It’s now Ripper’s turn to think. “Uh… Like… I don’t know, someone who… Uh… Makes girls… swoon?” Then he facepalms. “No, shit, girls can make girls swoon, too, idiot, MK’s got Julia all over her and she’s not a dude. Get it together!” he tells himself. “Shit, man, you know what, I don’t know. Let’s just go.”

(okay so I have not finished s1 but I know the general gist of what happens through mutuals posts and just the td tag lmaoo. maybe later I will actually sit down and watch the whole thing, but that time is not now.)

moving onto my thoughts of s2...

AHHHHHHHH idk how else to explain it but I absolutely LOVED the episode, and honestly I have a feeling I'll love this season, simply bc everyone is so great!!

heck even ripper and chase were tolerable, like, there weren't any fart jokes or anything, it was great!

MKULIA SWEEP???? HELL FREAKING YEAH idc if it's a friendship/alliance, I'm living in my world where they're toxic yuri

Caleb getting some much-needed character development??? I'm SO here for it, and the stuff mentioned during the episode def fits the kinda vibe I have going for him, so that's even better!! (potential caleb & emma friendship??? they can bond over kittens and of caleb being emotionally mature)

also his reactions to the team choosing was gold, I can't wait to see what A-Game he's gonna bring. I'm hoping he doesn't become a version of justin--I just want him to want to be a useful teammate and person for his team/friends/competitors and want to win as well. no overly crazy 'tda justin' villanry pls?? (I mean, I won't be averse to it if it does end up happening, but it'd be cool if things changed up this time around)

I sure as heck don't know but I can't wait to find out!! her parting words def seem ominous enough to imply something

on a different note, I wonder what will come of bowie and emma's friendship from s1 and how that broke apart. maybe they could rekindle it in s2? hmmm

Do you plan on implementing any other ships into your rewrite? I figured rajbow would stay, and you mentioned hinting at ripaxel. Do you also plan on keeping rajbow's 'wait til after the season' date thing or will you sprinkle in some scenes with the two like season 2?

Minor spoilers for season 2 below.

As far as other ships go, I don't think so? I won't be putting any MKulia stuff into the first season; they didn't really seem to like each other until after they saw what the other could do through the show (between seasons 1 and 2). The Caleb x Priya pairing wouldn't be foreshadowed because of Caleb's early elimination and Priya's focus on winning the game (so that she can show her parents she's ready for med school).

Yes, I will be keeping the "wait 'til after the season" part for Rajbow. I don't consider Total Drama (as a show) to be a good dating environment. Plus, both of them are shown to be competitive, so to have a distraction like a serious romantic relationship could get them eliminated more quickly. Also, I think it was mostly implied that Raj and Bowie's little moments were kept secret from most of the cast, minus Wayne and Emma since they were both friends with the involved parties (maybe I'm making that up in my head, I don't know). If they got together publicly, then the other campers would see them as an alliance (as most seasons of Total Drama tend to point out) and could still get them more quickly eliminated. So, waiting until after the season to have an actual date seems like the best option in my mind.

I might sprinkle in another moment or two between Rajbow before Raj's inevitable elimination, though, just because I think that their developing relationship was kind of ignored for the majority of challenges. Although, I'll have to rewatch Total Drama Island (2007) again to see how they handled the romantic relationships during the challenges there.

i feel bad for priya bcs every time i draw her shes in distress lmao

(chose alenoah bcs its kinda my brand now n also bcs i find priya going crazy abt all combinations of mks parents objectively hilarious)

also since this takes place in a non td setting i might have just implied priya either hangs out w these two evil lesbians or they're neighbors....
