↪ 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞: micha lived in seongnam with her younger sister, her dog, and her parents. her up bringing wasn’t anything out of the ordinary and generally had a happy family life growing up. her parents both worked office jobs from nine to five every week day, but weekends were always spent together doing family activities. her younger sister, who is three years younger than her, is one of the people she’s closest to and they have a very similar personality. her family wasn’t so sure about her becoming an idol, but at the end of the day they support her no matter what.

↪ 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐛𝐮𝐭: micha was always a very musical person who enjoyed being in the spotlight. she used to take rythmic gymnastics and loved choreographing her routines for competitions. through gymnastics, she developed a love for dance and would busk in different cities on weekends to try to get her name out there and build some street cred. during one of her busking events, an hbh representative offered her an audition for their company. even though she had never tried singing before, she was eager to give it a shot. becoming a trainee was a very spur-of-the-moment decision, but it turned out to be the perfect path for her. as a trainee she was known pretty well by the other trainees because of her dancing ability. she also gathered a lot of attention because of her voice. for someone who didn’t have any vocal training prior to coming to hbh, she was very impressive. only after a few months of training, she was placed into the project group hbh next girls in 2014.

↪ 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐲 - for as long as zim can remember, she’s always been an energetic and in-your-face type of person. she loves meeting new people and making connections, causing her to know a surprising amount of idols outside of her group. she strives in environments that involve her to communicate and mingle with others. when zim is around, a good time is guaranteed.

↪ 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭-𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐞 - she’s a little clumsy. okay, she’s very clumsy. clumsy and sometimes not always there mentally. she’ll drop something, or forget to turn off the stove, or trip over one of nia’s cats. due to this, people are always cautious of what they entrust zim with, as her forgetfulness and accidental-carelessness can be a little dangerous.

↪ 𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞 - zim is one of the select members of triptych that love a good cuddle. she loves physically showing the people she cares and how much she loves them. if the other person isn’t super touchy-feely, that’s fine! zim has no problem telling people she loves them verbally.

↪ 𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭 - sometimes zim forgets that other people live in the world too. often times she doesn’t understand why people act a certain way and has trouble picking up on what makes people tick. her ignorance isn’t always malicious, but it can hurt people’s feelings if she’s not careful.

↪ 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞: when she was younger, eunha lived in new york with both of her parents in an apartment in queens. when she was about 9 years old, her parents divorced. her father won custody over eunha due to her mothers alcoholic and unstable behaviors. eunha and her father lived in queens for another year or so before her father decided that moving to busan, south korea would be beneficial for them. from the time she was 10 and onward, she lived in a small apartment with her father and her grandparents. due to everything they have been through together, eunha and her father have a very close bond. even today, there is no bigger eunha stan than her father.

↪ 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐛𝐮𝐭: eunha’s always been someone that’s adored the spotlight. during school, she’d always be one of the louder kids. she loved putting smiles on people’s faces, even if it meant embarrassing herself. to make her classmates smile, she’d make up silly raps on the spot. she always wanted to be ‘famous’, but she wasn’t exactly sure what that meant. when she was eighteen, she realized that she didn’t want to continue studying english at university. she dropped out and started instantly applying and auditioning at entertainment industries, ready to steer her life in the direction she’s always wanted. she almost accepted SM, but then she met yerin at hbh auditions and wanted to stay with her and debut with her. as a trainee, she had to work insanely hard to be up to scratch like the others. she went from being someone who could not sing or dance very well at all to being a well-rounded trainee. she specifically excelled at rapping, which intrigued a lot of trainees and staff members. she was placed in the predebut project group hbh next girl’s line up in 2014.

NIA’s CONNECTIONS

△𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐈 (𝐄𝐗𝐈𝐃) ➟ 𝐂𝐋𝐎𝐒𝐄 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐒△

↳ Hani and Nia have been friends for several years now. It all started when the EXID and S.O.T comparisons started flooding in around the time of S.O.T’s debut. Hani reached out to Nia at an award show that year and offered to give any advice or pointers S.O.T may have had as rookies. ↳ Hani is essentially Nia's older sister in the industry.  Hani sees it as her responsibility to baby and take care of Nia, as she can see how much stress her friend is under being the leader of such a massive group.

△𝐖𝐎𝐍𝐇𝐎 ➟ 𝐂𝐋𝐎𝐒𝐄 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐒△

↳ Wonho and Nia met back in 2017 during award season and grew close shortly after. Wonho brings a ton of positive energy and support into Nia's life, which Nia is forever thankful for. He's another friend that worries about her stress levels, so he often babies her as well.  ↳ Nia doesn’t really like being babied, but Wonho is someone she has a lot of respect and admiration for, so she listens to him when he tells her to relax or take care of herself. 

