this motherfucker. is a Big One. MANY thoughts on it, still trying to iron out some of it. heavily based on g1 but with g2 elements that are nice/interesting to me specifically Such As the mask making via elements deal, ekimu, and the okoto setting. i am Cramming As Much Mostly Relevant G1 Things In This As Possible. includes all main toa teams so mata, metru and inika as well as the chronicler's company, Lhikan lesbian ver, several of the Makuta, the Barraki (who are actual animals and also a polycule because why not) and a MNOG-like Makuta who honestly loves and cares for his brother the Great Spirit and thinks putting him in a coma will help. also pewku and jaller's crab. theres even a voriki implication. i have a big post in the drafts for this and perhaps one day it will appear

2009-10 elements will not manage to be included nor will 2016-17 elements. the former because i cannot fit those lads in here tho perhaps bara magna life & survival will make it through, the latter because i havent seen journey to one and frankly i dont know if theres anything of value to take from it. please do yell at me at length in case you disagree. i am very serious abt that i want to learn more, its just that i cant be arsed to get netflix for anything

the bad news is i have little to no plot yet. few story beats that i have are discovery of the powers ala superheroes, lewa getting possessed, pohatu having a panic attack, subsequent slow kohatu development from strangers to friends to lovers because im Fucking Weak For Them, onua leaving lewa underground briefly because hes fucking tired of his attitude, slow lewa/tahu/gali development from clashing to friends to what i can only describe as the human equivalent of a cat colony, stupid winter episode, and undecover mission in drag at a fancy place. most of my fully formed thoughts are for this last one but i still have no idea how this happens or why they have to do it, i just know that the boys make for a bunch of pretty ladies. i am just spitting ideas

also had more specific ideas regarding the main toa such as them being half maori and half another ethnicity (australian aboriginal/hawaiian/jewish/latin american/african just to give a few ideas), onua being aromantic and lewa being goth

only features the Toa Mata, Toa Metru Hordika, Artakha, Karzhani and Velika. the Toa Mata are six parentless siblings separated at birth, bounced around the system until each ended up assigned one of the Toa Metru as their foster parent. weird elemental shit starts happening more prominently now that theyre in a safe and loving environment, and a mysterious man named Artakha who seems to have history with the Metru begins showing up insistently and intimidatingly demanding custody of the kids as their father.

little known fact, i am a huge the walking dead fan. it's the first tv show i ever got into (i was 9 when it premiered!) and one of the very few shows i ever watched on a weekly release basis.

i remember, up until season 8 when i stopped watching, i literally had never once in over 8 years missed an episode. i was seated at 9pm every sunday evening when it released.

my whole family sat around to watch it together, but we all stopped when they killed carl because that was just unforgivable, atrocious writing that we could not look past.

we tuned in for rick grimes' last episode, and for michonne, but we never watched the show in earnest after season 8.

i did, however, tune in to the finale last night. it was a bit bittersweet, now that i have grown up so much, i had a watch party with a group of friends rather than my family being together (people have moved out, moved on).

while watching it, it was just a tad disappointing because it really wasn't the walking dead for me. the walking dead died with carl grimes.

the camera angles, the filter, the camera quality, the characters, they just aren't what i fell in love with. i miss the grain, the hazy look, the lowkey-ness of it, the tight knit cast of characters. i miss the original opening credits. i miss rick grimes more than anything.

but, nevertheless, i was actually really impressed with the series finale. i cried. A LOT. the performances, specifically from connie, kelly, magna, yumiko, and luke in that first act of the episode... wow. i was a puddle of tears. i hardly knew those characters, but the walking dead has a phenomenal, talented cast.

and rosita, my love :( full on sobbing mess. she deserved better. she deserved to live forever with her baby girl that she fought so hard for. she deserved to go swimming, in the summer, with her bestie, eugene. a beautiful, powerful performance from christian serratos. rosita espinosa is a walking dead icon, one of its best characters. she deserved to make it to the end. that was a raw, heartbreaking end to her story.

and i dont know if i can put my love and emotions during that very final scene into words. rick grimes, my beloved. one of my all time favorite characters, the first character i ever stanned, a character i will always hold so close to my heart. you cannot have the walking dead without rick grimes.

i was convinced that neither rick or michonne would make an appearance. i should have known that andrew and danai wouldn't let the show end without one more epic scene.

i screamed, burst into even more tears, and had the body high of a lifetime when i got to see rick grimes on my screen again.

perfect ending to the finale, perfect final monologue, pitched in from the entire cast, finished by michonne and rick. the beautiful montage of all the past, iconic characters. the nods to all who built the walking dead and made it as incredible as it was. seeing glenn, carl, beth, hershel, and tara grace my screen again... it was a beautiful final few minutes to a show i will always, always, always love.

rick grimes has, what i consider to be, the most epic, intense, profound character arc of all time. i've loved him since season 1, and i'll follow his path through the walking dead universe with no hesitation.

rick grimes went from believing "we are the walking dead" to believing "we're the ones who live."

the walking dead changed, for the worse. but, that finale was truly a love letter to what it used to be. it was incredible. im so sad it's over, that it couldn't end during its peak, but i cannot wait to see rick grimes and michonne grimes back on my screen, next year.

