#im just autistic and dont understand the weird distinctions people place on romantic love

Wait are you really are aroace? This inspires me - you write some of the best Sonic ship fanfics! It might be silly but I've been reluctant to write a ship fic in the perspective of an allo Amy because I'm aro (your aroace Sonic fic helped me realize I was truly aro BTW!). But you write them without tagging "aro" and no one bats an eye or corrects you... You made me realize I realized I can write an allo character even if it's not 100% accurate. Thank you.

uhhh so it's taken me some time to figure myself out (upwards of eight years), but i would say i'm demisexual but not aro? but honestly, even that im not sure on, because really- what is romantic love? the things i consider romantic could easily be read as platonic: comfort, safety, casual physical affection... we all internalize this idea of "true love" as something perfect, a collection of tropes and candlelit dinners, but that's not what love is. love, any kind of love, is the moments after. it's being there for each other, when it's good, when it's bad, even when you're both sobbing on the floor. it's being able to laugh together. it's trust.

ooooorr maybe i'm just crazy :P anyway, the point is- it's okay! don't worry about outside opinions and you can do anything you set your mind to <3 my advice, focus on what love means to you, not what it's """supposed""" to be. i may not feel that preliminary rush of romance, but i know what sort of love i do feel, so that's what i write about! chances are, it'll end up feeling more natural than the BAM YOU'RE IN LOVE that a lot of movies tend to pull :)

(as for actually describing attraction um. idfk i just fall back on the senses,, scent, touch, their vocal quirks, how they move, mannerisms, etc. they're just observations, but one of my love languages is people noticing things about me / vice versa! it's an easy way to show that the characters are interested without having to fully understand why :> and thank you so much for all your kind words! ^w^ )
