So here It finally Is, It was pretty fun to do since I had never drawn some of the characters ^^ I tried drawing on a different platform so that's why the drawing may look different than usual .

Plus Someoka and Aphrodi bc some people suggested them and I felt bad not drawing them 😔

i had a vision the other day.

transmasc Akane.

allow me to explain my vision under the cut.

note that this takes place in my AU, Freedom Chronicles. if you’re not familiar with it, all you need to know is that there’s an OC called Michiru, and Tsurugi is called Kyouka and she’s transfem.

Akane loves Shindou. she loves him so much it hurts. and it also hurts because he doesn’t see her. yet she tried. she tried so hard to be the perfect, kindhearted girls boys always love. she bottled up who she was, because she doesn’t want him to think she’s weird.

yet he doesn’t look at her. why would he? Shindou has everything. he leads the football team, plays piano, has a lot of friends. she’s just an ordinary girl. all she has for herself is her talent for photography and other hobbies she doesn’t dare admit because it would break the angelic girl image she’s built.

Okatsu is the last nail on the coffin. in two years, Shindou has never so much as glanced at her. but now, he’s smiling and giving attention to a girl from the past he barely met. Akane is jealous. how could she not be? all her efforts have been in vain.

Michiru notices her distress. one night, as she sits outside on her own, he joins her. he tells her what she needed to hear from the start: that she doesn’t need Shindou to be someone. that she doesn’t need his validation to feel complete. then, he asks her this, “who do you actually want to be?” Akane’s first thought is that she wants to be more like him.

the match against protocol omega 2.0 is getting closer. Aoi, Akane and Midori are playing, since they don’t have a full team. Aoi, Tasuke and Michiru are chosen for Ichiyajou. but they can’t make it work. Akane, who’s always paid attention to details, notices some flaws in how they perform. but she doesn’t speak up. it doesn’t feel right. something’s still missing for her to be able to stand on her own.

the morning of the match, Akane wakes up at dawn and walks to the nearby river. she contemplates her reflection on the water. Kyouka joins her. she also noticed Akane’s distress. after all, she knows it better than anyone. she can sense it. Akane looks at Kyouka in the eye, and asks for help.

when Raimon arrives at the pitch, they’re missing two members. fortunately, they arrive right before the match starts. there’s Kyouka, and, next to her, a boy with short chestnut hair. he knows how to solve Ichiyajou. he takes Michiru’s place and corrects their timing.

at half-time, the boy introduces himself as Akamune. Yamana Akamune. he looks more confident, more radiant. Shindou notices it too. and, because he’s failed to use his keshin armed so far, he asks if Akamune shouldn’t be the one receiving the mixi-max in his place. Akamune refuses, and asks him if that’s really what he wants. because Akamune knows more than anyone what it’s like to forsake what we are, what we want, just because we’re scared of not being good enough.

when Shindou manages to calm himself down and receives’ Nobunaga’s aura, he thanks Akamune. it’s what Akamune always wanted. Shindou’s validation. yet he doesn’t care all that much. because coming out and trusting his own abilities helped him get over the need for someone’s else’ approval.

Akamune spends the rest of their adventure being all cheerful. he takes pictures of everything. he starts drawing on random occasions, always taking everyone by surprise. he asks tons of questions whenever parallel worlds and time paradoxes are mentioned. he’s not afraid of looking weird and obsessed with his interests. He’s also not afraid of pointing out flaws and details no one else is able to see. Akamune is no longer a lovelorn girl, he’s a happy boy who doesn’t need anyone else to enjoy life.

you know, despite how much i hate AI, i gotta admit it gave me something: pride

pride that, even though my art isn't great, even though my fics aren't great, at least i'm doing them myself. i'm holding my pen to draw. i'm using my sweat to type on the keyboard.

it's ironic, but AI existing gave me more confidence in what i'm doing. because at least i'm DOING it.
