★ Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 pushed to Diwali 2023 for THIS reason!
Oct 28, 2022 Earlier in the month, Salman Khan surprised everyone by announcing Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan as an Eid 2023 release, and he informed the audience that his ambitious Tiger 3 will now release during the Diwali 2023 weekend. Post the announcement, there were several speculations on the reason for the delay. Pinkvilla has exclusively learnt that Tiger 3 featuring Salman with Katrina Kaif has been postponed due to the VFX factor. A source informs that VFX artists across the world are loaded with work due to the pandemic.
What has led to a delay in Tiger 3?
“The vision of Maneesh Sharma, Aditya Chopra, and the entire Tiger 3 team is to bring out a world-class action thriller with Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Emraan Hashmi. The studio is clear – they don’t want to compromise on the visuals of either of their tentpole films and hence, took the call to announce a new release date for Tiger 3, giving more time on the VFX front of Tiger3. The action scenes are complex and they are said to be creating one of the biggest action sequences ever for the extended climax of Tiger 3, which will be high on stunts and complex visuals,” revealed a source close to the development.
When Aditya Chopra thought that the visual effects will take time, he spoke to Salman and suggested him to bring his action entertainer, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan on Eid, as the fans would want to see Salman in this festive season. “Salman and Eid go hand in hand, and when Tiger 3 VFX deliveries could not match the timelines for an April release, Adi discussed it with Salman, and felt it was best to delay the film to Diwali. He also told Salman that he should deliver on his commitment of an Eid release with Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan,” the source informed, adding further that Salman was also game for this, as he felt the delay of Tiger will also give him more time to sit on the edit and post-production of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, rather than rushing through it.
When will Tiger meet Pathaan?Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is yet to shoot his cameo for Tiger 3. “Much like Salman in Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan also has an action-packed cameo in the film. He is yet to shoot for the part and this reunion of two of Indian cinema’s most celebrated superstars is now expected to happen at ease post the release of Pathaan based on date availability. The sequence will be shot at YRF, and even this would need extensive use of VFX as the idea is to create a mega-action block. It would have been a race against time for Eid release, and hence, it’s always better to deliver an uncompromised product to the audience, especially when the stakes are so high,” the source added.

