We have provided wedding photography service for a friendly British Indian bride and groom at The Tower Hotel, a 3-min walk from Tower Bridge, London, UK. It was a shorter wedding celebration for us, it only lasted around 5 to 6 hours. If we compare this with our other big Indian weddings which normally take 2 days to capture, this one perhaps is just as spectacular! The reason is the location. The couple chose Tower Bridge as the background for their couple portraits. This couple's civil wedding registry and banquet were held in The Tower Hotel, Tower Bridge in central London. The Concept

As a bride I was very nervous but determined to find a bridal lengha that would reflect my personality as well as my drive to be completely  unique. I always knew since I was a little girl that i wouldn’t be buying my lengha off the rack! I have a creative mindset and wanted to utilise this part of me through customising my own design. I met with tons of people all over London and was even given the opportunity to visit India to shop but nothing was meeting my expectations. I had a year and 4 months to organise myself

I was very particular about the way I wanted to look and I was obsessed with the sixteenth century and Rajasthani/ maharani look the regal and royal colours and fabrics. Firstly the fabric had to be the finest of silks with antique gold sequins to the colour which was an obvious one the gorgeous lush Pink which was far from from the obvious choice Red.

So at this point I had my colour and fabric decided but I was struggling to find something that would take this outfit from an ordinary lengha to a bridal master piece. It was then that I suddenly stumbled upon a stunning creation by the house of Lulla which was a design entailing hand tanjore paintings on fabric which portrayed the women of Rajastan. I instantly fell in love with this idea and this is where my journey began.

I took this idea to many places all of which refused to create something of this sort or those who offered ridiculous senseless ways of production not mentioning any names (Southall broadway). I then came across Ekta via Instagram despite having no realisation of how successful her name is in the industry,I decided to meet with her and fell in love instantly not only with her creations but with her personality and love for what she does. We clicked immediately and I knew from that moment I wanted a Ekta Solanki Couture Bridal piece.

It was in July that I put in the order and the production started. I had an initial fitting which was a cotton cut out prototype, this is something i have never known anyone to do. This allowed me to see how the lengha would sit on my frame and for Ekta to gauge what cuts and styles would suit my A shape frame.

The 2nd step was the sampling, Ekta sent me different embroidery samples as hard as it was as all 3 designs were stunning but my heart screamed for the antique gold with royal Blue piping. This was a idea put forward by Ekta to make the colours pop and make it completely unqiue.

Throughout the process I was sent pictures, updates and the opportunity to amend or add as I wanted. I had full control over the process. The most distinctive aspect of this whole process was the way she allowed me to have full involvement in creating my bridal piece, from selecting the finest fabrics, to colour samples to embroidery I felt full control and trusted her vision.

All in all this amazing piece took 7 months to create, the final fitting was the most memorable one, what an amazing journey it had been. I was never worried or anxious about my outfit and the best part was Ekta delivered my lengha from Dehli 1 month prior to the target date. I was so grateful of this as It meant I got 1 month back to get myself sorted!

I cannot thank you enough Ekta for creating this master piece. I still cannot get over how stunning this is and how you bought my dream outfit to reality. I received so many compliments and questions about where I got my lengha. Although the selfish side of me did not want to reveal details I felt i had to give credit where credit is due.
