one of my favorite doctor who things is when companions see the Really Really bad side of the doctor (ten in the runaway bride, twelve in hell bent) and i just think that yaz and dan deserve to see thirteen in a similar terrible light

#heres the thing #im pretty sure they (especially yaz) have seen her do awful things by this point #im sure this has happened in an episode and i have forgotten it. this is highly likely #but the whole thing with chibnall is he has thirteen do these bad things but then paints it as 'a necessary evil the doctor had to do!'#instead of like. oh wow that was really fucked up for her to do that and she should have found a different way #like donna didn't just watch ten kill the racnoss empress and her eggs and go 'welp; thats how it is i guess'#she told him to his face she was scared of him and that she didn't want to travel with him because of it #clara BEGGED twelve not to hurt anyone because of her death. begged him. and then still had to watch as he killed some of his own people #just to get a chance at bringing her back to life #she was horrified! she was terrified of him as well! you could tell how scared he was making her!#whenever thirteen does something Horrific it seems her companions are just like....oh no.....anyways #and it makes me beyond sad #the thing about the doctor is that no they dont always make the right choice sometimes they make bad decisions #especially if fueled by grief the doctor has tendency to commit Atrocities in the name of mourning #i wish chibnall like. could write. <3 #simon says
