#answering asks#lindentree#im pretending this is all prep for that paladin oc comic ill probably never make#on the more serious note of: how to make your stuff look cool#i recommend doing what im doing now actually: style studies#if you find something you adore about other peoples' work [for me its linework right now]#try drawing it yourself#like draw it in the artist's style as close as you an replicate it#and then draw it in your own style#and see if the reason you like it is because you want to change your style or because its Not Yours#if the answer is 'you like it because its Not Yours' unfortunately everything you ever make will be yours#if the answer is 'you like it because you want to change your style a bit' encorporate it into your style#that is both how you learn what you like/dont likw#and how you build your personal art style
