He doesn't even need to glance up to know it's her, but he is greedy for the sight, so he swings his gaze and takes her in. 

Toes painted a sunny yellow, legs a mile long and climbing, chest heaving, arms pulled back and restrained by the two hybrids bookending her and there - the reason for this surprising moment of quiet - the gag. 

“Did they hurt you?”

Her eyes condemn him to the grave, but it's a bit too late for that. She shakes her head no, but she's not happy about it and murmurs what he is sure is some variation of ‘get them OFF me’ beneath the cloth.

“Let her go.”

“But boss, you gave us strict orders to detain any-”

The word dissolves in a haze of blood and a puff of breath as Klaus tears out the hybrid’s windpipe.  The other man flinches and steps back in alarm, letting the woman’s arm drop from his grip. She promptly tears the gag from her mouth.

“What the fuck, Klaus?” Caroline rasps. 

“They were not ordered to gag detainees, he was not following orders.” A glance up and a flash to the other hybrid, her voice in his ear a cry that slows him down just enough. She stands, arms out, blocking Klaus from the cowering hybrid who takes the opportunity to flash away. He’d kill him later, and more -

“If you kill him later, I will find out about it, Klaus.” How this one vampire could break into his NoLa compound after thirty years of radio silence and completely upend his life was beyond him, but he’d be lying if he said he doesn't welcome the change. Still, there were rituals to consider.

“Oh?” He sucks the blood off his thumb, watches her eyes darken. “And why are you so concerned over my “minion’s” lives?” Klaus has never been one for air quotes and blames Caroline’s presence on his use now. 

“Klaus. I know you’ve had me trailed. I know it’s you that sends elaborate gifts every year on my birthday.” She shrugs her shoulders, rolling them backwards to stretch them out from her confinement. He resolves to find and kill the hybrid again, and she spears him with a knowing glance.

“The drawings were my favorite, you know.” Her eyes are vulnerable in a way he didn’t expect, knowing what she’s been through the past thirty years with those supernatural Mystic Falls idiots. “But what I’m saying is you know me, and you have to know I would be extremely pissed off that I got caught, and extremely vocal in expressing said displeasure. It wasn’t their fault, I would have gagged me too.” She takes a step towards him, her eyes locked on his own. She raises a hand to where his necklaces lie, tugs one out from beneath his shirt. 

“But aside from all of that, don’t you want to know why I’m here?”

favorite character in hxh and why? :)

I love this question especially on shows w a large ensemble cast bc its always a mf with like two episodes worth of screentime

that said, i love all of the main four dearly, separately and as a unit, but my favorite character is probably kite, for a couple different reasons

listen i am a sucker for cool/creative magical abilities but im also just a little stupid sometimes, so i like when they’re unique but still pretty understandable. crazy slots checks all the boxes, and i also think its at least a little funny that this very solemn looking guy’s magical ability is clown gambling

appearance wise, he’s probably one of the stronger examples of hxh’s use of shape language in character design, and that to me makes his look interesting without being overly complicated. i like designs that are straightforward and still compelling!!

character wise, my bottom line with the characters i tend to like is they either have to be nice or something about them has to be funny to me. kite is nice!! (and post chimera ant arc kite is funny to me) i really liked seeing gon and killua join kite’s research team and get the sense of reassurance that somebody had their back not for long tho

and this is something that people have def talked about before but his plot significance goes understated in the 2011 adaptation; in the 2011, it seems as though he’s a new character that’s introduced, then there’s a flashback to his first meeting w gon, but in the 1999 and the manga, he appears in the first episode/chapter, and it’s revealed that it was actually him that told gon about his dad and inspired gon to be a hunter. sheds some light on. later events.

in summary, i just think he’s neat :)

this one might be my favourite out of all of them. i know it says major character death but it happens in the beginning and there’s a promised happy ending so don’t worry!!! this one is a beautiful 20k word masterpiece.... seriously..... this fic is set after the nest arc, it has lots of Plot and plays around with the world and the lore of the Tower, so it’s already fascinating that way, but the real heart of the story is in the emotions!! if you love witnessing khun’s endless devotion to bam, this is the fic that shows you that devotion reflected right back at khun. it might bring you to tears :’)

♡ Our Hearts Are Made of Stars by Ruinous ♡ (ongoing)

out of the 5 or so other time travel au fics in the tog fandom, this one is definitely my favourite!! time travel aus are all super fun to read, but this one stood out to me especially because it hits all the right spots!! it’s written well and i love the level of foresight, and the emotions detailed into this, it really feels like the friendships and bonds are at the heart of this story and all the fighting stuff will turn out just fine, and everything will be ok :)

future fic, set in a cocktail party on the 87th floor. this is so well written!!!!! again, please just read everything written by feyren. the prose is wonderful and everything going on in this fic feels so well-crafted and carefully executed with just the right amount of subtlety in all the emotions. i think it’s gorgeous.

