is there a reason you don't like techza? or is it just taste thing?/genq
yeah but going into detail would imply discourse posting after waking up which is not ideal y'know
Beyond my more serious gripes w it I just find it to be extremely unappealing , like if we get past the whole "you're shipping a guy who didn't want to be shipped and Is now dead so lots of people take that as a free pass to butcher his character in service of ships" it's a ship where they don't even look hot together <- bare minimum requirement for a ship imo, a ship Can make 0 sense and still go hard if they look hot together, which these 2 do nawt

Phil, post freeing Techno from prison: Please, don't knowingly walk into a trap like that again, you really worried me and stress is bad for the baby.
Techno: What baby?
Phil: ........
Techno: Phil, you're supposed to say "I'm the baby". That's the joke, isn't it? That you're a baby and stress is bad for you?
Phil: ...............................
Techno: PHIL, WHAT BABY?!
Phil: .........Surprise?

Me: I need to write something to keep track.
Also me: How about an AU where Techno and Philza are ballet dancers falling into a tragic romance?
Make yourself comfortable.
It is a more irl context, none of them are really a hybrid but they have characteristics that they have always had. In my AU Techno has his lovely reddish eyes and pink hair. Who wants to change it, fuck you. It is supposed to be inspired by their C! for obvious reasons.
The Dream SMP is an entire community, a city with large buildings, theaters, public spaces, and of course, ballet dancers who are now trying to plan a new ballet. The opera house that presents it knows that this is a novel idea for new and old city dwellers to take an interest in the classical arts.
"The Lady of the Camellias" a tragic romance ballet (seriously, I haven't seen many ballets but my sister has, they literally all end badly). It has a pretty woman, a story that will leave many people crying, and of course a good source of income with their newly appointed Danseur Étoile, Technoblade. His first honorary ballet.
The problem consists of Violeta, the protagonist. On stage, they are looking for a woman who is older than the Danseur for reasons of history, but all of their primas ballerinas and upcoming ballerinas deserving of the title are younger than Techno and the charm of the piece is lost.
They think about it a lot, Niki, the biggest prima ballerina in the house is the first option but finally they make a drastic decision. There have already been several ballet where both protagonists are men regardless of whether they represent Sleeping Beauty or Romeo and Juliet, what would be the problem if Violeta were a boy?
This is where Philza comes in, another of the dancers in the cast, he's older than Techno, he's pretty despite the figure he maintains due to his dancing experience, it is almost perfect.
-
Techno and Phil have never really spoken inside the house, Techno is relatively new, he was transferred from Hypixel possibly a year and a half ago and from everyone in the house gossip he is known to be reserved, surly, proud and overly self-centered. He stands on a high pedestal and ignores conversations.
¿Fuente? De los deseos*, no one has dealt with Techno and it is a rumor that only spread because Techno did not intend to disprove it either.
*In spanish fuente means source and fountain, is joke. When you dont have a reliable source you say "Fuente de los deseos" that means "Fountain of wishes". in english doesn't work the joke, lmao.
Eventually they have to work together, they have some solos and they are not going to do it on their own, Phil takes advantage of the moments of rest to start destroying every protection that Techno has had around him, he is warm, comfortable and quite fun, but shy about nature and there are times when you don't know what to answer.
Yup, Philza ends up flipping Techno, god, that man is lovely, don't you think? Techno yes.
There is much in between, Phil is attracted to the mysteries that Techno seems to have, he is a closed box and he is looking for the key, he needs it.
As for the dance well... what worried Phil most was really his weight, it is well known that a dancer is lighter because there are steps where they can be carried and he especially was not thin, he had a good amount of muscles (Even so, Techno thinks it is quite light "Am I too strong or are you too light?" He has wondered at times).
In an approach to the life of Philza we realize that he has two creatures, Tommy and Tubbo. Tommy, his biological son, his mom Kristin died when he was very young but he knows she loved him, on the other hand there is Tubbo, one day Tommy met the chestnut and they became inseparable, Philza decided to adopt him when he found out he was an orphan (he lived in a cardboard box in a dark alley, Phil's heart is too sensitive to tolerate that).
