Tokimeki Map (or NijiChizu), is "ambiguous"

It's a visual novel, yes, but is not romantic if you don't want it to be? The girls still refer to "You" as "Anata" like they did in SIFAS, and some scenes (if you want to) can be interpreted as them flirting with "you" or vice versa. Pretty much the same dynamic it was going on on SIFAS

If you miss SIFAS’ story, NijiChizu is a pretty good game :D! Overpriced, for sure, but it is nice to have SIFAS story still "officially" preserved somewhere and the people who made it still treating it with (at least what I feel is at least a little bit of) respect.

Everything (except maybe a few? Backgrounds) is reused from SIFAS, so don't expect newer sprites for any of the girls. They do offer 3 new CGIs for all the 12 girls, having a total of 36 new images of them in the style of SIFAS :]! (+ one that have all of them together ircc), which for me is pretty good bc I'm not really a fan of the anime art style (but that's just me!)

Overall it feels more like a fangame (at least for me, and I don't mean it negatively), so you might as well just buy the game (preferably on steam when/if has a discount or 🏴‍☠️ it) if you are a fan of Niji and SIFAS especially!

I had fun, but I'd understand it's not everyone's cup of tea. Although, I sincerely hope you enjoy 🌈✨

Thank you sm anon! This has helped a lot, as I say I'll get the demo and see how I feel about it, but tbh this has cleared a lot of my anxieties about the game itself and I'm looking forward to giving it a go!

I miss SIFAS so much... I hope this can fill the Void TM left by it.