The ex-queen crossed her arms, glaring at her fellow council members. “it is not my fault that my granddaughters….soulmate” she spat “is a filthy isle pirate boy, trust me, I have plans to get him out of her head, the first being an arranged marriage between Ariels son and (y/n)”

“now how are you going to do that?” Luis scoffed, twirling his white mustache between his fingers “while it's not common knowledge that the pirate and your granddaughter are soulmates if it gets out the whole kingdom would riot for her, you know the consequences of forcefully pulling two souls apart”

Leah waved the old king off, he was a sucker for love and allowed his son to marry a peasant dish maid, he would be no use in the planning of all this. “yes yes whatever, I cannot have a filthy pirate soil my family line, (y/n) needs a prince, one with land and claim to his throne. The council nodded along with her standing as the “meeting” was dismissed, Luis frowned to himself, he just couldn't condone this behavior…he needed to tell someone.

You sighed, leaning back in your desk chair, blowing your hair out of your eyes. Another stressful day of dealing with Isle affairs, from the food barges to the assholes on the council denying yet ANOTHER transfer request of another 4 VKs.

It had been a long battle but after your stories, along with the cour four and Ben backing you up and their own stories, the people of Auradon were rallying for the removal of the vks from the Isle.

Cinderella herself was voting for the removal of the vks, along with her step-sister Anastasia. Which lead to more people to come on your side, if someone who was raised by a villain was rallying for the vks how bad could they be?

If only your grandmother wasn’t such a bitch and convincing the other council members to keep denying the VK transfer plan. You rolled your neck and got back to business, finishing up another document on the medical barge that was being sent to the isle soon.

A few minutes later a knock sounded at your door, and you turned to look at it for a moment before going back to your work “it's open!”

Audrey stepped through a moment later, a bowl of fruit in her hands “snack break!” you sighed and looked at her, smiling.

“but-“ she tossed a grape at you, pouting.

“no buts, now eat the snackies” you laughed and held your hand out for the bowl, she gave it and a fork to you, spinning around and landing on your bed “sooooo, hows work?”

“pretty good” you shrugged, a mouthful of watermelon “just finishing on a medical document before working on the next barge for fabric”

Audrey hummed and nodded to herself, picking up the tossed leather jacket on your bed, thumbing over the stitched silver hook. “any progress on Harry?”

“no” you groaned, letting your head fall “the council STILL won't approve the plan” Audrey pursed her lips, sucking on her teeth.

“….im really glad I've grown away from grammie, I used to think she knew everything but….shes just-“

“close-minded and thinks about what's best for her and HER line instead of what's best for us and what WE want?” Audrey pointed at you and nodded.

“exactly, shes so demanding and-and god, I wish mom and dad had more of an opportunity to raise us, I never realized that I hardly had a relationship with mom until I actually tried to hang out with her instead of grammie”

You shook your head, it had been hard for Audrey and mom to get their “proper” relationship going, even months later their relationship was slightly strained.

Thankfully for you, you had….not trusted your grandmother since you were a kid and she had grimaced and called a same-sex couple walking down the street “rule-breaking f*gs”…yeah you decided she wasn’t a good role model and mentally disowned her.

When you had told Audrey about it, right around the times she separated herself from Grammie, she had a look of horror on her face, being apart of the LGBTQ community herself, she took it to heart.

To sum it up,  you and Audrey had basically disowned your grandmother and decided you deserved better than a homophobic, controlling bitch of a grandmother.

She still tried to control the two of you but 1) since you met Harry and decided that hey, your soulmates a pirate, let's just go crazy and 2) Audrey was done with her bullcrap.

Your dad had almost died from laughing as you both hid from your grandma one day while she visited. But managed to hide it from her as she asked about you, while your grandpa found you and snuck you some food

Your grandfather was always your favorite out of the two grandparents,  he never pressured you, never forced his beliefs on you, and just let you be yourselves….and also took you to get junk food.