What I would like to see in the walking dead season 11. (Also spoiler for all the seasons)

I haven't gotten that far into the comics (only up to where rick group first meet in Alexandria) so I dont know much about commonwealth but here what I would like to see in s11.

- Flashbacks , this would be for mainly for new characters such as princess, magna , yumiko ect ect

- Magna and Yumiko origin story , I love these two with all my heart so seeing a backstory to them would be amazing. We got a hint of there past in s10 but not much. (If amc doesn't fix there relationship, I'm suing them)

- Actual sad deaths . The last time I probably cried to a death scene was Tara or Glenn's. Since Ezekiel is probably gonna die and his death is probably gonna be the most heart wrenching one to watch. Since his death gonna effect everyone (jerry, carol, yumiko ect)

- More time with kids , in s11 I want to see judith and hershel jr kick some ass. I want to see their friendship

-past characters mention (that aren't beth glenn and hershel greene ) we need other dead characters to be mention such as merle , Andreas, abraham , Noah and other characters. Since it felt like we have just been focusing on glenn death for so long

- Hint to who took rick and heath

alden didn’t come from magna’s group but sometimes i forget that he didn’t.  aside from magna  (  which should change, thanks  )  he’s so close with all of them.   luke is his best friend,  he and yumiko act like co-eaders who always respect the other’s decisions and know how to work together, connie is part of the family because of how she saved adam,  and kelly has helped him heal and move on from things that have troubled him.  these are his people and i imagine alden is one of the people who made them all feel most welcome at hilltop.

ok SO OK black clover has such a huge cast that it’s actually unfair because every character is to die for buuuut relationship-wise:

asta & yuno: i’m so so so basic BUT I JUST?? LOVE THEM SM??? and i’m always a sucker for rivals/best friends but i think what gets me here is how healthy their relationship is?? they both acknowlegde each other and push each other to do their best without being harmful and it’s such a refreshing breather from tropes where only one person in a rivalry really cares about the relationship. i see them as the best of friends who always confide in one another and know each other better than anyone else, but recently (and it’s all lily’s fault for ranting about it) i’ve fallen in love with their ship too. which is surprising becuz i’m not really a shipper but these two.... they did it for me

the vermillion siblings: GOD THEY JUST??? I LOVE THEM SM! mereoleona is my absolute queen and the way she embodies that violent older sister who expects the best from her siblings kills me. i love how leo looks up to his siblings and the way all their personalities fit their sibling role is so so so perfect.

noelle & vanessa: love love love the sibling-vibe i get from these two! i wish they had more scenes together because their dynamic is so great. i love thinking about how vanessa pushes noelle out of her shell too!! 

nacht & asta: i don’t think i’ve ever loved a favoritism relationship as much as i love this one. THE WAY NACHT SAW ASTA AND WAS LIKE “yup ur mine now” IS SO FUNNY HE JUST UP AND ADOPTS HIM ON THE SPOT. but nacht’s soft spot for asta IS SO CUTE and honestly i reallllly hope we get to see some scenes where nacht interacts with the rest of the bulls and everyone notices the blatant favoratism.

luck & magna: do i even need to say anything? chaotic stupid friend and chaotic stupid friend combine to make one whole brainless duo. 

yami & the bulls: LISTEN. LISTEN. WHY DOES YAMI FIT INTO THE ROLE OF 28-YEAR-OLD SINGLE FATHER OF A GROUP OF MISFITS. he really just up and adopts any problem child he sees like “yeah ur funny oh ur insane ur fucking crazy i want all of you”. i looove how he’s so soft for his squad but refuses to admit it AND OMG THE LATEST CHAPTERS? WHERE THE BULLS SAY THEY LOVE YAMI AND HE SAYS IT BACK?? GOD I THINK I ACTUALLY DIED.

zora & nero: this is new and they’ve only have like one scene together BUT THEY WOULD BE THAT ONE DUO THAT JUST JUDGES EVERYONE. i love how they both hold the only braincell of the group and i think there’s a lot of potential bonding that could be done between them. tbh the latest chap is what did it for me

I'm bored at work so I'm making a list of characters, 3 of which twd has to kill off the next episode, bc Carol and Caryl needs more screentime. Any 3 of their choosing. Idc how bad the writing is.

1) alden. I'd be fine if we never saw him again and everyone forgot about him a la heath. Altho I do think it'd be funny if we saw heath in cameo at commonwealth and nobody remembered/recognized him lol

2) Judith's bullies. They all suck. Also they are collectively 1 character so no cheating

3) father Gabe. He's a weenie. I am forever bitter about rosita ending up with him and not siddiq.

4) yumikos brother. Cut zekes goiter off and then go bake cakes offscreen for the rest of your boring life. Also I'm annoyed that we never even knew yumiko had a brother let alone wanted to find her brother in the past 1.5 seasons she's been on the show. Tbh they should have found out he died before they got there and mercer is secretly a surgeon. Whatever.

