For this year’s Inception Big Bang!

The wonderful @deinvatiwrites wrote this incredibly sweet AU in which Arthur owns a fish and urgently needs a hug. It’s pure awesome.

aka i finally stopped being too lazy to make this and also i’m losing track of juliet’s different hair colours so this is also a reminder for me 🤠🤠🤠

note: 99% of these aren’t juliet’s face claim hwjsjw this is just to give you guys an idea of what her hair looked like!!

as for in between comebacks, she will either keep the hair colour from the last comeback or dye it back to her natural hair colour (dark brown) if the break was longer!!

all throughout her trainee days juliet kept her natural hair colour, so for her debut she wanted to change it up but at the same time not have it be too different ahjshwjs 🤡

the end result turned out to be a slightly lighter brown with blonde highlights

one of her favourite styles to this day!! she likes it especially when it’s curled like in the photo on the right!!

her hair was dyed to black and cut to around chin-length

this was a pretty sudden decision ie. the boys didn’t know about it until after she got back from the salon

her hair gradually grew into a long bob throughout promotions which she also loved!!

two hair colours for this era!!

she started with a golden blonde which she liked but then atiny started to joke about it looking like spaghetti 💀

so for revenge juliet dyed it to a light, ashy brown mid-promotions like lmao sIKE who’s the spaghetti now 🤠🤠🤠

another very sudden decision; one day she was blonde and the next day she showed up on stage as a brunette and everyone was like wtf when did that happen????

a lot of atinys thought the brown was spray-on dye but it wasn’t (she dipped like half of her hair in water during a vlive to prove it and sat through the rest of it with sopping wet hair 🤙)

haha turns out the brown didn’t last long at all bc juliet went back to blonde for this era!! 🤡

compared to the blonde from the beginning of wave era, this one was a lot paler so it looked more like white than blonde

she liked it but she really felt the hair damage during this era can we get a big yikes in here 💀

it had to be maintained all throughout promotions so she had to keep bleaching it and touching up the roots to make sure it stayed whitish-blonde

one night during practice she was extra emotional from exhaustion and sleep deprivation, so when she accidentally pulled a small clump of her very damaged, very brittle hair out she started crying which scared the boys bc ??? what happened ??????

it wasn’t that much hair but she was very tired at the moment oKAY 💀

so yeah after that crying incident she went back to dark hair right at the beginning of december 2019 so her hair could take a break 🤡🤡

she also got those wispy bangs which she really loved!!

sometimes her hair stylist would part her bangs down the middle just for some variety!!

kept the dark hair all throughout answer era; she felt it got a bit boring but she wanted to let her hair rest so she wasn’t complaining too much 💀

overall, nothing too special to note during this era but her hair looked a lot healthier and also more luscious!! i mean it was also thanks to hair extensions but shhhh

another one of her favourite hairstyles!!

juliet kept the dark hair but this time she added green highlights!!

she loved it bc it was simple but still had some ✨Spice✨ to it

this hairstyle also made her feel a little like shego from kim possible so she definitely wasn’t complaining 🤩🤩

at first only the pieces framing her face were dyed green but towards the later stages of promotion she added more highlights!! (not really shown in the above collage)

definitely juliet’s brightest/most unconventional (?) hair colour since debut

but she loved it!! after having mostly dark hair for a year she was ready to sacrifice her scalp to the hair gods again!! 🤠🙏

in the mv and during early promotions the purple was brighter and more saturated

but as promotions went on it started fading to a more muted shade which she also liked!!

the purple lasted until early april before she went blonde again (a similar shade of blonde from wave era)

she’s bringing the spaghetti back yessir yessir yessir gracias 😋🍝

a/n: writing this made me think of a few things 🤠 1) yeonjun pulling out a clump of his hair mid-interview (?) which inspired that bit about juliet crying when she yanked out her hair 2) just how damaged is rosé’s hair???? 😭😭😭 she’s been blonde since 2019 is her hair okay?????? 3) wanting to dye my own hair kinda like the first one with the blonde highlights 🤠

Inception Big Bang 2019!

Due to popular demand, here's the Inception Big Bang 2019, the first edition in years of the iconic gift exchange event!

First things first you may ask, what's a Big Bang? A Big Bang is a fandom event where authors submit fic summaries / outlines / drafts and artists claim them and produce accompanying artwork. Here's the link to the fanlore page, if you want to take a look! 

Our fandom has an amazing Reverse Bang, where artists submit art and authors claim it, but the lovely @xan-drei made us realise that we haven't had a regular one in years. Sounds fun? Then let's do this!

Here are the guidelines!

Schedule:

June 24th Deadline for Sign Ups

June 26th First Round of Fic Claims

July 2nd Second Round of Fic Claims

July 15th Authors and Artists Check In

July 31st Works due

We're working with July in mind because of Inceptiversary, the month of festivities in honor of the anniversary of our beloved movie. The end of July is almost two months from now, so we should make it in time.