Big difference from your grandmother, but anyway- back to the main plot.

You swallowed the last bit of fruit and placed it on your desk, going back to working on the medical document.

“shoot I gotta get going, Jane wanted to go get brunch at Tiana's place, see you later!” Audrey jumped up from the bed, ran over to give you a quick kiss on the cheek before she bolted from your room to find jane. “have fun” you muttered distracted, typing out your last paragraph, and hitting the save button, opening up the fabric document next.

Time for another three hours at your desk, just the life of the isle ambassador.

Harry grunted as he set a large barrel full of fish on the ships main deck, groaning as he stood and stretched out his aching muscles. He shook his head, feeling beads of sweat dripping from his scalp and down his forehead. “gods” he muttered “the one day I do work and its gotta be so hot” he slicked back his sweat-soaked hair and turned around, heading back to the barge to collect more food for the crew.

As he walked down the gangplank, his oh so precious little sister CJ came trotting towards him, a white envelope in her hand, waving it about in the air “oh Harry~ a letter from your girlfirend~” she called, skipping over to him and holding out the letter.

Harry tried to grab it but CJ twisted and pulled away the letter, sticking her tongue out playfully “you have to be quick-hey!” Harry picked CJ up and plucked the letter from her hand, dropping her back on her feet, snickering as she hit his shoulder.

“and yeh hav’ ta be quicker than tha’” Harry mocked, ripping open the envelope and taking out the letter, grunting as CJ jumped onto him and climbed to look over his shoulder “yeh rotten little monkey” he muttered, opening the letter and grinning slightly as (y/n)s neat handwriting appeared

-hi Harry~ just wanted to write a quick letter to you. The next barges are medical and fabric and should be at the isle within the week, I need Uma to write up any needs on the blank paper I put along with this letter and give it back to the courier that will be retrieving the returns in three days.

I miss you every day and even though we see each other in our dreams, I still wish I could see you.

LEON’S SEASON 2 THOUGHTS + SPOILERS BC WOW HOW CAN I NOT TALK ABOUT THIS??

I had this post in the works for days but finally getting to it. 

Might as well just add a ‘keep reading’ tab because who knows? Some fans might not have the story yet and I don’t want to ruin anything. 

Let’s not kid ourselves, I’ve been more than ready for this story and honestly, the first time reading it...it hit me like a bus. I couldn’t keep up because DRAMA plus Voltage finally gave it after eons of teasing.

Plus Leon’s my bias god so...

I swear I had to read this story twice just to comprehend it and like pinch myself in between slides that it’s real.

MOVING ON!

MY REACTIONS A MESS. It’s just as jumbled up as I typed it way back when. But I just am too lazy to change it. 

This story just shot of the gate. Voltage wasn’t pulling punches. They said it’d be “epic” and they were right. The drama chart just hit a peak with Leon’s main stories. 

Plus we’re barely into the second chapter when things go nsfw with the love making holy jesus i was like woahhh but im here for it

But I’m also here for those sweet love confessions. 

Leon’s always like “words aren’t enough to convey how the depth of my love for you” but sweet talk me away

ANYWAYS 

PLOT TIME

It’s crazy that Leon is the next candidate for being the King of the Heavens with this Heaven’s Rift thing. He doesn’t care for it. But hey ho guess what MC is in the way of the plan so basically it’s time to elope.

They hide (?? because it’s in MC’s apartment which is a secret known to everybody at this point) from the King and his new controlled cohorts. But I love the domestic fluff man. Aside from threat of death aside this was cute af. But come on!! Leon stealing meatballs was so adorable!!!! Plus being smug as fuck while doing it, man what a guy. It’s hard to be mad. 

I was reeeeeally hoping I’d see or read something about Leon being in a kimono but there was nothing. But I guess I can go to Hakuouki and find Leon’s VA voice a character in a kimono so I guess I can live. This blog shamelessly promotes Hakuouki btw. 

BUT we do meet up with MC’s mother. Which was short but nice. Leon not putting up his usually haughty airs and genuinely happy to know how loved MC is--though he does mentioning loving MC more which I’m like yesss 

NOW THIS BRINGS UP THAT IMAGE VOLTAGE TEASED OUT.