△𝐉𝐀𝐄𝐇𝐘𝐔𝐍 (𝐍𝐂𝐓) ➟ 𝐆𝐎𝐎𝐃 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐒△

↳ Besides Johnny, Jaehyun was the second member of NCT that Nia started to feel comfortable around. To Nia, Jaehyun is like a younger brother she never had. She still has no problem scolding him if she thinks he needs to hear something, but she also finds it easy to unwind with him and joke around. ↳ They constantly clown each other, which is refreshing for Nia, since most people are almost too afraid to tease her and call her out.

↳ Yen is the founder of the WinWin protection squad. Ever since they met in 2017, she's made a silent vow to always make sure he’s happy. He's definitely someone she'd consider to be her ride or die. ↳ They both seem to be opposite to each other, but they learn a lot from each other and compliment each other well. WinWin lets more of himself show when he’s around Yen. Yen knows that she can take it easy when she’s around WinWin. 

△𝐃𝐎𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐆 (𝐍𝐂𝐓) ➟ 𝐂𝐋𝐎𝐒𝐄 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐒△

↳ Doyoung is the only external force that is keeping Yen out of jail at this point. He keeps her grounded when she's having her dramatic days. He brings a more realistic and logical approach to Yen’s fiery emotions.  ↳ When he's not being a supportive figure, they have the funniest and most sarcastic interactions with each other. To Yen, Doyoung truly feels like a brother that she can count on.

△𝐘𝐔𝐓𝐀 (𝐍𝐂𝐓) ➟ 𝐆𝐎𝐎𝐃 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐒△

↳ Yen may have accidentally befriended almost everyone in NCT127. Yuta and Yen started hanging out because of their mutual connection to Asa, but they realized that they too have a lot in common. Yuta is also the one that helped Asa and Yen finally get together. He’s braver than the US Marines.  ↳ They're both insanely chaotic when together. It's never a dull moment with these two around.

↳ Unintentionally, Yen doesn't have very many female friends in the industry. When she met Yeeun, it was like the universe had answered her prayers.  ↳  Yeeun is someone that Yen loves to treat like a younger sister, especially because of their one year age difference. Yen sees Yeeun as a talented friend who she wants to just shower with love.

↳ Another god-send was Cleo from Inter-Stellar. After meeting Cleo at an idol party not too long ago, Yen realized how much the two had in common. Their connection was basically instant. ↳ Cleo and Yen seem to be on the same wavelength most of the time and have really similar tastes in humor. ↪ 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 - one of the main reasons why she was chosen to be S.O.T’s leader is because of her stability. she’s extremely level-headed and can make decisions that are necessary in times of crisis. she is someone that people know they can rely on if they need to. it’s not likely of nia to be overwhelmed by her emotions.

↪ 𝐣𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 - without really meaning to, nia sometimes judges people based on the little things they do. usually, she decides whether she likes someone or not based on the first five minutes of interacting with them. during those first five minutes, she’s quick to come to assumptions about the person. she rarely says them out loud, but they still float around in her head.

↪ 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 - with the need to take care of everything comes her controlling attitude. this comes with good intentions, but she often gets carried away when she has an idea in mind that she wants to execute. she doesn’t leave a whole lot of room for collaboration when it comes to times like these.

↪ 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞: yerin was born and raised in cheongju, south korea with her older twin siblings and her parents. her parents were both professors at cheongju university and they spent most of their time at the university. due to her parents busy work schedules, her siblings sometimes played the parental roles more often than her own parents. this role comes naturally because of the six year age differnece between them. even though her parents were not always around during her childhood, she still has a very strong bond with them. her family life is currently very stable and she has a lot of support from her family.

↪ 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐛𝐮𝐭: she’s always had a love for performance and music. during most of her school career, she was apart of her school’s choir. being an idol had only crossed her mind once or twice due to a couple of classmates suggesting the career path.

she became an hbh trainee when she was seventeen after seeing advertisements for the auditions on her school’s music department bulletin board. getting tired of her friends shoving the flyer in her face all the time, she went to seoul for the weekend to audition, bringing her older siblings with her for support. a month later she was made audition callbacks, and the rest is history.

during her trainee days, she was known as a fierce competitor for debut. she was insanely stable, even when doing the most difficult choreography. she also became a fantastic dancer, even though it took her a long time to build her dancing skills. after only a couple months of training, she was added to the predebut project group hbh next girls and was made their leader.

S.O.T : DYNAMICS

GROUP DYNAMICS:

since the three of them had been through hell and back together, they're very close and reliant on each other.

they work together like a well-oiled machine, it's very very rare that these girls will be out of sync with each other.

they treat each other like family: which means that they are more than comfortable being confrontational with each other. 

if a fight does occur, it usually dies down pretty quickly (or at least after some alone time). they don't purposely try to piss each other off, but they know what gets each other going. 

in a massive group like triptych, the girls know that they can rely on each other and keep grounded within their group of three.