New York - May 2024
Just back from action-packed Frieze art week festivities in the Big Apple which featured stops at Future Fair, Nada New York and Frieze New York. The art fair spree dovetailed nicely with the launch of the major post-war, contemporary, and modern auction previews scheduled for later this month at Sotheby’s, Christie’s and Phillips. The fairs and auction previews together served up fantastic art viewing opportunities for art fans and aficionados alike. And, as if that wasn’t enough given the mere 24 hours of viewing time on hand, serendipity delivered the icing on the cake with the timely opening of Tammi Campbell’s marvelous gallery exhibit of recent paintings and sculptures.
The Fairs
Frieze New York was the marquee fair, and it celebrated its 12th year as part of the cultural landscape in the city and its fourth outing at The Shed since relocating from Randall Island. The evolution of the fair since then has been considerable. From a corporate perspective, it is now part of famed Ari Emanuel’s sports and entertainment conglomerate, and, on the art front, the offering got slicker and more rarefied, featuring top-tier highly curated contemporary galleries and works. This year’s boutique-sized edition of 65 or so exhibitors included global mega galleries and international and local blue chippers. Standout works included: Nate Lowman’s “Golf Course Marilyn”, 2024, oil and alkyd on linen (50 x 30 in.); Uri Aran’s “Everything (Timeline)”, 2023, gesso, acrylic, oil, oil pastel, graphite, wood stain, clear polyurethane, charcoal, color pencil, china marker, and mixed media on canvas (87.25 x 42 x 1.5 in.); and, Richard Aldrich’s “Untitled”, 2022, oil and wax on panel (20.5 x 13.13 in.).
NADA New York has long been synonymous with contemporary and emerging art, and the fair continued to build on its reputation as being the go-to event for up-and-coming galleries. For this year’s edition, over 92 galleries, art spaces and non-profit organizations convened in the heart of Chelsea to showcase their stars, including, remarkably, 34 first time presenters. The show highlights included: a pair of works by Shaan Syed “Gorilla, Geurilla” and “To, Too, Two”, 2023, oil and paper collage on linen (35.3 x 31.5 in., each); Emma Schwartz’s “Thought You Should Know (again)”, 2024, oil, charcoal and chalk pastel on canvas (68 x 48 in.); and, Jule Korneffel’s “Alex’s Garden”, 2023, acrylic on canvas (82 x 80 in.).
Future Fair, on a relative basis, was the newest kid on the block, yet the four-year old upstart exuded a palpable vibe and excitement. With a focus on emerging galleries, the contemporary art fair featured over 100 artists from 26 countries, collaborating with over 60 local and international art dealers. Collectively creating a very accessible environment, the artists, works, and gallerists fostered a strong sense of engagement with fairgoers. Highlights included: Gwen Hardie’s assembled triptych “05.29.23”, pure venetian red and naples yellow on indian red, “09.15.23”, darkest cadmium red on indian red and “06.19.23”, lavender on warm umber (24 x 24 in., each); Beck Lowry’s “Red Threat (after Aseem)”, 2023, painted weaving on handmade wooden armature (plywood, crochet thread, oil paint) (12.5 x .75 x 1 in.); and Carolyn Case’s “Night Kitchen”, 2024, chalk pastel on pastel card with artist frame, ceramic porcelain and glaze (17 x 20 in.).
The Auction Previews
The previews for the prominent spring edition of the post-war, contemporary, and modern art auctions at Sotheby’s, Christie’s and Phillips opened to the public and welcomed everyone from the most serious global big hitters gearing up to shell out whatever it takes to walk home with a masterwork to casual and ardent fans savoring the opportunity to look at phenomenal works before they again disappear into private collections. As always, the previews were masterfully staged in wonderful spaces. Supersized showstoppers included: Andy Warhol’s “Flowers”, 1964, acrylic, fluorescent paint and silkscreen ink on linen (82 x 82 in.); Frank Stella’s “Lettre sur les sourds et muets II”, 1974, synthetic polymer paint on canvas (140.88 x 140.88 in.); Felix Gonzalez-Torres’ “(Untitled) America #3”, 1992, 42 light bulbs, porcelain light sockets and electrical cord (length 504 in.); and, Rashid Johnson’s “Anxious Red Painting September 24th”, 2020, oil on linen (72.25 x 96.25 in.). Beyond the headliners, marvelous less conspicuous works were sprinkled throughout. Memorable ones included: Brice Marden’s “Small Parchment Study #1”, 1999, oil on natural vellum stretched over plywood; Henry Taylor’s “Cruel Kids”, 2005, acrylic on canvas (28.5 x 28 in.); and Agnes Martin’s “Earth II”, 1959, oil on canvas (71.33 x 48 in.).
Tammi Campbell Exhibit
In between fairs and auction previews, Tammi Campbell’s As Long As It Lasts exhibit kicked off and featured a walk through with the artist who provided fascinating insights into her practice and the specifics about works on view. With the continuous evolution of her creative re-engineering processes and next gen wrappings, Campbell continued to push appropriation to new heights, all while making the work uniquely her own. Highlights included: the Cy Twombly inspired “Untitled (1970)”, 2024, chalk on blackboard with walnut frame (48.75 x 59.25 x 1.4 in.); and a replica of a famous Andy Warhol work with a twist “Double Elvis (Ferus Type) with Bubble Wrap and Packing Tape”, 2024, acrylic on canvas (81.25 x 58.25 x 1.25 in.).
As spirited art week festivities unfolded across the city, local sportsfans were also whipped up into a frenzy as both their hometown Rangers and Knicks advanced to the second round of their respective playoff series. On the hoops front, with the Knicks now set to tip off against the Pacers, Dino fans can also partake in some playoff excitement (by extension) as former Raptor stars Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby, sporting Pacers and Knicks uniforms, respectively, are pitted against each other. The exuberance of “Crazy Eyes” versus the zen of “OG-Won Kenobe” - one of the two will get to the conference finals which should provide some solace and maybe even bring a smile to Dino nation.
For more information on any of the artists or works mentioned, the upcoming auctions, and the fate of former Dino stars, “Just Google It”.

Royal Enfield Launches
Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 will focus on a more comfortable riding stance, best suited for long distance journeys
Royal Enfield is currently working on a slew of new motorcycles based on its three main platforms, the J-series 350cc, twin-cylinder 650cc and the latest Sherpa 450cc liquid-cooled engine. The 350cc category is the highest-selling and most popular choice amongst customers.
Royal Enfield has a strong grasp of the 350cc segment with bestsellers like Classic 350, Bullet 350, Hunter 350 and Super Meteor 350.Coming soon is the Goan Classic 350 that will further strengthen Royal Enfield’s entry-level portfolio.