Of course when I saw MC with the knife during that first teaser CG, I knew she was being controlled. Fucking called that shit.

BUT I DIDN’T EXPECT HER TO GUT HERSELF.

I WAS MORTIFIED and also impressed because she had the willpower to do it. MC I’m sorry if I ever doubted you.

BUT 

THE MENTION OF LEON SCREAMING.

HOLY FUDGE. THAT GAVE ME CHILLS!

HE’S NEVER DONE THAT. EVER. 

AND HE KNOWS HE CAN’T DO ANYTHING TO HEAL HER. 

THE HILLS ARE ALIVE WITH THE SOUNDS OF MUSIC LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!

I LOVED THAT ANGST! 

NOT ONLY THAT, IN THE END TO SAVE HER LIFE, LEON GIVES MC ONE OF THE STARS IN HIS EYES TO LIVE AND SEPARATES HIMSELF FROM HER.

Side note: I love how he address how much he loves her before they part.

Because he admits her falling under the King’s control wasn’t because of her doubting her love for him, but rather: she was torn between her love for him and the those she loved on earth. Especially when she had nightmares of their lives were threatened. Her compassionate heart is a strength and he acknowledges it and I was so incredibly moved.

This story wouldn’t have ended so nicely had they all not found MC, who was stuck on earth after being separated from Leon and without any memory of him or the other gods.

I expected the Department of Wishes would want things to work out for Leon, of course being his Department, but the Department of Punishments guys stepping up? Wow, even Zyglavis, a man who is disgusted with Leon more than anyone, defended Leon and MC’s relationship.

Heaven was hell without Leon’s love for MC. 

They all knew it and there was no choice to reunite them because they were stronger together.

Wingmen. All of them. And they bring her up while she doesn’t even have a clue who they are or who Leon is. 

I’m a sucker for amnesia plots, guys. I just gotta confess it now. Finding out the King had taken Leon and MC’s memories of each other was great. And that part when they reunite in heaven and look at each other with no clue who the other is...that was my jam. GRAB ME MY TWO SLICES TWELVE GRAIN BREAD. LET ME MAKE A SANDWICH OF THIS. I’LL GOBBLE IT UP.  I’m simple ok? I live for this kind of drama. 

BUT WAIT: MC IS PREGNANT???

The gods berated MC for not “seeing the signs” but fuck you guys I didn’t expect that! Sure she felt unwell and had a minor episode of feeling sick, but I thought that was from fucking sticking herself in with a knife??? Obviously???

I was surprised the child survived!

A miracle indeed.

Which underlines what Leon and MC’s relationship is. As a god and human, truly, a relationship born of that.

Surprisingly I got the happy end which was honestly one of my favorite parts because everyone is getting a long. I love how each god is looking after MC and even more worried about her because she’s with a child.

OH BUT THIS BEAUTIFUL CG THOUGH:

ALSO shout out to MC! I loved that MC’s tenacity to work still showed in the Happy Ending!! Being pregnant won’t stop her! Ha, love it. 

So was this a good story?

Yes, I personally thought it was! The more I read it, the more I like it! 

The ending is very sweet. Almost a bit bitter for me because there’s so much changing. The prior King is dead. I’m going to miss his trickster ways. But hey fuck it: Leon and MC are married! And the gods are having a great time!

Hi, i read your post about Steerpike and Fuchsia and got curious about why you ship them. Did you read the books or just watched the BBC adaptation? Did your read the news that Neil Gaiman will make a tv show of the series?

YAY!!!!!! A Steerpike/Fuchsia question!

No, I never read the books, and that is probably were the curiosity comes from. I’ve many times been warned that Steerpike is very different in the books (More like a sociopath) and his feelings for Fuchsia are ambiguous. That’s why I say I only ship them in the miniseries until I read the books and make my own judgment of that.

OMG! THIS IS FRESH, GOOD NEWS! I’ve heard the rumors this might happen years ago and recently google it, but found nothing! It’s been official for two days! YEEEES!!!!

I just wish they leave it explicit Steerpike loves Fuchisa like they did in the miniseries, nothing else.