INNER-GROUP DYNAMICS:

nia + zim (NIM)

they've been the closest of friends since the start of their training together.

zim actually signed with hbh because she met nia. zim always thought nia was a strong person whom she wanted to be connected with.

since they are very different by nature (zim is more outgoing and chill, nia is more task-oriented and focused), they balance each other out very well. whatever one lacks, the other makes up for.

nia always confides with zim, especially when it comes to venting about other members of the group. being the leader of 18 and counting is very difficult.

overall, a supportive, sisterly relationship that both of them cherish.

zim + yen (YENHA)

the ultimate sibling relationship. 

zim and yen are sometimes at each other's throats. not because they don't get along, but because they are always teasing each other for something.

but beyond the teasing there is a level of trust that these two have that is really hard to replace.

 they rely on each other a lot for emotional support, especially because they are very in-tune to each other's emotional states.

zim is also one of the few people that can actually calm yen down when she gets all worked up. yen doesn’t open up to just anyone, but she trusts zim with just about anything.

yen + nia (YERYEN)

out of the three combinations, this one is probably the weakest, probably because they don't have a whole lot in common.

a lot of the time, yen feels like nia babies her and doesn't see her as an adult. nia thinks yen can be a little irresponsible.

this doesn't mean they aren't close, if anything, they understand each other on a deep level and know what gets under each other’s skin. because of this, they bicker the most out of anyone in S.O.T

they work better when they are in a professional setting. they both have goals they want to meet and they help each other reach those goals. sometimes yen turns into the second-in-command, despite being the youngest of S.O.T

ZIM’s CONNECTIONS

△𝐉𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐈 (𝐒𝐎𝐋𝐎𝐈𝐒𝐓) ➟ 𝐆𝐎𝐎𝐃 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐃△

↳ Zim and Jessi met at a party where Zim was drunk crying on the floor of a bathroom. Jessi basically told her to get it together and helped her into an uber to send her home, but not before giving Zim her cellphone number.  ↳ Despite their messy meeting, they still stayed in contact. Jessi is someone that Zim entrusts a lot of personal things with. Jessi is like the older sister Zim wishes she had. 

△𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐇𝐘𝐔𝐊 (𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐀 𝐗) ➟ 𝐆𝐎𝐎𝐃 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐃△

↳ Minhyuk spends a lot of time at HBH Entertainment because of his close relationship with Vice, and Zim spends a lot of time at Starship Entertainment because of her relationship with Jooheon. They ended up spending a lot of time together and found out that they have a lot in common.  ↳ They spend so much time with each other that they've started completing each other's sentences. Someone stop them. 

△𝐍𝐀𝐑𝐈 (𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐄) ➟ 𝐁𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐃△

↳ Promise's Nari has been Zim's friend since their predebut days. They've spent the majority of their teen years with each other and have a level of understanding between them that runs deep. As cheesy as it is, Zim would say that they are as close as sisters.  ↳ When the world around her is spinning, Zim knows that Nari will always be there for her, and vice versa. 

△𝐇𝐘𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐍 (𝐄𝐗𝐈𝐃) ➟ 𝐆𝐎𝐎𝐃 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐃△

↳ When these two are together, don't expect a relaxed time. They feed off each other's energy and end up being even more chaotic than they would be if they were separated. They both crack each other up and have a very similar sense of humor. ↳ Unbelievably, they were both pretty awkward with each other at first. Mostly due to the EXID and S.O.T feud that was started by gossip outlets and fans. But as they got to know each other, the connection was pretty instant. 

△𝐉𝐀𝐂𝐊𝐒𝐎𝐍 (𝐆𝐎𝐓𝟕) ➟ 𝐄𝐗-𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐍𝐄𝐃 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐃△

↳ A slightly complicated connection, but they’re still friendly with each other so I think it’s worth mentioning. They used to hook up pretty frequently and were exclusive for a few months, but they never called each other ‘boyfriend and girlfriend’. Things ended due to scheduling and personal issues. ↳ However, they’re still in contact and don’t really count their relationship as a valid and loving relationship, as it was mostly physical and neither of them were really in a good mindset, therefore their relationship wasn’t exactly a loving connection.

△𝐉𝐎𝐎𝐇𝐄𝐎𝐍 (𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐀 𝐗) ➟ 𝐁𝐎𝐘𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐃△

↳ Jooheon was formerlly Zim’s idol crush. But after working together on a couple of songs together, it was clear to the both of them how much chemistry they had. Zim honestly thought she was getting punked, but the feelings between them are absolutely mutual. ↳ Jooheon is the most supportive person Zim has ever known and Zim feels a sense of security with him. They have yet to bring their relationship public, but they hope to do so in the future.
