i dont know if this will even amount to anything, but fuck it

you know in the beginning of A:TLA when Zuko first arrives in the Water Tribe and Sokka comes after him like a bat out of hell?

well its already known how badass Zuko is and hes known to just take down his enemy within five seconds, making them incapable of coming after him again, so why in the hell did he spare Sokka, not even fight him?

the entire time, zuko just sidesteps, avoids, and barely does any damage, while sokka is like, "take that, boomeraang upside the head," and then later on, "drown, bro, drown"

what i headcanon happened is, Zuko, the chaotic gay person he is, went, "oh damn, boy...cute boy...my own age...holy shit" and instantly didnt want to harm him

and yeah, you could say, "zuko just didnt want to harm him or make him incapable of harming him again because he realized sokka is a kid." but remember, zuko had been training from a young age, had been taught, that even kids are warriors. so no, i dont believe zuko would go easy on him for that reason.

zuko really saw this funky, clumsy, brave kid with big blue blue eyes, and short circuited.