Why I ship Steerpike x Fuchsia…

In a nutshell:

They are like the prince and the princess of a twisted fairytale. The kitchen boy and the Lady; the false knight and the jaded princess. Separated by different worlds, yet brought together as outcasts who did not understood or accepted Gormenghast. So close, and so far. They stay for years like this, just fermenting their love with stolen glances and meetings. Never daring to touch, not needing. Two lonely souls reaching out for each other. Doomed from the start and self-destructive, they could not avoid the things that torn them apart. She could not accept a murderer and the man who drove her father mad. He could not have chosen another direction but higher, above his brutal origin and closer to her. There was no other way this could have ended, and no other way this could have began.

In a rambling:

Steerpike is the villain of the story, but I find him sympathetic. In a word of traditions and aristocrats wasting time with crazy habits because they had nothing better to do, he was a symbol of rebellion and the result of the oppression caused by their society. In interviews, Neve McIntosh says that is what draw Fuchsia to him. He is simultaneous a fighter (So much he resolves to murder) and a beaten puppy you want to protect.

Fair to say, I’m but a very sucker for slumdogs becoming megalomaniacs who deep down are broken and alone (bonus if they disregard everyone on their way except the one girl they love): Heathcliff, Petyr Baelish, Loki, Gatsby… Steerpike’s ruthless ascendance to power reflects a overcompensation of a life being abused by the cooker and treated as inferior, and the resolve never to be put in that position again.

Of course Fuchsia could not accept his dark side, but he could not be the knight in shinning armor she has always imagine just like she could not be the all-loving princess of a fairytale. Her temper is unpredictable and she acts spoiled many times. She is how a dreamy young girl would become if she ever get to know what being royalty truly meant - that is pointless rules, isolation and no magic like in the stories - just as Steerpike is also a deconstruction of the slumdog hero. They weren’t perfect, but they were all they had.

They came from different worlds and yet were the same. He is a kitchen boy and she is a princess. By convenience they shouldn’t be together, but convenience always seems to work against them. What unites them is they earn for something beyond it. They long for change. Steerpike chooses weapons (extreme ones, but the only ones that could reach a extremely inflexible society) to try to make them, while Fuchsia tries to bare it by keep on dreaming. One might see it as weakness, but it actually takes her a lot of endurance. They help each other to keep on believing in something greater than those ancient walls through the years. They kept each other company against the emotional negligence they had endured. 

Steerpike sees Fuchsia at the balcony of her attic and it’s immediately drawn to her. The first contact he has with her is very intimate; she doesn’t notice he is watching her from above. Then he enters her private place where she keeps the toys and stories she loves.That is where he seeks refuge for the night, and that is where she meets him for the first time: in her private world of fantasy. He lived in the kitchens most of his life, where girls are made ugly by work and stress, if there are girls at all. Fuchsia is different from everything he had ever seen. She has a sort of naivety he had lost from early age. No one that untouched by cynicism and conformity from where he comes. They play together and I think Steerpike likes to be part of the dreams he can not make since his innocence was taken from him, and recognizes in them the same need for something greater than Gormenghast.

RECOMMENDATIONS AND REVIEWS

Notes: So this is my second lot of story’s I have chosen to recommend to you guys, I’m hoping your finding this useful and have enjoyed the first ones, I’m going to do a one shot fic recommendations list as well, because I’m a sucker for one shot and there are loads out there that have touched my heart so much, and what these writers can make you feel with a short story still blows me away. Ok I have done 7 this time because I am going to post one separate you will see why when I do, enjoy.

1. The first one is called HEARTLINES by @buckyskorpion, This is a Bucky/reader fic and is 10 part long. It is based on the reader moving into the compound, trying to finish her PHD. But there is a secret she is keeping, that only pepper knows. Tony has adopted her as his niece and we journey with her while she falls in love with one metal armed soldier, to having her secret exposed. This is a beautifully written, and I really enjoyed reading a different side to tony in this one is was refreshing, Bucky is lovely in this story sweet and shy, my favourite type of Bucky I highly recommend this one.

2. The next is called WINTER SHADOW by @marvel-lucy, This story is very emotional and will keep you on the edge of your seat through out the whole thing. It is based on the winter soldier film just with a twist, in which we read about another character being added to the fic and going through what Bucky went through with him, I don’t want to say to much as it will ruin it, so I really recommend you read this fic, the ending was by far one of my favourite endings to have read.

3. This one is called HEARTBEATS by @after-avenging-hours, This story 9 parts plus 3 bonus parts, it is a soulmate fic where the hearts of two people are joined at birth, we join the reader on her journey to find her soulmate but not without a lot of complications along the way, this fic is beautifully written, and will have you guessing at every turn, it is a true work of art, and one of my favourite soul mate fics.

