Royal Pair

Audrey and Ariana, my two best girls 💕

A bit of background; Ariana’s parents (Lady Rhea and Lord Jedrick) are somehow more neglectful towards their eldest than Aurora and Phillip are. They never wanted a daughter, something Ari knows well, and they favor her little brother Adonis who usurped her chance at gaining a more official ruling title in Auroria. Safe to say she’s a bit of a wild child, lashing out and being cruel towards others due to lack of parental guidance growing up and a need to be seen.

Ariana and Audrey weren’t close until later—they were intense rivals in their youth—but their relationship changed to something more maternal after the events of D3. Auds (and Chad, technically, since they’re married) are standing in as Ari’s guardians while she attends Auradon Prep for her Sophomore year. Audrey, still just barely an adult herself, feels responsible for her cousin’s wellbeing despite how…hard to handle…she can be at times.

(I know in the books Ariana and Audrey are technically the same age, but that doesn’t make any sense in the context of the films/this HC so Ariana is about three-ish years younger than Audrey.)

Harry likes loves that one day/night every one or two months where Uma takes out her braids and he gets to see her natural hair, which reaches just past her shoulders and always looks so soft and bouncy, he never touches her hair without her permission, but she always has her hands running through his hair. its just a simple couple hours of being able to just-deflate. when she finally finishes Harry traps her comb arm between his chin and her leg and fully wraps his arms around her legs, forcing her to pay attention to him; she never minds giving it.

did i mention Harry is a cat before? yes? well im saying it again. fucking dweeb(s) in love.

and Gil the monster hunter-oh shit wait thats a werewolf. 

some lore! Harry wasn’t born a vampire, that shit ain’t genetic. he was born of the ex-navy captain James Hook, and then was extremely neglected, he was on the brink of death at only six months old when Dracula swooped in and killed/ate James. taking pity on the baby, he nursed Harry back to health and then turned him when he was old enough/started revealing some health faults (extreme asthma, really really high metabolism (to a point where he never has any energy because his body consumes so much of it) and anemia) his turn wasn’t out of ‘oh he’s weak’ it was to give Harry a better chance at living a full life without being capsized by his heath. Harry doesn’t remember his real father, nor does he care. (Harriet and CJ are there, they are all half siblings, same dad different moms, CJ n Harry are 15 months apart) all three were adopted by Dracula (Harriet at the same time as Harry, CJ after the mom came searching for her baby daddy only to learn he was killed by the infamous Dracula) 

Gil, son of famous monster hunter Gaston. he also wasnt born a werewolf. Gaston, a viscous man who hunted monsters only for money and fame; he was cursed with all his offspring to become monsters, the exact type he hunted for glory. werewolves. but instead of turning around and coming to care for monster’s, which was the intended effect, Gaston uses his sons impeccable hunting and tracking abilities to hunt down more monsters. Gil is the ‘best’ of the three, though no one realizes that. under the full moon his brothers turn to horrific wolf-human beasts that kill on sight. Gil, however, has full control of his werewolf side, turning to a large, fluffy, and dangerous wolf instead. he keeps near his chosen pack on full moons, just in case he loses control. but he has yet to. 

Uma is a descendant of a long line of powerful sea witches, who are thought to be connected to gods of the sea. her skin has a slight scale texture/reflection at the corner of her eyes/tops of her hands/her hips/tops of shoulders. her eyes are just slightly pointed as well, and she has the ability to breathe underwater with no problem, along with being able to communicate with aquatic animals. 

i dont know how these guys became friends, other than maybe Dracula got some stuff from Uma’s fam one time and babe Harry just-latched onto Uma, he’s her’s now, try and stop him. Dracula didn’t, he’s just happy someone is there to unVelcro his son from him. “good luck, he’s your problem now. no caffeine he has an iron deficiency. have him back by 6pm thats when dinner is.” Gil was maybe one time sent to hunt down a family of vampire’s, saw them (Harry and Uma) and was like “nah, mine now” and lied to his dad about them getting away (that lost him some light in his dads eyes but boi don’t care, he has his pack now)

Ursula’s still kinda a shit mom but Uma has lots of aunties n uncles to keep her happy, her moms less of a mom and more of a teacher. Harrys bio dad very much sucked, his dad on the other hand, rocks. man always makes sure Harry is taken care of, and took his sisters in without a second thought. Dracula is a good adoptive dad 2k22

i love when the vks and Ben get into the cottage, and they hear Chad banging on the door, Harry follows Ben to the closest door, he positions himself behind Ben to defend Ben if necessary.

its the little things (aka D3 Harry mini analysis)

like here, when Ben goes to look inside the closet, you can see Harry sliding into place, Harry does this before anyone else

Jay doesnt move, Carlos doesnt move, Mal doesnt even try to tell Ben not to open it, but Harry HARRY, Mr i wanna hook the king, is the first to step up and be at Ben’s back, to protect him.

and then when both Ben and Harry see its chad, someone who isnt a threat (supposedly) Harry relaxes, he straightens up from his attack stance, Ben has acknowledged Chad isnt a threat (with how Ben’s body relaxes and how calmly he responds to chad) and so Harry relaxes

so Harry goes from protect/attack mode to passive protect. he stays at Ben’s back, keeping his eyes on chad just in case, he stands there in a way that tells me “make one wrong move and i will hurt you”

like LOOK AT HOW BIG HARRY LOOKS COMPARED TO CHAD AND BEN, i know its forced perspective, but Harry looks fucking massive, he is a guard, a right hand man, a protector. his head is tilted down to give that menacing stare, his arms are ready to grab or hit, his legs are ready to launch himself to protect. at this point, for all we know, Harry is still meh about Ben, but he knows Ben is going to let them stay, he has to, they are helping save Auradon. and he knows Uma now sees Ben as an allay, so Harry protects him, he protects everyone.

Harry doesn’t lose this protective stance until Chad rushes out of the house and Ben walks past, Harry fully relaxes, he laughs, he turns his eyes away, and he closes the door. 

but Harry is the last one out of the house, he stays back, he is still the protector, he keeps his eyes on everyone to make sure everyone is safe, he looks behind to check the cottage again, to check on carlos, he looks at everyone, he keeps his eyes on Uma the longest, Harry is a protector and i love that about him. (also he does a lil flip with his hook that ive somehow never noticed and omfg you cutie pie i love you)

god Thomas does such a damn good job all this from simple body acting.

Harry takes to it like a newly born sea turtle guiding himself to water, he’s always loved fashion just never had the opportunity to flaunt it. can he sew? fuck no, but damn can he put together an outfit. 

this spawned from seeing an outfit on Pinterest that i really liked and wanted to put on Harry, then i thought ‘oooh Eddie Harry’ and then crop top sweater thing Harry….ye, have fun with my brain
