When you play video games do you play as character would make the choices/the closest you could get to their own voice in terms of dialogue options, or do you pick very specific routes for optimal ends? Or specific options with the hopes of impressing the romantic character you are vying for, over ones that might make more sense for your character?
Just curious as I've been playing BG3.

Tav act 1 asks: 1 , 2, 3 , and 4!
ACT 1 Questions! 1. Faeriebell's name is Faeriebell! They are a Wild Magic Sorcerer (with a level in Bard, and a level in Warlock--for the flavour!). Technically in-game they are a High Elf, but I imagine them presenting and being like more like an Eladrin. I am still up in the air about their backstory, beyond their connection to the Feywild. For my first playthrough--I am just playing the Tav run, but I did initially consider running them as a Durge. Being a Bhaalspawn does not suit Faeriebell; however, being a creature that has been stolen and weaponized to another's purpose does. And I liked the concept of them being taken by Bhaal to be used in that way. A butterfly taken from all other sustance and given only blood to sustain themself through. (Having to grow from what they were used for/taught to try and discover what it means to be a person beyond an object, how identity is made, et cetra. Themes of what is self, how we build identity are always key to them.)
2. You can't get cool butterfly ears in the creator--or the level of iridesence I imagine their skin has. Also they are way too big--they're like a tiny little waif of a creature. 5'1" and maybe 85 pounds.
3. They have not used any of the worm powers--I cannot imagine they'd be that interested in using them. Faeriebell is a walking magical fuse (the reason their name in other games is Faerie Bombe), an arcane thing. They do like thinking about how the worm might be like--living on their brain. Is it comfortable in their skull. What is it like to try to sleep upon the folds of brain tissue, et cetra.
4. I do remember how I recruited them! My first few companions were: Shadowheart right away, Astarion, and then Laezel. Eventually Wyll, then Karlach, and then I went back and got Gale. I cannot think of any of them feeling homey or familiar to Faeriebell upon direct meeting, but I'll have to think about that more.

BG3 Thoughts
I gotta get energy to draw a comic, because the moment meeting Minthara in BG3 has stuck in my mind. I realize she was using faerie as a slur against Faeriebell (because high elf, even if in my heart eladrin), but my brain filled it in mentally with Karlach just kick-reaction being like: "Bell." And Astarion under his breath being like: "oh do shut up, please."
(Minthara too busy trying to deal with sifting through Faeriebell's brain to really care about the little interparty scuffle.)

Faeriebell on the tadpoles in BG3:
"What is it like to occupy the space within a skull, our eyes are socketed within, but they were pre-determined to live in that space. A creature not meant for our heads, but pressed into the crevice to make a home... What do you think it is like sleeping upon the folds of the tissue within the brain?
Do they need the rest even so, but perhaps it calls to them like a ditch does to a corpse... A place to put down your head..."
All of their companions dislike this train of thought.