Goan Classic 350 name is likely to be used for the bobber-style motorcycle that has been spotted on road tests multiple times in recent months.
The name seems to have been inspired by the party capital of India – Goa, which also sits well with the bike maker as Royal Enfield has its Garage Cafe in Goa, and celebrates its annual motorcycle festival, Motoverse aka Rider Mania, in the state as well.
How is Goan Classic 350 different from Classic 350?
Spy images of the 350cc bobber have revealed that while the bike will carry traditional Royal Enfield design cues, critical changes will lead to very different ergonomics from the rest of the 350cc models.
For instance, the forward-set foot pegs will be complemented by taller handlebars twisted towards the rider. This will lend the bike an appearance of a traditional American chopper.

Taller handlebars can contribute to improved back posture, better control on challenging terrains, and increased stability.
Goan Classic 350 could also see changes in the seat design and seat height. A test mule spotted recently was seen with a rear pillion seat. This could be made available via a separate variant or as an accessory.
The bobber 350 could also have slightly forward set footpegs. Test mule sightings also reveal that Goan Classic 350 will have a different exhaust tip. As a result, it is likely that the exhaust note will also be distinct.

Goan Classic 350 specs, performance
Most of the hardware for the bobber version will be the same as Classic 350. Typical bobber motorcycles have a longer wheelbase. But that’s not the case with the Goan Classic 350. Royal Enfield has favoured a mild bobber look and feel, instead of going for a full-fledged makeover. The latter could have necessitated major tweaks to the platform, which in turn will increase development and production cost. Goan Classic 350 will have the same 1,390 mm of wheelbase as Classic 350.
Since we expect the Goan Classic 350 to be a special edition model, the underpinnings and engine might remain unchanged. So, the motorcycle will use a 349cc, air/oil-cooled motor that will make 20.2bhp at 6,100rpm and 27Nm at 4,000rpm. The engine will come paired with a five-speed gearbox.

Diwali 2023 Set To See Big Jump In Spending On Luxury Goods - Skywire
Given Diwali’s status as no less than India’s biggest and most important holiday of the year, it is only to be expected that many a luxury brands marketing agency will be busy as the festival approaches, coordinating marketing campaigns that are tastefully tied in with the occasion.
However, as high-spending customers in India grow in number, and even many luxury, lifestyle, and fashion brands based well away from South Asia seek to capitalise on this, there is increasing evidence of just how significant a time Diwali is becoming for those who like to spend on high-end goods.
With the Hindu festival of lights this year falling on Sunday 12th November, there are signs that related shopping activity is already intensifying among Indian customers. But what are the lessons that ambitious luxury brands should be taking away as a result?
‍“We are expecting increased spending across all luxury categories”
One relevant media outlet to have recently drawn attention to the ever-greater association between Diwali and the market for high-end products, is the Indian business and financial daily newspaper, Mint.
In an article entitled “Festive buying spree cheers luxury brands”, the publication said that on the backdrop of a “thriving economy”, companies anticipated a “significant surge in luxury goods demand in the ongoing festive season”.
The newspaper observed that “substantial growth” was set to be seen across a range of categories, including fashion, jewellery, footwear, and even cigars, with the third quarter likely to record as much as 20% greater demand in some categories.
The DLF luxury mall in northern India said it had seen 50% growth for watches, branded jewellery, and ready-to-wear items, compared to the same period 12 months earlier.
DLF Retail senior executive director, PushpaBector, said the company had already noticed an “uptick in overall expenditure” amounting to an 8% increase in spending per customer from the situation in 2022, adding: “We are expecting increased spending across all luxury categories, such as clothing, beauty, and personal care, during the upcoming festive season.”
‍So, what should your brand be doing in response to Diwali spending surges?
Of course, as far as Diwali 2023 is concerned, brands in the lifestyle, fashion, and high-end sectors should have already long been working with their chosen luxury brands marketing agency in order to make the most of the opportunities of the season, in ways that feel authentic and relevant.
Although your brand might have gone as far as putting together Diwali-focused capsule collections, this might not represent the best move for every single brand. In any case, it is important for ambitious brands to not depend solely on special-edition product releases in honour of the festival, when optimisation of the all-round consumer experience could be no less powerful a priority.
To learn more about the moves that your own brand might make to align its messaging and offer more effectively with its target audiences, whatever the time of year, please don’t wait any longer to enquire to the Skywire London team.

This initiative, a collaborative effort by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), Cinecittà for the Directorate General for Cinema and Audiovisual of the Italian Ministry of Culture (DGCA-MiC), and the Academy of Italian Cinema – David di Donatello Awards, was curated by Roberto Stabile, Head of the Special Projects Office for the DGCA-MiC at Cinecittà.