He is also friends with the pleasant Wilbur, the conductor of the orchestra who usually accompanies the works of the house, not only the ballets, some operas and folk dances. He is aware of the relationship between Techno and Philza and how the situation is escalating (if Wilbur decided to self-adopt and behave like a proud older brother is not his problem, Tommy is too insistent).
Despite that, Philza has never given his address to anyone, preferring to keep his two creatures in the comfort of anonymity and until now Wilbur has respected not knowing where he lives.
-
People insist that Techno is unreachable, but Philza doesn't believe them -until he does. A practice like others enters a blond man, frowning at seeing Techno and Philza so close (not his fault, the choreography is contact, idiot). There he finds out that Techno is married. And he is married to that man.
His name is Dream, green eyes, tall, handsome, and apparently a choreographer. They met at their old ballet house in Hypixel and have apparently been married for some years now. If Techno is around 21 years old, at what age did they do it? God, now he felt stupid to start falling in love with a boy who is 11 years his junior and apart from everything else is married.
He doesn't walk away from Techno, but he does decide to try and keep his feelings at bay. He's literally off limits and from the way Dream looks at him while they dance it's clear that he doesn't like him at all, not just the contact of the dance, possibly him as a person.
And he checks it after Dream enters the project fully, takes the choreography in his hands and manipulates the dancers to his liking, among that, he loves to boss Philza, tell him what to do, how to do it, scold him for minor things. That, instead of discouraging Phil from denying the role, prompts him to practice too much. If Philza is exceptional, then Dream's reviews will be hollow and he will be able to keep a smile on his face, he is absolutely capable of what he sets out to do.
He falls into bad habits, Wilbur argues with him constantly because even though he takes care of his young, he neglects himself with shitty schedules and little food, that butt will not remain exquisite if he does not eat well. He confronts him at the house finally, he knows that Dream is pressing him and he is on the street of bitterness. Philza is indifferent "I will not give you the satisfaction of seeing me down".
It was the only thing, Wil doesn't question the methods and just keeps talking but to his bad fortune Techno was close. He decides to finally face Dream, he is unfair, he is evil even and he doesn't have the right. "I'm not going to let fleeting romance ruin our deal Technoblade, not until it's over and I get my share, am I going to force you if necessary". Dream cuts off the conversation, but Techno isn't done.
Unfortunately Dream doesn't stop, but he knows that his arguments are unfounded, he has seen Phil ignoring him knowing that he is doing the right thing.
This is more of an intermission (filler chapter) where Philza realizes that things are starting to disappear from his house, food, bread, the odd spoon or plate. And the cause of all that is a child. A boy with black and white hair, nothing more normal than that by the way. Tall, thin, and scrawny, you can tell they really have experience stealing things but not telling lies, because when Phil questions him the kid doesn't even try to make a credible excuse.
He doesn’t scold him but not knowing if he is good or bad, he keeps him in his house (now it is something like a portable orphanage) he finds out that his name is Ranboo and although Tommy is reluctant to take care of him Tubbo loves him. Phil is forced to adopt and raise a third puppy. Wilbur meets his new brother (seriously when is he going to stop adopting children?). I just needed to include it in the story, it is something relevant later on.
They decide to practice alone, they believe that there are things that they need to polish in order to complete the dance but eventually the obvious attraction they have comes out. They kiss in the middle, even with Phil's conscience repeating that Techno is married and off limits, he had to break up at some point. Despite finishing the kiss they don't distance themselves, Techno holds Phil's waist tight and Phil squeezes his shoulders to stay close.
They only part after a clear throat, it's Dream, looking at them with a frown. Phil wants to disappear.
He leaves, he doesn't let them scold him for what he knows he has done and finally Techno and Dream return to the point of the conversation. The reputation of both will be affected if someone discovers that Techno has a lover, everything they have worked for and they have been trying to get for years will go down the drain. Finally Dream wishes out loud that Philza has an accident that prevents him from dancing the leading role.