5) magna. Don't get me wrong I like her and I always love wlw on my TV but the fact is that I need caryl more, and since she's already grown from hot-headed distrusting and antagonistic to mellow and community focused and wanting to heal and forgiving Carol, she's served her purpose. Love you bye.

6) Stephanie. Who cares? Tbh it should have been that as soon as they got to commonwealth and Eugene mentioned Stephanie they gaslight the fuck out of him and say Stephanie doesn't exist and he's too busy not getting deported to worry about it or something. Whatever. Idc.

7) Eugene solely bc I hate his braid with the fire of 1000 suns. Maybe Stephanie can be a commonwealth hairdresser and snip it off and they run into the sunset together or something. Whatever

8) Virgil. I like Connie but I feel like he got his whole story out with drugging michonne and such. Im good. Maybe he can redeem himself by sacrificing himself for Connie or something idk. Don't care about him

9) negan. I am forever team Maggie and their ongoing hostility is understandable but boring bc tbh I'd be irritated if she forgives him. Rapists and torturers don't get a pass from me just bc they plant tomatoes and sometimes have funny one-liners. He should die sacrificing himself for Maggie w the reapers. Actually you know what that's mandatory I need to see this

Their first unofficial meeting was somewhere in the royal capital during a festival. She was running errands for her adoptive parents back at the forbidden realm and was in a rush to go home when a parade blocks all her routes with no other choice left than to walk back home. It was near impossible to do that, seeing as she wasn’t even equipped to travel that far back, she would’ve starved on the unpaved road. So she settled on waiting for the parade to be over, blending into the cheering crowd as colorful vehicles passed by.

The day was almost over when she’s finally walking back to the public carriages, arms sore and feet aching from standing and maneuvering past massive crowds. Most of her energy was spent, though she didn’t have much to spend anyway but her insistence on getting back home as soon as possible was pushing her feet forward. And it might’ve been for this stubbornness that she doesn’t notice the figures standing by alleyways that approach her quietly.

Hands pull her away from her thoughts and drag her into the darkness, not sparing a moment to let her yelp when she’s thrown to the ground. The bag she had been carrying laid haphazardly and she’s relieved that none of the contents were spilled. The figures standing above her were leering, their smiles all too wide for her liking.

Zora was doing his regularly scheduled Magic-Knight-Hunt when he heard the commotion. He had been wandering around since the festival started, separating from the rest of the Black Bulls to do what he did best. He spots the shawls of the Purple Orca squad on their shoulders and decides to stick around to scope out the situation. To his surprise she ends up handling the situation well, using her magic underhandedly and fleeing from the scene, bag snug tightly in her arms. She hops into a carriage and takes off, her supposed assailants on the ground after the spell she casted stung their eyes and burned their tongues.

“So what were you going to do if I didn’t use my magic then?” Elaine tosses the orange seeds to the ground, patting her hands clean with a clap before leaning back on the tree. The grass under their feet tickled, and she pulled her feet towards what was left of the blanket they laid out for the picnic. “Would’ve been a lovely first impression if you saved me that time.”

Zora snorts. “Ya’ didn’t look like you needed my help.” He’s sprawled out on the ground, body barely on the blanket as he laid on his side, flicking leaves and stones into the distance with his long fingers. “But if ya’ asked me to help then I would’ve done what I always have.”

He thinks back to meeting her eyes in that same alleyway. It may have been pure coincidence or they understood what the other meant in that second. “I’m okay.” He watched her take off in a flitter of movement, just as dumb-founded as her assailants were, but also proud that she managed to find a way to escape without starting a fight. Even if she was skilled with magic, she was clearly outnumbered. When she fled the scene, he took the matter into his own hands and promptly left as well, later dragged back to the group by Magna.

The rustle of dead leaves fill in the silence while they relax under the shade of an old tree. They were almost done going through the basket of food Elaine brought along for their little “date”, with only the snacks left unopened.

Elaine sighs, stretching her arms out into the air with a huff. “I’m so glad I have a caring boyfriend.”

“I don’t like your tone.”

“What? I was complimenting you.”

“Didn’t sound like it.”

She thinks for a moment, eyes tracing odd shapes in the clouds to soothe herself. Her eyes flutter and she’s reminded that she hadn’t slept much since coming back after the raid with how heavy her lids felt. The clouds above started shifting and little spots of blue emerged by the second.

“Will you accept my ‘I love you’s then?”

“Does it come with a kiss?”

Elaine chuckles, bringing a hand up to cover her face. “Of course.”

what worries you the most about 18 episode? im worried and mad that they are gonna argue about C*nnie. as if he cares about her

First of all Daryl does care about Connie. They both do. She was a part of their group and Daryl spent a lot of time with her. Of course he’s going to care and be sad that she’s missing. I think it’s going to be good for them to argue about it because I initially thought it was weird that Daryl just seemed to forget Connie was missing.

Carols reckless actions lead to the events that caused Connie to be trapped. Do I blame Carol? No. She made it clear she was going to do whatever it took to destroy Alpha and the horde and knew it was dangerous and THATS why she tried to do it on her own. She didn’t want anyone to follow her. Carol also conflicted because on one hand she feels deeply guilty about bringing harm to Magna and Connie but on the other hand she did what she needed to do to avenge her son.