4. The next is called IM A SURVIVOR by @beccaanne814-blog This fic has 10 parts and is based on the readers journey to overcome her trauma from her past, along the way she finds love and old wounds are reopened. I really connected with this fic it is powerfully written and has you feeling so many emotions along the way I highly recommend it.

5. This one is called IN AN INSTANT by @marvel-ash, It is based on what happens when a stranger falls through your window, I don’t want to say anymore cause it will give it away. Its nail biting and very funny. The story itself is very creative, and I was shouting at my phone while reading it throughout, I highly recommend this one.

6. The next one is called MEND by @invisibleanonymousmonsters, It is 7 parts long with an epilogue. This fic is fantastic, it had me glued from the first line, it is one of those fics that a lot of people can relate to. Based after the civil war and Bucky coming to join Steve where he meets the reader and the fun and games start. The charters in this story are so well written you can relate to them and it just feels real. This would serve as a great film for after civil war and before infinity war, I cant recommend enough that you should read this

7. The last one is called COMING HOME, written by @sebseyesandbuckysthighs Its 5 parts long, but non stop action all the way through, it is based on the reader and Bucky being together and she get s kidnapped and we journey with Bucky to get her back. I absolutely love the way Bucky is written in this story, I am a sucker for s protective Bucky, but he is just written so well in this, I also enjoyed reading about Steve and him having a dark side stepping away from captain America, I have read this fic lots of times and highly recommend reading it.

Jikook Fic Recs #2!

Since I just started uni and things will get even busier as the days pass by I thought why not make another jikook fanfic recs so here you go! Also thank you guys for 3k+ followers (super late “thank you” gift) ❤️

Fic recs part 1! 

Alright let’s do this! In no particular order:

E[Love] by busanmelodies (One-shot)

“Calculate the expectation of love.

alternatively, 16k+ of self-indulgent romantic crack, unnecessary dialogue and really bad math humour as reluctant math major Jungkook sets out on his quest for love.”

AHHHH this was incredibly cute and funny, I never knew I could like a math!au so much? I think most people would think “but math is boring”, but hear me out, this fic is so interesting it hooked me in and I really enjoyed it, I couldn’t even put my phone down one minute haha. The math jokes are great and I thought that little math idea (E[love]) towards the end was amazing! I think the author was really creative and I like how they implemented all of bangtan on this au as well, I thought it was pretty cool! This fic is super long with some suggestive themes (*wink* *wink*) and definitely worth reading, so check it out if you can!!

Red by dalliance (One-shot)

“Jimin thinks his luck has hit absolute rock bottom when he’s made to stay with a total stranger in a lodge due to a mix up for three months.”

I think I’m a sucker for painter!Jungkook/Jimin and this was a really good fic. It showed a lot of Jimin’s character development since he basically doesn’t want anything to do with Jungkook at first, so thanks Jungkook for being so persistent (yay!). Jungkook is an actual angel and Jimin is able to address his problems in this fic, plus there’s these really cute scenes too! Paintings and colors and other art related things are involved (obviously) so it’s nice to see Jungkook’s perpective on it as well as Jimin’s. The ending made me want more of this fic though tbh xd.

No Strings Attached by graesun (Completed) (M)

“Jungkook likes his job, but sometimes he wishes he had someone to do it for him.”

Okay so this is a fic with camboy!Jungkook and I never knew I had a thing for camboy AUs until I read this fic ugh it’s so good; also thank you Taehyung, but what the fuck Taehyung xd. I think it’s kinda funny how Jungkook and Jimin come together (no pun intended?). Jimin is really nice, I think the author did a good job trying to not make Jimin appear as a creep haha, you can tell Jimin really cares about Jungkook. This fic is also fluffy at times yet, it still has some angst in it The fact that you just see them moping around not doing anything is so frustrating like just cuddle each other or something pleasE. It has a happy ending though so that’s good and I’m still waiting on that bonus chapter hehe.

You’re ripped at every edge (but you’re a masterpiece) by kafeuka (Completed?) (M)

“Jimin swore there was nothing worst than having Jeon Jungkook as a sergeant.