And it happens (here's angst for sure! It's not a tragic relationship for nothing!). Philza is in a minor car accident, there are no fractures but serious injuries, and some of them need healing or could lead to a fracture. He cannot dance without pain or damage.
That ends up breaking him, hours and hours giving his all, neglecting himself and being scolded by his self-adopted son so that in the end he cannot appear on stage.
To the bewilderment of all and the benefit of Dream, it doesn't decide to delay the presentation, it intends to premiere it on the day already agreed, the tickets were sold, they would lose thousands of coins if they decide to cut it to the limit, it is a new presentation that everyone is waiting for.
That means speeding up Phil's recovery or replacing him, and the former is not a viable option.
Niki takes the stage as Violeta, despite the negatives previously put on paper.
And luckily, regret or penetrate even more into Phil's ego, Dream decides to put him with a really invisible role in the presentation, a scene with extras where he doesn't make much movement in the dance (or that is known will not hurt him too much), despite everything he accepts, maybe, only maybe he can do it.
When the theater is finally full and the artists come on stage is when all emotions intersect, on the one hand Wil in the orchestra, knowing Phil's new position, his children in the audience out of obligation or waiting for his father and Techno in the second leading role.
It is almost imperceptible but when Techno looks away he sees that Philza is crying, it is longing and a lot of pain, he wants to hug him until he disappears but he cannot just stop suddenly or he will spoil everything. In the intervals of the Techno ballet, he doesn't see Philza again, neither the first, nor the last even at the end of the ballet, Philza is nowhere but coincidentally there is a child in the locker room.
He recognized that boy, quiet and shy the first time he broke into his house because he was cold and Techno had several red layers that apparently he didn't have, he never told him his name but he was never disrespectful or rude, he was quite warm until one day it just didn't come back and he didn't have time to search deeply for it as he intended to.
Techno tries to talk to him, but a hasty Wilbur gets in the way.
"Damn Ranboo, we've been looking for you forever, we have to go, let's go" Ranboo walks away, neither of them take their eyes off when Wilbur pulls him but at least Techno knows or pretends to know where the -apparently- named "Ranboo" (Technodad for hungry fans).
Phil gets depressed at home, it is not very big but not small either, the only room that really doesn't let the children touch or play in it is a special room for him, with thousands of crystals on the walls that could hurt them, the children they understand the danger even if they don't like it.
With the days off due to injuries, Phil stays at home trying to re-practice the role of Violeta, he is sure he can do it, injured or not, he can always do it. But forcing his body doesn't help heal the injuries or his emotional stability as an artist, the children resent it, they know that there is something very wrong with Phil when sometimes he forgets about them, Tommy, the most gossipy, opens the door of the Phil's forbidden room and only finds him crying on the floor, again.
With his brothers they try to comfort him but Tommy steals Phil's cell phone to call Wilbur.
At that point, Techno and Wilbur are already friends, two people close to Phil who haven’t heard from him in a few days after the premiere of the ballet, of course they talked with each other, exchanged common topics of conversation and with respect to Phil. So when Wil's phone rings and it's a call from Phil he picks up without seeing.
And he is even more alarmed when he hears the altered voice of his younger brother, Tommy is crying and in the middle of his babbling he mentions Philza. Wil asks for his home address, at last, and they both head towards the building.
Tommy opens the door, WIlbur hugs him but Techno enters his side, they ask for instructions and although Tommy is still unable to speak, he takes them to the forbidden room (of course WIlbur closed the door, he's not that stupid, they are three young children and three irresponsible adults).
There should be a lot of angst, Phil's feeling of worthlessness for example, thinking that he can't do it again with Techno and Wil denying his claims deep down.
To prevent Phil from doing stupid things, Techno and Wil take turns at home taking care of him and his young (Technodad in action, of course). At that time Techno confesses that he is in love with him, and the reason why he is married to Dream, outside of the friendship relationship they had, is more a benefit contract.
More than anything it is about Dream, their parents cleverly made a plan to avoid giving them an inheritance that they were supposed to be entitled to, and for this they had to agree to an arranged commitment that they were sure they could not fulfill, a stupid tragic movie reason of course, it doesn't have a great joke. Dream and Techno got married when they were old enough to get rid of that network as soon as possible.
