant about it, but the short version is that I feel like the varsity jacket doesn’t make sense with his personality. I wanted to make a design that I felt fit better with Steven’s personality, including the rather unexplored interest in fashion Steven clearly has (but rarely shows) throughout the series. Steven knows how to do makeup. Steven selects and even wore dresses for people. He owns fashion magazines, even explaining to the gems what they should wear. On the day he notices people are getting abducted, he gets worried about Jamie because he was waiting for his package: a pair of khakis. Steven likes fashion. Why don’t we see this expressed more? Amethyst is currently meant to look rather punkish, as I consider her at this point to be in a sort of teenage rebellion phase, and I wanted to reflect that in her design. Thus, she has a largely dark purple color palette, as well as fairly punky gloves. Garnet is, well, Garnet. I didn’t really change her design much beyond making her colors more fitting for fungus, and making her clothes look more like a leotard. Otherwise, it was mostly about making everyone look more natural and organic, instead of the unnatural shapes the Crewniverse uses to specifically make the gems look less organic. That’s why Peridot’s hair isn’t a triangle, why Garnet’s hair is more realistically shaped, and so on. Palettes got muted, hairstyles got changed, body shapes got mildly changed... You get the idea.