The biggest thing that worries me is that from spoilers, Carol doesn’t seem to stick up for herself. Daryl seems to get all the digs in at her and she’s just going to take it. I love Daryl Dixon, I do. But if he reverts back to his s2 style outbursts, I won’t like it. I’m also slightly worried that they don’t make up in the episode but I’m confident that they eventually will. There would be no grounds for the spin off if they hated each other.

Sometimes it’s easier to fix something that’s completely broken and start from scratch rather than just patched up the fractures. That’s what I believe they’re doing with Caryl

SPOILERS FOR THE WALKING DEAD 10x09! [review?? first paragraph / donnie in the second]

10x09 was a doozy. personally, i thought the stress and tension was great, and i was always so worried for every character even though i had read extensive spoilers beforehand. although, twd has a habit of making scenes darker than they need to be. not a big fan of that. and... we don’t need to talk about that scene... props to jeffrey dean morgan and samantha morton, but im not too big on the walker skin fetish. i absolutely adored every single connie scene (partly because she’s my favorite character, and partly because of how great the scenes were), especially when she calmed carol down. it just shows how sweet of a person connie is. melissa mcbride’s acting was phenomenal in this ep, and though i havent been that much of a fan of carol these last couple episodes due to her recklessness and (albiet a bit justified) thirst for revenge, melissa’s acting made me feel intense sympathy for her. i have my gripes with carol, but at the end of the day she has lost someone very important to her, and although that does not justify doing reckless things for selfish reasons, lying to and manipulating her best friend, i cant help but hope she grows from this and learns from it. not sure if that made sense but im going with it. angel theory’s acting was astonishing as well, especially in the end. you can hear the absolute loss and devastation in her cries. it made me tear up, which is something twd hasnt been able to do since rick disappeared. norman’s acting was w o n d e r f u l. absolutely so. he will literally get me crying everytime. i also really really loved aaron and jerry in this ep!! aaron’s always been one of my favorites, so it was nice seeing him being amazing :))). jerry’s just great in general, change my mind.

i loved connie and daryl’s interactions in this ep. it solidifies how he trusts her with the group. and both of their reactions to each other in peril were amazing. i only caught this on my second time rewatching, but connie had tears in her eyes when she realized daryl and carol were in trouble and needed assistance. that, paired with her fervent insistance to magna that they help them, really means something. and after the dynamite was set off, and the cave opening collapsed... daryl’s immediate facial change from shocked to terrified was instantaneous as soon as he realized what had happened. and when he threw himself atop the rubble, desperatly trying to remove every rock with his bear hands, and the desperate, tear ridden “THEN HELP ME” to aaron. that absolutely killed me. it reminded me of a less violent version of his reaction to merle’s severed hand on the rooftop in season 1. absolutely gutted. and listen, i hate it when carol and daryl are at odds, i do, but the disgust and anger daryl displayed toward carol was so real. he’s disappointed in her. he’s angry and terrified and desperate to make sure connie (and magna) is safe. and with carol begging him to blame her, and to say he blames her, topped with “you cared about her, and now she’s gone because of me” really gutted me. and now i love magna with all my heart, i do, but im not sure if it was just magna stuck in the cave, daryl would respond with as much determination and desperation as he did when he realized that, not only magna, but connie was stuck too. his reaction officially sold me on being more of a positive donnie shipper, rather than just having wishful thinking. his reaction also kind of reminds me of michonne’s when she thought rick had been eaten by walkers in,,, season 8? season 7? i cant remember. so yeah. episode was wonderful, i loved the little donnie moments, i loved the carol and daryl moments, i loved daryl’s and kelly’s reactions to the cave collapsing with connie stuck inside. well, not love loved, but felt them so deep in my soul i almost sobbed.

i hope connie and magna make it out of the cave alive. although there has been speculation and an array of theories leading to magna’s death and connie eventually being rescued by maggie (inside or outside of the cave). these are all just theories of course, but i love the idea. i am hoping that connie makes it out and survives the season, and daryl’s reaction to her being left behind even more solidified my “confidience” in this. his reaction really showed how much he cared about her, if his former interactions with her hadn’t shown that already.

Stalker Sequence - Part 2

Next we see Gabriel getting the location of the cave from Mary on a map. He believes her and wants to send out two rescue parties.(This is the opposite to Alpha believing Negan, in regards to Mary being a traitor and sending Beta out as a ‘recovery party’) 

The following scene Alpha follows Daryl to the gas station he is hiding in

He is in pain, injured and trying to not be seen by her.

She sits down next to this car with the open boot (very significant as this is again a broken down white vehicle)

In the other coda to this episode 510 we got these clues from Maggie

Maggie first opens the boot, then closes it then its stuck closed until Glenn comes. Maggie to start with pulls her gun out thinking about shooting the boot open. This is a repeat of Judith shooting Beta through the door (remember this for later) 

Alpha bangs her gun on a pipe calling the dead (it's possible that Beth is in the car boot starting to wake, making noise and attracting walkers. Daryl can't see her shes trapped in the car boot, but thinks she has become a walker.