The reputation of Dream and Techno is more wrapped up in their names in terms of classical dance (and contemporary, of course), and although they still have to remain another four years to fulfill the conditional, Techno obviously intends to divorce as soon as possible.
There is a deeper conversation, Techno wouldn’t mind losing everything if in the end he can have Philza with him, but it is also a mutual reception between Dream and him and possibly it will make his life impossible if he doesn't fulfill at least this whim. Fortunately for Techno and well known to everyone, Phil agrees. He can wait four years of course, in a blink of an eye he will have it just for himself, he can share his cake.
Many things happen, of course Techno and Phil are intimate, in the shadows they are boyfriends, for the press they are best friends.
The four years pass, Techno divorces although Dream tries to convince him otherwise. It doesn't work, obviously, now he can kiss Phil and pamper him in public like he wanted to do so many times.
The end
Btw, if you want to see a ballet I recommend 100% Wonderland, seriously. I'm not into watching ballet, my sister does, but that particular ballet is beautiful. It has boring scenes like the flowers and the doors and rooms in perspective. But the red queen, the hatter and Absolem are worth gold.
There are some scenes on YT if you want to look it up.

updating half the orphan's path fics with the tag "The Inherent Weirdchamp Of Living Before The Word "Queerplatonic" Exists As Common Knowledge", because apparently in-universe people mischaracterizing techno and philza's relationship in a pre-QPP vocab time period means i secretly ship them!
GOOD TO KNOW
i get that weirdchamp techza fic has been a problem with emerald duo but THE NARRATIVE ITSELF has never implied or alleged that they're romantic! where the fuck is the romantic tension between orp techno and phil??? literally all the married comments come from Other People and it's shown to make them confused/uncomfortable when they hear it!
orp!philza did not go through an entire arc of working past his fear that his platonic feelings for techno are creepy and wrong for the audience to say i secretly ship them
mm yes, i, a known cassgender asexual CC, would secretly romanticize and sexualize a relationship in explicit violation of CC boundaries
next episode, the orp authors are secretly ableism/abuse apologists because ableism and abuse exists in orphan's path! what fun atrocities will we commit next on the ay oh three dot com?

I love how you tag almost everything you write that has techno and phil as techza, even though sometimes it's not even implied
I'm spreading romantic without obvious signs propaganda UwU
So many fics and writers get away with writing techza declaring their love for each other and call it platonic. I can write everyday techza who quietly love each other. Oh this prompt is about the Syndicate? It's never stated, but Techno and Phil are in love. Half the pairing isn't important to the plot? They think about the love of their life before falling asleep. Techno and Phil are following canon almost exactly? They've been stuck in pining 'thinks-it's-unrequited' hell for months now. Not everything has to be kissing and "I love you"s to be romantic love (even though that is a plus). I want more people to see that.

wait anon what do you mean passerine starts out with techza and ends with techbur. this is more reason for me not to read it
(no offense to the author but angst isn’t really my thing)
It’s not really implied or anything, just something you gotta look for yourself. Don’t read it just for that, you’ll be disappointed

One of my fav scenarios is a Techza hybrid AU where they both are captured, whether it be by hunters or scientists, and when it is noticed that they are bonded together (matching earrings is a sign in piglin culture of a life partner), they are forced to fuck 🫣 they could be drugged, bound together by chains/ropes, or just stuck in a small area until they do the deed
Brooooo, 'forced to fuck' is such an underrated trope, and I love it especially when drugs are in the mix (drug-induced heat/rut, or just regular ol' aphros).
And the potential is great depending on what dynamic you give the relationship before the forced fucking takes place!
Established Techza where they're actually already together can be fun, since it could focus on the shame of others observing such an intimate act rather than the fact they're having sex in itself, or maybe they're usually pretty vanilla and this opens the door for some of their hidden kinks to be discovered. Also, potential angst if one (or both) feel like they've coerced their partner into having sex against their consent.