(Or,

In which Jimin was forced to enlist in military and he was under the sexgod Sergeant Jeon’s monitoring division and god, Sergeant Jeon really needs to stop being a douchebag)”

This fic ripped me into pieces and still as my heart dammit. I didn’t know whether to put it as complete or not because technically it is complete, but it has a sequel on the works (you can check it out here) so it’s not really complete xd. Anyways I thought this fic was a pretty cool AU and we get to know a bit about Jungkook and Jimin’s background which makes us understand why they act that way on certain occassions. I think the interactions between them are interesting too because they should hate each other and they kinda do, but also kinda don’t? They (mainly Jungkook) seem really confused about their feelings (someone help this poor boy). There’s smut tho so you’ve been warned! Ah the ending felt really sad, I kept wanting more! I hope the sequel gets updated soon haha.

After Hours by pinkmonnie (Completed) (has some Taegi in it and a little Namseok)

“Jimin has been working at the same place for three years, watching as the world around him moves along in a busy hype. Although he enjoys certain aspects of his job, particularly since Min Yoongi became his manager, over time he gradually felt the usual rhythm begin to weigh him down.

Taehyung, his closest friend, comes to Gwanghwamun Starbucks for two reasons - free drinks or food if he’s feeling peckish, and to stare at Yoongi with a lump in his throat.

One night, Taehyung brings along a new friend.”

Seventeen chapters may sound a little bit intimidating, but I think it’s a really cute fic and straightforward!Jungkook is great tbh. Most of the plot revolves around the café Jimin works at so it gives it a homey feeling where most of Bangtan can hangout and be comfortable with one another. Jungkook also knows how to draw which is a plus in my book, and his relationship with Jimin is incredibly adorable with Jungkook also being kind of shy at times? You can clearly tell this guy is whipped and that Jimin is grateful for him. The fact that there’s no smut makes me think that the relationship is pure and really fluffy xd. Since I use the “Show entire work” option on AO3 I didn’t even feel how long the entire fic was so that’s good I think xd.

Constraint by Harlot (One-shot) (M)

“Jungkook is young and he is more acquainted with confusion and poor-decision-making than he’d like to admit. Despite being only 19 years old, he sometimes argues that he’s been through and seen some shit. He is never sure where he’s going to end up and he’s not entirely sure what kind of future is waiting for him. He is often not sure of a lot but he is certain—absolutely certain—that he’s not gay. Alternatively, a story in which Jungkook meets Park Jimin and doesn’t like him whatsoever. There’s just something about him… there’s just so much about him. Jungkook really can’t stand him. In fact, he can’t stand him so much he can’t quite seem to get him off of his mind.”

ThIS SINFUL MASTERPIECE OMG y’all probably already read it, but it’s so good I had to put it in here. You can see Jungkook tries so hard to get Jimin out of his head, but he can’t (I feel you kookie) and he is an asshole about it. Jimin makes me want to wrap him with a blanket and snuggle him, but also he’s really sexy at times(which is real life Jimin actually). I like that you can see them become close friends too! Which makes the teasing much more enjoyable xd. It’s also really great to see Jungkook come to terms with his sexuality later on in the fic,  and ofc, as if it wasn’t clear enough, there’s SMUT guys (and very good written smut imo) so don’t say I didn’t tell you xd.

Extra!

This isn’t really that jikook-y (?). I think it’s centered more on bangtan’s friendship with maybe some hints of pairings, and it’s angsty af so I’m into it xd

Little boy, Fat Man,? by monsterplaza (aesthesiae) (One-shot)

“Yesterday, the biggest worry on Park Jimin’s mind was how he’d get Jeon Jeongguk back for scribbling on his phone case. Then, a nuclear strike ravages the heart of South Korea, and it’s a battle for survival.”

So basically it’s an apocalypse AU (Nuclear warfare) in South Korea and BTS does exist, but they get separated since they have to look for their families to check if they’re okay, so the story mainly follows Yoongi, Taehyung, Jimin and Jungkook in they journey of not dying and finding help xd. THERE’S CHARACTER DEATHS THO SO YOUVE BEEN WARNED. I cried so much guys, like, how can they be so unlucky lmao; but yeah I had to include it because I really like character death for some reason. This fic was pretty interesting because of the plot and it just leaves you thinking about the world afterwards like wtf (Hopefully this scenario will never happen ofc). Anywayss, if you’re into that stuff you could check it out!