Also if anyone can figure this clock out im all ears, not sure what to make of it... looks to be pointing to 402? 

We next see Gabriel's keep sake box, he pulls out shotgun cases preparing to go out searching for his people. Rosita says he is itching for a fight and he says "So what if I am?" Remember above when I said someone would seek revenge and someone would be a traitor and that those things combined would lead to the group falling into a trap that would lead to Beth being taken, well keep that in mind as we go on. We then see Judith asking Mary in her cell what's her name, and what she was like before the Whisperers she can't remember much just echoes of the past (Another indication Beth wakes with memory loss) and is still trapped. Again she and Judith take a liking to each other quickly just like with Magna.

Back to Alpha and Daryl, the three walkers come due to Alpha making noise, and he kills them, using her knife on one. We cross back to Alexandria and "Echo" post has called in saying around 100 walkers with whisperers are heading towards them (We can now due to Mary's conversation with Judith figure out that 'Echo' post is code for Beth or the location of Beth and her missing memory) but it ends up being a trap we find out later on. As I mentioned before they would end up falling into a trap that will leave Mary (Beth) exposed to be taken.

Over all think of Echo post as being where Beth's body is in season 5 and most of the group are with her, but they send out a few people ahead as look outs who call the group telling them a herd is coming, causing all but Laura (Carol) and Rosita (Daryl) to leave.

We see Laura take the call from Echo post. Laura who is both a Beth and a Carol look alike and proxy in this episode helping piece together what happened back in season 5. She is the one who takes the information that leads to the trap of Alexandria (Mary/Beth) being left with minimal defenses.

Notice Laura is paired next to Scott (a Tyrese proxy) like Carol would have been back then.

What happens next sets the board even more, as they all decide on a plan, they question why the Whisperers would send a herd now and Gabriel says "because we have a defector giving us information" they plan on leaving a large group to defend the gates and have Rosita, Gabriel and a few others go deal with the herd coming towards Echo post.

But Gabriel (Who is definitely in a leadership position I would place him as a Rick repeat) He sees Rosita (A Daryl stand in here who even puts the leather vest on) looking uncomfortable about going out (leaving Beth) 

So Gabriel (Rick) says "change of plans "Laura (Carol) and Rosita (Daryl) stay and guard the gates with Skeleton crew (Beth) the rest will go out to break up the herd"

Next scene it's night time and we see this very symbolic scene of Beta coming up from the grave

By now the defenses are minimal at Alexandria (Mary’s cell/Beth's Grave) and he creates a diversion of walkers to distract Rosita (Daryl) and Laura (Carol) to get to Mary in her cell (Beth)

It cuts to Echo post, the group get there and see two of their own dead and wonder what happened.

Gabriel puts it all together and realizes that the two look outs at Echo post were forced to lie on the radio setting the trap and then were killed. (This is a repeat of when Maggie and Carol were caught by the saviors and forced to lie on the radio in an attempt to trade people, this is a coda (different ending) of that episode as the two here die (Maggie and Carol) instead of the ones that took them. But it further implicates Maggie and Carol in being somewhat responsible for Beth being taken.

Gabriel calls Rosita straight away and both echo post and Alexandria are confused, as there is no herd or attack yet, just two dead lookouts. It's then we see Beta use the dead to distract Rosita and Laura to get to Mary.

Before this scene above where Beta kills the people in this house, to use as walker distractions, we see Beta cross from this house...

To this house...

Wow! I need stop and add the visual of these two houses!!!

These images are major references to these filming locations, that were filmed at in season 5, but to date have never been seen on screen… but they will be.

The reason this episode is called stalker is because someone was stalking Beth back in season 5 and one of the locations she will be at, at some point will be these houses. Beta, after these houses goes straight to Mary’s cell (the car boot)

He tells her "these are not your people; you think you're still alive? You were dead the minute you came to us" (definitely alluding to Grady and we even have a situation where Laura/Carol comes in and confronts Beta, she dies.  

In 1010 after Mary gets away from the cell, thanks to Laura/Carol. Judith gives her somewhere to hide. (indicating Beth will be in the car boot, will get be let out or forced out by this ‘stalker’ and get into the house where Judith and a gun are.

The series of events here are fascinating because we are at the crossover point where the two versions of the same story cross and head the other way so they are doubled.

Mary has escaped the cell (the car) due to someone helping her get out and for a short time Judith provides a hiding place from Beta for Mary/Beth. 

Remember when Maggie wanted to shoot the car boot open in 510?

Mary being stuck in the bedroom with Judith is the reverse of her being back in the car boot and someone shooting the lock out to open it. 

This is the crossover story to Mary getting let out of her cell.  

Here we get more good clues as to what happened.

Once the kids are safe Beta wakes and gets to Mary, causing her to fall, hit her head and pass out for a moment.

It's then Rosita (Daryl) shows up, she now comes across Beta and is aware of his plan to take Mary who is still passed out on the floor. 

Even though Mary has moved locations Rosita does not see how she moved. Rosita only sees her passed out.