Maybe (mutually) pining Techza where the forced fucking kickstarts them finally confessing to each other - again could be played more angsty or more fluffy. I just like the idea that Phil has been daydreaming about fucking Techno for a while now and so he feels guilty that such a horrible situation also secretly made him excited.
Or even purely platonic Techno and Phil who are just friends, get put in this situation, and end up having sex, then needing to deal with the change to their relationship. I have this headcanon that Elytrians mate for life because they're immortal. So perhaps by having the sex, even if it was influenced by drugs, Phil has instinctively claimed Techno as his mate. And that cannot be undone unless either of them dies. Could be pretty angsty, but could also focus on them growing more into their feelings with time.

Although Phil and Techno are perfect for each other, they feel the need to keep their relationship private. That includes from family.
It's pretty easy for the most part, considering they live so isolated. However, they know it can't last forever. Especially after some "changes"
One day, Wilbur drops by unexpectedly. He notices that the two are acting weird. It's obvious they're hiding someone. At some point, Wilbur hears a high picture scream down the hallway. Ignoring their protests, he rushes to investigate.
He goes into the spare bedroom and finds a crib. Inside, there's a tiny, squealing piglet with wings. Techno and Phil just confess, knowing it would be impossible to lie. Hell, wilbur just saw literal living proof of their love.
Techza baby 🥺
Gives a whole new meaning to the term "when pigs fly", huh?
But yeah, Techno and Phil would try their best to keep their relationship a secret because they've seen how relationships can be used against a person and considered a weakness. They don't consider the other person a weakness, but they never want to put the other in danger (like Techno's execution) because of the other. So, they keep it private and on the down low.
Throw a baby into the mix and they'd do anything to keep their child safe, including hide them from the world (or, at least, this server). Especially considering both of their instincts (Avian and Piglin), which would drive them to protect their child at any cost and attack anyone who threaten their family. (Phil is especially bad about it and is constantly in his nest with their baby, and only lets Techno in)
But once Wilbur knows, they would have no choice but to explain to him. And Wilbur is....conflicted to say the least. Of course, he is happy for them, new member of the family and all that! But he still can't help but feel like he's been replaced. That, of course, Phil had a new child with someone else because Wilbur is a fuck up and Phil would want to try again with a new baby.
Course this is not the case, Techza are just dumb and had an oopsie-baby much sooner than they were planning on having kids. But they still love and cherish their new addition, and are inviting to Wilbur to spend time with his half-sibling, if he so desires (with supervision because they want to trust Wilbur, but they don't completely yet).
(In the future and when they aren't nearly as overprotective, Techno and Phil might tell Ranboo and let their baby meet Michael. Maybe.)

Phil really had a son and decided to name him "wild boar", after his best friend.
(Because even if Techno hadn't been the one to sire Wilbur, Phil certainly wished Techno had been and hoped Techno would love Wilbur just as much as Phil did.)

Robin Hood+A/B/O AU:
Phil is an Omega, formerly from an upper class family, but he was disowned once it was revealed he'd bonded with a lower class Alpha and was already pregnant. Phil's Alpha took him in and they were happy for a few years, Phil giving birth to a son they named Wilbur. But unfortunately Phil's Alpha died, leaving Phil and Wilbur alone.
Even before Phil's Alpha died, they struggled to make ends meet, without him it was near impossible. But Phil had always been clever and resourceful, and while he had been disowned, he still knew exactly where his family kept their gold locked up. It's risky, but he has no other choice at this point, if he is to care for his son and keep him safe.
That's how it starts, the stealing from the rich. He moves on from his family and begins targeting other nobles, having inside knowledge of where they keep their gold and valuables.
He shares what he steals with the other lower class around him, since he knows they're struggling just as much as him.
It starts an uproar among the upper class, and Phil is quickly labeled an outlaw. No one knows his real identity of course (he's not stupid) and is careful to hide his face, sticking to the shadows and attacking from a distance using his skills with a bow and arrow (the only weapon he was ever allowed to touch as an omega living among the upper class). He hides his scent as well when he robs the rich and no one ever suspects that it's an Omega of all people who would dare to steal from them.