Sign ups for Authors and Artists close at 11:59 on June 24th, est time

Authors will have until June 24th to submit a summary of what they'll be writing, as well as tags for squirmish themes or TW that they believe could be relevant. Authors, just a summary works, don't worry. The actual deadline is the end of July, some way to go. But the more you give our artists the better. You've got an outline? One specific scene written? Send them our way.

With the summaries in hand, fics are open for claims.

First round of fic claims will open on June 26th.

Second round of fic claims will open on July 2nd.

Final works are due July 31th!

Inceptiversary 2019 MasterPost

It will soon be July and you know what that means! IT’S INCEPTIVERSARY TIME!!!!!!

In case you don’t know (and that’s fine, we love new blood in this fandom), Inceptiversary is the yearly celebration of the release of the film that keeps us darlings dreaming bigger: Inception. It takes place over five weeks (July 1st to August 5th) and includes fandom focused events, challenges, and content. It’s when we Inceptionites come together to strengthen the community, show appreciation, and welcome in a new generation of dreamers!

ALL SHIPS ARE WELCOME in the Inceptiversary festivities and we encourage you to explore a ship you haven’t before. You never know what you might find!

“But wait, teacup,” you say. “How am I to keep track of all these awesome events? How will I know what’s happening and what’s to come?”

I’m glad you asked, dear dreamer, because we have the super-organized and equally awesome @freighttraininmybrain over at the Inception Social Calendar and the miraculous trio of @flosculatory, @deinvatiwrites, and @dbshawnblog on the @Inceptiversaryblog keeping us from succumbing to Inception FOMO! So hold onto your grip on reality because the unbelievable details of this year’s Inceptiversary are laid out below!

1) Theme Weeks: 

Inceptiversary is structured over five glorious weeks, each of which caters to a theme in fandom. Fans are encouraged to post and reblog all manner of content related to each week’s theme. Memes, fics, fanvids, artwork, conspiracy theories; all will find a home! And you may just discover something you didn’t know you needed in your life.

This year’s Theme Weeks are:

Week 1, July 1 - 7 No Stone Unturned - Inception Gen Week 

This is a special Theme Week this year as we’ve paired it with a prompt challenge of the same name that will be run by @bayta-darell! The Inception fandom has a ton of love to go around, but what about the non-romantic kind of love? This week, we're focusing on all of the great platonic and familial relationships with a series of daily prompts. These are just meant as a starting point to get you inspired and by all means, disregard these as much as you want! All Inception content that isn't based on romantic or sexual relationships is welcome, and fanwork recommendations are certainly encouraged as well. Have fun, and happy Inceptiversary!

Domestication at its best! Bring out all your happily ever afters and spend a week in bliss as your favourite ships ride off on magical rainbow unicorns and make all their dreams come true!

Week 4, July 22 -28 In Between The Lines: 

We all have them. Those headcanons about what went on behind the scenes of Inception. What happened to Tadashi? Is Ariadne hiding gills under all those scarves? Just what did the team do with all that time left over in the dream? And for Nolan’s sake, did the damn top fall over or not?

Week 5, July 29 - August 5 Crack/Fluff: 

It’s been a long month so kick back and relax with a large dose of everyone’s favourite guilty pleasure: Crackfic! We all need those fics that are purely for entertaining silly and happy ideas. They’re a soft place to land and a great opportunity to get wacky ideas out of your head! Indulge and enjoy the ride!

2. Watch Parties (@corinnetags, @noitsnacktime, @freighttraininmybrain ):    

Watch parties are an excellent way to meet other people in fandom and tend to create a ton of inspiration for future wips! All movies are connected to the cast of Inception in one way or another and will be held on either Slack or Discord or both depending on host availability/preference.  The schedule for all viewings can be found on the Inceptiversary Social Calendar.

3. Watch Party Bingo: (@withinmeloveresides1, @zuulee63)

On July 1st, 16th, and 31st, Inception Bingo during the Official (not really) Inception Watch Parties! You can check out the viewing times on the Inception Social Calendar. More info to come!

4. Inception 30 Day Challenge (@flosculatory): 

The 30 Day Challenge is such an interesting and entertaining look into the minds of your fellow Inceptionites! Learn how others feel about your favourite Inception moments and enjoy a look back at why we’re all still here, nine years after its release.

5. Trope/Kink Bingo (@teacuphuman09, @dreamhubbies):

One of the most popular aspects of Inceptiversary is the Trope/Kink Bingo, and goodness, does it ever deliver! Scoot on over to @inceptiversarybingo  for info on how to get your hands on your very own bingo card, then indulge your (not so) secret desire to write all the tropes and/or kinks your little fandom heart desires!

6) AELDWS: (@teacuphuman09):

I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have a stake in this year’s Arthur/Eames Last Drabble Writer Standing event. AELDWS was missed last year, but in 2019 it’s returning to its roots and eliminating one writer every week until a champion is crowned! (I’m coming for you, @deinvatiwrites)

The Caption Contest is back! Send in your purrfect puss pics, captioned with a quote from Inception and you could win all the fame and fortune of the Inception cat fandom! Get to it, meow!