Indicating Beth will wake when someone tries to take her from the car but will pass out inside the house trying to get away from them. Then Daryl comes along realizes someone is trying to take her but still doesn't realize she is alive.

Beta and Rosita fight (This is a repeat of Daryl/Alpha fighting too this is just a smaller scale of it) The whole time they fight Mary is unconscious, Beta gets the upper hand and knocks Rosita to the ground, she is winded, coughing and has her eyes closed.

Beta is just about to kill Rosita (Daryl) when Mary tells out "stop!" 

We see Beta, pause, he looks at Mary and she is threatening to kill herself with a knife to stop Beta from killing Rosita (Daryl).

She knows Alpha wants her alive and willing leaves with Beta to save Rosita.

We never see Rosita look at Mary, she is still out of it from the fight. This fight mixed with the Alpha/Daryl fight makes me think Daryl will be so out of it at one point from fighting with this ‘Stalker’ that he won’t know she was alive.

The very next scene is Beta and Mary walking, on their way back to Alpha.

Beta says "you will rise you will fall, you will walk with your sister again"

(ITS ABOUT BETH, THIS IS BLATANTLY ABOUT BETH!) Sorry for yelling lol. But again this one has a different coda because Gabriel (Rick) and his group come along shoot at Beta (he runs off) and Mary tells them she drew him out to stop him from killing Rosita. Mary/Beth re-joins the group.

Next we see Alpha (who had passed out from her injuries) wake up at night in the Gas station next to the car (opposite of Mary waking in the day time in her cell)

Alpha is wearing her mask but pulls it off (this shows Beth will initially wake and that will been seen or heard to be as her waking as a walker, but she takes the mask off and its clear she is not a walker)

Now we see Alpha as Beth, she even has the scar above the eyebrow on one side and another scar on her other cheek.

She is delirious and so is Daryl (he is out of it just like Rosita in her fight with Beta) Alpha starts talking about seeing the light through the dark. She sees all of the people who got her there standing around her and she thanks them for making her strong. Daryl can't see the light only dark (because Beth is dead to his knowledge)

Daryl tells Alpha she lost Lydia because she didn't love her.

They are both alone at this point and I would guess in the coda version of this scene Daryl will actually be saying he loves her to Beth. Alpha gets up trying to get to him saying "What did you say" "I'm all ears" but collapses before she gets to him. (This is another repeat of the interrupted Alone ‘Oh’ moment too) We then see Lydia arrive (definitely a younger version of Daryl)

Lydia calls her ‘Mother’ (another reference to Alpha being a Beth repeat) Alpha wants Lydia (Daryl) to kill her, Lydia can't and talks about being human and that that is what she seeks.

Again this sequence speaks to Daryl thinking Beth is waking up as a walker, but can't put her down. Even the way Alpha is moving enhances the effect that this is Beth and Daryl and Beth is coming to, but he thinks she's not human and he is not all with it.

He leaves at the same time as Lydia and as they go Alpha saying "I want you to stay" before passing out.

This is the opposite end of the story; to where we started with Mary waking in the cell.

Alpha wakes and it's daylight, she's alone. (Repeat of Beth waking in the hospital the first time)

Alpha manages to get up (again there is a white car with the boot open in the background) pointing to Beth getting out of the RV or car, whatever it is she’s put in.

My guess is its actually going to be the red car with the boot open in the spoiler photos outside the houses; this is her ‘cave’.

Alpha sees the note and knife left by Lydia, (this is a repeat of the note left for Sofia)

The very next scene is this the empty grave, this time in the daylight.

I mean come on!!! It's the grave at the end of the RV tunnel and it's empty. Aaron gets back (this is where he becomes Daryl) Gabriel (Rick) asks if he is okay and where the others are.

Aaron instantly focuses all his attention on the empty grave asking "What Happened?" 

He can't stop looking at the grave even as he tells them the group got separated and not everyone made it out.

We then see Aaron (Daryl) interact with Mary, he gets in the cart and Rosita is in the cart also, they are all heading to Hilltop.

Mary even has the scar on the cheek like Beth now.

This is showing what would have happened if Beth (Mary) re-joined the group instead of disappearing and them all travelling to Virginia/Alexandria after Atlanta. In this version Carol is the one that's missing dead (Laura), instead of the ‘sister’ Mary I'm very interested to see Mary's continued story because I think it will show what would have been if Beth walked out of the hospital and not Carol and I will do another post soon about how Beth and Carol have to switch so when Beth comes back Carol will go. The next scene shows Daryl waking up in the forest

Which was a complete call back to 510 and this shot

Notice the infinity symbol on his forehead and all the blood just laying against the tree. Two Daryl’s in the one shot, just like there are two Daryl’s when Lydia and him are here together. 

He asks Lydia If she killed her Mother, she couldn't just as Daryl couldn't put Beth down. We then see Alpha wake again, she has been moved (repeating what we already know happened) and wakes with a white sheet under her and two whisperers attending her. 

She has been reborn and says "I am no longer weak"

She goes on her rant about being free, bathing in blood, blah blah blah lol, but what stood out to me was the NOW reference as the shot zooms out. Now is the end of the world.