Of course, eventually word of this new vigilante reaches Prince Dream, an Alpha, who immediately sets out to arrest this outlaw. He sends multiple high ranking officials/generals from his council to deal with the problem, but they either turn up dead or come back explaining that it is impossible to find this mysterious outlaw, much less capture them.
So, in a fit of desperation (and maybe secretly hoping he'll fail so he doesn't have to deal with him anymore), Dream sends his half-brother, Techno to catch the outlaw.
Techno is Dream's half-brother and despite being an Alpha as well, he isn't highly regarded or treated well due to him being a bastard and having been born from one of the former King's mistresses. He is a prince in name only and has no power. He's only kept around at this point because he's an exceptionally amazing battle strategist and an absolute beast in battle. Even if he's somewhat respected due to to his skills, he has no one he could call a genuine friend and he definitely knows no would ever want to become mates with the bastard prince.
When Dream tells him about their little outlaw problem, Techno can't help but think that the upper class are getting what they deserve at this point because they hoarded a majority of resources and money to themselves. He's secretly in awe of this outlaw for doing what they have.
But if Dream wants him to catch the outlaw then he's going to catch the outlaw, regardless of his own feelings (expressing his opinions or going against Dream could end badly, Techno knows).
Techno begins investigating more into the mysterious green cloaked outlaw and comes to the conclusion that they must have insider information of some sort. He begins to track the places the outlaw has hit and predict their next move.
He's successful. Sorta. He catches a glimpse of the outlaw running away from a noble's carriage that had just been ransacked by them.
There are many times where Techno arrives just too late to stop the outlaw, only catching glimpses of them or watching them escape. He still can't help but admire the outlaw and their tactics, despite this.
And the longer Techno stays here, seeing first-hand how the lower class are treated, he feels sympathy and can understand why the outlaw is doing what they are. And if Techno tends to turn a blind eye when he sees the lower class citizens thriving and buying much needed resources with gold they normally would not own, usually only a few days after a noble was robbed, well then that's his business.
But eventually, Techno is able to catch the outlaw. It's completely an accident as well.
Techno just happened to be in the right place at the right time and is visiting a noble family (the first one that had been stolen from), when the outlaw strikes. But since the first robbery, the noble family had hired many guards and one of them manages to land a hit on the outlaw with an arrow.
The outlaw escapes into the nearby woods, but Techno knows they're injured and most likely slow. The perfect opportunity to catch them.
Techno makes his way into the woods, finding a trail of blood and begins following it.
It begins to rain heavily, Techno losing the trail of the blood and it's when he's reached the center of the woods, about to give up, that he hears it - a low Omega whine, crying out for help.
That makes Techno sprint into action, running in the direction of the noise, until he finds a small figure slumped up against the trunk of a tree, a massive arrow pinned through their shoulder.
It's the outlaw. And judging from the slight sweet scent beginning to come off of them, they're the omega Techno heard cry out for help.
The outlaw growls when Techno crouches down and comes near them, but Techno merely lets out a soft purr, and the outlaw lets out another whine, quieter this time.
Techno is gentle as he lifts the outlaw into his arms, being oh so careful of the arrow still lodged in them. It's during this time that the signature hat the outlaw tended to wear falls off, revealing their face.
A face that Techno recognizes, one that had been set in an old discarded frame in the noble family's house and when Techno had asked, they had sneered and simply said, "Disowned."
A face that, many years ago had been much younger and innocent, belonging to a fierce little Omega who had been brave enough to stand up for Techno when his brother and his friends had wanted to use him as their test dummy while they practiced with wooden swords.
The Omega was older than them by quite a few years and had no issue scolding Dream and his friends, quickly chasing them off. Once they were gone, he had crouched down to where Techno had been pushed onto the ground and smiled at him, asking if he was okay.
Techno hasn't said anything, merely shook his head.
"I imagine not, after being harassed like that. Bullies the lot of them," the Omega had said and offered his hand to Techno. "Here."
Techno had hesitated before grabbing the Omega's hand and allowing him to help him back up on his feet.
