"Wake up, baby. We're home" you said with warmth in your voice as you parked the car in front of your house. Junkyu's eyes slowly flattered open, when you tapped his shoulder.

"Let's get inside, okay?"

The boy looked at you with tired eyes, before nodding slowly as an answer. He opened the car door with shaky hands as you grabbed your bag from the backseat until you were out in the cold as well. Together you both walked inside, taking off your jacket and shoes, before you hushed Junkyu upstairs to lay down and rest. Once you’ve heard the dull sound of the bedroom door closing, you couldn’t help but let out a big sigh, helping you to get that weight off your shoulders.

Your worries were practically gone, but as long as he’s still pale and unfit like that, you couldn’t let go of the anxious feeling you had.

“Feeling any better?”, you wanted to know after sitting down next to him, your hand striking through his soft, black hair. He was shivering a bit, his forehead still warm. You took the towel and dabbed some sweat away, before placing it down.

“I do feel a bit better thanks to you” he yawned, before adding on, “I’m sorry for making you worry about me so much.”

“It’s okay, baby. Just...”

You looked down at your feet.

“Just don’t push yourself so hard, okay? If you feel sick, go home and rest. I know how much you want to debut but your health is the most important thing.”

He straightened up and gave you a quick peck on the cheek, your hand now in his. His thumb was rubbing small circles on your palm.

“I know that and I will try to take more care of myself. Sometimes though, I just forget about everything and focus on the evaluation that’s coming up and I get lost in practice.”

“That’s why I’m here. I will always be right by your side, making sure you’re okay” you assured him with a warm smile. “Especially when you get sick like this.”

Seeing his face lighten up as you said that, made your heart melt like ice cream in the sun.

“I’ve prepared some porridge. Do you want to go down and eat it or have it here?”

“Can you bring it upstairs, please? It’s too cold to put the blanket away.”

Softly pinching his cheek, you answered: “Of course baby, I’ll be right back”, before you stood up and ran down to the kitchen to fill a big bowl for you sick boyfriend.

Junkyu has stopped shivering a while ago too, which meant he was slowly getting better.

“Now let me check on that fever of yours” you said, reaching for the thermometer on the nightstand.

A relieved sigh left your moth when you saw the number on the small display. His temperature was not as high as from earlier today.

“You’re getting better bit by bit, Kyu. But you still have to take your medicine.”

As soon as he heard the word ‘medicine’ he groaned and pouted like a little child. His eyes were looking up at the ceiling, his arms crossed.

“Do I really have to?”, the boy whined. Instead of answering him right away, you just took out a pill from the packaging, whilst giving him a stern look. Sometimes you wondered wether you’re really his girlfriend and not his mom.

“If you want to get better soon, you have to take it.”

He groaned again, but this time he straightened up while doing so, before taking that pill from your hand, popping it inside his mouth. You gave him a water bottle to swallow it easier. After he made an almost disgusted face you gave him a teasing smile.

“See? It wasn’t that bad after all, was it?”

“Yeah whatever” Junkyu grumbled, but immediately softened up again. He rested his head on your shoulder, while also intertwining your hands under the blankets.

“Thank you for taking care of me though, (y/n). I love you and it means a lot to me having you here by my side right now.”

“I love you too, Kyu. You’re my boyfriend, how could I not?”, you whispered against his hair, kissing him on his head. You both remained silent after, enjoying each others company for a while.

Suddenly he turned his head towards you, locking his eyes with yours.

“Can I kiss you?”, he asked with a loving smile on his face. As much as you would have loved to, you shook your head.

“If I get sick, who’s going to take care of you?”

He just nodded his head in agreement, before his soft smile turned into a sheepishly grin.

“Well, is it okay if I steal you heart then? I mean, you’ve said it yourself, I’m your boyfriend after all.”

His attempt of flirting with you - beside the fact that he’s still sick - made you giggle like a silly teenage girl.

“You already have it and you know that” you chuckled while shaking your head over him.