We all know Beth's clock points to 1010 but it also points to NOW

pre s9 TWD finale spoilers/ Carol!

idk what to think of the s9 finale spoilers. lol im like wtf just happened! I told myself to not speculate/assume much till after s9 ends. Because then I’ll see more on what the writers’ are thinking. It’s a lot of changes all at once in s9 in general and finale. that damn winter timejump (AK) I’m hoping after the finale airs, things will make more sense storywise and characterwise. But it’s hard cos of the timejump and lil bits of the spoilers. Also the show is still annoying in some parts. sigh.

I’m still meh on the writing/the show/still hate-watching (no grimes boy-leads). TWD isn’t always #1 to me and also it went downhill since idk s6, and s9 was just so crazy and a lot of changes. Anyway, I looked at all shippers’ thoughts rn, and I mostly agree with it all about the s9 finale spoilers; just prefer Caryl.

i don’t like that Henry died. But it’s a thought that I had of Henry what it means to Carol and in the show. But it’s like a wrong idea I was suspecting of what the writers were thinking of in s9. I guess Carol is always will be with a kid in her story. idk. Writers had said Henry’s death will change Carol’s story again. Which makes me think of Carol going along like comic-Michonne (again). I wasn’t sure how s9 and on will go because of the other changes going on like mains leaving and stuff. But now I know writers are thinking of Carol and this plot like comic-Michonne, imo. In the comics, Michonne broke up Zeke, Zeke dies from pikes, and then Michonne felt guilty (and then that Rick/Michonne Talk - Caryl talk?) and then Whisperer war. Then Michonne’s like I gotta travel...we later found out she found one of her daughters Elodie (like Rick on the show maybe) which is something I think she’s always longed for, her long arc, reason why she can’t really stay with a man a long time because she can’t get over her daughters being missing. Idk what’s Carol’s or what’s next for her later on. Anyway who knows what will happen with Carol in s10. It was a good theory with the guilt thing about Zeke. Maybe he dies in s10. I was also thinking, writers wanted Carol to be in Kingdom just cos of plot, war, and pikes. Then that plot is done, so ...writers could kill off Henry and Zeke, Kingdom fades away. Carol’s in a new chapter in the story.

I was thinking about C/E and how they became a couple and how it ended it in s10. Like it’s not surprising how rushed they went. First of all, I really didn’t like s8 finale because blaah it didn’t foreshadow s9/one year timejump, it didn’t foreshadow or end character’s past arcs. Carol was just there in the war and fought. No mentions of her with TF and no mentions of C/E either. She went to Kingdom cos Henry asked. Like if u gonna have C/E in s9, why not also add some flirty C/E moment. wtf. So yeah s9 i just only read spoilers, cos it’s way too emotional to watch it and not know much. Like on Rick’s fate, and other changes. whew. It’s not that bad. But there’s some changes I don’t like. Some are just it’s good but too late. Maggie’s exit, sigh. I don’t like that they killed off Jesus, Enid, and Tara. It felt like it’s at a wrong place and time. the pikes scene is weird. I don’t understand the Michonne’s violent arc and why TF is all mad at her. Oh so many random ships omg and timejumps.-AK. So C/E suddenly really are canon in s9 and were engaged/married in s9. Most of their development was offscreen. Like wtf on that. I had expectations on Henry but it went a whole different way. Basically Queen Carol wasn’t really there in s9 like she barely knew much about whisperers, negan, magna’s group. She’s in the background for Plot to happen. To have the Kingdom in action, the pikes to happen. Long hair, elf wear, whatever. Writers still didn’t really develop C/E and Ezekiel as a couple and Zeke as a main character like I would expect if he’s gonna be important. They didn’t. If Zeke’s important like the mains, he shoulda interact with other mains a lot more. Like Rick, Daryl, Michonne in s9. I wasn’t sure what writers will do with Zeke/storywise, but from spoilers, I guess he’s just remain as a supporting character...Kingdom/plot for Carol. In the spoilers, Carol broke up Zeke, it sounds like the troubling in the relationship was offscreen (again) and Carol went to ASZ..away from Kingdom or I think it means Carol will be with TF more again which means she’s more part of the main storyline. Not “Queen Carol” but Carol. It’s gonna be a new chapter, new life for her. But, Idk how s10 will go for sure. 

Carylers are being hopeful and excited about the spoilers of Carol breaking up Zeke and going to ASZ. But the spoiler isnt saying Caryl is gonna happen. Just that Carol is single in ASZ ....with TF. Who knows what’s next. Love triangle or square with Connie? C/E deal with their angst and be back again? I read a theory that Daryl might lead in Hilltop because who’s leading Hilltop? Idt Daryl will do that idk. I was kinda assuming Zeke but who knows. I think Carylers/Carol fans are excited are more about Carol. It’s like Carol’s out of that Kingdom plot and is in ASZ with TF! I guess I mean like Carol from s8 ..or Carol that we knew of for a long time is back. “Queen Carol”; no more.

alright alright, my meds have kicked in and im out of the weird muck i was in this morning. let’s talk restoration.