"I'm only visiting the castle with my family for about a week for this grand ball or whatever, so I'm kinda new around here. Mind telling me your name?" the Omega asked.
"...Techno."
The Omega smiles at him (why did he keep doing that and why does Techno want to be on the receiving end of that smile more), "That's a cool name. Unfortunately, mine isn't as cool. I'm just-"
"-Philza," Techno breathes out into the present, the revelation hitting him as he stares down at the unconscious form of Phil, his childhood friend and sweetheart, lying in his arms.

Hey, in regards of your last post. I just want to know your opinion on Techno half wondering if he's Wil's sire? Like, Phil definitely doesn't know, and it's more probable it was a random guy than Techno. But what if in Techno's mind he goes a bit like that one John Mulaney sketch "did I do that?"
Ngl I was tempted to put in the tags "There's a possibility Techno could even be Wil's father" but then I didn't asdfghjkl
In my mind, Techno wasn't around Phil (or you know, dating him) when Wilbur was conceived and didn't meet Wilbur until he was well into his adult years because being immortal beings, sometimes Techno and Phil go decades without seeing each other.
BUT.
I did think of an scenario where Techno and Phil like meet in the Nether or something, have a very passionate and brief fling, but they eventually go separate ways because reasons (even though they both really did like each other and would've gladly continued).
Anyway, they end up meeting like ten years later and when Techno sees Phil now has a child, he's like "Uh...so how old is he?"
"He...just turned ten recently."
And Techno and Phil just sorta stare at each other, both knowing the that there is an approximate nine month gap between their brief fling and Wilbur's birthday.
"...Is he mine?"
"I...don't know."
So Phil has to explain to Techno that he genuinely doesn't know, especially because by all accounts Wilbur just looks like a normal human (and Phil definitely did not hook up with any fully human people), so it's just a giant mystery to him.
But regardless of whether Wilbur is or isn't his biological son, Techno isn't going to let Phil slip away again, and he's gonna be the best dad to Wilbur, if Phil will let him.
(He will.)

More King!Techno + Queen!Phil:
One of the kingdoms bordering the Antarctic Empire begins to grow in strength and power, challenging other countries and eventually conquering them. Techno and Phil watch the kingdom closely, wary of a potential threat to their Empire. They are right to be watchful of course because it isn't long before the kingdom begins to encroach on the Empire's territory, slowly taking over cities along their shared border.
As King, it's Techno's duty to deal with the threat and he begins to prepare his army for battle. By now, Phil's wing has healed, meaning he could join Techno in battle and fight by his side once again. But for some reason...he doesn't.
"Someone needs to stay and guard the palace, keep things in order while you're gone," is Phil's reasoning and he seems sure of his decision, which Techno respects and approves of.
On the day that the Empire's army is set to leave, the King and Queen have a heartfelt goodbye, clinging to each other and sharing a deep kiss.
They both know that the other kingdom will most likely be dealt with quickly, perhaps a month at least, but both of them still can't help but feel a little worry and anxiety at being separated.
Phil in particular, is especially emotional, crying as he hugs Techno and making him promise to make the other kingdom regret ever challenging them, to come back home to him as soon as possible.
Techno promises and gives Phil one last kiss before he leaves, leading the army away.
Several months pass.
What was supposed to be a simple border skirmish quickly became much more, the kingdom having much bigger numbers than they originally thought, and Techno is gone far longer than any of them planned. He fights long and hard, refusing to back down, until eventually Techno forces his way into the kingdom's capital, breaks into the castle and finds the cowering king hiding behind what little is left of his army. He gives the other ruler the chance to surrender honorably, but when the king refuses and mistakes Techno for just another warrior (not believing a king would actually risk his life and fight alongside his army), Techno feels no regret killing him.
The Empire is victorious and defeats the kingdom that day. There are calls for celebration and feasts, but all Techno wants to do is return home to Phil and see his Queen once again.
When Techno does eventually return home, bloody and bruised, utterly exhausted but still in one piece...Phil is not there to greet him.
