so I'm watching the Jurassic episodes where Fei's being angsty about being an orphan and I'm reminded of the Bluey episode "Space", where one of the characters keeps isolating himself for reasons he himself doesn't even understand. in reality he's trying to act out a traumatic experience of an incident of abandonment that happened when he was younger.

imagine they're training with those dinosaurs and Fei keeps walking off without telling anyone, til he's just out of sight, trying to be alone but not knowing why. they keep calling him back and asking him what's up but he's not really giving them anything.

imagine he runs off again and this time the team can't find him. they're of course worried so Torb asks some of his dinosaur friends to help find him- he turns out to be sitting in a cave by himself. Tenma asks what's wrong and he can't, or doesn't want to, tell him.

imagine they get back on the bus after unlocking the mixi max or whatever and Fei seems fine, but when they take off he gets that look in his eye again. Tenma and the others are all chatting away but he wishes he was in that cave again. he wishes he was alone again. and he doesn't know why.