restoration’s a bit of a strange subject in magic, actually! a lot of mages don’t even consider it a “proper” school of magic, and a lot of folks who normally abhor magic will take to it happily. it’s probably the most practical school for the majority of people - everyone gets hurt, gets sick, etc. 

now we all know that magic comes from magnus, and the magna-ge. but magic is also what constitutes life itself, and even existence itself. i’ve got a theory about this that i’ll probably talk about later.

so we might could theorize that restoration is the act of using magic to restore the inner life-magic of people. i think that’s not very far off! but first we’ve got to consider a few other things, i think - namely, the influence of the divines on restoration magic, and how interconnected the schools of magic are in and of themselves.

so when we’re talking about magic and the divines, we have to mention julianos, of course. but his name isn’t often invoked by healers. he’s more of the patron of very arcane and esoteric forms of magic. what we usually hear connected to restoration are mara, dibella, and stendarr. why not arkay, you might ask? well, he’s about life and death, sure, but he’s more about dying and rebirth than life itself.

okay, so mara is the goddess of love and life. to mara, they’re one in the same, really. to live is to love, and vice-versa. so we can expect her to have something to do with healing magic, right? something, maybe, but she’s more focused really on the “love” part, marriages and whatnot. dibella has some features of healing in her worship, but really, she’s all about beauty and sex and stuff. 

stendarr, though? that’s where it gets interesting. stendarr’s all about mercy, charity, and justice. we see all of this with the vigil of stendarr in skyrim, who, guess what? are all about healing. they also fight the undead, using restoration magic.

BUT.... i’ll be frank. i don’t think any one particular divine is the source of restoration magic. you can be healed, your diseases cured, etc, at any altar of the divines. i think the divines’ connection to restoration is through the faith of their practitioners.

but before i continue that thought, let’s examine where the classification of restoration magic comes from. we’ve seen schools of magic get shuffled around a lot over the course of the past several hundred years. we’ve even lost a couple entirely by the events of skyrim, thaumaturgy and mysticism.

the thing about this concept of schools is.....it’s not really an intrinsic property of its spells. it’s a grouping that’s useful for those who study, practice, and regulate the use of magic. there’s a lot of spells that it’s really hard to say why it shouldn’t be in another school, or at least shared between a couple.

why was telekinesis a mysticism spell? wouldn’t alteration be enough to just....move something? how was sleep, a spell that was originally alteration, become destruction? couldn’t it be illusion, by making the target’s mind fall asleep? how exactly do you tell whether fortify or resist spells should be alteration or restoration? does it matter?

my point is, these classifications are ultimately arbitrary. all these effects are ultimately derived from magic that doesn’t care about what school it’s in. and we know that restoration is a relative newcomer as a form of magic, only appearing sometime in the first era.

i think restoration is a derivative of mysticism, alteration, illusion, and alessian faith. let’s break that down:

mysticism is a rather ... strange school. it’s said to be a way to alter magical forces and reality itself, through meditating on “conundrums and paradoxes.” that’s something that might be fun to a psijic or something, who are credited with inventing the school, but it’s rather tedious to most folks, probably even to most other spellcasters. if only there was another way to channel that sort of power....we’ll get to that momentarily.

alteration, is, rather simply, using magic to change the world around you, but within the confines of normal reality. you can make something heavier or lighter, make something shine with an inner fire, open and lock doors, block attacks, walk on water ... it’s just a way of using magic to manipulate your surroundings. it doesn’t necessarily change how reality works, like mysticism does.

illusion affects the mind, and how it perceives reality. it changes reality on the most local level: within ones own perception of it. it can be used, notably, to calm targets.

finally, alessian faith. remember how i said restoration only really came to be sometimes in the first era? then, you might ask, how could the gods have anything to do with it, if they’ve been around long before the alessian empire?

let’s put it all together. restoration is the art of closing wounds, fixing bones, curing disease (alteration: change the world around you), soothing pain (illusion: change the target’s perception), and actually transferring energy from magic to actual life force (mysticism: alter magical forces themselves) using faith in the divines (as opposed to studying paradoxes in the original psijic way) to channel that power.

okay, so that’s my definition of restoration magic. but uh, it’s actually NOT what i was after when i went about researching it, lol. what i really wanted to think about was what i thought the extent of healing magic was. by that i mean ... does healing leave scars? if so, is it simply a quickening of natural healing? does it literally close wounds and fuse bones as if the injury never happened? 

i think it’s honestly both. it’s the difference between regeneration and healing. regeneration is the quickening of natural healing (say, a healing over time spell), whereas healing is direct and instantaneous healing of injuries. regeneration may leave scars, but those scars may fade quicker, as well. healing is much less likely to leave scars.

my reasoning for this is that we know healing magic is rather common in tamriel, and yet we still see a lot of scars, as well. jiub, for instance, but perhaps even more significantly, emperor reman iii, whose eye was injured and permanently blinded by a former lover. and he had the best healers in the empire to attend to him, almost immediately. it seems to depend on the severity of the injury. it also makes me assume that severe injuries such as severed limbs may be beyond the scope of restoration. 

but! what do i know. there may be in-canon instances of such healing that i’m simply not aware of or not remembering. let me know if you have an example!