Which immediately sends him into a panic, despite some of his advisors trying to reassure him that Phil is fine, he's just resting and probably tired because it's been a very stressful few days for him, he lost a lot of blood-
Upon hearing that, Techno does not wait for an explanation and rushes to find Phil, slamming open the door to their chambers, to find his husband there.
"Techno-" Phil starts to say before he's enveloped into a crushing hug, Techno bending down to kiss him for the first time in months. Phil can only return the hold and wrap his arms around Techno, kissing him back just as eagerly.
"I'm sorry I took so long, but I'm here now," Techno apologizes once they've seperated.
"It's alright, that's all that matters," Phil reassures him, pressing a soft kiss to his husband's forehead.
Now that he has Phil safely in his arms, Techno can think a little more clearly and that's when he notices that Phil really does look exhausted, but he also seems...happy, a certain glow around him that Techno can't quiet place.
"Phil, what happened while I was gone? The advisors, they said that you lost a lot of blood, but I don't-" Techno begins to asks when Phil smiles and places a finger against Techno's lips to silence him.
"Come here, there's someone I want you to meet," he simply says and takes Techno's hand into his own, leading him to their bed, where a bassinet lays innocently beside it.
A bassinet.
Wait.
Hold on.
Techno's brain is still trying to process the information being presented to him when Phil reaches into the bassinet and picks up the baby (baby!) sleeping inside, cradling them gently in his arms.
"Your son," Phil says, presenting the baby to Techno with a soft smile.
"My son?" Techno asks, his voice cracking slightly, staring in shock at the small creature (his son, his son??) still in Phil's arms.
"Well, our son, but yes. Definitely yours," Phil says with a small chuckle.
"What...how? I don't understand..." Techno trails off, sitting on the edge of the bed, holding his head in his hands.
"Well, when two people love each other very much-" Phil starts to say in a teasing tone.
"Phil! Seriously!"
"Sorry, sorry," Phil apologizes and comes to sit down next to Techno on the bed. He leans into Techno's side and looks down at their son (their son), still sleeping soundly in Phil's arms. "I found out I was pregnant shortly after you left, but I decided not to send a messenger bird to tell you, in case the other kingdom intercepted it. I figured I could tell you in person when you returned home, since you'd only be gone a month, but then..."
"But one month became several," Techno finished. He's quiet for a moment before he hesitates and asks, "Can I...hold him?"
" 'Course," Phil smiles and he passes their son to Techno, making sure to hold him correctly. It's now that their son finally stirs awake, staring up at Techno with big brown eyes.
"You know, he was supposed to be born in another few weeks, but I guess he was just eager to finally meet his father," Phil says quietly, watching his husband and son.
"What's his name?" Techno asks, not tearing his gaze away from his son, who looks so tiny laying there in Techno's arms. So small and fragile, but trusting, no fear in his eyes as he reaches up with a tiny hand to try to grab some of Techno's long hair.
"Officially...he doesn't have one yet. I wanted to wait until you came back so we could name him together..." Phil's voice trails off and he glances off to the side.
"But...?" Techno prompts, sensing his husband's hesitation.
"But I've been calling him Wilbur."
"Wilbur. Hm. It's...nice. Not something I would've chosen, but it'll do I suppose," Techno says with a shrug, causing Phil to chuckle beside him, knowing his husband is teasing him.
"You can choose the name of our next one," Phil promises.
"Hopefully," Techno agrees before his eyes widen when he suddenly realizes what Phil said, "...Next one?"

Techno in a corset is all well and good, but what about Phil in a corset?
Doesn't he deserve to wear one and look stunning in it, making his husband incredibly flustered by how good he looks?

Note
phil 100% plays eith techno's tiddies in return when he gets the chance
Yes, he 100% does.
The thing about Techno is that he is very hairy, so it isn't uncommon for Phil to run his fingers through Techno's chest hair when they're like lying down together in bed or something. Techno doesn't care, he just lets Phil do what he wants (and maybe actually doesn't mind at all because Techno is slightly self conscious about how hairy he is). Besides, he knows it's only fair that Phil gets to touch his tiddies if he gets to snuggle with Phil's.
