Vaggie walked with Charlie up to their room, clutching the creepy shrunken head she'd gotten her from Cannibal Town close to her chest. She knew it would take time for Charlie to trust her again, but this at least meant she forgave her, and that was all Vaggie could ever ask for.

There was still so much she wanted to tell Charlie, so much she wanted to share. But it had to be at Charlie's pace, she owed her at least that much. For now, her partner seemed more focused on the task at hand, so she would be too.

Once they were in their room again, finally alone, she turned to face Charlie. OK, first thing was first: she had to report back on what her actual job was today.
