When you play video games do you play as character would make the choices/the closest you could get to their own voice in terms of dialogue options, or do you pick very specific routes for optimal ends? Or specific options with the hopes of impressing the romantic character you are vying for, over ones that might make more sense for your character?

Just curious as I've been playing BG3.

#l la plays bg3 #l la plays video games #i personally play as my character and it is interesting to see things in bg3 where folks approve and disapprove within the same minute in #a dialogue tree. spoilers but faeriebell chose to take in madness from a spirit to free it which minthara disapproved of but because they #withstood it and retained their wisdom she approved of it. it's interesting to see!! and interesting that shadowheart feels exceptionally #faeriebell and i am not romancing her or anything or like trying to impress her but she must like their specific brand of chaos or is easil #impressed :') but yeah! IDK it is interesting. like i want to personally smooch minthara but i also would never pick stuff my character #not pick (beyond not doing romance lines often in games)
